협동적 필터링을 이용한 K-최근접 이웃 수강 과목 추천 시스템 (K-Nearest Neighbor Course Recommender System using Collaborative Filtering)

  • 협동적 필터링은 사용자가 좋아할 만한 항목을 예측하기 위하여 비슷한 선호도를 가지는 다른 사람들의 평가 항목에 근거하여 추천하는 방법이다. 이러한 협동적 필터링 기법은 오늘날과 같이 대규모의 정보가 효과적으로 축적되고 이용 가능하게 된 정보화된 사회에서는 현명한 의사결정을 하도록 도와주는 역할을 한다. 본 논문에서는 대학생들이 수강과목의 취사선택을 용이하게 할 수 있도록 수강과목 추천 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였으며 실험적으로 평가하였다. 먼저, 학생들은 과거 자신이 수강하였던 과목에 대한 과목 선호도를 데이터베이스에 입력한다. 과목 선호도의 패턴이 유사한 학생들은 유사 그룹으로 간주된다. 성향이 유사한 사용자를 찾기 위해 일반적으로 사용되고 있는 피어슨 상관계수에 의한 유사도를 이용하였다. 수강 과목을 예측하려는 학생과 가장 유사한 패턴을 보이는 K 명의 학생들의 수강 과목에서 가장 높은 선호도를 보이는 과목들의 순서화된 리스트를 추천 과목으로 제시한다. 설문 조사를 통한 실험 데이터를 이용하였으며 평균 절대 에러를 사용하여 제안한 방법의 정확도를 평가하였다.

IPA분석을 통한 VMS 제공 교통정보 콘텐츠 개선방안 (Improvement of VMS Traffic-information Contents Using Importance Preference Analysis)

  • 교통정보는 운전자들이 경로를 결정할 시 혹은 자신이 주행하는 경로에 대한 상황을 확인할 때, 흔히 사용된다. 이에 인터넷 포탈 등에서는 다양한 맞춤형 교통정보 콘텐츠를 제작하여 배포하고 있다. 그러나, 현재 공공(Public Sector)에서 구축해 운전자들에게 정보를 제공하고 있는 도로전광표지(Variable Message Signs, 이하 VMS)의 경우, 각 도로 및 교통상황에 따른 운전자의 선호행태에 대한 고려 없이 불특정 다수에게 동일한 콘텐츠를 일괄적으로 제공하고 있다. 달리 말하면, 서비스가 이용자에 대한 고려보다는 관리자의 편의에 따라 제공되고 있는 것이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 VMS에서 제공되는 교통정보 콘텐츠에 대한 구체적인 개선방안을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 설정하였다. 이를 위하여 교통정보가 이미 하나의 서비스상품으로 취급되고 있는 점에서 착안하여, 교통 분야에서는 널리 사용되지 않지만, 마케팅 분야에서는 쉽게 접할 수 있는 기법인 IPA(Importance Performance Analysis)분석방법론을 적용하였다. IPA분석을 통하여 교통정보 제공형태, 제공주기 등의 일반사항과 교통 콘텐츠 측면의 중요도와 선호도를 동시에 조사하여 세부적인 이용자 기반 VMS 개선방안을 도출하였다.

  • 차세대 IT융합기술의 발전에 따라 개인화 건강관리 서비스를 위한 인프라스트럭처가 구축되면서, 사용자의 선호도 기반 서비스의 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 만성질환자가 증가함에 따라 건강관리 서비스는 특정 질병의 치료 및 관리에서 서비스 대상자에 대한 식이영양 관리로 진화하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 건강관리를 위한 혼합 필터링을 이용한 개인화 식이영양 콘텐츠 추천을 제안하였다. 제안한 방법에서는 유사한 콘텐츠만을 제공하는 추천 특수화 경향을 개선하기 위해 협력적 필터링과 이미지 기반 필터링을 결합한 혼합 필터링을 사용한다. 이를 웹 어플리케이션으로 구축하여 논리적 타당성과 유효성을 검증하기 위해 실험적인 적용을 시도한다. 따라서 식이영양 콘텐츠를 추천하여 건강관리에 대한 만족도와 서비스의 질을 향상시켰다. 연구결과를 활용하면 시장성 증대와 고부가 가치를 창출할 수 있을 것으로 기대하며 다양한 응용분야에 활용이 가능하다.

