가시광촉매가 처리된 자동차 내장재의 VOC 분석방법에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Volatile Organic Compounds Analysis Method for Visible Light-Responsive Photocatalyst Treated Vehicle Interior Materials)

  • 가시광촉매가 처리된 자동차내장재의 VOC 분석방법에 있어서 샘플백에 충진하는 질소 대신 공기를 충진하여 시험하였다. 그 결과 자동차내장재의 VOC 분석시 질소를 충진한 샘플백은 VOCs 및 폼알데히드의 저감효과가 나타나지 않았다. 그러나 질소대신 공기를 충진한 샘플백에서는 VOCs 및 폼알데히드가 현저하게 감소하였으며 자동차 내장재의 VOCs 분석시 샘플백에 질소 대신 공기를 충진하여야 가시광촉매에 의한 효과를 발휘할 수 있다는 것을 확인하였다.

  • 가시광촉매를 이용하여 자동차 내장재에서 발생하는 VOCs의 저감 효과를 알아보았다. 가시광촉매는 sol-gel법으로 제조하였으며 UV-vis peak가 420 nm에서 적색이동 되어 가시광영역에서 감응하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 특성을 갖는 가시광촉매를 자동차 내장재에 코팅처리하고, 자동차 내장재에서 발생하는 VOCs를 측정한 결과 분해 저감율이 우수하게 나타났다.

  • Interior parts of a vehicle are getting important to reduce interior noise. Therefore, prior analysis of cabin noise related with interior parts are necessary at first design stage. Recently, Statistical Energy Analysis(SEA) has been suggested as a possible way for high frequency range noise analysis of interior parts. The validity of noise analysis with SEA to interior parts has been preyed by comparing with experimental result, and the developed method with SEA has been applied in finding optimized interior parts package.

  • 가시광촉매의 특성 및 가시광촉매가 코팅처리된 자동차내장재 nylon/polyester 복합섬유에 대한 VOCs의 저감에 대해 알아보았다. 가시광촉매 Weltouch의 결정구조는 아나타제상과 루타일상이 복합된 것으로 약 420nm이상의 파장을 갖는 빛에너지에서도 활성을 나타냈다. 또한 가시광촉매가 처리된 자동차내장재 nylon/polyester 복합 섬유에서 발생하는 VOCs 및 포름알데히드는 현저한 저감효과를 나타냈으며, 섬유를 25회 세탁을 행하여도 가시광촉매의 탈락없이 표면에 견고하게 부착되어 가스분해성능을 유지하는 것으로 나타나서 세탁내구성이 우수한 것을 확인하였다.

  • The brand sound of vehicle diesel engine is recently one of the important advantage strategies in the automotive company. Because various noise components masked under high frequency level can be audible in quieter driving situation. Many researches have been carried out for subjective and objective assessments on vehicle sounds and noises. In particular, the interior sound quality has been one of research fields that can give high quality feature to vehicle products. Vehicle interior noise above 500 Hz is usually controlled by sound package parts. The materials and geometries of sound package parts directly affect on this high frequency noise. This paper describes the sound quality evaluation method for the vehicle diesel engine noise to establish objective criteria for sound quality assessment. Considering the sensitivity of human hearing to impulsive sounds such as diesel noise, the human auditory mechanism was simulated by introducing temporal masking in the time domain. Furthermore, each of the human auditory organs was simulated by computer codes, providing reasonable analytical explanations of typical human hearing responses to diesel noise. This method finally provides the sound quality index of vehicle diesel engine noise that includes high frequency intermittent offensive sounds caused by impacting excitations of combustion and piston slap.

