  • In this study, we investigated how to achieve differentiation for the ISM (Internet Shopping Mall) to improve profitability, which is required for survival in the fiercely competitive ISM industry. We analyzed implementation level key managerial factors that could contribute to the differentiation of the ISM. The research model is constructed through integration of two distinctive research streams of e-commerce. The one is B2C differentiation strategy research, most of which are conceptual and conducted at a strategy level, and the other is empirical research analyzing the antecedents of customer satisfaction at the ISM. This study is organized as follows. First, we draw upon transaction cost theory to organize constructs representing customer value associated with the customer buying decision process. Next, after reviewing comprehensive managerial factors that could impact on customer value, we selected 15 managerial factors that could contribute to the differentiation of the ISM to deliver value to customers. Finally, the resulting structural model is validated through empirical analyses. The results provide insights for future studies on ISM differentiation.

  • This paper analyzed the functional global entry process of firms by real business cases. We reviewed the global firm Zara and Uniqlo's functional global entry process by Malnight (1995) four-step model which is composed of appendage, participation, contribution, integration stages. We found that both Zara and Uniqlo made successful internationalization using integrated global value chain. However, Zara maintained the home-initiated internationalization strategy on whole value chain, Uniqlo operated subsidiary-initiated functional strategy in specific value chain activities. This study suggests that internationalization occurs at the level of the function, rather than the firm. In addition, this study suggests practical implication to Korean fashion firms that global firms should maintain the functional global entry strategy basing on firm's internationalization steps.

  • As the postsecondary school-age population continues to decline, the competition among universities to attract potential students has intensified. As an alternative, we propose to introduce a collaborative marketing strategy to universities to gain the attention of precollege students and parents. This study examines perceived fit, the prestige of university and fashion brands, consumption values, and the category of fashion brands in the context of collaboration between university identity and fashion brands. Utilizing an online survey, we collected 391 responses. The results indicate that perceived fit between universities and fashion brands has a significant impact on the purchase intention of collaborative university merchandise. In addition, the prestige of fashion brands plays a key role, while the prestige of universities has no direct effect on purchase intention. However, the indirect effect of university prestige on purchase intention mediated by perceived fit is significant. Also, this study confirms that social value and emotional value have significant impacts on purchase intention. These findings present a guideline for selecting a collaborative partner, which is the most important task in a collaboration strategy. Finally, merchandising strategies reflected consumption values based on precollege students and their parents' needs are proposed.

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to evaluate the economic effects of FTAs using the concept of value-added exports. So far, the economic effects of FTAs have been dependent on decrease in import prices due to tariff cuts in importing countries, but the actual tariff reduction need to consider the value added of the exporting countries. Design/methodology - Value-added export refers to the added value created in the exporting country out of total exports. Among value-added exports, direct value-added export is interpreted as the Regional Value Contents (RVC), from which the economic effect of the FTA can be analyzed. A modified GTAP-VA model takes into account RVC in order to estimate accurate effects of FTAs. Findings - By the re-evaluation of the FTA based on the RVC, this paper makes it clear that the economic effects of the existing FTA methodology have the possibility of overestimation. In addition, as a new FTA with a strengthened Rules of Origin (ROO) is being initiated, a negative impact on international trade and GVC utilization may occur. Originality/value - This study introduces the concept of value-added export in analyzing the effects of FTAs. The new analysis methodology of this paper emphasizes the importance of value-added exports. Re-organization of GVCs would change regional trade agreements and empower ROO by weakening existing GVCs and transforming the value chain from global into regional scope.

  • The expectation and confirmation emerging as one of problem-solving strategies in the elementary school is a strategy that does not limited in the elementary school but used in the middle and high school. This strategy inevitably requires a process of adjustment that affected by the earlier expectation. Such an adjustment raised expectation and confirmation to one of effective problem-solving strategies. The adjustment is especially important to carry out the strategy effectively. The aim of this study was to conduct basic research on cognitive characteristics appearing to students when they carried out the expectation and confirmation strategy. We investigated and analyzed this in term of adjustment of expectation. To do this, we examined 50 5th graders' response in three kinds of word problems and interviewed with 4 participants who is using the expectation and confirmation strategy. The interview was conducted by using the items or solutions used in the test. From this, we tried to check students' cognitive characteristics and recognition on it's value. Furthermore we proposed the pedagogical implications associated with these results.

  • Nowadays, crowdfunding presents a promising development. This research focuses on the influence of platform strategy and market response on the success of crowdfunding from the perspective of the elaboration likelihood model (ELM) theory. Detailed product specifications, crowdfunding difficulty coefficient, vivid advertising video such as introduction and music, and recommendations from relevant figures are all used to depict platform strategy. Meanwhile, we use the number of lovers, followers, comments and 1 RMB backers to measure the level of market response. And thus, we model the impact of platform strategy and market response on crowdfunding success with empirical studies based on 400 samples of observed value. We found firstly that there exist significant positive relations between the total amount of funds pledged and detailed product specification, vivid advertising video, recommendations from relevant figures and the number of 1 RMB backers. Secondly, the crowdfunding difficulty of projects affects negatively, and significantly, the total amount of funds pledged. Thirdly, the influence of the number of lovers and followers on funds pledged is not significant.

  • In a fuzzy connectionist expert system(FCES), the knowledge base can be constructed of neural logic networks to represent fuzzy rules and their relationship, We call it fuzzy rule inference network. To find out the belief value of a conclusion, the traditional inference strategy in a FCES will back-propagate from a rule term of the conclusion and follow through the entire network sequentially This sequential search strategy is very inefficient. In this paper, to improve the above search strategy, we proposed fuzzy rule inference rule used in a FCES was modified. The proposed adaptive search strategy in fuzzy rule inference network searches the network according to the search priorities.

  • This paper proposes the Pyramid strategy which is based on the straddle sell. The Pyamid strategy has multi-entry features with starting date and delta parameters. And It is hedged against a loss by mutual trades and dynamic ripples. This paper analyzes the profit and MDD(maximum draw down) of the Pyramid strategy on system trading. The portfolio tool is used for the experiment which is one of the Multicharts' package. The Multicharts is a good trading system of recent years. For the experiment, three call options and three put options are used at october in 2009. Two parameters are used which are the starting date from first October to twentieth October in 2009 and delta from eight percent to fifty percent. As a result, the profit of composite option is about 3 million won. If the strategy starts before the beginning of option month, investors feel uncomfortable because of a large MDD. If a delta belows 20%, it shows high profit and the ratio of profit and MDD builds up a low value. However a low delta makes frequent trades and results in a loss unless increasing entry levels which mean more amount of investment. This work provides a safer trade system than native option trades. It is important how much levels of multi-entry are acceptable. And an amount of investment with appropriate levels of multi-entry is a subject of a future study.

And a green mark6ting mix for EFAP is as follows; Erst, a product strategy focuses on producing safe and high-quality foods by environment-friendly agriculture(EFA) to point to consumer’s health and desire for environmental preservation. Second, in a price strategy, the balance of three factors should be kept, namely the environmental value the true quality as food materials and the price of EFAP. Third, a place strategy is to reduce waste matters, resource and energy uses in marketing chain, and to simplify marketing channels. Also, it is necessary to choose the marketing channel for price discrimination. Fourth, a promotion strategy make use of programs that emphasize the multi-function of EFA.
