소규모 분산자원의 효율적 운용을 위한 가상발전소 플랫폼 개발 (A study on the development of a virtual power plant platform for the Efficient operation of small distributed resources)

  • 본 연구에서 고찰되는 가상발전소(VPP; Virtual Power Plant) 솔루션 플랫폼은 전력회사가 발전·송전설비 등의 건설에 소요되는 비용과 이와 관련된 투자리스크를 최소화 한다. 또한, 소비자의 전력 수요를 충족할 수 있도록 수요대응(DR; Demand Response) 프로그램운영 기능을 포함시켜 VPP도입으로 발전 및 송·배전부문에 대한 대규모 설비투자 없이 현존하는 발전기와 DR 프로그램 등을 통해서 소비자의 부하변화에 실시간으로 대처하여 보다 친환경적이고 효율적인 전력공급이 가능하도록 한다. 태양광 및 ESS 연동 장치에 통신 Device를 연동하기 위해서는 Device 장치와 Edge System간 제어·상태에서 데이터를 전달하고 IoT Device 및 연동 플랫폼 개발(OneM2M)이 필요하다.

  • 본 논문에서는 블루투스 무선 링크를 이용한 실시간 오디오 스트리밍을 위해 DSP를 내장한 SoC (System-on-Chip) 플랫폼 상에서 임베디드 블루투스 솔루션의 개발과 최적화에 대해 설명한다. 개발된 솔루션을 이식성을 고려해서 가상 운영체제 상에서 구현된 임베디드 블루투스 프로토콜 스택, 프로파일과 타겟 멀티미디어 SoC의 특성을 이용한 최적화 기법들을 포함한다. 수요 최적화 기법으로는 SoC 내의 스크래치 패드 메모리의 활용을 통한 메모리 접근 최소화, DSP 연산과 병렬 메모리 접근 명령을 이용한 코덱 구현, 무선 통신 환경을 고려한 동적 오디오 품질 조정 등이 있다. 실험 결과는 본 연구에서 제안한 최적화 기법을 적용한 임베디드 솔루션은 별도의 외부 메모리 없이 고품질 오디오 스트리밍을 지원할 수 있음을 보여준다.

이족 보행 로봇을 위한 빠르고 안전한 접촉 생성 전략 (Fast and Safe Contact Establishment Strategy for Biped Walking Robot)

  • One of the most challenging issues when robots interact with the environment is to establish contact quickly and avoid high impact force at the same time. The proposed method implements the passive suspension system using the redundancy of the torque-controlled robot. Instead of utilizing the actual mechanical compliance, the distal joints near the end-effector are controlled to act as a virtual spring-damper system with low feedback gains. The proximal joints are precisely controlled to push the mid-link, which is defined as the boundary link between the proximal and distal joints, towards the environment with high feedback gains. Compared to the active compliance methods, the contact force measurements or estimates are not required for contact establishment and the control time delay problems do not occur correspondingly. The proposed method was applied to the landing foot control of the 12-DoF biped robot DYROS-RED in the simulations. In the results, the impact force during landing was significantly reduced at the same collision speed.

Passivity Control of a Passive Haptic Device based on Passive FME Analysis

  • In this paper, a control method is presented to improve performance of haptic display on a passive haptic device equipped with passive actuators. In displaying a virtual wall with the passive haptic device, an unstable behavior occurs with excessive actions of brakes due to the time delay mainly arising from the update rate of the virtual environment and force approximation originated from the characteristics of the passive actuators. The previous T.D.P.C. (Time Domain Passivity Control) method was not suitable for the passive haptic device, since a programmable damper used in the previously introduced T.D.P.C. method easily leads to undesirable behaviors. A new passivity control method is evaluated with considering characteristics of the passive device. First, we propose a control method which is designed under the analysis of the passive FME (Force Manipulability Ellipsoid). And then a passivity control scheme is applied to the proposed control method. Various experiments have been conducted to verify the proposed method with a 2-link mechanism.

  • The Internet traffic is forecasted to grow at a compound annual rate of 21 % from 2013 to 2018, according to surveys carried out by Cisco [1]. Network resources are significantly over-provisioned in today's networks, and it is quite common to see link utilization in the 30-40% range [2]. Additionally, the multi-media services have widely divergent bandwidth and Quality of Experience (QoE) requirements. Unfortunately, the huge transmission capacity will increase the power consumption of network equipment [3]. Applications Coordinated with Transport, Internet Protocol and Optical Networks (ACTION) [4] has been proposed to realize a multi-QoE, application-centric, and highly energy-efficient network that leverages flexible elastic optical network technologies [5-7]. This paper provides key network technologies for realizing the ACTION, which are a virtual optical slice core network and a Time Division Multiplexing (TDM)-based deterministic active optical access network.

