The authors performed this preliminary study to investigate the effect of softening E.C.T. and propofol was compared to pentothal for induction of anaesthesia for E.C.T. on seizure duration. The results were follows ; 1) E.C.T. was performed in 60 psychiatric inpatients who were admitted during the study period. Of them 51.7% were diagnosed as schizophrenia, 21.6% as major depressive disorder, 16.7% as bipolar I disorder, manic and 10% of others. 2) Mean number of E.C.T. was 12.2 times a patient. 3) The most common target symptoms were persecutory delusion in schizophrenia, psychomotor retardation or agitation in major depressive disorder, and violent aggressive behavior in bipolar I disorder, manic. 4) Pre-ECT medication usually used were atropine $0.0093mgkg^{-1}$, pentothal $2.76mgkg^{-1}$ or propofol $1.42mgkg^{-1}$. 5) The duration of seizure, as measured clinically, was reduced with propofol(20.5 sec) in comparison with pentothal (35.7 sec)(p<0.001). This suggests the possibility that additional treatments may be needed for the same clinical effect in psychiatric illness when propofol is used as the induction agent.

The purpose of this study is to present a concrete image of the ideal beauty as shown in era preceding 1945 that effects the shaping of our aesthetic values; by analyzing its characteristics through the covers of women's magazines of that period, this research aims to promote the understanding of beauty of the human body. The scope of my research extends throughout the collection of women's magazines stored in the National Library and the Korea Magazine Information Center. The gathered research materials are: 5 kinds of Shin-Yeo-Sung (신여성), 51 kinds Yeo-Sung(여성) and 30 kinds of Ga-Jung-Ji-Woo(가정지우). The result of the research could be summarized as the followings. Before the 1920's in response to the violent opening, there was a trend of sticking to the traditional standard. In the 1920's, the prevalent images of women were meek and fragile. Japanese standard of beauty was explicitly indicated. In the 1930s, as Western movies started to be shown to the general public, western features were idealized and furthermore intelligence was required as a further condition. In the 1940s, preparation of the war led to encouragement of images of motherhood and natural beauty, and resistant to this trend led to pseudoclassicism.

Conflict minerals refer to minerals mined in conditions of armed conflict, especially as in the eastern provinces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The common conflict minerals are cassiterite, wolframite, coltan(columbite-tantalite ore), and gold, which are mined and extracted from the Eastern Congo. These minerals are essentially used in the manufacture of a variety of devices, including consumer electronics. To end the violent conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and in surrounding countries, it is necessary to block the supply route of conflict minerals which has been partially financed by the exploitation and trade of conflict minerals. The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, passed into law in July 2010 and it contains requirements that U.S. companies report to the Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC) on the origin of conflict minerals and show due diligence of OECD. The goal of the act is to cut direct and indirect funding of armed groups engaged in conflict.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of equality of both sexes and self-esteem on perception of dating violence among university students and presents basic data for helping healthy adaption of university life. A survey was held to the university students in Chungcheong cities from April 28 to May 12, 2018. of 225 copies of the questionnaire distributed, a total of 200 copies were in the final analysis. For data analysis, SPSS 21.0 for Windows was used. As a result, there were correlations between variables, the Perception of dating violence of university students were affected by the Equality of both sexes and Self-esteem. and the largest effect was the Violent experience. In conclusion, it is need to development program and counseling with considering healthy intimate relationship and right gender-role for improving adaption of university life.

A study on the color changes of fish meat during drying was conducted using fishes with different lipid contents, such as Alaska pollack as lean fish, conger eel as white fleshed fatty fish, and sardine as dark fleshed fatty fish. The fish meat was dried in a forced air dryer for 20 hours at 40, 55 and $70^{\circ}C$, The air velocity was 0.4 m/sec and the relative humidity of air was controlled to a constant value in the range of 10 to $50\%$. The color changes were evaluated with the brown color densities developed by lipid oxidation and Maillard reaction. The predominant reaction for the brown color developed during drying was lipid oxidation, The more the lipid content of fish and the higher the drying temperature were, the more violent the oxidative reaction of Lipid was. The rate of lipid oxidation during drying at 40 and $55^{\circ}C$ was affected by the relative humidity of air and was the slowest around $30\%$. But no remarkable influence of relative humidity on the rate of lipid oxidation could be confirmed during drying at $70^{\circ}C$. It seemed that the rate of lipid oxidation at higher temperature was more sensitive to the temperature than the relative humidity of air. Maillard reaction showed not so significant influence on the color changes of fish meat during drying. The rate of reaction was increased with increasing relative humidity of air in the range of 10 to $50\%$.

Recently, the Supracondyle fracture of the femur is so severe and comminuted that it is difficult to treat open reduction and rigid fixation sufficiently due to violent traffic accident and external forces. The associated injuries are accompanied variously. So complications of the supracondyle fractures including joint stiffness, delayed union, infection are serious. However development of internal implant and operation skill result in relatively satisfactory function than conservative management. The authors reviewed 20 cases of the supracondyle fracture of the femur treated at Yeungnam University Hospital from 1989, Dec. To 1992, Jan. The results were as follows : 1. The male was common(70%). The 2nd-4th decade was most(87%). 2. The most common cause of injuries was traffic accident. The rate of open fracture was 35%, most of it was traffic accident. 3. According to the ASIF group classification. 4 cases were type A, 4 in type B, 12 in type C (10 in type $C_2$&$C_3$). 4. Accompanied injuries included multiple fractures in 9 cases and femoral artery injury in 1 case. 5. Among the 20 cases, conservative treatment was done in 5 cases and operative treatment was done in 15 cases. 6. Functional results (by Schatzker criteria) were as follows. The satisfactory results were achieved in 40% of cases in conservative treatment and 67% in operative treatment. 7. The average time of partial weight bearing was 15 weeks. 8. Complications were knee stiffness in 6 cases and 4 in delayed union.

