트리즈 기반의 창의적 문제해결 프로세스 (TRIZ-based Creative Problem Solving Process)

  • 본 논문에서는 공학교육을 통해 학생들의 창의적 문제해결 능력을 개발하기 위해서, 트리즈 기반의 창의적 문제해결 프로세스를 제안하고, 그 가운데 특히 문제 정의 및 아이디어 창출 방법에 대해 소개하였다. 트리즈는 러시아의 알트슐러가 창안한 창의적 문제해결 이론으로, 지금까지 많은 실무에 적용되어 이미 그 우수성이 입증된 이론이다. 창의성을 방해하는 주요 요인으로 크게 심리적 타성, 지식 부족, 잘못된 문제 설정 및 모순 해결 회피를 들 수 있는데, 트리즈는 이 네 가지를 모두 해결할 수 있는 많은 해법을 제시하고 있다. 따라서 교육을 통해서 학생들의 창의적 문제해결 능력을 개발함에 있어서 트리즈를 활용하는 것이 매우 유용할 것으로 판단된다. 특히 문제정의가 잘못되면 아무리 좋은 해결안을 도출해도 시간 낭비일 뿐이며, 이런 점에서 정확한 문제정의 능력은 공학도에게 매우 중요한 능력이며, 문제해결을 위한 창의적 아이디어를 반복적으로 도출할 수 있는 능력 역시 매우 필수적이라고 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 특히 트리즈의 모순 개념을 활용하여 인식된 문제의 근본 원인을 분석해서 진짜 문제를 정의하고, 분리원리를 활용하여 모순을 적극적으로 해결함으로써 보다 창의적인 아이디어를 창출할 수 있는 방법에 초점을 맞추어 기술하였다.

테크놀로지를 활용한 수학영재교육에 대한 교사들의 인식 (A study on the teachers' awareness for mathematical gifted education using technology)

  • 본 논문은 테크놀로지를 활용한 영재교육에 대한 영재교사들의 인식을 조사하기 위하여, J 대학교 교육연수원에서 60시간의 영재교육 직무연수에 참여한 20명의 교사를 대상으로 테크놀로지를 활용한 영재교육에 대한 교사들의 인식을 조사 분석하였다. 테크놀로지를 활용한 영재교육에 대한 영재교사들의 인식을 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 영재교사의 테크놀로지 활용 능력이 영재교사의 전문성 중 프로그램을 개발하는 능력과 영재에 대한 적합한 교수 학습 방법을 이해하고 적용하는 능력에 포함된 다. 둘째, 테크놀로지를 활용한 영재교육은 영재아들에게 창의적 문제 해결 능력과 사고력을 증진시키는데 도움을 준다. 셋째, 테크놀로지를 활용한 영재교육은 직관적 통찰, 정보의 조직화와 공간화/시각화 능력을 개발하는데 도움을 준다. 넷째, 테크놀로지를 활용한 영재교육은 영재아들에게 창의성의 구성요소 중 유창성, 융통성과 독창성 개발에 도움을 준다.

AnoVid: 비디오 주석을 위한 심층 신경망 기반의 도구 (AnoVid: A Deep Neural Network-based Tool for Video Annotation)

  • In this paper, we propose AnoVid, an automated video annotation tool based on deep neural networks, that automatically generates various meta data for each scene or shot in a long drama video containing rich elements. To this end, a novel meta data schema for drama video is designed. Based on this schema, the AnoVid video annotation tool has a total of six deep neural network models for object detection, place recognition, time zone recognition, person recognition, activity detection, and description generation. Using these models, the AnoVid can generate rich video annotation data. In addition, AnoVid provides not only the ability to automatically generate a JSON-type video annotation data file, but also provides various visualization facilities to check the video content analysis results. Through experiments using a real drama video, "Misaeing", we show the practical effectiveness and performance of the proposed video annotation tool, AnoVid.

