Customer satisfaction level is usually measured in terms of price, quality, customization, after-sale-service, product variety etc. Each finn sets up a distinctive production/marketing strategy to gain competitive advantage by prioritizing the customer satisfaction measures. The market differentiation strategy directly results in supply chain performance such as lead time, inventory, customer fill rate and market share. Product proliferation desirable in customization sense often conflicts the economies of scale effect in production side. This paper focuses the relationship between product variety and market share. Specifically, we investigate how introduction of new product affects the current market share, i.e.,) formation of customer preference and provide some insight into the optimal range of product variety.

Subjects were two teachers each with higher or with lower play teaching efficacy, and the 111 four and five-year-old children they taught. Using naturalistic observation, children's constructive play was videotaped and transcribed for 60 minutes on ten consecutive days in each classroom. Play was analyzed by level of constructive play, continuous length of play, variety of materials, enrichment of activities, and coherence of content. Constructive play of children whose teachers had higher efficacy in teaching play showed longer continuous play, used a higher variety of materials, and their play had more creative integrity. Five-year-olds exhibited longer continuous play, used a larger variety of play materials, more enrichment of play activity, and more coherence in play contents than four-year-olds.

In this paper, we characterize SL(2, $\mathbb{C}$)-representations of an n-periodic link $\tilde{L}$ in terms of SL(2, $\mathbb{C}$)-representations of its quotient link L and express the SL(2, $\mathbb{C}$)-representation variety R($\tilde{L}$) of $\tilde{L}$ as the union of n affine algebraic subsets which have the same dimension. Also, we show that the dimension of R($\tilde{L}$) is bounded by the dimensions of affine algebraic subsets of the SL(2, $\mathbb{C}$)-representation variety R(L) of its quotient link L.

In landscape simulatin, it is necessary to express very realistic image generated by computer graphics. One solution is to use texture mapping; however, it needs a lot of work and time to obtain images for texture mapping since there are huge variety of images for buildings, roads, stations and so on, and the landscape image is diverse due to the weather and time. Especially, weathered images such as stain on walls, crack on roads and so forth, are needed to make the landscape image very realistic. These weathered images do not have to be strict so that it saves a lot of work and time for obtaining the images for texture mapping if we can generate a variety of weathered images automatically. Therefore, this paper describes how to generate a variety of weathered images automatically by changing the weathered shape of the original image.

The subject of the paper is for the study about the implication and the changes of design and functions in the underwear by the change of the times from late 19c until present time. Researching on documents and magazine's articles, and interviewing with women older than 60s is used for the period of previous 1960s. researching on documents, advertising, newspaper, and interviewing with the persons concerned is used for the period of after 1960s. Analysis showed periodical change in underwear is divided into that the changes of the time is divided into 1890-1950 start to Westernization in underwear, 1957-1969 Ready made in underwear. 1950-1969 Variety in underwear, 1980-1989 Fashioning, functioning in underwear, 1990-present Withdrawing from fundamental notion in underwear. The time of 1890-l950 showed the biggest change in an external form in underwear. In 1950-1969, notions of beauty in underwear ultimately swatch from Oriental sense to Western sense, In 70s, underwear achieved the early stage of fashioning. In 80s, Underwear became one of fashion item. In 90s, underwear achieved higher quality and variety. The basic notion of underwear was destroyed by exposing underwear.

Synthesis of catecholamine from aniline is achieved by plasma enhanced CVD process. Catecholamine has a variety of functions in body such as brain and bloodstream controls. Catecholamine also has an interesting property of a material independent ability of functionalizing surface, which is found at mussels' adhesive nature. Synthesis of catecholamine has only been available from DOPA by chemical reduction and oxidation. This study presents the direct synthesis of catecholamine from further elemental source, aniline, which has not been achieved by a conventional chemical method. The process also indicates that a variety of catecholamine can be formed by controlling reactant gases. In additional to PECVD's very useful properties such as conformal, ultrathin and uniform coatings, a direct synthesis from aniline and a capability of controlling formation of a variety catecholamine is believed to open up a numerous applications.

In the present paper, a new variety of Cordyceps gunnii (Berk.) Berk. is reported. It differs from C. gunnii by its much smaller secondary ascospores, (2.0-) 3.3 $(-4.3){\times}1.0{\sim}1.8\;{\mu}m$, as well as thinner asci and cap of the asci. Its anamorph is also reported as a new variety of Paecilomyces gunnii Liang, the ansmorph of C. gunnii. Its differ from P. gunnii by its conidia, mostly subglobose and much bigger, (2.2-) 4.7 $(-11.0){\times}(1.8-)\;2.6\;(-3.3)\;{\mu}m$. The type specimen and dry type culture are deposited at Research Center for Entomogenous Fungi, Anhui Agriculture University, China.

To classify the inheritance of resistance to potato virus Y, crosses between susceptible flue-cured tobacco variety NC 95 and resistant variety McNair 30 were conducted. The parents, $F_1$ plants, $F_2$ populations, and haploid plants derived from anthers of $F_1$ plants were screened for a resistance of two potato virus Y strains (PVY-VB and PVY-VN) isolated in Korea. The Chi-square values for the $F_3$ populations and haploids of $F_1$ fitted 1 :3 and 1 :1 ratios of resistant to susceptible for two strains, respectively. Therefore, it was found that the resistance of McNair 30 for the potato virus Y was controlled by a single recessive gene. Moreover the resistance to two strains screened was inherited dependently.

Varietal difference in the occurrence of grey leaves in upland diverted from paddy field were investigated with several flue-cured tobacco varieties in Korea. Grey leaves caused by Fe, Mn and Cl toxicity were occurred in all varieties used in this experiment. The variety, NC82 and KF113, however, were more sensitive than other varieties to the toxicity. It's revealed that grey leaves had little effects on the contents of total sugar, nicotine and total nitrogen. NC82 and KF113 were increased in the ratio of occurrences in the paddy soils which had a tendency to concrete with the passage of days after transplanting. NC82 showed high occurrences of grey leaves in each of variety used and it was estimated that this variety had a traits of easy occurrences of grey leaves, and it might be presumed that there would be a close connection between the ratio of occurrence and amounts of absorbed causal materials accumulated in plants and tobacco varieties on the occurrence of grey leaf tobacco.
