Recent activation of DMB has enabled various high quality video, audio and data services. And there are various user facilities functions using digital data transmission. One of the various user facilities functions is EPG(Electronic Program Guide). EPG supports schedule of programs on screen for. audiences. EPG is composed to time, title, channel, genre etc. Users can select a program what they want to browsing. Currently EPG services are displaying program schedule on screen visually and make users to input ke:ywords with keypads, remote control devices or touch screen etc. However, this approach could cause a serious restriction to some users like to drivers or visually handicapped persons. A standard for a voice EPG to T-DMB is proposed. This method must be transferred VoiceXML based EPG files from the transmitter to receivers. This approach has a problem to process a standardization because the transmitter and receivers should be modified. We proposed and implemented a voice EPG platform that generates the voice EPG files from T-DMB SI without transferring voice EPG file from the transmitter.

In the modern communicative age, the standards of the school libraries are the qualitative guarantee on the services of school libraries or school library media programs, as the guidline, the active guide, the policy documentation and criteria for the professional excellence. The standards of SLMP were revised the sixth time by the school library profession(ALA) with the members or agency of NEA in the U.S. There are the first standard was a quantitative; 'the Certain Report'(by A.L.A., 1920) appearing that the school library is the heart of the school, 2nd 1925; turning up the teaching material source and personel, 'School Libraries for today and tomorrow' (by AASL, 1945) incluseing the instructional materials and the 7th educational ideas in the quantitative feature, 'Standards for School Library Programs' (by AASL, 1960) expressing the instructional material center, communicative environment, learning and teaching laboratory, 'Standards for school media programs' (by DAVI & AASL, 1969) implicating the instructional resource, learning and teaching laboratory, the condition precedent of qualitative education for excellence, 'Standards for media programs; District/school (by AASL & AECT, 1975) containing the improving user's educational experience and personal freedom on the use of SLMP's services. Through changing the standards of SLMP in the US, We have known that the main educational idea in the standards are; (1) SLMP is the instructional force and resource for qualitative, excellence education by learning and teaching laboratory, instructional resource, communicative environment (2) SLMP is the actualizing force and resource for user's self-realization by intellectual and personal excellence, individualizing, humanizing and personalizing education.

In this paper we present a guideline to evaluate how easy the use of personal robots is and how good their learning abilities are, based on the analysis of their built-in commands, user interfaces, and intelligences. Recently, we are living with robots that can be able to do lots of roles; cleaning, security, pets and education in real life. They can be classified as home robots, guide robots, service robots, robot pets, and so on. There we, however, no standards to evaluate their abilities, so it is not easy to select an appropriate robot when a user wants to buy it. Thus, we present, as a guideline that can be a standard for the evaluation of the personal robots, the standards by means of analyzing existing personal robots and results of the recent research works. We will, also, demonstrate how to apply the evaluation method to the cleaning robot as an example.

As port functions change to act as an economic catalyst and take on a central position in industries engaged in international trade, port hinterland has become a significant component in international shipping. The success of port hinterland as a strategic base of logistic activities critically depends on location selection factor for international distribution center that links elements of global supply chain management. By examining multi-measurement items empirically, this paper analyzed location selection factor for international logistics distribution center in port hinterland, and evaluated Busan new port hinterland from the user's perspective. Employing exploratory factor analysis, the results revealed that the model structured around five factors incorporating geo-location and accessibility, availability, political supports, cost factors, and quality of business environment is valid and reliable in the context of the location selection factors for logistics distribution center in the context of port hinterland operations. The evaluation of Busan new port hinterland provides useful insights for strategic improvement to accommodate the users' expectation. Further, the model offers both a descriptive and diagnostic strategic management tool for port hinterland development and operations, to guide future improvement.

As the augmented reality market has rapidly grown in recent years, various platform interfaces have emerged. In addition, it provides recommended travel information for each user based on a smartphone. Based on the recommended travel information, it provides the information of a tour path. Even though it is implemented in mobile devices and does not have continuous communication with servers, it needs new technologies that can provide additional entertainment services such as cultural and historical sites in corresponding regions while still providing guides depending on user movements

Computers and communication technologies have been brought tremendous change to various aspects of an ever-fast changing world at present. Particularly, the use of internet and cyberspace is widespread in every comer of our life. We developed a cyber shell museum using an animation technology. It was developed for educational purposes, and accessible through the world wide web of internet. Cyber shell museum is consisted of five compartment including rare shells, marvelous shells, shell of the world, the shell of Korea and its story of shells. The database contains the pictures and related information of the shell and it implies not only animation display but also text information. The files of database were classified depending on the species, genus, family, order, and class and division of the shell. Picture of shells is displayed and user may reach the image and virtual view information by clicking through the object displayed. This provides multiple techniques to user may manipulate, visualize and interact with image on the web. And every such transformation as translation, rotation, and scaling can be applied in the picture interactively for the convenient and effective viewing.

