A Study on the Monitoring and Evaluation of Priority Projects for Urban Regeneration (도시재생사업의 모니터링 및 평가방안 연구: 선도지역을 사례로)

  • This study is significant by suggesting the plan of urban regeneration strategy, selection of vitalization area and build basic DB for establishing a plan of urban regeneration vitalization and draw measures to evaluate and monitor as urban regeneration project is promoted in earnest. For the process of study, basic DB and evaluation monitoring index were examined based on collaboration proposal of 13 leading areas and (the agenda of) the plan of urban regeneration vitalization in 4 areas(Seoul, Changwon, Busan, Yeongju). This study can be concluded as follows; First, general information system which can support regeneration strategy vitalization plans for smooth promotion of the project and manage regeneration vitalization project and all kinds of city maintenance projects systematically are necessary. Second, monitoring of regeneration project should be firstly institutionalized. thrid, it's necessary to secure that city or county foundational management plan and the relations during the establishment of strategic vitalization plan. Finally, it's necessary to introduce and evaluate modularized plan suitable for Bottom-up regeneration project.

  • This study is to find out vitalization plan of rural village festival through field survey and in-depth interview. Festival vitalization plans were suggested for each of four steps. The results are as follows: (1) preparing stage : disambiguation of supporting festival, adjustment of selecting times & improvement of selecting index in supporting festival, support of planning & managing ability, and systematization of festival consulting team. (2) planning stage : supporting differentiated festival program development, and public relations of rural village festival. (3) operating stage : flexible utilization of supporting budget and systematization of festival supporters operation. (4) ending stage : holding a workshop to share successful festival cases.

A Proposed Vitalization Plan based on Residents' Perception for Gunsan Bi-eung Port Development Plan (군산 비응항 개발사업에 대한 지역주민의 인식 및 활성화 방안)

  • As a part of the Saemangeum development, the Gunsan Bi-eung port is underway to be developed for a tourism complex. Since the perception and preferences of the residents are one of the most important steps for the project, those were surveyed and analyzed to generate a proposed vitalization plan. Based on the survey, most of residents had negative opinions on the current development and condition as well as the effectiveness of the development in the future. Residents also pointed out that leisure facilities and higher level of accommodation were necessary, and desired a coastal deck in the Bi-eung beach. Therefore, for vitalization of Bi-eung port area, construction of a comprehensive resort with sports and leisure facility is suggested to attract visitors. Also, efforts from residents and administrative supports are required in marketing, advertizement, and sound business environment.

  • Interests in tourism and leisure have increased with the quality of life in Korea. The government takes the lead in development of tourism for balanced development between regions and local governments use development of tourism as a means for vitalization of local economy. The sustainable and eco-friendly development plan is required for the tourism development, because it needs effective use of limited natural resources and consideration of environmental capacity in the region. This study analyzed the trend of tourism development during nine years, and problems with respect to planning and environment aspects on the basis of four examples which follow recent development trend. We suggest improvement plan that 1) establishment of consistency and systematics of tourism development, 2) enforcement of setting up regional tourism development plan, 3) comprehensive and systematic plan establishment in consideration of private sector, 4) reasonable adjustment and environmental management for development project of approval organization, 5) removal of duplicate regulations for development project. Application of the improvement plan while setting up tourism plan could contribute to vitalization of local economy, and environmental preservation and management.

  • The study is aimed to suggest user-oriented improvement strategies for spatial plan of senior centers that provide the elderly with leisure and welfare functions for in rural areas. Five counties with the highest ratio of the elderly of 65 or over were selected from Gyeongsangbuk-do rural areas. The study classified the senior centers into 5 types depending on their floor plan, conducted individual interviews on the representatives and users of the centers using open-end questions through one-day observation on the spot, and performed actual measurement of the floor and analysis of current use. Based on above research, the result was drawn by physical characteristics, the current use, and requirements. The study is intended to serve as preliminary data for future plan of senior centers in rural areas.

