In the Literatual Study on the Dysphonia, the results were as follows. 1. The causes of dysphonia are exogenous pathogenic factors,(specially cold evil)internal damage and meridian in The Yellow Emperor's Canon of Interal Medicine, since then endogenous pathogenic factors are lung-asthenia and deficiency of lung-yin etc. The main causes are disease caused by exogenous evils, general body weakness, emotional stimulation and excess of high voice rescently. 2. The pathogenesis of dysphonia originated from two factors; The first internal damages are consumption of body fluid with the formation of dryness evil resulting from the insufficienty of lung-yin and lung-collaterals damaged by heat-evil caused by deficiency of lung and kidney-yin. The second disease caused by exogenous evils is sluggishness of lung-energy caused by exogenous pathogenic factors. 3. The main relative organ are heart, lung and kidney etc. 4. The prescriptions of wind-cold symptoms are Samyoutang(三拗湯) and Hangsosan(杏蘇散), in the prescriptions of phlegm-heat symptom is Chenginyongphetang(淸咽寧肺湯), in the prescriptions of depressive syndrome due to disorder of vital energy are Sogangkitang(小降氣湯) and Shihochenggantang(柴胡淸肝湯加減), in the prescriptions of consumption of body fluid with the formation of dryness evil resulting from the insufficiency of lung-yin symptoms are Sanghangtang(桑杏湯) and Chenginguphetang(淸咽救肺湯, in the prescriptions of deficiency of lung and kidney-yin are Baekhabgokumtang(百合固金湯) and Maekmigiwhangtang(麥味地黃湯). 5. The treatment of acupunctures are used by LI-4(合谷), H-7(湧泉), Liv-3(太衝), K-3(太谿), Sp-6(三陰交), H-5(通里), GV-15(아門), CV-23(廉泉), S-40(農隆), K-6(照海), L-7(列缺), S-36(足三里) etc.

Alagille syndrome is an autosomal dominant genetic disorder and occurs in approximately 1 in 100,000 live births. Diagnostic criteria was established by Alagille. It is mainly caused by a mutation in the Jagged1 gene. Major clinical features of this syndrome are paucity of intrahepatic bile duct with cholestasis, characteristic facies, cardiac murmur, defects of vertebrae, and embryotoxon. And minor clinical features are mental retardation, renal involvement, growth retardation, other skeletal abnormalities, a high-pitched voice. The surviving prognosis of Alagille syndrome patients depends on the severity of cardiovescular malformation in the early ages of infant. However, with the increasing years, it depends on the severity of the liver disease. Cholestasis causes congenital jaundice, malnutrition and growth retardation. Also, the increase of serum cholesterol level cause xanthoma and pruritus. Even though the severity of these problems are reduce with age, there is cases where there is no way but liver transplantation. For oral features of Alagille syndrome patients, green discoloration of entire dentition, induced by bilirubin infiltration into dentinal tubules, is especially. Also, xanthoma on gingiva and partial hypodontia have been reported. This report is on the oral features of an Alagille syndrome patient who visited to Kyung-Pook University Hospital.
If the software is developed to analyze the speech disorder, the application of various converged areas will be very high. This paper implements the user-friendly program based on CART(Classification and regression trees) analysis to distinguish between normal and pathological voices utilizing combination of the acoustical and HOS(Higher-order statistics) parameters. It means convergence between medical information and signal processing. Then the acoustical parameters are Jitter(%) and Shimmer(%). The proposed HOS parameters are means and variances of skewness(MOS and VOS) and kurtosis(MOK and VOK). Database consist of 53 normal and 173 pathological voices distributed by Kay Elemetrics. When the acoustical and proposed parameters together are used to generate the decision tree, the average accuracy is 83.11%. Finally, we developed a program with more user-friendly interface and frameworks.