Background: Alcohol and tobacco use are two major behavioral risk factors implicated in increased morbidity and mortality. Since both substances are widely used in Korea, a concerted effort is currently underway to reduce the use of tobacco and alcohol in Korea. Objectives: Efforts directed toward preparing health promotion planners and health educators from local health departments to organize and implement community-wide interventions to reduce the proportion of people smoking and reduce the average level of alcohol consumption in the community. Methods: Comprehensive multi-media health promotion materials were developed based on health behavior theories and strategies. The materials were developed to introduce a user-oriented developmental approach by making messages more persuasive and organizing content in a user-friendly manner. Health educators from all local health departments in the country were trained in the use of the materials, to enable them to develop community interventions to reduce smoking and drinking. Implications for Practitioners: The process followed in developing the health intervention materials is described in detail to assist practitioners who need to develop effective programs to reduce the use of tobacco and alcohol. Sections of the report explain health intervention theories, specific program activities to include in an intervention, development, organization, evaluation, choosing a target audience, choosing goals of an intervention, and methods of making program content vivid and persuasive.

The Co-Gen System which maximize energy efficiency was installed at the industrial plants at the initial stage. However Small Scale Co-Gen System was expanded even to the general end-users such as housing and building owing to ESCO business recently. For this SSC, inter-connected operation to the utility is desirable due to voltage and frequency fluctuation following to unbalance between power output and load. Then voltage unbalance with utility system, frequency, increase of short circuit capacity, reclosing, and ALTS etc. should be fully considered for the inter-connected operation. Voltage variation, protection coordination, Co-Generators single running, and short circuit capacity should also be solved. For Con-Gen users, the several protection relays are recommended to install at the user's main incoming panel by the guide lines and/or instructions of the interconnected utility Then user's main CB(Circuit Breaker) have the chance to be tripped by some of this recommended relays and users have to undergo the unexpected blackout. So the circuit breaker trip schemes targeted to trip with these protection relays are reconsidered and the study result is hereunder proposed.

In this paper, we implemented smart mirrors that virtually select and experience eyeglasses and hair styles on user faces through face recognition and recommend weather-specific clothes to guide various styles. In addition, makeup is possible while watching the video while looking at the screen. Raspberry Pi, acrylic plate and half mirror film were used to reduce the cost of conventional smart mirrors. It also added basic information such as weather, dates, calendars, and news, and increased user convenience by using a touchscreen.

With the rapid progress of the aging society in Korea, the silver generation is emerging as another class of users in the new population structure. This is a social issue to be dealt with, and the effect of such a change is being observed dearly in the design area. In addition, there are increasing demands for consideration of minor groups of users including the elderly, the disabled, the left-handed, children and pregnant women and nursing mothers, who have been treated as the weak. Such a human-centered idea may be the manifestation of the recovery of humanity and the self-realization of human beings through experiences and reflections of the industrial society of the past. The present study examined the tendency of design standardization centering on universal design, which has emerged in response to user-centered social needs, and suggested general considerations for the necessity of introducing such standards. These days the meanings of standardization are not limited to quality, performance, safety and economic aspect. Standardization is required to consider the diversity and the welfare of human beings. In addition, one of the important functions of standardization is to provide designers with important clues and guidelines for designing. In reality, however, standardization has been rejected by the circle of design for the reason that it deters free creation, so research on the introduction of standardization has been at standstill. As ISO/IEC Guide71 was published in November 2001, based on which, the Korea Standards Association established KS A ISO/IEC Guide71 without changing its contents. In companies' manufacturing activities, the progress of standardization in connection to universal design is growing more important. However, usefulness and interchangeability for the absolute majority resulting from standardization are incomparable. Lastly, the realization of universal design requires human-centered design mind, based on users' experiences and needs, the characteristics of the human bodies and inconvenient elements rather than standards for the sake of standardization.