  • Agricultural hydraulic robot which was reported in Part Ⅰ had been developed . The robot satisfied performance to intend before development. For actual use, however, it have been necessary to reduce manipulator weigh and to simplify construction of hydraulic control valve. Then, working stress of manipulator link and pressure fluctuation of hydraulic circuit were measured. Step and frequency response tests were done subject to amplitude of reference voltage of 0.1 , 0.3 , 0.5 and 1.0v. and delivery pressure of 3.5 and 5.0MPa. Working stress were about 25% comparing with fatigue strength, Thus, mass of manipulator might be reduce to 30 %. In hydraulic control system, virtual natural frequency of 6.5Hz is produced from the combination of drain passage area shortage of servovalve. Further , because of passage area shortage , working pressure at both side of cylinder was acted on. This phenomenon prevent utilize effectively engine power. Then, control valve for new model was p oposed.

  • 본 논문에서는 새로운 가상 토폴로지 재구성 기법을 제안하여 WDM 기반의 클러스터 시스템 구현을 위한 이론 연구를 수행하였다. 제안 기법의 핵심 아이디어는 파장 할당이 요구되는 연결 요청을 최대한 이어서 집합을 형성하는 것으로, 각 집합은 서로 소이며 집합 내의 연결 요청들 중에는 링크의 중복이 일어나지 않도록 한다. 이러한 조건을 만족하도록 집합을 형성한 후, 각 집합마다 파장을 하나씩 할당한다. 이는 일괄적으로 재구성을 수행하는 방법이다. 제안된 기법은 OWns 시뮬레이션도구를 사용하여 측정한 결과, 블로킹 확률 및 ADM 이용율 측면에서 First-fit 기법에 비해 10% 정도의 블로킹 감소율과 30% 정도의 ADM 이용율이 향상되었음을 보였다.

  • We developed a Part Information Brokering System, namely PIBS, that can inter-link part suppliers and buyers using WWW(World Wide Web). The major contribution of this paper is that the system provides a 3D collaboration environment that enables multiple users to share the same workspace where they cooperatively manipulate part features in real time. PIBS carries out two major functions: one to maintain part data in a part library, and the other to provide the means for the clients to cooperate. An object-oriented database is used for the part library which stores apart information registered by part suppliers. VRML(Virtual Reality Modeling Language) the ISO standard for 3D visualization on WWW, is used to represent 3D part models. Several Java programs have been implemented to support synchronous and a synchronous communication of the 3D models. Once the users are interconnected through the system, a user's manipulation of part objects is transparently and instantaneously transmitted to the others. This means that all the participants can are the same view and movement of the 3D part models. Since the system is developed using a Java applet-server architecture, it requires no additional software other than standard web browser. The prototype system has been successfully implemented, and demonstrated its applicability to virtual 3D part information sharing.

A Single-phase Harmonics Extraction Algorithm Based on the Principle of Trigonometric Orthogonal Functions

  • For a single-phase active power filter (APF), designing a more efficient algorithm to guarantee accurate and fast harmonics extraction with a lower computing cost is still a meaningful topic. The common idea still employs a IRPT-based Park transform, which was originally designed for 3-phase applications. Therefore, an additional virtual signal generation (VSG) link is necessary when it is used in the single-phase condition. This method, with virtual signal generation and transform, is obviously not the most efficient one. Regarding this problem, this paper proposes a novel harmonics extraction algorithm to further improve efficiency. The new algorithm is based on the principle of trigonometric orthogonal functions (TOF), and its mathematical principle and physical meaning are introduced in detail. Its implementation and superiority in terms of computation efficiency are analyzed by comparing it with conventional methods. Finally, its effectiveness is well validated through detailed simulations and laboratory experiments.

ATM망에서 가상경로를 이용한 효율적인 호 수락 제어 (An effective call admission control using virtual path in ATM networks)

  • 본 논문에서는 ATM 망의 가상경로상에서 Common Pool을 이용한 효율적인 호 수락 제어에 관하여 논한다. 호 수락 제어는 새로운 호에 대하여 기존의 연결된 호와 새로 요청된 호의 서비스 품질을 만족시키는 범위내에서 연결 여부를 결정하는 것이다. 제안한 알고리즘은 새로운 호의 요청에 대하여 기존 호의 대역폭과 새로운 호의 대역폭 합이 전체 대역폭을 초과하지 않으면 호를 수락한다. 그러나 요구 대역폭이 전체 대역폭을 초과하는 경우 미리 예비된 대역폭 Common Pool을 이용하여 다시 호의 수락 여부를 결정한다. 한편 제안한 알고리즘을 위하여 간단한 네트웍 모델을 통한 컴퓨터 모의실험을 통하여 호의 블록킹 확률을 구하여 평가하였다.