파지 폭과 손 크기에 따른 각 손가락이 총 악력에 미치는 영향 분석 (Evaluation of Individual Finger Force to Grip Strength in Various Grip Spans and Hand Sizes)

  • In this study, six grip spans (45mm-65mm) were tested to evaluate the effects of handle grip span and user's hand size on maximum grip strength, individual finger force, and subjective ratings of comfort using a digital dynamometer with individual force sensors. Forty-six males were assigned into three hand size groups according to their hand lengths. Results showed that overall 55mm and 50mm grip spans were the most comfortable sizes and associated with the highest grip strength in the maximum grip force exertions, whereas 65mm grip span was rated as the least comfortable size as well as the lowest grip strength. In the interaction effect of grip span and hand size, small and middle hand sized participants rated the best preference and the least preference grip spans differently with large hand sized participants. With respect to the analysis of individual finger force, the middle finger force was the strongest and the highest contribution to the total finger force, followed by ring, index and little fingers. In addition, it was noted that each finger had a different optimal grip span for exerting maximum force resulting in a bowed contoured shaped handle for two-handle hand tools. Thus, the grip spans for two-handle hand tools might be designed according to the users' hand and finger anthropometrics to maximize performance and subjective perception of comfort.

초등학교 내 학교숲 기능에 관한 교사 - 학생간 인식 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study on Teacher-Student Perception of Forest Function in Elementary School)

  • With rapid economic growth, the urban environment has created a problem of human physical and mental illness. In order to solve these problems, urban forests have emerged as a way to mitigate the environmental risks through improving the polluted environment of the city and improve the quality of life. As the urban forests have expanded, the school forests movement has also been taking an important place recently. The study focused on the performance of school forests by comparing the perceptions among teachers and students about their functions. The questionnaire was composed of 4 questions concerning human matters, 10 questions for space recognition, 4 questions for thermal environment, 2 questions for health promotion, and 20 total questions for composition of survey items. The reliability of the school forest function, number of tree planting areas and quantities, the harmony of the planting, and the satisfaction of the school forest were analyzed in the questionnaire conducted by the school members. Although it does not recognize school forests, it has a positive response to the green space that is built outdoors. It is considered that outdoor education and environmental education are sufficient in school forests and green spaces. The results showed that the outdoor green space was more satisfactory when compared with the general school. Teachers and students' preferences were similar to 'seasonal changes' and' trees of various colors and shapes'. The reliability analysis between each item shows that the coefficient for cronbach's ${\alpha}$ was .700 to .834. The purpose of this study is to identify the perception of forest function among school forest members and to utilize them as a basic data in the future.

U-마켓에서의 사용자 정보보호를 위한 매장 추천방법 (A Store Recommendation Procedure in Ubiquitous Market for User Privacy)

