  • The development of information technology has promoted organizational transformation through the utilization of an electronic information system. This research aimed to identify factors that influence continuous intention to use E-HRM. This empirical research applies the Technology Acceptance Model and Cognitive Model for identifying significantly impacted areas of continuous intention to use E-HRM in a highly dynamic environment. The data were collected using questionnaires delivered directly to respondents. The sample was 100 employees of ESQ Group selected through random sampling. The variables used were subjective norms (X1), perceived behavioral control (X2), perceived innovativeness (Y1), cognitive absorption (Y2), satisfaction (Y3), and continuous intention to use E-HRM (Y4). Statistical analysis using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with Smart PLS was applied. The results revealed that behavioral control (X2) did not influence the continuous intention to use E-HRM (Y4) and that cognitive absorption (Y2) and satisfaction (Y3) did not significantly influence continuous intention to use E-HRM (Y4). Subjective norms (X1) significantly influenced both perceived innovativeness (Y1) and continuous intention to use E-HRM (Y4), perceived behavioral control (X2) significantly influenced both perceived innovativeness (Y1) and cognitive absorption (Y2), and perceived innovativeness (Y1) significantly influenced both satisfaction (Y3) and continuous intention to use E-HRM (Y4).

  • This study explores the major factors that are likely to affect the acceptance and resistance of innovative products and services. The TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) has been widely used for understanding consumer acceptance of new technology. This model displays perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use as antecedents of intention to adopt and use. However, research has reported a variety of preceding variables for technology acceptance. In addition, considering paradoxes of technology, research regarding both acceptance and resistance in an integrated model can explain consumer perception and behavior in detail. The results of this study states that relative benefits, degree of innovation in technology, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use have had positive influence on the intention to adopt but negative impact on that of resistance. However, alterations of usage and perceived risk positively affects resistance, but also have negative effects on the intention to adopt. Finally, intention to adopt has comparatively greater influence than that of resistance on intention to use. Theoretical and managerial implications of the results are also discussed.

  • The primary aim of this study was to examine how various factors influence university students' intention to use ChatGPT for educational purposes and to analyze the structural relationships between these factors. Specifically, the study investigated Social Mood and Self-Efficacy as exogenous variables, while considering Confirmation, Task Technology Fit, and Satisfaction as mediating variables, and Intention to Use as the dependent variable. Data were collected from 261 students at two universities in the Seoul metropolitan area of South Korea, and structural equation modeling was employed to analyze the impact of each variable on the Intention to Use and the interrelationships among the variables. The study found that ChatGPT partially meets the educational expectations of Korean university students. It was observed that Confirmation, which is influenced by Social Mood and Self-Efficacy, significantly affects the intention to use ChatGPT. Additionally, Satisfaction has a direct and significant influence on students' intention to use ChatGPT, indicating that the level of satisfaction with ChatGPT plays a crucial role in their continued usage. Moreover, Social Mood and Self-Efficacy were found to indirectly influence the intention to use ChatGPT through mediators such as Confirmation, Task Technology Fit, and Satisfaction. These findings highlight the complex interplay between these variables and their impact on students' usage of ChatGPT, providing valuable insights into the factors that drive its educational use.

  • Why does e-Learning service for individuals remain in the early development stage? To find the answers of this question, we adopted usefulness and intention to continued use as dependent variables based on technology acceptance model and inferred convenience, cost-effectiveness, social presence, interactivity, concentration, and procrastination as independent variables based on literature review and interview with e-Learning users. Convenience and cost-effectiveness of e-Learning tend to enhance usefulness and/or intention to continued use, while lack of social presence, interactivity, and concentration of e-Learning and academic procrastination tend to hinder usefulness and/or intention to continued use. To prove this research model, we used a data set collected from the survey. The respondents of survey were the undergraduate students who used voluntarily e-Learning. Data analysis was conducted using 275 respondents by partial least square. The analysis result of causal relation indicated that convenience and cost-effectiveness influenced both usefulness and intention to continued use, and that cost-effectiveness and concentration influenced only intention to continued use. But, interactivity and procrastination did not influence usefulness and intention to continued use.
