Traditional attire has assumed a pivotal role within the contemporary fashion industry. The objective of this study is to construct a computer vision model tailored to the recognition of traditional costumes originating from five distinct countries, namely India, Korea, Japan, Tanzania, and Vietnam. Leveraging a dataset comprising 1,608 images, we proceeded to train the cutting-edge computer vision model YOLOv8. The model yielded an impressive overall mean average precision (MAP) of 96%. Notably, the Indian sari exhibited a remarkable MAP of 99%, the Tanzanian kitenge 98%, the Japanese kimono 92%, the Korean hanbok 89%, and the Vietnamese ao dai 83%. Furthermore, the model demonstrated a commendable overall box precision score of 94.7% and a recall rate of 84.3%. Within the realm of the fashion industry, this model possesses considerable utility for trend projection and the facilitation of personalized recommendation systems.
Cancer serum biomarkers have advanced our ability to more accurately predict tumor classification, prognostic/metastatic potential, and response potential to novel chemotherapies. Serum amyloid A (SAA) and Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) have potential utility as a serum biomarker for lung cancer. Quantum dots, nanometer-sized crystals, have a high quantum yield, sensitivity, and pronounced photostability. The properties of quantum dots can be efficiently applied to the detection of serum biomarkers in immunoassays as fluorescent probe. We used quantum dots as fluorescent probes in immunoassays and attempted to detect serum amyloid A and vascular endothelial growth factor as serum biomarkers of lung cancer. This fluorescence immunoassay based on the properties of quantum dots is applicable to the detection of serum biomarkers for lung cancer. The fluorescence immunoassay with quantum dots should allow the efficient and specific detection of serum amyloid A (SAA) for the possible diagnosis of lung cancer.

Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae is among the most prevalent and important infectious agents associated with porcine respiratory disease complex. The airway dagame caused by M. hyopneumoniae adversely affect the pulmonary host defense mechanisms and may lead to secondary bacterial infections. Culture is considered to be the "gold standard" for diagnosis but this is a very slow and labor-intensive procedure. Isolation of M. hyopneumoniae is complicated by its fastidious nature and extremely slow growth. Thirty days of incubation may be necessary to detect the organism in primary broth cultures. The purposes of the study were (ⅰ) to develop nested PCR for the detection of M. hyopneumoniae for the detection of M. hyopneumoniae DNA in the formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded lung tissues from experimentally and naturally infected pigs and (ⅱ) to compare the utility of nested PCR with in situ hybridization. Despite recent advancements in the diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer, clinical results remain dismal. Furthermore, there are no reliable biomarkers or alternatives beyond carbohydrate antigen 19-9. Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) may be a potential biomarker, but their therapeutic application is constrained by their rarity in peripheral venous blood. Theoretically, the portal vein can be a more appropriate location for the detection of CTCs, because the first venous drainage of pancreatic cancer is portal circulation. According to several studies, the number and detection rate of CTCs may be higher in the portal blood than in the peripheral blood. CTC counts in the portal blood are strongly correlated with several prognostic parameters such as hepatic metastasis, recurrence after surgery, and survival. The phenotypic and genotypic properties analyzed in the captured portal CTCs can assist us to comprehend tumor heterogeneity and predicting the prognosis of pancreatic cancer. The investigations to date are limited by small sample sizes and varied CTC detection techniques. Therefore, a large number of prospective studies are required to confirm portal CTCs as a valid biomarker in pancreatic cancer.
Esophageal cancer (EC) is one of the most common malignant tumors, and the incidence of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is highest in China. Early diagnosis and effective monitoring are keys to comprehensive treatment and discovering tumor metastases and recurrence in time. The aim of this study was to confirm serum peptidome pattern utility for diagnosis of ESCC, and assessment of operation success, postoperative chemotherapy results, tumor metastasis and recurrence. Serum samples were collected from 61 patients treated with surgery and chemotherapy and 20 healthy individuals. Spectral data generated with weak cationic-exchanger magnetic beads (WCX-MB) and MALDI-TOF MS by a support vector machine (SVM), were used to construct diagnostic models and system training as potential biomarkers. A pattern consisting of 11 protein peaks, separated ESCC (m/z 650.75), operated (m/z 676.61, 786.1, 786.58), postoperative chemotherapy (m/z 622.77, 650.66, 676.46) and tumor metastasis and recurrence (m/z 622.63, 650.56, 690.77, 676.12) from the healthy individuals with a sensitivity of 100.0% and a specificity of 100.0%. These results suggested that MALDITOF MS combined with MB separation yields significantly higher sensitivity and specificity for the detection of serum protein in patients with EC patients treated with surgery and chemotherapy.

Purpose: To summarize the results of chromosomal microarray analysis (CMA) for copy number variants (CNVs) detection and clinical utility in a single tertiary hospital. Materials and Methods: We performed CMA in 46 patients over the course of two years. Detected CNVs were classified into five categories according to the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics guidelines and correlated with clinical manifestations. Results: A total of 31 CNVs were detected in 19 patients, with a median CNV number per patient of two CNVs. Among these, 16 CNVs were classified as pathogenic (n=3) or likely pathogenic (LP) (n=11) or variant of uncertain significance (n=4). The 16p11.2 deletion and 16p13.11 deletion classified as LP were most often detected in 6.5% (3/46), retrospectively. CMA diagnostic yield was 24.3% (9/37 patients) for symptomatic patients. The CNVs results of the commercial newborn screening test using next generation sequencing platforms showed high concordance with CMA results. Conclusion: CMA seems useful as a first-tier test for developmental delay with or without congenital anomalies. However, the classification and interpretation of CMA still remained a challenge. Further research is needed for evidence-based interpretation.