  • Recently, as the information communication technology develops, the discussion regarding the ubiquitous environment is occurring in diverse perspectives. Ubiquitous environment is an environment that could transfer data through networks regardless of the physical space, virtual space, time or location. In order to realize the ubiquitous environment, the Pervasive Sensing technology that enables the recognition of users' data without the border between physical and virtual space is required. In addition, the latest and diversified technologies such as Context-Awareness technology are necessary to construct the context around the user by sharing the data accessed through the Pervasive Sensing technology and linkage technology that is to prevent information loss through the wired, wireless networking and database. Especially, Pervasive Sensing technology is taken as an essential technology that enables user oriented services by recognizing the needs of the users even before the users inquire. There are lots of characteristics of ubiquitous environment through the technologies mentioned above such as ubiquity, abundance of data, mutuality, high information density, individualization and customization. Among them, information density directs the accessible amount and quality of the information and it is stored in bulk with ensured quality through Pervasive Sensing technology. Using this, in the companies, the personalized contents(or information) providing became possible for a target customer. Most of all, there are an increasing number of researches with respect to recommender systems that provide what customers need even when the customers do not explicitly ask something for their needs. Recommender systems are well renowned for its affirmative effect that enlarges the selling opportunities and reduces the searching cost of customers since it finds and provides information according to the customers' traits and preference in advance, in a commerce environment. Recommender systems have proved its usability through several methodologies and experiments conducted upon many different fields from the mid-1990s. Most of the researches related with the recommender systems until now take the products or information of internet or mobile context as its object, but there is not enough research concerned with recommending adequate store to customers in a ubiquitous environment. It is possible to track customers' behaviors in a ubiquitous environment, the same way it is implemented in an online market space even when customers are purchasing in an offline marketplace. Unlike existing internet space, in ubiquitous environment, the interest toward the stores is increasing that provides information according to the traffic line of the customers. In other words, the same product can be purchased in several different stores and the preferred store can be different from the customers by personal preference such as traffic line between stores, location, atmosphere, quality, and price. Krulwich(1997) has developed Lifestyle Finder which recommends a product and a store by using the demographical information and purchasing information generated in the internet commerce. Also, Fano(1998) has created a Shopper's Eye which is an information proving system. The information regarding the closest store from the customers' present location is shown when the customer has sent a to-buy list, Sadeh(2003) developed MyCampus that recommends appropriate information and a store in accordance with the schedule saved in a customers' mobile. Moreover, Keegan and O'Hare(2004) came up with EasiShop that provides the suitable tore information including price, after service, and accessibility after analyzing the to-buy list and the current location of customers. However, Krulwich(1997) does not indicate the characteristics of physical space based on the online commerce context and Keegan and O'Hare(2004) only provides information about store related to a product, while Fano(1998) does not fully consider the relationship between the preference toward the stores and the store itself. The most recent research by Sedah(2003), experimented on campus by suggesting recommender systems that reflect situation and preference information besides the characteristics of the physical space. Yet, there is a potential problem since the researches are based on location and preference information of customers which is connected to the invasion of privacy. The primary beginning point of controversy is an invasion of privacy and individual information in a ubiquitous environment according to researches conducted by Al-Muhtadi(2002), Beresford and Stajano(2003), and Ren(2006). Additionally, individuals want to be left anonymous to protect their own personal information, mentioned in Srivastava(2000). Therefore, in this paper, we suggest a methodology to recommend stores in U-market on the basis of ubiquitous environment not using personal information in order to protect individual information and privacy. The main idea behind our suggested methodology is based on Feature Matrices model (FM model, Shahabi and Banaei-Kashani, 2003) that uses clusters of customers' similar transaction data, which is similar to the Collaborative Filtering. However unlike Collaborative Filtering, this methodology overcomes the problems of personal information and privacy since it is not aware of the customer, exactly who they are, The methodology is compared with single trait model(vector model) such as visitor logs, while looking at the actual improvements of the recommendation when the context information is used. It is not easy to find real U-market data, so we experimented with factual data from a real department store with context information. The recommendation procedure of U-market proposed in this paper is divided into four major phases. First phase is collecting and preprocessing data for analysis of shopping patterns of customers. The traits of shopping patterns are expressed as feature matrices of N dimension. On second phase, the similar shopping patterns are grouped into clusters and the representative pattern of each cluster is derived. The distance between shopping patterns is calculated by Projected Pure Euclidean Distance (Shahabi and Banaei-Kashani, 2003). Third phase finds a representative pattern that is similar to a target customer, and at the same time, the shopping information of the customer is traced and saved dynamically. Fourth, the next store is recommended based on the physical distance between stores of representative patterns and the present location of target customer. In this research, we have evaluated the accuracy of recommendation method based on a factual data derived from a department store. There are technological difficulties of tracking on a real-time basis so we extracted purchasing related information and we added on context information on each transaction. As a result, recommendation based on FM model that applies purchasing and context information is more stable and accurate compared to that of vector model. Additionally, we could find more precise recommendation result as more shopping information is accumulated. Realistically, because of the limitation of ubiquitous environment realization, we were not able to reflect on all different kinds of context but more explicit analysis is expected to be attainable in the future after practical system is embodied.

