Characteristics Analysis of Class E Frequency Multiplier using FET Switch Model (FET 스위치 모델을 이용한 E급 주파수 체배기 특성 해석)

  • This paper has presented research results for the switching mode class E frequency multiplier that has simple circuit structure and high efficiency. Frequency multiplication is coming from the nonlinearity of the active component, and this paper models the FET active component as a simple switch and some parasitics to analyze the characteristics. The matching component parameters for the class E frequency doubler have been derived with modeling the FET as a input controlled switch and some parasitics. A circuit simulator, ADS, is used to simulate the output voltage and current waveform and efficiency with the variation of the parasitic values. With 2.9GHz input and 2V bias, the drain efficiency has been decreased from 98% to 28% with changing the parasitic capacitance from 0pF to 1pF at 5.8GHz output, which shows that the parasitic capacitance CP has the most significant effect on the efficiency among the parasitics of FET.

Model Simulation of a HF Chemical Laser and Numerical Analyses of It's Behaviors (HF 화학 레이저에 대한 Model Simulation과 그 작동 특성의 수치분석)

  • Theoretical analysis of HF chemical laser models are performed through chemical reaction kinetics, gain process and stimulated emission process. A chemical laser of F+$H_2$ nonchain reaction is investigated through V-R transitions of excited HF for vibrational levels up to v = 3 and rate equations including nonchain pumping and deactivation. On this analysis, harmonic and anharmonic vibrational levels are considered separately and the results of the corresponding power calculations are showed very small difference between the two. Output powers are calculated with variation of temperature and initial concentrations of $H_2$. A HF chemical laser of $H_2$+$F_2$ chain reaction is also simulated with a premixed initial condition. Results of present model calculations are satisfactory through comparison with detailed calculations reported by others.

  • Based on the 2-dimensional charge-control simulation[4], a purely analytical model for MODFET's is proposed. In this model, proper treatment of the diffusion effect in the 2-DEG transport due to the gradual channel opening along the 2-DEG channel was made to explain the enhanced mobility and increased thershold voltage. The channel thickness and gate capacitance are experssed as functions of gate vlotage including subthreshold characteristics of the MODFET's analytically. By introducing the finite channel opening and an effective channel-length modulation, the slope of the saturation region of the I-V curves was modeled. The smooth transition of the I-V curves from linear-to-saturation region of the I-V curves was possible using the continuous Troffimenkoff-type of field-dependent mobility. Furthermore, a correction factor f was introduced to account for the finite transtition section forming between the GCA and the saturated section. This factor removes the large discrepanicies in the saturation region fo the I-V curves presicted by existing 1-dimensional models. The fitting parameters chosen in our model were found to be predictable and vary over relatively small range of values.

