  • We consider penalized likelihood regression with exponential family responses. Parallel to recent development in Gaussian regression, the fast computation through asymptotically efficient low-dimensional approximations is explored, yielding algorithm that scales much better than the O($n^3$) algorithm for the exact solution. Also customizations of the direct cross-validation strategy for smoothing parameter selection in various distribution families are explored and evaluated.

  • We have consider the study of local influence for smoothing parameter estimates in spline regression model with heteroscedasticity. Practically, generalized cross-validation does not work well in the presence of heteroscedasticity. Thus we have proposed the local influence measure for generalized cross-validation estimates when errors are heteroscedastic. And we have examined effects of diagnostic by above measures through Hyperinflation data.

  • Bioprocess chromatography is probably the most widely used unit operation in biopharmaceutics manufacturing. To obtain a good quality product reproducibly, the chromatography process validation should be performed carefully. We developed a miniaturized automatic chromatography system, MiniValChrom, for column performance validation.

  • This paper presents the validation of a stochastic model of muscle fatigue during static muscle contractions. Forty four laboratory experiments, covering eleven test conditions for two trained subjects, were run in order to estimate fatigue and recovery rates, based on EMG observations. The validation of the model was made by comparing the model predictions to the experimental fatigue time. The validation study supports that the stochastic model of muscle fatigue accurately represents the underlying fatigue process. The study also provides support that the fatigue model can be used as a monitor of individual muscle capabilities.

  • Consider the problem of estimating the underlying regression function from a set of noisy data which is contaminated by a long tailed error distribution. There exist several robust smoothing techniques and these are turned out to be very useful to reduce the influence of outlying observations. However, no matter what kind of robust smoother we use, we should choose the smoothing parameter and relatively less attention has been made for the robust bandwidth selection method. In this paper, we adopt the idea of robust location parameter estimation technique and propose the robust cross validation score functions.

  • This paper present the global generalized cross validation as the appropriate choice of the regularization parameter in the preconditioned Gl-LSQR method in solving image deblurring problems. The regularization parameter, chosen from the global generalized cross validation, with preconditioned Gl-LSQR method can give better reconstructions of the true image than other parameters considered in this study.

  • Researchers in science and technology has broadened the scope of research in order to solve complex problems, academic exchange has also been actively carried out. If the paper which is a mean of interdisciplinary approach has a limited term and the formula, it can act as barriers to access for many researchers in various fields. This paper proposes a cross-validation method for eliminating documentary barriers based on discrete event system formalism. We expect that our proposed method will improve a cross-validation considering researchers in another fields.

  • High performance liquid chromatograph (HPLC) is the most frequently used analytical instrument in analytical laboratories for pharmaceutical analysis. In order to provide a high level of assurance for reliable data generated from the HPLC analysis, the performance qualification of the HPLC system is required. For this purpose, the performance of HPLC system should be regularly monitored by examining the key functions of the typical HPLC system (solvent delivery system, injector system, column oven, UV-VIS detector system). We have investigated the validation guidelines of the performance verification of these key modules for HPLC system. And we proposed and evaluated its validation guidelines and the related verification methods for pharmaceutical analysis that could be practically applied in Korea.

  • This paper presents a workflow validation method for data-intensive graphical workflow models using real-time workflow tracing mode on data-intensive workflow designer. In order to model and validate workflows, we try to divide as modes have editable mode and tracing mode on data-intensive workflow designer. We could design data-intensive workflow using drag and drop in editable-mode, otherwise we could not design but view and trace workflow model in tracing mode. We would like to focus on tracing-mode for workflow validation, and describe how to use workflow tracing on data-intensive workflow model designer. Especially, it is support data centered operation about control logics and exchange variables on workflow runtime for workflow tracing.

  • Along with the significance of information systems in today s global business operation, the significance of information systems control and audit is ever increasing in the effort to secure accuracy and integrity of vital business data. A study is undertaken to integrate Food and Drug Administration computerized systems validation regulations. Securities & Exchange Commission Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 200 and other significant regulations, and lastly, People Capability Maturity Model into one comprehensive information system validation model. The initial benefits to this comprehensive model are convenience, time-saving, and synchronization of the regulations. An organization that is striving for a high level of quality system in its essential operating areas of organization may opt for this model. After the complete development of the model, a field test would be scheduled to test its efficacy and validity.
