Purpose - This study reviews Cameroon's economic growth, crisis, and recovery, aiming to: review the principal factors of Cameroon's real economic growth; explore the causes of its economic crisis analyze the determinants of its economic recovery; and suggest appropriate policies to ameliorate economic growth. Research design, data, and methodology - By reviewing the relevant literature and economic indicators, we observed that from the 1980s to the present, Cameroon experienced all the possible business cycle phases: economic prosperity (until 1985), economic and social crisis (1986-1994), and renewed economic growth (after 1995). Results - As a result of the economic changes in Cameroon, its macroeconomic indicators have evolved. Poverty and inequality have changed in both quantitative and qualitative terms. Throughout the examined period, rural poverty has become more widespread, deeper, and more severe than urban poverty, while inequality has experienced greater increases in urban areas relative to rural zones. Conclusions -To reap maximum benefits and reduce poverty from these economic changes, Cameroon needs to liberalize trade and foreign exchange transactions to attract foreign investment, especially during the current globalization.
The seamless integration of the architecture and structure of a tall building plays a key role in establishing a recognizable and iconic design. The structural system developed for Shenzhen Rural Commercial Bank Headquarters (SRCBH) utilizes enhanced structural innovations unique to the tower's geometry to improve structural and sustainability performance. SRCBH utilizes a steel diagrid system pulled outside of the enclosure line with diaphragm forces resolved primarily by corner diagonal beams. During the design process the structural systems underwent performance based design and optimization for wind and seismic loading. Resiliency was prioritized for structural design as well as fire resistance. More closely integrating the structure of a building with its architecture and sustainability goals can lead to unique and innovative towers with a timeless expression.
This study was to and out contemporary space design trends of rural houses in So-yang Munhwa village by analyzing their floor plan shapes and space relations & elements of floor plans. There were built 71 houses in that village but it were possible to collect housing data, floor plans & general building records of 41 houses, from house register. By analyzing those data, findings were as follows : 1) Floor plan shapes of rural houses had a tendency to be diverse, various form of 'ㅋ' than simple form of 'ㅡ'. 2) Room-Living-Room, 3 bay arrangement was very strong trends, and traditional planning characteristics that the openness of living space was keeping. 3) Anbang(master bedroom) and living space were important, so two spaces were set forth of floor plan and Anbang with a bathroom were often showed. 4) DK space and its relation to other spaces were important factor to classily 2 floor plan types of them. 5) DK(dining kitchen) space had an openness from back entrance and DK were separated from public spaces L.D.K. Utility or balcony/veranda spaces as a support space of kitchen were planned in rural houses, and they were influenced from apartment houses or urban houses.

This study comparatively analyzes the characteristics, changes, and differences in class-based costume typology according to a concept of $17^{th}$ and $18^{th}$ century common people in France. The methods and contents are as follow. First, the scope of common people is grasped according to the historical background and a concept of $17^{th}$ and $18^{th}$ century common people in France. Second, through considering a prior research on analyzing the data of ancient documents on the economy of clothing, it classifies common people into bourgeoisie, urban common people, rural common people, and the destitute. It then examines diachronic evolution, and class-based synchronic difference in the consumption of $17^{th}$ and $18^{th}$ century common people's costumes in France. Third, it analyzes the appearance frequency by period according to type of common people's costumes, which were shown in pictorial materials with 283 sheets of engravings and 54 pieces of paintings; in addition, it reconstructs the succession and expansion in typology. It grasps differences and changes in morphology by class, space, and period of typology for common people's costumes. Common people's consumption of costumes was understood to have grown in qualitative aspects as well as a rise in the whole clothing demand. A class-based structure formed and indicated that a fashion cycle existed. As a result of analyzing common people's clothes (shown in pictorial materials of the $17^{th}$ and $18^{th}$ century) 41 items were grasped by gender and according to costume kind. Typology in common people's costumes (classified into bourgeoisie, urban common people, rural common people, and the destitute) showed a change by period. A change in typical costume typology was accepted more by the bourgeoisie than by urban and rural common people, and was accepted more by rural communities than by urban populations. Thus, a difference was formed through an expansion with a temporal difference that depended on class and space.
This paper performed a basic study for the development of so called a Korean style community garden, a Kleingarten in Japan, according to the increase of demand for green tourism For this, theoretical research and interviews with site surveys for Kleingarten in Japan were carried out and some strategic conclusions were drawn. The results show that, from the perspective of hardware, facilities and size should be setup according to the condition in Korea and long-tenn demands for green tourism Adequate size of lodging facility, a cottage, should accompany the garden. More attention should be paid for the management of Kleingarten. In addition, from the perspective of software, Administration should make an effort to obtain the understanding and cooperation from the local residents. It turns out that a Kleingarten takes an important role when urban residents move into rural areas or carry out a multi-habitation. Barrier-free design for cottages is also needed.