Al2O3 산화막 방전관을 통한 개선된 오존발생장치에 관한 연구

  • 오존발생방법은 다양한 방식으로 구현이 가능하나 대용량 장치를 만들기 위해서는 DBD (Dielectric barrier discharge) 구조의 형태의 가지고 있다. 이러한, DBD는 반도체의 MOS (Metal On Semiconductor)의 반대 구조를 가진 SOM (Semiconductor On Metal)의 형태를 가지고 있으며 대부분이 Oxidation 산화물을 가지고 구현한다. 오존발생기는 반도체 공정, 환경 및 정화 등 다양한 분야에 사용이 되고 있는 상황으로 성능개선을 위한 연구가 필요한 상황이다. 대표적으로 사용되는 물질인 $SiO_2$를 가지고 있는 상황이며 Silicon은 에너지 Bandgap이 1.1 eV로 금속위에 증착되어 통상적으로 사용되는 문턱전압은 0.7 V에 해당이 된다. 현재 점차적으로 연구가 진행되고 있는 $Al_2O_3$는 8.8 eV의 bandgap을 가지고 있으며 유전 상수가 9로 $SiO_2$인 3.9보다 높은 유전률 특징을 가지고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구는 오존 발생장치에 사용되는 방전관을 기존의 $SiO_2$에서 $Al_2O_3$ 방식으로 대체하므로써 실제적인 유전율의 값의 차이와 오존 발생시 오존변화율 증대에 관하여 연구하였다. $SiO_2$ 방전관은 Fe 메탈위에 약 3 mm정도의 두께를 binding시켜 N4L사의 PSM1700 모델 LCR meter를 사용하여 1.3 kHz시 7.2 pF의 유전율 확인 할 수 있으며 동일한 조건의 금속 메탈위에 $Al_2O_3$를 binding 시켜 측정한 결과 1.07 kHz시 10.7 pF의 유전율을 가지게 되어 40% 이상 높은 유전율을 가지게 되는 것을 확인 할 수 있다. 오존발생을 위하여 가변 주파수형 트랜스 드라이버를 통한 공진 주파수를 생성하여 방전 증폭을 위한 Amplifier를 통하여 변환률을 높이는 방식을 적용하여 MIDAC사의 I1801모델 적외선 분광기(FT-IR)를 통한 오존발생량을 측정하여 기존의 $SiO_2$의 방전관은 시간당 54 g의 오존 발생률 가지게 된다. $Al_2O_3$는 시간당 70 g 정도의 오존 발생률 가지므로 기존의 $SiO_2$ 보다 발생률 높은 것을 확인 할 수 있다.

Studies on LiF-${Li_2}O-{B_2}{O_3}-{P_2}{O_5}$ based Glassy Solid Electrolytes (LiF-${Li_2}O-{B_2}{O_3}-{P_2}{O_5}$계 유리고체전해질에 관한 연구)

  • Electrical characteristics of LiF-$Li_{2}O-B_{2}O_{3}-P_{2}O_5$ glasses with fixed $Li_2O$ content have been investigated by using AC impedance spectroscopy. Part of the total lithium ions present in these glasses contributes to conduction, and the changes in electrical conductivity with composition was inconsistent with the weak electrolyte model. The power law could not be used to determine the hopping ion concentration in these glasses. Both mobile carrier density and mobility have been modified as Li were added in the form of LiF. The formation of $(B-O-P)^-,di^-$, and metaborate group gave additional available sites for Li+ diffusion causing the enhancement of conductivity. The observed maximum conductivity was $2.43 \times 10^{-4}$S/cm at $150^{\circ}C$ at the composition containing 8mol% LiF. The decomposion potential amounted to 5.94V. The Li/glass electrolyte/$TiS_2$ solid-state cell showed open circuit voltage of 3.14V and energy density of 22 Wh/Kg at $150^{\circ}C$.

Development of a deep learning-based cabbage core region detection and depth classification model (딥러닝 기반 배추 심 중심 영역 및 깊이 분류 모델 개발)

  • This paper proposes a deep learning model to determine the region and depth of cabbage cores for robotic automation of the cabbage core removal process during the kimchi manufacturing process. In addition, rather than predicting the depth of the measured cabbage, a model was presented that simultaneously detects and classifies the area by converting it into a discrete class. For deep learning model learning and verification, RGB images of the harvested cabbage 522 were obtained. The core region and depth labeling and data augmentation techniques from the acquired images was processed. MAP, IoU, acuity, sensitivity, specificity, and F1-score were selected to evaluate the performance of the proposed YOLO-v4 deep learning model-based cabbage core area detection and classification model. As a result, the mAP and IoU values were 0.97 and 0.91, respectively, and the acuity and F1-score values were 96.2% and 95.5% for depth classification, respectively. Through the results of this study, it was confirmed that the depth information of cabbage can be classified, and that it can be used in the development of a robot-automation system for the cabbage core removal process in the future.

