다국적기업의 R&D 자회사 전략 : 기술기업 연구개발 특허성과를 중심으로 (MNCs R&D Subsidiary Strategy : Focusing on Technology Firm Patent Performance)

  • This study aims to analyze which subsidiary configuration strategy is more effective under uncertainty especially technology base multinational corporations (henceforth MNCs). In previous studies real option theory scholars argue that high breadth subsidiary configuration is most effective strategy because that provides flexibility to MNCs global network. In this study I want unveil more various types of uncertainty such as technology and learning uncertainty which are more important for technology base firm and further more examine the effect of MNCs subsidiary configuration on firm R&D performance each uncertainty case. Empirical study is performed by negative binominal model based on Japanese 108 multinational corporations. The result shows that under technology uncertainty, high breadth subsidiary configuration is better for firm R&D performance but under learning uncertainty high depth subsidiary configuration is better. Thus, the effects of MNCs subsidiary configuration on firm value can differ by types of uncertainty.

The configuration and natural features of Woldun cave as tourism resources

  • The inside of Woldum cave has a complicated configuration with many dynamic aspects. The number of configurations and natural features of the ground discovered up to now is about 20. When we discuss the value of the potential tourism that the cave has, Woldun cave is a lime cave with resourceful value and tourism value, considering the size of cave and excellency of the spectacular sight. In addition, the large stalagmite's file lining in the inside of the cave is a magnificent spectacle. Therefore the Woldun cave, as a lime cave, is very important for tourism level as well as academic ones.

  • In this paper, an inverse kinematics of redundant manipulators is proposed. Optimality-constraint based inverse kinematic algorithms have some problems because those algorithms are based on necessary conditions for optimality. Among the problems, switching from a maximum value to a minimum value may occur and make an inverse kinematic solution unstable while performing a given task. An inverse kinematic solution for protecting from the switchings is suggested. By sufficient conditions for optimality, the configuration space is defined as a set of regions, potentially good configuration region and potentially bad configuration region. Inverse kinematics solution within potentially good configuration region can provide joint trajectories without both singularities and switchings. Through a simulation of tracing a circle, we show the effectiveness of this inverse kinematics.

  • We consider inertial navigation system (INS) sensor redundancy and propose a method which uses singular value decomposition to detect and isolate faults when even two sensors have faults simultaneously. When redundant sensor configuration is given, such as symmetric configuration in INS, the range space and null space of configuration matrix are determined. We use null space of configuration matrix and define 21 reference fault vectors which include 6 one-fault vectors and 15 two-fault vectors. Measurements are projected into null space of measurement matrix and compared with 21 normalized reference fault vectors, which determines fault detection and isolation.

Development of Industry-Wide IS Integration Model in the Agri-Industry

  • This paper presents a model explaining industrywide information systems (IS) integration in the agri-industry. Using a theoretical frame of value configuration analysis and IS integration extent we study 15 organizations. We find that product sensitivity, continuous production, value chain captains, and value creation logic explain the industry-wide IS integration. Incompatible value creation logic among stakeholders and the lack of presence of "value chain captains" - powerful actors dominating the entire industry - has and negative impact on industry-wide integration. On the other hand, product sensitivity and continuous production process led to higher levels of integration.

Development of a Handheld Sheet Resistance Meter with the Dual-configuration Four-point Probe Method

  • A handheld sheet resistance meter that can easily and quickly measure the sheet resistance of indium tin oxide films was developed. The dual-configuration four-point probe method was adopted for this instrument, which measured sheet resistance in the range from $0.26{\Omega}/sq$. to $2.6k{\Omega}/sq$. with 0.3 % ~ 0.5 % uncertainty. The screen of the instrument displayed the sheet resistance when the probe was in contact with the sample surface and the value continued to be displayed during the probe contact. Even after separating the probe from the surface, the value was still displayed on the screen and could be read easily. A feature of the instrument was the use of the dual-configuration technique to reduce edge effects markedly compared with the single-configuration technique and its ease of operation without applying correction factors for sample size and thickness.

  • 일반적으로 암반사면의 안정성을 평가하는 방법으로는 평사투영해석, 한계평형해석, 수치해석, 안정성 평가표에 의한 방법 등 여러 가지 방법이 이용되고 있다. 이 중 안정성 평가표에 의한 방법은 평가법의 제안기관이나 자국의 특성에 따라 그 평가항목이 상이하며, 또한 안정성 평가표상의 개개의 평가항목에 대한 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 315개소의 고속도로 암반사면 분석자료를 이용하여 일반적으로 사용되고 있는 암반사면의 안정성 평가항목중 기하학적 형상(사면높이, 사면경사 및 경사방향, 주불연속면의 경사 및 경사방향, 사면과 주불연속면의 방향차이) 및 지형학적 특성(지형의 집수가능성, 상부자연사면 경사, 사면형상)에 대한 이상치(abnormal value) 분석을 통하여 암반사면 안정성 평가항목의 유효성을 평가하였다.

  • This paper presents a new configuration of dielectric bandpass filter using the comb-line filter design theory. This filter is composed of a homogeneous dielectric monoblock $(\varepsilonr=35.5)$ with two metal post and a dielectric sheet $(\varepsilonr=9.8).$ In this structure, the RF leakage is suppressed without other shield housing. For the fabricated filter, insertion loss value in the passband region was 0.9dB(Max.) and return loss value was 19dB(Min). Also, this filter has a attenuation pole in the stopband.

  • In this study radio rotatiing field is used in order to form the stable reversed field configuration. The experimental study removing the flux conserving ring not so as to conserve toroidal flux, it was found that there occurred a rapid formation of a stable reversed field configuration, in which toroidal flux was increased shaping reversed field configuration and F-$\Theta$ locus traced close to BFM because it started below F value.

  • Multidimensional scaling is a multivariate technique for constructing a configuration of n points in Euclidean space using information about the distances between the objects. This can be done by the singular value decomposition of the data matrix. But it is known that the singular value decomposition is not resistant. In this study, we provide a resistant version of the multidimensional scaling.