Melody intonation therepy (MIT) is to improve the linguistic aspects of the verbal utterance for aphasic patients utilizing the intact right brain. It is applied to the aphasic patients with good comprehension, poor fluency, and little available speech are thought to be ideal candidates. The purpose of the study was to investigate the effects of Korean Melody intonation therapy (kMIT) in patients with non-fluent aphasia. Five male non-fluent aphasic patients were participated in this study. Average ages were 49.9 years old. Each therapy took 45-50minutes once a week for six months. Aphasic Screen lest (RISS) was used to assess language parameter such as Auditory comprehension, oral expression, reading, writing and calculation ability before and after kMIT. Mean of Length Utterance, verbal intelligibility and articulation disorder were assessed also. Computerized Speech Lab was used to assess the acoustic characteristics of aphasic patients before and after kMIT. The results are as follows : 1) Auditory comprehension, oral expression, reading, writing and calculation ability of the subjects increased after UH'. However, only oral expression showed significant difference (p<0.05). 2) Mean of Length Utterance of five patients generally increased after Un. 3) After kMIT, verbal intelligibility increased and showed significant difference (p<0.05). 4) Misarticulation rate generally decreased after m. 5) Voice Onset Time of the alveolar lenis /t/ and velar lenis /k/ gradually decreased after kMIT. 6) However, intonation pattern were increased gradually in yes'no question after kMIT.

In the treatment of spasmodic dysphonia, local injection of botulinum toxin A has been reported to be successful. The treatment of adductor type spasmodic dysphonia with botulinum toxin type A injection using a flexible nasopharyngoscope was conducted in 29 patients and using a telearyngoscope in 31 patients. These patients were given toxins in the vocal fold(s), unilaterally or bilaterally, under flexible nasopharyngoscopic guidance with sclerosing needle or telelaryngoscopic guidance with 23 gauge scalp needle attached by laryngeal forceps. Before the above procedure, laryngeal anesthesia was done with 2% pontocain instillation. Among the 60 patients, 59 patients were given the toxin successfully. Telephone interview were made at 2weeks and then at 4 weeks post injection. Among 29 patients using a flexible nasopharyngoscope, 75.8% and among 31 patients using a telelaryngoscope, 90.0% reported that the patients' symptom was improved. The functional status of the patient's disorder was classified into four grades. The mean pre-injection grade fir the patients using flexible nasopharyngoscope and telelaryngoscope was 1.6 and 2.1 respectively. And it was lowered to 0.7 and 1.1 respectively after the injection. The result was similar(p<0.05). As a self assessment method, the patients were asked to rate their voice on a scale of 100. In this study, the mean pre-injection score was 44 and 40 respectively. And it was improved to 77.7 and 69.8 respectively after the injection. The result was similar(p<0.05). In conclusion, botulinum toxin injection using a flexible nasopharyngoscope is also an effective method for the treatment of adductor type spasmodic dysphonia as using a telelaryngoscope.

In the treatment of spasmodic dysphonia, laryngeal injection of botulinum toxin has been reported to be successful. The treatment of adductor type spasmodic dysphonia with botulinum toxin type A injection using EMG was conducted in 24 patients and it's effect was compared with results from flexible nasopharyngoscopy guided injection(29 patients) and telelaryngoscopy guided injection(31 patients). Sixty two point five percent(62.5%) of patients using EMG and 75.8% of patients using flexible nasopharyngoscope and 90.0% of patients using telelaryngoscope reported that the patient's symptom was improved. The functional status of the patient's disorder was classified into low grades. The mean pre-injection grade for patients using EMG, flexible nasopharyngoscope and telelaryngoscope was 1.7, 1.6 and 2.1 respectively. And it was lowered to 1.0, 0.7 and 1.1 respectively after the injection. Results were similar(p<0.05). As a self assessment method, patients were asked to rate their voice on a scale of 100. In this study, the mean pre-injection score was 66.3, 44.0 and 40.0 respectively. And it was improved to 74.8, 77.7 and 69.8 respectively after the injection. Among 23 patients who undergone above 3method, 17 patients(73.9%) told that EMG-guided botulinum injection was preferable method in its convenience and effectiveness. In conclusion, EMG guided botulinum toxin injection is an another effective method for the treatment of adductor type spasmodic dysphonia similar to telelaryngoscopy-guided injection and flexible nasopharyngoscopy guided injection.