구조물의 품질 결함 변별력 증대를 위한 수직 에너지 기반의 웨이블릿 Feature 생성 (Structural Quality Defect Discrimination Enhancement using Vertical Energy-based Wavelet Feature Generation)

  • In this paper a novel feature extraction and selection is carried out in order to improve the discriminating capability between healthy and damaged structure using vibration signals. Although many feature extraction and selection algorithms have been proposed for vibration signals, most proposed approaches don't consider the discriminating ability of features since they are usually in unsupervised manner. We proposed a novel feature extraction and selection algorithm selecting few wavelet coefficients with higher class discriminating capability for damage detection and class visualization. We applied three class separability measures to evaluate the features, i.e. T test statistics, divergence, and Bhattacharyya distance. Experiments with vibration signals from truss structure demonstrate that class separabilities are significantly enhanced using our proposed algorithm compared to other two algorithms with original time-based features and Fourier-based ones.

  • GIS can supply large quantitiy of useful information about spacial relationship, consequently there exists great potential of GIS support ing for decision making strategies related to urban design and environmental planning. In different discipline areas there exist different information representation methods and considerations having direct or indirect relationship with spacial information, how to use GIS as a tool for facilitating the work in other discipline field, there are two basic questions crucial to the success of these interdiscipline applications. The first one is interoperatability among GIS and other applications, the second is the paradigm difference between GIS and other domain field regarding problem solving. In this paper, we investigate the spatial information of the urban environment provided in the analyses of the urban visual sustain ability, urban daylighting environment and urban wind environment. We also discuss the challenges and opportunities for cross-disciplinary GIS application regarding the aspect of Information Collection, Information Generation, Information Analysis and Information Visualization.

  • This paper presents a user-friendly application for voltage sag analysis and effective visualization for analysis date. This developed tool provides basic functions for voltage sag analysis such as load flow analysis, short circuit analysis and determination of vulnerability of sensitive equipments. Particularly it has the ability to visualize analysis results effectively using computer graphic and animation. In order to give the real sense, analysis results are displayed with geographical information in an intuitive and rapid manner. The developed voltage sag simulator is applied to the Jeju-Island power system in order to show its capabilities.

  • In pre-surgical evaluation of pediatric epilepsy, the combined use of multiple imaging modalities for precise localization of the epileptogenic focus is a worthwhile endeavor. Advanced neuroimaging by high field Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), diffusion tensor images, and MR spectroscopy have the potential to identify subtle lesions. $^{18}F$-FDG positron emission tomography and single photon emission tomography provide visualization of metabolic alterations of the brain in the ictal and interictal states. These techniques may have localizing value for patients which exhibit normal MRI scans. Functional MRI is helpful for non-invasively identifying areas of eloquent cortex. These advances are improving our ability to noninvasively detect epileptogenic foci which have gone undetected in the past and whose accurate localization is crucial for a favorable outcome following surgical resection.

  • There has been a big need of Safety Education for the power plants with a high risk due to the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster and the tragic accident of Sewol Ferry. The object of this research is for studying ways of developing contents for customized Power Plants Safety Education applied with 'Story Viewing' technology in order to improve the present format of Power Plant Safety Education based on hard copied documents so as to prevent human mistakes because of lack of system and ability of initial response which come from safety frigidity shown in the case of Sewol Accident. 'Story-viewing' applied to Power Plant Safety Education is the methodology to enhance information communicability utilizing IT/Visualization technology combined with Story Telling that is an effective propagation way.

  • Phase-contrast(PC) methods have been used for quantitative measurements of velocity and volume flow rate. In addition, phase contrast cine magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) combines the flow dependent contrast of PC MRI with the ability of cardiac cine imaging to produce images throughout the cardiac cycle. In this method, the through-plane velocity has been encoded generally. However, the accuracy of the flow data can be reduced by the effect of flow direction, finite slice thickness, resolution, pulsatile flow pattern, and so on. In this study we calculated the error caused by misalignment of tomographic plane and flow directon. To reduce this error and encode the velocity for more complex flow, we suggested 3 directional velocity encoding method.