  • This study aims to investigate the residents' and village leaders' complementary demand for the regional economic vitalization and 6th industrialization in the rural. Based on the field expert'(the head of the village or the chairmen of the farming association) interview, the study was conducted. For the study, 42 villages where selected to consider as 6th industry. Cross table were conducted to see if there were any differences of demand and consideration for between the type of 6th industries. This article further improve the rural environment for 6th industrialization, improve the policy measures in that rural can plan the basis for an effective strategy can be.

The Actual Management and Vitalization Plans for Small Libraries in the Jeju Region (제주지역의 작은도서관 운영실태 및 활성화 방안)

  • This study set out to examine the actual management of 21 small libraries in the Jeju region and search for their vitalization plans based on it with a survey among practitioners. For these purposes, the investigator examined the overall real conditions of small libraries in their management and work situations covering their service hours, program management, volunteer activities, facility expansion, exchanges with common public libraries, work-related education, job priorities, promotional activities, and service for vitalization. Based on findings, the study proposed to induce local residents' interest in small libraries, expand reading culture program, secure professionalism of management manpower, recruit more management manpower, expand budgets for the management of a small library, establish a set of criteria for the expenses of management manpower, build a support center for small libraries.

A Study on Community Senior Citizen Center as the Senior Health Care Center Vitalization Plan Measures

  • Purpose. This study aims to explore Situations and Problems of the Community Senior Citizen Center as the senior health care and the Elderly's Leisure status. Then, aims to arrange Activation Vitalization Plan of the senior's leisure in Community Senior Citizen Center. Methods. The literature and data used in this study was based on a questionnaire survey, mostly from Gyeongki-Do Community Senior Citizen Center Branch and statistical research data. Literature review and analysis frequency was by reference to the paperback and academic papers related to the senior health welfare. Results. First, the period of the seniors with the Community Senior Citizen Center as health facilities has appeared in 6-10years(32.8%), followed by the response showing that more than 10years(32.4%). Therefore, it reveals that the senior live in the same region in the long term. Second, the number of days that the senior health care the Community Senior Citizen Center has been used by the senior was over 5days. This result was supported by 608people(61.7%). Both men and women replied that they use the health center more than five days. Third, the number of the senior who responded that they use the Community Senior Citizen Center as health facilities 629people(63.9%). They replied that they use the facilities mostly afternoon. The senior use the facilities all day appeared to 263people(26.7%). Conclusions. It seems like that there needs to be a variety of personalized programs that can be added to increase the life satisfaction of the senior participation in leisure programs for the Community Senior Citizen Center as senior health facilities in the future. Additionally, the government needs to require a wide range of financial support for the Community Senior Citizen Center as senior health care and devise the strategies that will lead the health center for the senior need to be actively utilized.

An Empirical Study on the Factors to Affect a BIS Use and Its Vitalization Plan : Busan Metropolitan City (버스정보안내기 이용요인 및 활성화 방안에 관한 실증연구 : 부산광역시를 중심으로)

  • The government has implemented operating the bus information terminal (hereinafter, 'BIT') to use by building it at a major bus station to solve the problem of traffic congestion. Busan Metropolitan City has been continuously expanding the installation of 'BIT' since 2003. However, there are few research on the factor to use and satisfaction survey on 'BIT' from the perspective of the users. This study, in an effort to inquire into the 'BIT' utilization factor and its vitalization plan, conducted a face to face survey of 172 citizens who had the experience in the 'BIT'. The result of the data analysis showed that usability, convenience, and availability were the critical factors for a BIT use. In addition, the general intention to use 'BIT' was found to be very high as much as 90.7%. The contributions of this study are as follows. The academic contributions is that it proved the relationship between usability, convenience and the intention to use suggested by the information technology acceptance model is supported even in case of 'BIT.' For the practitioners this study provides ground data for a local government to make a plan of a BIT extension.
