A brief review is presented on the ion beam application in science and technology. ion beams are used very effectively in various fields of science and technology, on the basis of advance in accelerator technology and experimental techniques for ion beam utilization. Recent progress in this field is reviewed in terms of the direct ion beam utilization like ion beam analysis, and the utilization of neutrons as secondary particles.

Enhancing utilization of buildings is gaining in importance in response to a challenging economy; thus, there is a need for a method that analyzes space, user, and user activity in an integrated way to provide project stakeholders with utilization information to support their decision-making about buildings. Conventional methods, such as architectural programming and post-occupancy evaluation, lack a formal relationship between user activity and other information, and therefore, are coarse-grained. This relationship has been formalized by two relatively new methods that provide fine-grained utilization information: workplace planning and space-use analysis. We characterize these two methods with focuses on their usage in different phases (i.e., planning, design, occupancy), required information that needs to be gathered, and the achievement and limitations in terms of three criteria, i.e., consistency, efficiency, and transparency. This characterization would not only help project stakeholders select and use a method that best meets their purposes for enhancing utilization of their buildings, but also provide researchers with promising research topics regarding enhancing utilization of buildings.

Performance of panelists trained for cooked rice quality was evaluated using analysis of variance, correlation analysis, and principal component analysis. Each method offered different information. Results showed that panleists with high F ratios (p=0.05) did not always have high correlation coefficient (p=0.05) with mean values pooled from whole panel. The results of analysis of variance for the panelists whose performance were extremely good or extremely poor were consistent with those of correlation analysis. Outliers designated by principal component analysis were different from the panelists whose performance was defined as extremely good or extremely poor by analysis of variance and correlation analysis. The results of principal component analysis descriminated the panelists with different scoring range more than different scoring trends depending on the treatments. Our study suggested combination of analysis of variance and correlation analysis provided valid basis for screening panelists.

Purpose - This study investigates factors that affected the utilization of trade support policies and further analyzed how the utilization of trade support policies affected export performance. Research design, data, and methodology - With a sample of 223 small and medium-sized export firms from South Korea, this study examines the determinants of the utilization level of trade support system such as export market orientation, learning orientation, network capability and environmental uncertainty by regression analysis. Results - Export market orientation have a positive effect on the utilization of the trade support system and there is positive relationship between learning orientation and the utilization of trade support system. And network capabilities have had a positive impact on the utilization of the trade support system but there is no relationship between environmental uncertainty and the utilization of trade support system. The utilization of the trade support system had a positive effect on export performance. Conclusions - The internal and external factors of the organization have affected small and medium-sized export firms use of trade support systems. The utilization of trade support system can enhance positive export performance by providing valuable information and resource to external knowledge and also to complementary resources from the external partners.

The purpose of this study is to identify factors in selecting the elective ICT utilization lecture and to find positive and negative elements of the lecture through conducting topic modeling analysis of text mining of the narrative lecture evaluation. In order to do so, from pre-processing of data, keyword frequency analysis to wordcloud visualization and topic modeling analysis have been conducted from 'reasons of selecting the lecture,' 'improvements to be made on the lecture,' and 'what I liked about the lecture' categories regarding the ICT utilization lecture which was opened in the second semester of 2019 at M University. The analysis results show that students mostly registered for the ICT utilization lecture at M University to obtain a certificate and the fact being certified and taking the lecture can be done simultaneously is a positive element of taking the lecture. On the other hand, negative element included inconvenience of the classroom setting environment.

The goal of this survey is to propose planning and design informations for the public open spaces in apartment housing, through the observation and analysis of the current situations. For this, the planning information of housing suppliers about public open spaces and the spatial utilization of users were compared and by analyzing facility utilization and resident\`s recognition. This study is also intended to guide the future directions of the research for the improvement of public open spaces. The research follows three phases; \circled1 To understand the conditions of public open spaces in apartment housing sites through survey and analysis of catalogues and references. \circled2 To study on facility utilization and resident's recognition by observation and analysis. \circled3 To propose planning guidelines for the improvement of public open space by recognition differences of facilities.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the Korean government's investment priorities for the establishment of a supercomputer joint utilization system using AHP. The AHP model was designed as a two-layered structure consisting of two areas of specialized infrastructure, a one-stop joint utilization system service, and four evaluation items for detailed tasks. For the weight of each evaluation item, a cost efficiency index considering the annual budget was developed for the first time and applied to the weight calculation process. AHP analysis conducted a survey targeting supercomputer experts and derived priorities with 22 data that had completed reliability verification. As a result of the analysis, the government's investment priority was high in the order of dividing infrastructure for each Specialized Center and building resources in stages. In the future, the analysis results will be used to select economic promotion plans and prepare strategies for the establishment of the government's supercomputer joint utilization system.

Objectives : This study aimed to analyze the factors influencing Korean medical utilization among persons with unmet healthcare needs. Methods : This study utilized Korea Health Panel data in 2019, with 10,771. We performed a t-test and ANOVA on the difference in general characteristics between Korean medical utilization and unmet healthcare needs. Logistic regression analysis and generalized linear model analysis were conducted to analyze on factors affecting the Korean medical utilization by people with unmet healthcare needs. Results : Among people with unmet healthcare needs, the variables influencing Korean medical utilization were western medical utilization, gender, education level, musculoskeletal disease, and other chronic diseases. The more people with unmet healthcare needs, the more likely they were to use Korean medicine. As a result of logistic regression analysis, the influencing factors on Korean medical utilization were analyzed for people with unmet healthcare needs, and the higher the household income, the more musculoskeletal diseases, and the higher the probability of using Korean medicine. Conclusions : Korean medicine has a large proportion of musculoskeletal disease, so it was found that musculoskeletal diseases have an impact. In addition, considering that household income is an important factor in the influencing factor of unmet healthcare needs, it is necessary to increase the use of Korean medicine by those with low household incomes.

The purpose of this study was to identify the determinants of nutrition service utilization in health centers. Utilization of nutrition services for chronic discase were also investigated. Interview survey using questionnaire was conducted to collect the data required for analysis. The study subjects were 300 residents over 40 years of age, and 15 health workers representing health center service personnel in Kypnggi province. A wilcoxon 2-sample test and Kruskal-Wallis test were used to compare the distribution of health centers by health center characteristics and nutrition services. A chi-square test was used to test the association between service utilization and personal variables of the population. A multiple logistic regression analysis was used to measure the relative importance between the variables on service utilization. The results showed that only 10.0% of the study subjects used nutrition services provided by the health centers. Pilot project implementation and location of health centers, as well as educational level of the residents were significant factors influencing the utilization of the nutrition services provided by the health centers. Among the variables, pilot project implementation was the most important factor that influenced the nutrition service utilization in health centers.

This study was carried out to obtain conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) producing lactic acid bacteria for further study on the enzymes related to the production of CLA which has gained considerable attention and on the development as a probiotic culture. Total 34 lactic acid bacteria were isolated from 19 feces samples of healthy babies. CLA forming ability was measured spectrophotometrically by the modification of linoleate 12-cis, 11-trans-isomerase activity measuring method, and CLA of the cultures were extracted, methylated, and examined by HPLC analysis. CLA methyl ester of only one culture showing the highest value of CLA forming ability could be detected by HPLC analysis. The culture was found to be Gram positive, rods and catalase negative. It grows at $45^{\circ}C$ but not at $15^{\circ}C$, and was identified to be Lactobacillus fermentum on the basis of the biochemical characteristics and the utilization of substrates. These results provide an efficient experimental method to screen CLA producing lactic acid bacteria.
