  • In this paper, it is performed the optimal design of the UV LED bar which can be used variously. The UV LED Bar emits ultraviolet rays, so it is important to emit ultraviolet rays constantly for the purpose of use. In order to emit a certain amount of ultraviolet rays as ever, the ultraviolet ray emission should be driven by a constant current source within the operable input voltage range. And also the heat dissipation is particularly important because of the long ultraviolet emission retention time due to the UV utilization characteristics. In addition, since human body protection is essential, the algorithm is configured to operate according to human body detection using distance sensor and Bluetooth. Three 365nm UV LEDs were used in series to emit ultraviolet UVA, operating at the constant current of 500mA with an efficiency of 87.5% and a power consumption of 6.006W. The ultraviolet radiation dose was measured at $5.35mW/cm^2$ at the distance of 10 cm when measured by the Lutron ultraviolet measuring instruments.

  • Recently Wireless communication among short-distance devices has come to notice due to smart phone generalization recently. However, instead of setting up additional H/W, communication technology providing wireless communication based on S/W is in need due to limited availability of NFC's use. Accordingly, short-distance wireless communication technology that makes great use of mike and speaker which installed in every device draws attention. Our thesis suggests improvement of acoustic transmission speed by applying multi-channel parallel transmission and advancement of transmission rate that differed from each mike's own characteristics through optimizing adaptive threshold. The study is not only just applied in specific and limited conditions such as promoting corporation and payments system but also fast and convenient data transmit system general users-oriented.

  • HAP(High Altitude Platform) systems have been proposed due to their unique advantages over terrestrial and satellite systems as the alternative wireless communication system to deliver the third generation IMT-2000 wireless services. It has been required to study for the power control in W-CDMA HAP system as well as the terrestrial mobile system in order to mitigate interference and increase the capacity. In this paper, a new power control has been proposed for HAP system considering the interference profile into the DB(distributed balancing) SIR(signal to interference ratio)-based algorithm which has been considered in terrestrial system, and estimated by the outage performance of the proposed DB algorithm is better remarkably than DBPA(distance-based power allocation) which is proposed for HAP system, and it is the same regardless of the antenna maximum gain and its sidelobe characteristics.

Reactive Ion Etching of InP Using $CH_4/H_2$ Inductively Coupled Plasma ($CH_4/H_2$유도결합 플라즈마를 이용한 InP의 건식 식각에 관한 연구)

  • Reactive ion etching process for InGaAs/InP using the CH4/H2 high density inductively coupled plasma was investigated. The experimental design method proposed by Taguchi was utilized to cover the whole parameter range while maintaining reasonable number of actual experiments. Results showed that the ICP power mainly affects surface roughness and verticality of the sidewall, bias power does etch rate and verticality, CH4 gas concentraion does the verticality and etch rate, and the distance between the induction coil and specimen mostly affects the surface roughness. It was also observed that the chamber pressure is the dominant parameter for the etch rate and verticality of the sidewall. The optimum condition was ICP power 700W, bias power 150 W, 15% $CH_4$, 7.5 mTorr, and 14 cm distance, resulting in about 3 $\mu\textrm{m}$/hr etch rate with smooth surfaces and vertical mesa sidewalls.

Performance Evaluation of Radiation Protection Apron's (방사선방어 앞치마 성능 평가)

  • Radiation exposure is on the rise as the working hours of radiation workers increase. Accordingly, the importance of protection products for decreasing the dose of exposure has risen, and excellent X-ray shielding ability and light weight are required. The purpose of this study is to compare the Pb which use currently and other elements in order to reduce the exposure of workers to the most effective protection products. For experiment, we used the general X-ray equipment and angiography equipment, and obtained the Pb and apron's shielding rate. When the shielding rate of Pb and apron was compared in general X-ray equipment, the shielding rate was 95.1% for Pb 0.5 mm, 96.1% for apron 0.5 mmPb and 95.6% for Bi+W 0.5 mmPb. When compared the shielding rate of each aprons in angiography equipment, 0.5 mmPb apron was the highest as 96.4% and Bi+W 0.25 mmPb apron was the lowest as 90.2% at the 50 cm distance. The shielding rate of 0.5 mmPb apron was the highest as 95.7% and Bi+W 0.25 mmPb apron was the lowest as 85.9% at the 100 cm distance. As a result of evaluating the apron efficiency through this study, 0.5 mmPb apron showed the best shielding rate, but it was the heaviest apron. 0.35 mmPb apron and Bi+W 0.25 mmPb apron weighed light but had low shielding rate. Through the results of this experiment, it is recommended that radiation workers reduce radiation exposure by using more efficient protection products.

  • In this paper, FPGA It/w and S/W Embedded system for LDM remote control is implemented. XScale CPU is used on developed system and in communcation ethenet and serial is used. CPU interface with H/W LDM rotation and to drive LDM FPGA logic is implemented, to transmit LDM data from long distance command packet is composed, for S/W Embedded linux is used to design linux device driver and linux application program. This S/W is run by module so by loading this module to linu)( file system it can do any movement. Also by compiling Embedded linux to the system it can lower the price of the system. By using this H/W and S/W theory it can be used on any other embedded system.

  • This research paper is to develop remote data transmission terminal which is adequate to RFID R/W by using UHF/RF RFID R/W module (WJR7090) and Bluetooth communication(FB755AC) with ARM chipset(AT91SAM7S256). The developed UHF RFID R/W terminal performs tagging of RPID value and transmit the value to server with Bluetooth communication, the transmitted RFID tag value is compared to the Database value and the result is transmitted to the terminal. Performance test was done in order to prove the performance of the terminal, and the test result of the terminal's excellency and transmitted/recevied packet is described.