Purpose: To investigate the clinical value in lung cancer of a combination of four serum tumor markers, haptoglobin (Hp), carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), neuron specific enolase (NSE) as well as the cytokeratin 19 fragment (CYFRA21-1). Materials and Methods: Serum Hp (with immune-turbidimetric method), CEA, NSE, CYFRA21-1 (with chemiluminescence method) level were assessed in 193 patients with lung cancer, 87 patients with benign lung disease and 150 healthy controls. Differences of expression were compared among groups, and joint effects of these tumor markers for the diagnosis of lung cancer were analyzed. Results: Serum tumor marker levels in patients with lung cancer were obviously higher than those with benign lung disease and normal controls (p<0.01). The sensitivities of Hp, CEA, NSE and CYFRA21-1 were 43.5%, 40.9%, 23.3% and 41.5%, with specificities of 90.7%, 99.2%, 97.9% and 97.9%. Four tumor markers combined together could produce a positive detection rate of 85.0%, significantly higher than that of any single test. With squamous carcinomas, the positive detection rates with Hp and CYFRA21-1 were higher than that of other markers. In the adenocarcinoma case, the positive detection rate of CEA was higher than that of other markers. For small cell carcinomas, the positive detection rate of NSE was highest. The area under receiver operating characteristic curve ($AUC^{ROC}$) of Hp in squamous carcinoma (0.805) was higher than in adenocarcinoma (0.664) and small cell carcinoma (0.665). Conclusions: Hp can be used as a new serum tumor marker for lung cancer. Combination detection of Hp, CEA, NSE and CYFRA21-1 could significantly improve the sensitivity and specificity in diagnosis of lung cancer, and could be useful for pathological typing.

Power Quality Compensator(PQC) has been installed to protect the sensitive loads against the voltage disturbances, such as voltage sag and interruption. In general, static switch is used for the purpose of link between utility and PQC. So transfer operation of the static switch play a important part in the PQC. Many studies on the structure and control of PQC have been progressed in active, but these researches have been rarely mentioned about any voltage-disturbances-detection method to start the PQC operation. In this paper, a new voltage-disturbances-detection algorithm for computer application loads using the CBEMA/ITIC curve is proposed for transfer operation of the static switch. The proposed detection algorithm is implemented to get fast detecting time through the comparison of instantaneous 3-phase voltage values transferred to DC values in the synchronous reference frame with the operating reference values. To get the robust characteristics against the noise, a first order digital filter is designed. The magnitude falling and phase delay caused by the filter are compensated through the error normalizing and numerical analysis using transfer function, respectively. Finally, the validity of the proposed algorithm is proved by ACSL simulation and experimental results.

It is Face recognition is a very important process in image monitoring and it is a form of biometric technology. The recognition process involves many variables and is highly complex, so the software development has only begun recently with the development of hardware. Face detection technology using the CCTV is a process that precedes face analysis, and it is a technique that detects where the face is in the image. Research in face detection and recognition has been difficult because the human face reacts sensitively to different environmental conditions, such as lighting, color of skin, direction, angle and facial expression. The utility and importance of face recognition technology is coming into the limelight over time, but many aspects are being overlooked in the facial area detection technology that must precede face recognition. The system in this paper can detect tilted faces that cannot be detected by the AdaBoost detector and It could also be used to detect other objects.

With the recent development of satellite sensor technology, high-spatial-resolution imagery of various spectral wavelength bands have become possible. Worldview-3 satellite sensor provides panchromatic images with high-spatial-resolution and VNIR (Visible Near InfraRed) and SWIR (ShortWave InfraRed) bands with low-spatial-resolution, so it can be used in various fields such as defense, environment, and surveying. In this study, mineral detection was performed using Worldview-3 satellite imagery. In order to effectively utilize the VNIR and SWIR bands of the Worldview-3 satellite image, the sharpening technique was applied to the spatial resolution of the panchromatic image. To confirm the utility of SWIR bands for mineral detection, mineral detection using only VNIR bands was performed and comparatively evaluated. As the mineral detection technique, SAM (Spectral Angle Mapper), a representative similarity technique, was applied, and the pixels detected as minerals were selected by applying an empirical threshold to the analysis result. Quantitative evaluation was performed using reference data on the results of similarity analysis to evaluate the accuracy of mineral detection. As a result of the accuracy evaluation, the detection rate and false detection rate of mineral detecting using SWIR bands were calculated to be 0.882 and 0.011, respectively, and the results using only VNIR bands were 0.891 and 0.037, respectively. It was found that the detection rate when the SWIR bands were additionally used was lower than that when only the VNIR bands were used. However, it was found that the false detection rate was significantly reduced, and through this, it was possible to confirm the applicability of SWIR bands in mineral detection.
