미생물의 생체광물형성작용에 따른 모르타르 내구성 검토 (The Examination of Mortar Durability by Microbial Biomineralization)

  • 본 논문에서는 Sporosarcina pasteurii라는 미생물의 생체광물형성작용을 이용하여 Calcite($CaCO_3$) 석출을 유도하고, 이를 Mortar에 적용하여 요구 성능 향상을 평가하였다. Sporosarcina pasteurii를 혼입(input)한 Mortar 시험체(C3S-S.p)와 일반 Mortar 시험체(C3S-W)의 중성화 반응을 실험을 통해 비교한 결과 C3S-S.p가 C3S-W에 비해 중성화가 지연되는 것을 육안으로 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 28日간 Urea-CaCl2 수용액(Medium)에서 양생한 C3S-S.p와 C3S-W의 내구성을 실험을 통해 비교한 결과 Sporosarcina pasteurii를 혼입한 Mortar 시험체(C3S-S.p)가 일반 Mortar 시험체(C3S-W) 비해 내구성이 향상된 것으로 나타났다.

W-band 소형 레이다용 파형발생부 (Waveform Generator for W-band Compact Radar)

  • 본 논문에서는 W-대역 소형 레이다용 파형발생부를 설계 및 제작하였다. 제작된 파형발생부는 DDS를 적용하여 CW 및 FMCW 등 시스템에서 요구되는 다양한 파형을 고속으로 정밀하게 생성한다. 시스템 자체 점검으로 거리 지연 및 거리 추적 시험 시 별도의 점검장비 없이 레이다 자체만으로 시험이 가능하도록 LO 경로를 두 개로 설계하여 스위치를 통해 선택 가능하도록 구현하였다. 제안된 파형발생부는 대역폭 125 MHz, 위상잡음 1 kHz 오프셋(offset)에서 -91 dBc/Hz, 불요파 -63.2 dBc가 측정되었다. 본 논문에서 제시한 파형발생부를 이용하여 W-대역 소형 레이다용 송수신모듈에 바로 적용이 가능할 것으로 예상한다.

Effects of Security Lighting Lamps on Discomfort Glare to Indoor Occupants

  • Purpose: Although security lights are used to secure pedestrian visibility and safety at nighttime, they can generate light trespass in the neighboring residential space. To prevent this, standards for acceptance limits on vertical illuminance and light pollution by the windows of residential buildings are presented. Method: This study thus representatively selected three types of lamps and, through an evaluation and analysis of the physical and subjective discomfort glare per lamp, proposed a discomfort glare index for each lamp. The evaluation and analysis according to the lamps were conducted through experiments. The variables were the security lights' lamps (NH 100W, MH 70W, LED 50W), installation angles ($0^{\circ}$, $20^{\circ}$), and installation distances (3m, 5m, 7m, 9m). Result: According to the results of the discomfort glare evaluation depending on the angles and distances of the security lights, the following minimum standards are proposed: for NH 100W, a discomfort glare index of 30 and an installation distance of 4m; for MH 70W, a discomfort glare index of 32 and an installation distance of 4m; and, for LED 50W, a discomfort glare index of 31 and an installation distance of 6m, respectively. In addition, this paper recommends the use of MH 70W, when the road width is 4m-6m, and LED 50W, when the road width is over 6m, respectively.

금속 구조 변화에 따른 선택 화학기상증착 W Plug의 접합 신뢰성 연구 (The Effects of Metal Structure on the Junction Stability of Sub-micron Contacts Using Selective CVD-W Plug)

  • The junction failure mechanism of W plugs has not been fully understood while the selective W deposition has been widely used for plugging interconnection lines. In this paper, the thermal stability and junction failure mechanism of sub-micron contacts using selective CVD-W plugs were intensively studied with the metal lines of AISiCu, Ti/AISiCu and TiN/AISiCu. The experimental results showed that the contact chain resistance and leakage current in the AISiCu and Ti/AISiCu metallizations were significantly degraded after annealing. From the SEM analysis, it was found that the junction spiking, due to the Al atoms diffusion along the porous interface between selective CVD-W and contactside wall, caused the junction failure. In constast, there was no degradation of the contact resistance and junction leakage current in TiN/AISiCu metal structu-re. It is believed that the TiN barrier layer could prevent AI(Ti) atoms Fromdiffusing. Therefore, TiN barrier between W plug and Al should be used to impro-ve the thermal stability of sub-micron contacts using the selective CVD-W plugs.

Cell Selectivity of an Antimicrobial Peptide Melittin Diastereomer with D-amino Acid in the Leucine Zipper Sequence

  • Melittin (ME), a linear 26-residue non-cell-selective antimicrobial peptide, displays strong lytic activity against bacterial and human red blood cells. To design ME analogue with improved cell selectivity, we synthesized a melittin diastereomer (ME-D) with D-amino acid in the leucine zipper sequence (Leu-6, Lue-13 and Ile-20). Compared to ME, ME-D exhibited the same or 2-fold higher antibacterial activity but 8-fold less hemolytic activity. Circular dichroism analysis revealed that ME-D has much less $\alpha$-helical content in $\alpha$-helical content in the presence of zwitterionic EYPC/cholesterol (10 : 1, w/w) liposomes compared to negatively charged EYPE/EYPG (7 : 3, w/w) liposomes. The blue shift of the fluorescence emission maximum of ME-D in zwitterionic EYPC/cholesterol (10 : 1, w/w) liposomes was much smaller than in negatively charged EYPE/EYPG (7 : 3, w/w) liposomes. These results suggested that the improvement in therapeutic index/cell selectivity of ME-D is correlated with its less permeability to zwitterionic membranes.