  • 본 논문은 웹을 멀티미디어시대의 쌍방향 마케팅 미디어로서 재인식하고, 웹에서 감성디자인이 브랜든 태도에 미치는 긍정적 효과를 검증하고자 하였으며, 사용자의 감성에 호소하는 영향요인을 분석하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 1차. 2차의 사용자 조사를 중심으로 진행되었으며, 웹에서의 감성디자인에 대한 기초연구로써 사용자가 웹에서 느낄 수 있는 감성을 감성공학에서의 감성분류와 선행논문에서의 사용자 인터랙션 분류에 기초하여 기능적. 심리적. 감각적. 관계적. 문화적 감성 5가지로 그 유형을 정리하였다. 이중 디자인과 관련이 있는 기능적. 감각적. 심리적 감성요인을 만족시키는 감성디자인이 브랜드태도에 미치는 효과를 검증하기 위하여 1차로 국내 7개 패스트푸드 사이트를 대상으로 온라인 조사를 실시하였다. 1차 조사에서는 웹사이트에서 사용자 감성만족이 \circled1브랜드 선호도와 신뢰도 상승과 \circled2브랜드 이미지 제고 \circled3구매욕구 발생에 직접적인 영향요인으로 작용하는가를 중점적으로 조사하였다. 이 조사의 분석결과를 토대로 2차 조사(FGI)를 실시하였으며, 사용자 심층 인터뷰를 통해 \circled1사용자가 패스트푸드 사이트에서 원하는 주요 감성 \circled2 사용자가 강한 감성적 어필을 느끼는 디자인유형 \circled3감각적 감성에 영향을 미치는 디자인요소에 등에 대해 분석하였다.

추천 시스템을 위한 2-way 협동적 필터링 방법을 이용한 예측 알고리즘 (A Predictive Algorithm using 2-way Collaborative Filtering for Recommender Systems)

  • 최근 전자상거래에서 대부분의 개인화 된 추천 시스템들은 고객의 취향에 맞는 적절한 상품을 추천하기 위하여 협동적 필터링 기술을 적용하고 있다. 사용자 기반 협동적 필터링은 특정 고객의 선호도와 가장 유사한 선호도를 가지는 고객 그룹의 선호도를 바탕으로 그 고객의 특정 상품에 대한 선호도를 예측하는 기법이다. 그러나 이 방법은 두 고객이 모두 평가를 한 상품이 있어야 하고 오직 두 고객 사이에서만 상관 관계를 구할 수 있으므로 예측의 정확성이 떨어질 가능성이 있다. 아이템 기반 협동적 필터링은 고객이 선호도를 입력한 기존의 상품들과 예측하고자 하는 상품의 상관 관계를 계산하여 선호도를 예측한다. 이 방법에서는 상품들간의 유사도를 계산하기 위하여 두 상품에 대해 선호도를 입력한 고객들의 정보를 사용한다. 그러나 고객들간의 유사도가 전혀 고려되지 않기 때문에 만약 특정 고객과 전혀 선호도가 비슷하지 않은 사용자들의 평가를 기반으로 한다면, 상품들간의 유사도가 정확 하지 않고 아울러 추천 시스템의 예측 능력과 추천 능력이 저하되는 문제점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 아이템 기반 협동적 필터링 기술의 문제점을 보완하고 추천 시스템의 예측 능력을 향상시키기 위하여 유사한 선호도를 가지는 고객들의 평가에 근거하여 상품들간의 유사도를 구하여 특정 상품에 대한 고객의 선호도를 예측하여 추천해 주는 기법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 방법의 성능을 기존의 여러 다른 협동적 필터링 방법들과의 비교실험을 통해 평가하였다. 실험 결과 본 논문에서 제안한 방법이 기존의 다른 방법들보다 우수함을 확인할 수 있었다.