Cerebral palsy is one of the most serious forms of disorders of the psychophysical development of children, which manifests itself in disturbances of motor functions, which are often combined with speech disorders, other complications of the formation of higher mental functions, and often with a decrease in intelligence. The article will discuss the speech disorder in children with cerebral palsy. Emphasis is placed on some important aspects, which should bear in mind, investigating the problem of specifics of speech development of children with cerebral palsy. In particular at the heart of speech disorders in the cerebral palsy is not only damage to certain structures of the brain, but also the later formation or underdevelopment of those parts of the cerebral cortex, which are of major importance in linguistic and mental activity. This is an ontogenetically young region of the cerebral cortex, which is most rapidly developing after birth (premotor, frontal, temmono-temporal). It is important to take into account, that children with cerebral palsy have disturbances of phonemic perception. Often, children do not distinguish between hearing sounds, cannot repeat component rows, allocate sounds in words. At dysarthria, there are violations of pronunciation of vowel and consonant sounds, tempo of speech, modulation of voice, breathing, phonation, as well as asynchronous breathing, alignment and articulation. As a result, we identified the main features and specifics of the speech development of children with cerebral palsy and described the conditions necessary for the full development of language. Language disturbances in children's cerebral palsy depend on the localization and severity of brain damage. Great importance in the mechanism of speech disorders has a pathology that limits the ability of movement and knowledge of the world.

The short-term music therapy was performed for adolescents with conduct disorder admitted to Seoul National Mental Hospital for 3 months from Jun to September, 1998. This case study focused mainly on two female patients who participated regularly in the group music therapy. The music therapy process was divided into three phases;beginning, opening up, and closing. This music therapy session consisted of three parts;hello song as beginning, various musical activities, and sound & movement activity as closing. Free musical improvisation, song discussion, musical monodrama, and sound & movement were the mainly applied techniques. Free improvisation was used to enhance, motivate, identify and contain the adolescents' feelings and ideas. Song discussion was used to convey their thoughts and to support each other. Musical monodrama was used to make them have insights into interpersonal relationships. Sound & movement was used to enhance spontaneity. It made them explore their body and voice as an expressive medium. Throughout three months period of music therapy, patient A's communication skill, socialization, and behavior areas were assessed with improvement. She could use music as a symbolic form and was able to share her feelings about herself and her family. Patient B's self-expression and cognitive areas were assessed with improvement. She became more spontaneous and could verbalize her emotions during the group session. Music as a non-verbal and therefore often a non-threatening medium wherein so much can be expressed provided two female patients an atmosphere where a sense of trust may be regained.

Pompe disease is a genetic disorder caused by a deficiency of acid ${\alpha}$-glucosidase (GAA). Infantile onset Pompe disease is uniformly lethal. Affected infants generally present in the first few months of life with hypotonia, generalized muscle weakness, and a hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which is rapidly followed by death, usually by the age of one. The late-onset form is characterized less severe symptoms and prognosis. Therapy for Pompe disease is intended to directly address the underlying metabolic defect via intravenous infusions of recombinant human GAA to replace the missing enzyme. We report a case of atypical infantile-onset Pompe disease that presented symptoms in infancy but had less severe clinical manifestations and improved after GAA enzyme replacement ($Myozyme^{(R)}$, Genzyme Co., MA, USA) therapy. It is very important that pediatricians become aware of signs and symptoms of Pompe disease, such as a nasal voice or a waddling gait at an early stage so that these patients can benefit from appropriate GAA replacement therapy as soon as possible.
The Korean Police Force is equipped with the dual responsibility to not only protect the constitutional right to protest, but also prevent potential disorder and misconduct might be caused by the abuse of such a right. To this end, the Korean national police employ the crowd counting methodology, termed 'Maximum Figure at Any One Time' with a view to dispatching the proportionate number of police officers to protest scenes for safety management. However, protest organizers rather take advantage of 'Cumulative Figure' methodology, the purpose of which being to publicize the wide recognition of success, noticeably by demonstrating that as many people as possible support for their cause or voice. Hence, different estimates generated by different methods have raised serious political issues in Korean society. Nevertheless, it is found out that there are only three existing academic studies in Korea regarding crowd counting methods, and they are mainly geared towards comparing the two methods, unfortunately without any attempt to analyze the foreign literature in details. Keeping the research gap in mind, the research conducts a comprehensive review of the foreign literature with relation to protest crowd counting methods. Derived from the review and analysis, the counting methods can be broadly categorized into the three models such as: 1) Grid/Density Model, 2) Moving Crowds Model, and 3) Electronic & Non-Image Model. In the end, the research provides brief explanations regarding specific research findings per each model, and further, suggests some policy implications for the development of more accurate crowd counting methodology at protests in Korea.
