Molecular Cloning and Expression of Fusion Proteins Containing Human Cytochrome P450 3As and Rat NADPH-P450 Reductase in Escherichia coli

  • Cytochrome P450 3As such as 3A4 and 3A5 metabolize a wide range of pharmaceutical compounds. The vectors for the expression of fusion protein containing an N-terminal human P450 3A4 or P450 3A5 sequences and a C-terminal rat NADPH-cytochrome P450 reductase moiety were constructed. These plasmids were used to express the fusion protein in Escherichia coli DH5$\alpha$ cells. High levels of expression were achieved (100~200 nmol/liter) and the expressed fusion protein in E. coli membranes were catalytically active for nifedipine oxidation, a typical enzymatic activity of P450 3A4. The NADPH-P450 reductase activities of these fusion protein were also determined by measuring reduction of cytochrome c. To fine a specific Inhibitor of P450 3A4 from naturally occurring chemicals, a series of isothiocyanate compounds were evaluated for the inhibitory activity of P450 using the fusion proteins in E. coli membranes. Of the five isothiocyanates (phenethyl isothiocyanate, phenyl isothiocyanate, benzol isothiocyanate, benzoyl isothiocyanate and cyclohexyl isothiocyanate) tested, benzoyl isothiocyanate showed a strong inhibition of P450 3A4 with an $IC_{50}$value of 2.8 $\mu\textrm{M}$. Our results indicate that the self-sufficient fusion protein will be very useful tool to study the drug metabolism and benzyl isothiocyanate may be valuable for characterizing the enzymatic properties of P450 3A4.

Multiscale self-coordination of bidimensional empirical mode decomposition in image fusion

  • The bidimensional empirical mode decomposition (BEMD) algorithm with high adaptability is more suitable to process multiple image fusion than traditional image fusion. However, the advantages of this algorithm are limited by the end effects problem, multiscale integration problem and number difference of intrinsic mode functions in multiple images decomposition. This study proposes the multiscale self-coordination BEMD algorithm to solve this problem. This algorithm outside extending the feather information with the support vector machine which has a high degree of generalization, then it also overcomes the BEMD end effects problem with conventional mirror extension methods of data processing,. The coordination of the extreme value point of the source image helps solve the problem of multiscale information fusion. Results show that the proposed method is better than the wavelet and NSCT method in retaining the characteristics of the source image information and the details of the mutation information inherited from the source image and in significantly improving the signal-to-noise ratio.

DEM 융합 기법을 이용한 다중영상스테레오 방법 (Multi-Image Stereo Method Using DEM Fusion Technique)

  • The ability to efficiently and robustly recover accurate 3D terrain models from sets of stereoscopic images is important to many civilian and military applications. A stereo matching has been an important tool for reconstructing three dimensional terrain. However, there exist many factors causing stereo matching error, such as occlusion, no feature or repetitive pattern in the correlation window, intensity variation, etc. Among them, occlusion can be only resolved by true multi-image stereo. In this paper, we present multi-image stereo method using DEM fusion as one of efficient and reliable true multi-image methods. Elevations generated by all pairs of images are combined by the fusion process which accepts an accurate elevation and rejects an outlier. We propose three fusion schemes: THD(Thresholding), BPS(Best Pair Selection) and MS(Median Selection). THD averages elevations after rejecting outliers by thresholding, while BPS selects the most reliable elevation. To determine the reliability of a elevation or detect the outlier, we employ the measure of self-consistency. The last scheme, MS, selects the median value of elevations. We test the effectiveness of the proposed methods with a quantitative analysis using simulated images. Experimental results indicate that all three fusion schemes showed much better improvement over the conventional binocular stereo in natural terrain of 29 Palms and urban site of Avenches.

  • 본 논문의 주요 목적은 공항기관을 위하여 경쟁우위 확보와 탁월한 공항 달성을 위한 융합경영시스템 모델개발이다. 융합경영시스템 모델개발은 창의성경영과 경영품질의 시스템을 융합하여 개발하였다. 융합경영시스템 구조는 첫째, 토대부분은 최고경영자의 철학과 의도, 대학과 같은 기업, 핵심가치를 기반으로 한 창조적 기업문화로 구성하였다. 둘째, 본체부분의 프로세스는 6시그마, 시스템은 ISO9001을 적용하였다. 셋째, 상위부분의 전략 및 평가는 미국의 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Model을 적용하였다. 또한, 시스템 연결은 창조경영, 융합과 커버전스, 신뢰 및 시너지효과 선으로 연결하였다. 마지막으로 융합경영시스템은 공항기관을 위하여 실현하기 위한 실용적 관점에서 연구 및 개발하였다.