과천시 도서관의 효과적인 운영 방안 수립을 위한 이용자 인식조사 연구 (A Study on User Perception Survey for Establishing Effective Operational Strategies of the Gwacheon City Library)

  • 본 연구는 과천시 지식정보타운에 건립될 도서관의 운영을 위한 체계적이고 종합적인 계획을 수립하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 과천시 공공도서관 이용자들을 대상으로 도서관 운영 요구도 조사를 실시하고, 설문 결과를 바탕으로 도서관 장서 구축 계획, 이용자 서비스 및 이용활성화 방안을 수립하고자 하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 도서관은 누구나 이용할 수 있는 복합문화공간이자 이용자의 휴식공간 등으로 활용되도록 공간을 구성해야 하며, 일정 수준 이상의 소음을 허용하여 자유로운 정보 소통 및 커뮤니케이션 공간 등으로 제공되어야 한다. 둘째, 선호하는 장서의 형태와 종류(유형) 등에 대해 분석한 결과, 1순위 인쇄자료, 2순위 웹자료, 3순위 전자책/전자저널 등의 순으로 나타났으며, 도서 주제는 문학, 역사 등에 대한 선호도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 문화예술프로그램에 대한 선호도가 높게 나타나, 향후 과천지식정보타운 도서관이 문화예술을 주제로 한 프로그램을 강화하여 운영할 필요가 있을 것으로 파악하였다.

온라인 구전정보 수용자의 지각된 정보유용성과 자기효능감이 구전정보 수용의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구: 의견고수와 구전수용의 비교 (Investigating the Influence of Perceived Usefulness and Self-Efficacy on Online WOM Adoption Based on Cognitive Dissonance Theory: Stick to Your Own Preference VS. Follow What Others Said)

  • New internet technologies have created a revolutionary new platform which allows consumers to make decision about product price and quality quickly and provides information about themselves through the transcript of online reviews. By expressing their feelings toward products or services on virtual opinion platforms, users extend their influence into cyberspace as electronic word-of-mouth (e-WOM). Existing research indicates that an impact of eWOM on the consumer decision process is influential. For both academic researchers and practitioners, investigating this phenomenon of information sharing in online website is essential given the increasing number of consumers using them as sources of purchase decisions. It is worthwhile to examine the extent to which opinion seekers are willing to accept and adopt online reviews and which factors encourage adoption. Discerning the most motivating aspects of information adoption in particular, could help electronic marketers better promote their brand and presence on the internet. The objectives of this study are to investigate how online WOM influences a persons' purchase decision by discovering which factors encourage information adoption. Especially focused on the self-efficacy, this research investigates how self-efficacy affects on information usefulness and adoption of online information. Although people are exposed to same review or comment about product or service, some accept the reviews while others do not. We notice that accepting online reviews mainly depends on the person's preference or personal characteristics. This study empirically examines this issue by using cognitive dissonance theory. Specifically, in the movie industry, we address few questions-is always positive WOM generating positive effect? What if the movie isn't the person's favorite genre? What if the person who is very self-assertive so doesn't take other's opinion easily? In these cases of cognitive dissonance, is always WOM generating same result? While many studies have focused on one direct of WOM which indicates positive (or negative) informative reviews or comments generate positive (or negative) results and more (or less) profits, this study investigates not only directional properties of WOM but also how people change their opinion towards product or service positive to negative, negative to positive through the online WOM. An experiment was conducted quantitatively by using a sample of 168 users who have experience within the online movie review site, 'Naver Movie'. Users were required to complete a survey regarding reviews and comments taken from the real movie page. The data reflected user's perceptions of online WOM information that determined users' adoption level. Analysis results provide empirical support for the proposed theoretical perspective. When user can't agree with the opinion of online WOM information, in other words, when cognitive dissonance between online WOM information and users' preference occurs, perceived self-efficacy significantly decreases customers' perception of usefulness. And this perception of usefulness plays an important role in determining users' intention to adopt online WOM information. Most of researches have been concentrated on characteristics of online WOM itself such as quality or vividness of information, credibility of source and direction of online WOM, etc. for describing effect of online WOM, but our results suggest that users' personal character (e.g., self-efficacy) plays decisive role for acceptance of online WOM information. Higher self-efficacy means lower possibility to accept the information that represents counter opinion because of cognitive dissonance, whereas the people that have lower self-efficacy are willing to accept the online WOM information as true and refer to purchase decision. This study suggests a model for understanding role of direction of online WOM information. Also, our result implicates the importance of online review supervision and personalized information service by confirming switching opinion negative to positive is more difficult than positive to negative through the online WOM information. This implication would help marketers to manage online reviews of their products or services.
