User's Emotional Preference on PC OS GUI - Though Semantic Differential Method (PC OS GUI 의 사용자 감성에 관한 연구 - 의미분별 척도법을 활용한 사용자 감성 선호도 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze and define user's emotional satisfaction factors to the PC OS GUI image. The study is to investigate the relationship between PC OS GUI Image and Sensitive Vocabula교 based on user's emotional preference. 47 user preferred sensitive words are collected by the initial survey. Through the similarity test, 47 words are narrowed down to 20 comprehend words. The semantic differential methods is used in the final survey with 5 step questionnaire. From this process, user preferred the GUI design that is vocabularized as Clear, Easy, Safety, Stability. Additionally, the result shows that the image of Clear is related to Safety and the image of Easy is related to Stability. The result of the study could be used in design PC OS GUI as base data.

Internet Use Motivations and Problem Behaviors of Vocational High School Students according to Internet Addiction and Family System Type (실업계 고등학생의 인터넷 중독 수준과 가족체계유형에 따른 인터넷 사용동기 및 문제행동)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in internet use motivations and problem behaviors among vocational high school students according to internet addiction and family system type. Five hundred vocational high school students from Daegu took part in the survey. The questionnaire survey consisted of an internet addiction self-assessment scale, a family system type scale, an internet use motivation scale, and a problem behavior scale. The data was analysed using MANOVA and Cronbach a, and the $Scheff\acute{e}$ test was used for post-hoc analysis. The major findings of this study were as follows: First, the study found significant differences in adolescent internet use motivation according to internet addiction. Adolescents in the high dangerous user group showed higher communicative, experiential, and addictive motivations than adolescents in potentially dangerous and normal user groups. Also, there were no significant differences in informative motivation according to internet addiction. Regardless of internet addiction, adolescents tend to use the internet to search for information and to solve problems. Second, there were significant differences in adolescents' problem behaviors according to internet addiction. More specifically, adolescents who were in the high dangerous user group displayed more problem behaviors toward their body, family, school, and society than adolescents in the potentially dangerous and the normal user groups. Third, an adolescent's family system type significantly influenced his/her internet use motivation. Adolescents from an extreme family showed higher communicative and addictive motivations than adolescents from middle and balanced families. Fourth, there were significant differences in the problem behaviors of adolescents according to family system types. Adolescents from an extreme family showed more problem behaviors toward their body, family, school, and society than adolescents from middle and balanced families.

Design and implementation of User Interface for Elementary School Students (초등학생을 위한 사용자 인터페이스의 설계 및 구현)

  • Although online education has many advantages such as providing huge information and overcoming time and space limit over the traditional education, its effects may not be good unless proper user interface is not provided. Only well-designed interface can allow students to learn correct information quickly and study creatively and actively. The purpose of this study is to design and implement user interface suitable for elementary school students. In this study, in order to design proper user interface for elementary school students, factors affecting human-computer interaction have been analyzed and adopted. Also, design and structure of existing educational portal sites are analyzed so that the most common design elements are adopted. Finally, extensive survey is carried out in order to examine preference and navigation style of elementary school students and teachers. The survey results are reflected on the design principles of this work.

Identifying Usability Level and Factors Affecting Electronic Nursing Record Systems: A Multi-institutional Time-motion Approach (전자간호기록 시스템의 사용성 수준 및 관련 요인 분석: Time-motion 방법 적용을 통한 다기관 접근)

  • Purpose: The usability, user satisfaction, and impact of electronic nursing record (ENR) systems were investigated. Methods: This mixed-method research was performed as a time-motion (TM) study and a survey which were carried out at six hospitals between August and November 2013. The TM study involved 108 nurses from medical, surgical, and intensive care units at each hospital, plus an additional 48 nurses who served as nonparticipating observers. In the survey, 1879 volunteer nurses completed the Impact of ENR Systems Scale, the System Usability Scale, and a global satisfaction scale. Qualitative and quantitative analyses were performed. Results: The mean scores for the ENR impact, system usability, and satisfaction were 4.28 (out of 6), 58.62 (out of 100), and 74.31 (out of 100), respectively, and they differed significantly between hospitals (F=43.43, p<.001, F=53.08 and p<.001, and F=29.13 and p<.001, respectively). A workflow fragmentation assessment revealed different patterns of ENR system use among the included hospitals. Three user characteristics-educational background, practice period, and experience of using paper records-significantly affected the system usability and satisfaction scores. Conclusion: The system quality varied widely among the ENR systems. The generally low-to-moderate levels of system usability and user satisfaction suggest many opportunities for improvement.

  • Lately, influence of information rises and interest about estimation satisfaction of information service is rising. However, It requires complicated and various method that measure and evaluate correct value of information service by various attributes of information. Also function and efficiency of information offer service are important. Therefore, interest for satisfaction survey to heighten contents satisfaction of information offer service, service satisfaction, satisfaction of user of system satisfaction is increased. Therefor in This paper, measures lTFlND's User Satisfaction Index and establish information offer service strategy that improve. And wish to draw improvement way and present improvement method and way after direction through results of measurements of user satisfaction index in information offer service field.