Fe-Co-W 소결체와 탄소강의 레이저 용융부 결함형성에 미치는 공정변수의 영향 (The effect of welding parameters on the formation of discontinuities in the laser fusion zone between Fe-Co-W sintered segment and mild steel)

  • This study was performed to clarification of the formation of weld discontinuities in the dissimilar laser fusion zone. Welding parameters were beam power of 1300, 1430, 1560, and 1700 W and travel speed of 1, 1.3, and 1.7 m/min. Most cavities in the fusion zone were observed near the tip. Cavities in the fusion zone observed to be formed and grown from pores in the tip. More cavities were formed as the beam position moves to the tip side. Small cavities were decreased but large cavities were increased when the energy input increased. W content in the fusion zone was increased with heat input and as the beam position close to the tip. In the fusion zone, W content in the dendrite boundary was increased with heat input. Considering the propagation path and fracture morphology, cracks were solidification cracking, and were initiated and propagated along the dendrite boundaries. The formation of cracks might be related with the W rich ${\mu}$ phase which was formed in the grain boundaries and dendrite boundaries.

비선택성 레일리 페이딩 채널 환경에서 디지털 M/W 전송 시스템의 전력 스펙트럼 성능 분석 (Power Spectrum Performance Analysis of Digital M/W Transmission System in Non-Selective Rayleigh Fading Channel)

  • 본 논문에서는 디지털 M/W 전송 채널을 비선택성 레일리 페이딩 채널로 모델링하고 직교 주파수 분할 다중화(OFDM ; Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) 기법을 적용한 디지털 M/W 전송 시스템의 전력 스펙트럼 크기를 시뮬레이션을 통해 분석하였다. 성능 분석 결과, AWGN 환경에서는 고정된 대역폭 내에서 전력 스펙트럼 크기에 큰 널링(ing)이 발생하지 않음을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 비선택성 레일리 페이딩 채널 환경에서는 AWGN 환경보다 전력 스펙트럼 크기가 상대적으로 작아짐을 알 수 있었고, 게다가 반송파 주파수와 이동 차량 속도가 높아지면(도플러 주파수가 커지면) 전력 스펙트럼 크기가 더욱 더 작아짐을 알 수 있었다.

YBCO 초전도 박막 선재용 Ni-W 및 Ni-W-Cu 합금의 격자상수 변화 (Variation of Lattice Constant in Ni-W and Ni-W-Cu Alloys for YBCO Coated Conductor)

  • We fabricated Ni-based alloy substrates for YBCO coated conductor using powder metallurgy. Tungsten and copper were selected as alloy elements due to their mutual solubility to the base element of nickel. The alloying elements were mixed with nickel using ball milling and dried in air. The powder mixtures were packed in a rubber mold, cold isostatic pressed 200 MPa and made into rods. The compacted rods were sintered at $1150^{\circ}C$ for 6 hours for densification. It was confirmed by neutron diffraction experiment that W and Cu atoms made complete solid solution with Ni. Lattice constant of nickel alloy increased by $0.004{\AA}$ for 1at. $\%$ W in Ni-W alloy, $0.0006{\AA}$ for 1 at. $\%$ Cu in Ni-W-Cu alloy.

붕장어의 어체제원과 어구강목과의 관계 (Relationship Between the Body Dimension of Sea Eel , Astroconger Myriaster and the Mesh Size of Fishing Gears)

  • 1987년 9월중에 남부해역에서 부산수산대학 실습선 402호와 403호를 이용하여 통발 어구로써 어획한 붕장어 Astroconger myriaster의 전장\ulcorner체중 및 굵기 등의 상호관계와 어체 크기와 어구망목과의 관계를 분석한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 전장 L, 체중 W 및 굵기 D의 상호관계는 W=3.58$\times$10 상(-4) L 상(3.38) (r=0.99). D=0.07 L-0.59 (r=0.99). W=10.38 D 상(2.76) (r=1.00). W=1/2$\times$D 상(2)\ulcornerL 과 같이 표현된다. 2. 붕장어를 어획하는 통발 어구의 그물코 크기와 구멍의 직경은 각각 29.2mm, 18.6mm이상 되어야 한다.

미숙 청방울 토마토 피클 제조 조건에 관한 연구 (Properties of Immature Green Cherry Tomato Pickles)

  • This study was carried out to optimize the production of immature green cherry tomato pickles and to produce green cherry tomato pickles of good sensory quality. The composition of immature green cherry tomato pickles was optimized using a central composition design with 3 variables and 3 levels. The overall acceptability score, based on sensory evaluation, was best, when the immature green cherry tomato pickles contained 231 g of vinegar, 52.6 g of salt, 168.3 g of sugar, 204 g of tomatoes, and 231 $m{\ell}$ of water. The statically predicted optimal formulation of immature green cherry tomato pickles on overall acceptability value was 33.54%(w/w) of vinegar, 7.64%(w/w) of salt, 25.28%(w/w) of sucrose, 33.54%(w/w) of water. The optimal conditions for producing immature green cherry tomato pickles should consider the factors of time and temperature of storage.