The purpose of this study is to analyze trilogy by means of semiotics. trilogy constructs a story as a whole while each piece delivers a concluded ending. This study used 'modele actantiel' and 'carre semiotique' of Greimas in order to clarify not only the meaning structure but also the course of narrative of . is a compelling story which reverses the fairy tale of a beautiful princess and a heroic prince. Each piece of the trilogy unfolds as following; (1)ls the love of a princess and an ogre possible? (2)Can the marriage of the couple get confirmed? (3)Can Shrek be free again? The repeated meaning structure of trilogy is the binary opposition of nature versus culture, and the narrative course forms the meaning square on the basis of the opposition. Human culture represented by the lord Farquaad and Duloc castle signifies cleanness, order, complex, anxiety, paranoia, authoritarian, and violent. On the contrary, Nature represented by Shrek and the swamp signifies barbarity, freedom, confident, maturity, unstrained, and humar. The meaning of Shrek series is generated by the structure of the basic discrimination of culture versus nature. However, as story twists the bias and fixed idea, the meaning structure of Shrek shows a unique relationship of culture and nature. Although Shrek, an ogre, lives alone in a swamp because of the bias of human world, he is depicted as self-sufficient, comfort, and broad-minded. On the basis of this meaning structure, Shrek is not a story that an ogre(nature) strives to enter the human culture, nor a story that nature wins a victory at the confrontation between culture and nature, but a story that human(culture) and ogre(nature) overcome their fixed ideas through the transition from culture to nature and vice versa.

The Gyeongsang Arc is the most notable of the Korea Arc that is composed of several volcanic arcs trending to NE-SW direction in the Korean peninsula. The Hayang Group has many volcanogenic interbeds of lava flows by alkaline or calc-alkaline basaltic volcanisms during early Cretaceous. Late Cretaceous calc-alkaline andesitic and rhyolitic volcanisms reconstructed the Gyeongsang Arc that consist of thick volcanic strata on the Hayang Group in The Gyeongsang Basin. The volcanisms characterize first eruptions of basaltic and andesitic lavas with small pyroclastics, and continue later eruptions of dacitic and rhyolitic ash-fall and voluminous ash-flow with some calderas and then domes and dykes. During the Early Cretaceous (about 120 Ma), oblique subduction of the Izanagi plate to NNW from N direction results in sinistral strike-slip faults to open a pull-apart basin in back-arc area of the Gyeongsang Arc, in which erupted lava flows from generation of magma by a decrease in lithostatic pressure. Therefore the Gyeongsang Basin is interpreted into back-arc basin reconstructed by a continental rifting. Arc volcanism began in about 100 Ma with exaggeration of the back-arc basin in the Gyeongsang, and then changed violently to construct volcanic arcs. During the Late Cretaceous (about 90 Ma), orthogonal subduction of the Izanagi plate to NW from NNW direction ceased development of the basin to prolong violent volcanisms.

With today's heightened interest in quality of life, leisure and sports activities were popular in the general public. Accordingly, the incidence of oral and maxillofacial injury are also rising. Use of a mouth protector to prevent the trauma of the oral and maxillofacial region is growing in importance, and among the mouth protector the mouthguard is the most commonly used. Mouthguard has been suggested to protect injuries by (1) preventing tooth injuries by absorbing and deflecting blows to the teeth; (2) shielding the lips, tongue, and gingival tissues from laceration; (3) preventing opposing teeth from coming into violent contact; (4) providing the mandible with resilient support, which absorbs an impact that might fracture the unsupported angle or condyle of the mandible; (5) preventing neck and cerebral brain injuries. Although mouthguard is effective for prevention of oral and maxillofacial injury, it is not widespread to athletes or general public and they are lack of awareness about the importance of mouthguard. We present the types and materials of mouthguard, things to consider when mouthguard fabrication, and the usage. This should be helpful in awareness about the importance and popularization of mouthguard.

Installation of digital tachograph, black box, and ADAS have been enforced to commercial vehicles for preventing violent driving and accidents by the Traffic Safety Act in Korea. Nevertheless, the damage caused by road hazards has increased 1.5 times in 2016 compared to 2013. So, developing new technologies that can identify road hazard using the sensors installed in commercial vehicles are conducting by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. As a part of the technologies, this research analyze the error range of GPS installed in commercial vehicles that vary according to the driving speed. As a result, the average error was 9.72m at the driving speed of 100km/h, and the error was 2.1 times larger than the average error of 4.69m at the driving speed of 40km/h. The event point proper integration/separation range(m) was analyzed to be 20m with a recognition rate of 90% or more at the same point regardless of driving speed. The results of this research can be used as basic data for improving the accuracy of location-based data would be collected using commercial vehicles.