A Study on the User-driven Urban Park Development Plan Awareness Survey - Focusing on Lawns·Grass Area - (의식조사를 통한 이용자 중심의 도시공원 조성방안 연구 - 잔디·녹지공간을 중심으로 -)

  • This study aims to analyze the current situation of and issues in the structure of urban neighborhood parks and park facility installation in cities in Gyeonggi-do. Then, based on its findings, plans to improve the space structure of the parks were examined and suggested to raise the city environment improvement function and green area base function of urban parks and fully satisfy users' needs for pleasant rest, recreation and cultural activities. The findings showed that, within parks, the area of grass where access was restricted reached about 24.4% in average. In other words, only 75.6% of total park area could be freely used by park visitors. As for an improvement plan, the grass area where access is limited may be converted into a gras area that can be freely used to raise the park use area, which currently stands only at 75.6%, to 100%. The result of cross analysis through Chi-Square Test regarding lawn use as well as regarding (dis)agreement with reduction of lawn, based on the investigation of cognition, showed a significant agreement of park users with reduction of green areas. Therefore it is considered that lawn space must be reduced according the result of the analysis, to set up plans for facility space that would meet the desires of users. The analysis of user behaviors revealed that many of them used square spaces and walks; therefore it is considered that re-structuring of space is necessary according to local characteristics. This study also made some policy suggestion. urban parks must be a base of city green areas to counter climate changes. When developing a park creation plan, a user demand survey must be conducted in advance. In addition. grass construction methods should be improved to tolerate foot pressure.

Analysis of User Preference for Designing Real-Time Warning Information (실시간 교통안전 경고정보 제공을 위한 이용자 선호도 분석 연구)

  • Provision of advanced warning information is one of the useful countermeasures to prevent traffic accidents. Analysis of user's preference for any information contents would be a backbone in designing more effective warning information systems. This study aimed at deriving more comprehensive and valuable warning information that leads to user's safer driving by conducting a questionnaire survey. In total, 258 people including various age groups and driving experiences participated in the survey. Preferable warning information contents were identified by this study. It is expected that the results would be useful data for providing warning information to drivers.

A Study on the Extraction of Emotional Words for Media Facade (내용분석 및 자유연상을 통한 미디어 파사드의 감성어휘 추출)

  • The aim of this paper is to select a distinct vocabulary for understanding the media facade of user and to lay the foundation for a media facade emotional scale. Firstly, we assembled a set of emotional words that were sufficient to represent a general overview of korean emotions, collected from various literature studies. Secondly, we found emotional words from collecting user opinion on the Youtube website. Finally the emotional words were collected from phrase by using non-structural survey. The collected words were integrated according to standards and they were organized 39 pieces that can be used in the survey. As a result, we extracted 21 emotional words for measuring user's emotions expressed while watching media facade, such as 'novel', 'cool', 'awesome', 'gorgeous', 'exciting', 'amazing', 'wonderful,', 'showy', 'great,', 'intense', 'good', 'grand', 'colorful', 'unique', 'variety', 'new', 'fun', 'beautiful', 'luxurious,', 'mysterious', 'satisfactory'. And we categorized the 21 words to form 5 elements by using factor analysis such as 'surprise', 'attention', 'variety', 'aesthetics', 'interest'.

  • This study focuses on user experience of Ant Insurance Platform(insurance product of Alibaba) and provides insights and improvement advises based on the survey conducted. Given that insurance claim is the most controversial part during the whole process, it is essential to conduct corresponding research from users' prospective. Some Chinese users between their 20's and 40's, who are major users of mobile insurance platforms, were selected as a sample group. Questionaire survey, which was made based on measurement items from Information systems success model, as well as in-depth interview was conducted within the group. According to the result, health, among all kinds, is the most difficult insurance to claim, which was mainly cause by security and information concerns. In order to enhance security, more options should be given to users. As for information, complains should be delt carefully and transparently. This study is expected to be used as referential material for mobile insurance platforms and user experience of insurance claims.

Analysis of User Experience for the Development of Smart Golf-wear (스마트 골프웨어 개발을 위한 사용자경험 분석)

  • This study investigates and analyzes user preferences for golf wear with a sense of wear and smart function for the development of smart golf wear based on user convenience. A survey was conducted on 124 males in the age range of 40-60s that consisted of professional golfers, amateur golfers and the public with golf experience (such as major golf consumers) from August 1 to August 30, 2019 (IRB NO. 1040198-190617-HR-057-03); consequently, a 117 copies were accepted for analysis. The findings are as follows. The elbow (4.3%) of golf wear is unsatisfactory. The important part of the golf swing motion is the shoulder (39.3)>, elbow (30.8%)>, and wrist (6.8%). In addition, the unsatisfactory wearing of golf wear due to golf swing movements indicated that the shoulder or elbow area was pulled or the bottom of the top was raised during the back swing movements. The survey results on the expected discomfort when wearing smart wear are 'discomfort of obstruction when wearing' (53.8%), 'discomfort of washing' (17.1%), and 'weight of attached machine' (13.7%). Opinions such as 'Will not feel good when the sensor is attached' were investigated. The examination of the preference for golf wear equipped with smart functions indicated that a posture correction function to correct the golf swing posture is the most desired quality that is also considered important when correcting posture.