  • Fuel/air mixing in air turbo ramjet(ATR) combustor is a significant parameter of combustion stability and efficiency. In this study, fuel distribution in the ATR model combustor was measured to compare the degree of mixing with respect to the velocity ratio$(r=v_a/v_f)$ between fuel gas and air. Planar laser-induced fluorescence(PLIF) and image processing method were used to obtain two dimensional fuel distribution. Fuel mixing went bad with approaching to r=1.

  • The crystal structure of fenothiocarb(S-4-phenoxybutyl dimethylthiocarbamate), C13H19NO2S is monoclinic, space group P21/c, a=9.045(1)Å, b=14.577(2)Å, c=10.727(2)Å, β=103.56(1)°, Z=4, V=1375.20(6)Å3, Dc=1.23g/cm3, λ(Mo-Kα)=0.71069Å, μ=2.3cm-1, F(000)=544, temperature : 293±3K, R=0.049 for 1543 unique observed reflections. The structure was determined by direct method and refined by full-matrix least squares method. The molecules are contacted to the c axis with two fold screw and van der Waales force.

Separation Permeation Characteristics of N2-O2 Gas in Air at Cell Membrane Model of Skin which Irradiated by High Energy Electron (고에너지 전자선을 조사한 피부의 세포막모델에서 공기 중의 O2-N2 혼합기체의 분리투과 특성)

  • The separation permeation characteristics of $N_2-O_2$ gas in air at cell membrane model of skin which irradiated by high energy electron(linac 6 MeV) were investigated. The cell membrane model of skin used in this experiment was a sulfonated polydimethyl siloxane(PDMS) non-porous membrane. The pressure range of $N_2$ and $O_2$ gas were appeared from $1kg_f/cm^2$ to $6kg_f/cm^2$. In this experiment(temperature $36.5^{\circ}C$), the permeation change of $N_2$ and $O_2$ gas in non-porous membrane by non-irradiation were found to be $1.19{\times}10^{-4}-2.43{\times}10^{-4}$, $1.72{\times}10^{-4}-2.6{\times}10^{-4}cm^3(STP)/cm^2{\cdot}sec{\cdot}cmHg$, respectively. That of $N_2$ and $O_2$ gas in non-porous membrane by irradiation were found to be $0.19{\times}10^{-4}-0.56{\times}10^{-4}$, $0.41{\times}10^{-4}-0.76{\times}10^{-4}cm^3(STP)/cm^2{\cdot}sec{\cdot}cmHg$, respectively. The irradiated membrane was significantly decreased about 4-10 times than membrane which was not irradiated. And ideal separation factor of $N_2$ and $O_2$ gas by non-irradiation was found to be from 1.32 to 0.42 and that of $N_2$ and $O_2$ gas by irradiation was found to be from 0.237 to 0.125. The irradiated membrane was significantly decreased about 4-5 times than membrane which was not irradiated. When the operation change(cut) and pressure ratio(Pr) by non-irradiation were about 0, One was increased to the oxygen enrichment and the other was decreased to the oxygen enrichment. The irradiated membrane was significantly decreased about 4-19 times than membrane which was not irradiated. As the pressure of $N_2$ and $O_2$ gas was increased, the selectivity was decreased. As separation permeation characteristics of $N_2-O_2$ gas in cell membrane model of skin were abnormal, cell damages were appeared at cell.

Low-Cost Single-Phase to Three-Phase AC/DC/AC PWM Converters for Induction Motor Drives (유도전동기 구동을 위한 저가형 단상-3상 AC/DC/AC PWM 컨버터)

  • In this paper, a single-phase to three-phase PWM converter topology using a single-phase half-bridge PWM rectifier and a 2-leg inverter for low cost three-phase induction motor drives is proposed. In addition, the source voltage sensor is eliminated with a state observer which controls the deviation between the model current and the system current to be zero. The converter topology is of lower cost than the conventional one, which gives sinusoidal input current, unity power factor, dc output voltage control, bidirectional power flow and VVVF output voltage. The experimental results for V/F control of 3Hp induction motor drives have been shown.