  • 최근, 철도차량 분야에서는 경량화 및 운송 효율화를 위해 복합재 활용에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 이에 따라 다양한 차량 부품에 복합재를 적용하고자 하는 연구 및 상용화 개발이 활발히 이루어지고 있으며, 복합재 적용에 대한 품질 검증을 위해 완성품의 기계적 성능 평가와 같은 사후 측정을 중심으로 평가가 이루어지고 있다. 하지만, 제작 품질에 큰 영향을 미치는 요소인 복합재 성형 과정에서 발생하는 열과 응력에 대한 분석은 미비한 상황이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 철도차량용 복합재 부품의 성형 품질을 검증하기 위하여 가장 활발히 사용되는 복합재 내장재 패널 2종(라미네이트 패널, 샌드위치 패널)에 대한 성형 품질 분석을 진행하였다. 이를 위해 복합재 내부 적용에 용이한 FBG 광섬유 센서를 이용하여 성형 과정 동안 온도 및 변형률 변화를 모니터링 하고, 성형 완료 후 발생하는 잔류 변형률 값을 측정하였다. 결과적으로, 과열 현상과 과도 잔류응력이 발생하지 않은 것을 확인함으로써 철도차량용 복합재 내장재 패널의 우수한 성형 품질을 검증하였다.

제진재 경량화를 위한 설계 프로세스 연구 (Study on the Design Process to minimize the Weight of the Damping Material)

  • Sound packages and damping materials have been widely applied on the floor to decrease the interior noise of a vehicle. Based on the previous researches on the low-noise vehicles, weight optimization through minimization of damping material usage is required while decreasing mid and high frequency range noise by application of sound packages. This paper describes the analysis process of robust design of vehicle body structure before applying damping materials and focuses on the analysis and test process of the location optimization at the stage of damping material application. A vibration experiment for the analysis of floor panel velocity with respect to the excitation of suspension attachment parts at the underfloor of a vehicle is performed. And through the improvement correlation between FEA and TEST, a design guide to optimize damping materials application in the early design stage is proposed. A research on vibration damping steel sheets and liquid acoustic spray on deadener(LASD) is performed to minimize manufacturing time and to minimize the space for pre-existing asphalt damping materials. As results of this study, panel stiffness is achieved through curved surface panel and bead optimization. And test baseline of optimum design is suggested through damping material optimization. And finally, through re-establishing the analysis process for vibration reduction of vehicle floors and lightweight design of damping materials, it is possible to design damping materials efficiently in the preceding stage of design.

  • This study is about a hybrid lightweight cowl crossbeam structure with high rigidity and ability to absorb collision energy to support the cockpit module, which is an automobile interior part, and to absorb energy during a collision. It is a manufacturing process in which composite material bracket parts are inserted and injected into existing steel bars. When considering the mounting condition of a vehicle, the optimization of the fastening condition of the two parts and the mechanical properties of the composite material is acting as an important factor. Therefore, this study is about a composite material having a volume content of Polyamide(PA) and Glass Fiber used as a composite material for a composite material-metal hybrid cowl crossbeam. As a result of analyzing the physical properties of the PA/GF composite material, experimental data were obtained that can further enhance tensile strength and flexural strength by using PA66 rather than PA6 used as a base material for the composite material. And based on this, it contributed to securing the advantage of lightening by using high-stiffness composite material by improving the high disadvantage of the weight of the cowl crossbeam material, which was made only of existing metal materials.

Fast fabrication of amphibious bus with low rollover risk: Toward well-structured bus-boat using truck chassis

  • This study investigates the structural integrity of the amphibious tour bus under the rollover condition. The multi-purpose bus called Dual Mode Tour Bus (DMTB) which explores on land and water has been designed on top of a truck platform. Prior to the fabrication of new upper body and sailing equipment of DMTB, computational analysis investigates the rollover protection of the proposed structure including superstructure, wheels, and axles. The Computer-Aided Design (CAD) of the whole vehicle model is meshed and preprocessed under high performance using the Altair HyperMesh to attain the best mesh model suited for finite element analysis (FEA) on the proposed system. Meanwhile, the numerical model is analyzed by employing LS-DYNA to evaluate the superstructure strength. The numerical model includes detail information about the microstructure and considers wheels and axles as rigid bodies but excludes window glasses, seats, and interior parts. Based on the simulation analysis and proper modifications especially on the rear portion of the bus, the local stiffness significantly increased. The vehicle is rotated to the contact point on the ground based on the mathematical method presented in this study to save computational cost. The results show that the proposed method of rollover analysis is highly significant not only in bus rollover tests but in crashworthiness studies for other application. The critical impartments in our suggested dual-purpose bus accepted and passed "Economic Commission for Europe (ECE) R66".