PET-CT 융합 영상에서 치과보철물의 금속 종류에 따른 표준섭취계수 값의 변화 (Changes in the Standardized Uptake Value According to the Type of Metal of Dental Prosthesis in PET-CT Fusion Image)

  • 본 연구는 PET-CT 검사를 시행할 때 치과보철물에 의해 발생되는 CT의 HU(Hounsfield Unit) 값을 금속의 종류에 따라 측정하고, PET 영상의 왜곡정도와 표준섭취계수(SUV)의 변화를 확인하여 영상 판독 시 오류의 감소방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 실험방법은 실제 치아와 메탈 크라운, 골드크라운, 티타늄, 지르코니아의 치과보철물을 이용하여 PET-CT 검사를 실시하였다. 일반 치아와 비교한 결과 HU 값이 증가함에 따라 SUV 값이 증가되는 것을 확인하였고, 메탈 크라운, 티타늄, 지르코니아의 SUV 값은 37% 정도 증가되었고, 골드 크라운에서는 45.4%로 가장 많이 증가했다. 그리고 일반치아, 메탈크라운, 티타늄, 지르코니아에서 영상 왜곡은 미미했지만, 골드 크라운에서는 선속경화현상이 심하게 발생하였고, 영상 왜곡이 나타났다. 따라서 치과보철물의 금속종류는 SUV 값에 영향을 미치기 때문에 치과 보철물 중에서 골드 재질을 사용한 환자를 진단할 때에는 영상 판독 시 보정된 PET 영상보다는 NAC(무보정) PET 영상을 확인한다면 판독에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

동적환경에서 퍼지추론을 이용한 이동로봇의 다중센서기반의 자율주행 (Multisensor-Based Navigation of a Mobile Robot Using a Fuzzy Inference in Dynamic Environments)

  • In this paper, we propose a multisensor-based navigation algorithm for a mobile robot, which is intelligently searching the goal location in unknown dynamic environments using multi-ultrasonic sensor. Instead of using “sensor fusion” method which generates the trajectory of a robot based upon the environment model and sensory data, “command fusion” method by fuzzy inference is used to govern the robot motions. The major factors for robot navigation are represented as a cost function. Using the data of the robot states and the environment, the weight value of each factor using fuzzy inference is determined for an optimal trajectory in dynamic environments. For the evaluation of the proposed algorithm, we performed simulations in PC as well as experiments with IRL-2002. The results show that the proposed algorithm is apt to identify obstacles in unknown environments to guide the robot to the goal location safely.

  • In this paper, we proposed the Bi-Modal Sensor Fusion Algorithm which is the emotional recognition method that be able to classify 4 emotions (Happy, Sad, Angry, Surprise) by using facial image and speech signal together. We extract the feature vectors from speech signal using acoustic feature without language feature and classify emotional pattern using Neural-Network. We also make the feature selection of mouth, eyes and eyebrows from facial image. and extracted feature vectors that apply to Principal Component Analysis(PCA) remakes low dimension feature vector. So we proposed method to fused into result value of emotion recognition by using facial image and speech.

가축 U-Healthcare 도입방안 연구 (A Study on the Introduction of Livestock U-healthcare)

  • In Korea, livestock has grown into the most value-added business in the agricultural and forest industry. But due to the recent outbreak of deadly infectious diseases such as foot-and-mount disease and avian influenza (AI), the demand for IT-enabled cutting-edge management system is getting stronger. As for humans, pilot projects and researches concerning U-healthcare have been carried out since early 2000. So this study explored the current progress of U-healthcare introduction, and suggested the strategies to develop technologies of collecting, processing, and utilizing information; to apply elements for a service model development and prioritization; to provide policy and institutional support. Therefore it is expected to vitalize the livestock U-healthcare in the future through continuous study based on these results.

PATN: Polarized Attention based Transformer Network for Multi-focus image fusion

  • In this paper, we propose a framework for multi-focus image fusion called PATN. In our approach, by aggregating deep features extracted based on the U-type Transformer mechanism and shallow features extracted using the PSA module, we make PATN feed both long-range image texture information and focus on local detail information of the image. Meanwhile, the edge-preserving information value of the fused image is enhanced using a dense residual block containing the Sobel gradient operator, and three loss functions are introduced to retain more source image texture information. PATN is compared with 17 more advanced MFIF methods on three datasets to verify the effectiveness and robustness of PATN.

  • Recently, research has been actively conducted to overcome the limitations of high-priced single sensors and reduce costs through the convergence of low-cost multi-variable sensors. This paper estimates state variables through asynchronous Kalman filters constructed using CVXPY and uses Cvxpylayers to compare and learn state variables estimated from CVXPY with true value data to estimate filter parameters of low-cost sensors fusion.