The roles and needs for the greentourism facilities require the associated functions and systems which can be determined from considering the existing successful facilities. Some of successful examples for the greentourism facilities in Japan have been investigated, and their functions and systems carefully examined. This paper is intended to provide a meaningful step for introducing and applying the functions and systems for the greentourism facilities in Japan to Korea. The facilities should support the greentourism that leads to the active cultural exchange between urban and rural areas. The required specific facilities are discussed in this paper. For newly developed facilities, restaurants, specialty stores, and hotels may be effective facilities for the greentourism. The design for the entire greentourism facilities should consider, for the development of the area, the several kinds of required functions of the greentourism, such as the travel guide center, the marketing center, the information center, the business center, the human resources center, and the environment conservation center.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze image factors of places located in natural and humanistically superior geographical locations. It aims to analyze image recognition and spatiality of scenically historical Sahmyook University, located northeast of Gangneung, through standardization. Method: The analysis method of landscape is composed of data investigation and research, and elements of how students, faculty, and visitors recognize a place's beautiful image will be examined. Result: A phenomenological approach was applied to how the images of beautiful place were set by FGI group meeting, and how such factors affect beautiful place's perception from the user's point of view. When looking at comprehensive ranking of image factors in recognition of beautiful landscapes, factors corresponding to forest landscapes appear at the top rank. In determining factors for its recognition, shared space with natural elements such as water, trees, flowers, etc. has been analyzed to have the biggest influence. Among factors corresponding to urban landscape, 'streets and pedestrian paths' is of medium importance and are recognized for it is artificial structure coexisting with natural elements shared with humans. The image corresponding to 'city area' and 'architecture' was analyzed to have insignificant influence on beautiful places' image recognition for artificial element was prioritized.
The purpose of this study was to resolve the issues of inferior housing environment and the population decrease in rural community by improving the environment and attracting urban inhabitants. A simulation on the costs and the local programs was operated from a point of view that Pension Insurance House with Long-term Lease and a plan for the program in connection with local resources should be accompanied to attract urban inhabitants. The study was carried out through mainly documents analysis and specialists' opinions. The simulation results are as follows. Firstly, the pre-existing rural housing development projects have only emphasized the hardware, while underestimated the post-management with operating programs. The software should be underlined when Pension Insurance House is developed. Secondly, as a result of the simulation on construction expenditure and the operating and maintenance cost for 30 years, about 82.3 million Wons are necessary residential expenses for 15 years per unit. Thirdly, in case of MUJU County, it has made the most of its pre-existing institutions. It's medical institutions provide medical care system with health education, facilities related leisure and culture offer recreational programs and the local community center and its program of each town helps new habitants adopt to the rural life. Additionally, the employment project of a local welfare center allow people living in a rural community to continue their careers with their talents and interests through local class programs for a life worth living. Lastly, guide for getting information of rural life, local community gathering and preliminary education should be carried out to reduce expectant tenants' incompatibility and assist them settle down early. Recently climate change and urbananization have been increased surface runoff, resulting in flooding. Retention basins have been constructed to control urban flooding by reducing peak flow rate. Recently, the retention basin plays a role in controlling combined sewer overflows (CSOs) as well as urban flooding. In this study, the retention basin with a rotatable bucket was suggested and scale down experiments was performed for the optimum design of the retention basin. Scaled down model was produced using a 3D printer after it was designed as law of similarity. Two times for operating a rotary bucket is required to sweep out the sediments deposited on the bottom of the basin. Optimized dimensions for the retention basin were width of 5 m, height of 5 m, bucket radius of 0.5 m, and bottom slope of 5.0 %. It can be concluded that the results obtained from this study can be used to design the retention basin with a rotatable bucket which does not require energy to operate.

This study is on the formation and the development process of urban space by referring to the literature in Yeosu where is the important location in logistics & transportation and maritime since the Japanese colonial period. There are many factors and results of the development process in Yeosu by the opening port, railroads, loads and industries. The purpose of this study is to understand the characteristics of the formation process of urban space and the characteristics of physical space in Yeosu. The results are as follow; The urban formation and development process in Yeosu where was a small fishing village in the 1910s is largely divided into four processes. Formation: the population increased due to constructions such as of a railroad, a port, and roads and there were many reclamations around the center of the old city center in the Japanese colonial period. Stagnation: There was no urban development due to stagnation, war, and the Yeo-sun Incident. Expand: the industrialization of the Yeocheon Industrial Complex and Gwangyang Steel and other areas around Yeosu led to a surge in Yeosu's population. To cope with this, the city was expanded through three land readjustment projects and the development of large-scale residential complexes. Decline and Remodeling: Yeosu's urban space declined due to the decline of fisheries and the decrease in marine and railway logistics. And the expansion and improvement of the transportation network for hosting the Yeosu World Expo increased the accessibility of the old city center, transforming it into a tourist city using cultural heritage and nature.
