고주파링크 방식의 계통연계형 태양광발전시스템 (High frequency Linked Grid-Connected PV System for Residential Use)

  • An investigation into power conditioners that interface with photovoltaic array and utilities has been completed. The rating for this investigation is residential system(3-5kW) that interface with a 220V single phase utility connection. As the result of this investigation, a 3kW high frequency PWM IGBT inverter feeding a high frequency isolation transformer with a sinusoidal current wave was selected. The output of the transformer rectified with a diode bridge rectifier four IGBT, used as 60Hz switched, reverse the polarity of the rectified current on every other half cycle of the utility voltage. Even though the high frequency link system used more power semiconductors a net size, weight, and parts cost saying result compared to the other systems due to elimination of 60Hz transformer.

  • The installation of small sized Embedded Generator(EG) in parallel with the utility supply was required several technical complications for protection of the system. One of the most important protection is to provide protection against islanding and out of synchronism reclosing with the utility source. This paper explains several current methods of detecting 'Loss Of Mains'(LOM). But they have not proved completely dependable, in particular when the islanded load's capacity matches that of the EG. A new loss of mains protection algorithm is presented in this paper which based on measurement of the reactive power and node voltage for detecting the islanding condition even though the EG operate in the capacity.

  • The application field of photovoltaic system has been increased widely. In the application of photovoltaic system, the utility interactive photovoltaic system(UIPVS) has benefits of not only the home energy saving in domestic system but also reduction of peak power which threaten the capacity of power plant equipment when the maximum power consumption is occurred in daytime. This paper represents the effect of the nonlinear AC load which connected to the UIPVS with parallel connection and introduces the active power filtering(APF) techniques to the UIPVS for the reactive power compensation. The enhancement of source side power quality using APF algorithm is verified using simulation.

  • 본 논문은 전력회사 소유의 열병합발전소와 난방공사 소유의 보조열원설비들이 서로 연계되어 열에너지를 공급해 주고 있는 종합 열병합발전시스템에서, 보조설비들의 최적규모산정 및 일간 최적운전계획 수립 기법을 제안하였다. 최적규모산정과 운전계획수립은 국가적인 측면에서 총 연료비가 최소가 되는 관점에서 수립하였고, 이를 증명하기 위하여 계절별(춘계, 하계, 동계) 및 종류별(평일, 휴일, 연휴)로 나누어 각각의 시뮬레이션 결과로부터 최적의 규모 및 운전계획을 수립하였다. 본 연구결과는 자사의 이익이 증대되도록 계획을 수립할 공산이 큰 종합 열병합발전시스템에서 국가적 측면에서의 기법과 가이드라인을 제시하였으므로 현장에서의 많은 활용이 기대된다.

  • In this paper an integrated model of PV-AF (Photovoltaic-Active Filter) and PV-SPE(Photovoltaic Solid Polymer Electrolyte) system using PSCAD/EMTDC were explained in detaiil. The main concept of PV-AF system starts from the 'harmonics'. In order to deliver power to utility, PV system essentially needs a converter system. Here PV-AF system adds the function of active filter to the converter system installed in PV system, which was introduced already in several papers. PV-SPE system has been studied as a replacement of existing hydrogen production technology that emits large amount of carbon dioxide into atmosphere. Until now, these two systems, PV-AF and PV-SPE, have been considered separately However, in this paper, characteristics and advantages of combined system are discussed in detail.

  • A novel simulation scheme of transient phenomenon for the photovoltaic (PV) generation system under the real weather conditions has been proposed in this paper. A grid connected PV array is simulated using PSCAD/EMTDC. The transient changes of the output current of PV array under the real weather conditions is described and the output current of DC/AC converter flowing through the utility power network is also analyzed with the PWM switching width. Moreover, the MPPT control of PV generation system is combined to the system during the simulation for the comparison purposes of the control schemes. The outcome of the simulation demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed simulation scheme. The result shows that the cost effective verifying for the efficiency or availability and stability of PV generation systems and the comparison research of various control schemes like MPPT under the same real whether conditions are eventually possible.

  • Auto-connected multipulse(12/24pulse) rectifier schemes are cost effective methods for reducing line current hamonics in PWM drive systems. Employing these schemes to enhance utility power quality requires careful attention to several design considerations In particular, excursion of dc-link voltage at no load, effect of pre-existing voltage distortion, impedance mismatches, unequal diode drops on rectifier current sharing and performance, are fully analyzed, Several corrective measures to improve the performance of 12/24­pulse rectifier systems are also discussed. Finally, experimental results on a 460V, 60Hz 400kVA commercial ASD, retrofitted with 12/24pulse rectifier systems are discussed in detail.
