개정 TBM 터널 표준시방서 해설 연구 (A manual for the revised TBM tunnel specification)

  • 국내의 장대터널 및 도심지내 터널시공과 시공계획이 증가함에 따라 터널굴착기술의 개발이 요구되고 있다. 국내의 터널 굴착방법으로 drilling & blasitng method가 주로 쓰이고 있는 실정이나 이 공법은 극심한 발파진동으로 현장주민의 민원과 인근 암반구조물에 피해를 입히는 단점이있다. 따라서 문제발생예측 지역에는 무발파 굴착공법인 TBM터널링을 사용하는 것이 효율적이다. 하지만 TBM 터널링은 drilling & blasitng method와 비교하였을 때 비경제적이므로 현장에서 꺼리는 실정이다. 이러한 한계를 극복하기 위하여 다양한 TBM 장비 및 시공기술이 요구된다. 또한 관련된 기술의 기준이 될 수 있는 시방서 및 설계기준의 지속적인 개정도 필요한 상황이다. 본 연구에서는 2015년 고시된 터널표준시방서내 TBM에 대한 개정 내용 및 관련 해설에 대한 내용을 다루고 있다.

Characterization of face stability of shield tunnel excavated in sand-clay mixed ground through transparent soil models

  • The construction of shield tunnelling in urban sites is facing serious risks from complex and changeable underground conditions. Construction problems in the sand-clay mixed ground have been more reported in recent decades for its poor control of soil loss in tunnel face, ground settlement and supporting pressure. Since the limitations of observation methods, the conventional physical modelling experiments normally simplify the tunnelling to a plane strain situation whose results are not reliable in mixed ground cases which exhibit more complicated responses. We propose a new method for the study of the mixed ground tunnel through which mixed lays are simulated with transparent soil surrogates exhibiting different mechanical properties. An experimental framework for the transparent soil modelling of the mixed ground tunnel was established incorporated with the self-developed digital image correlation system (PhotoInfor). To understand better the response of face stability, ground deformation, settlement and supporting phenomenon to tunnelling excavation in the sand-clay mixed ground, a series of case studies were carried out comparing the results from cases subjected to different buried depths and mixed phenomenon. The results indicate that the deformation mode, settlement and supporting phenomenon vary with the mixed phenomenon and buried depth. Moreover, a stratigraphic effect exists that the ground movement around mixed face reveals a notable difference.

도심지에서 효율적인 무도갱 2-Arch 터널의 설계사례 (A case study on efficient non pilot 2-Arch Tunnel in the urban)

  • Due to increase in urban tunnelling as urban population and traffic volume increase, problems related with site security and civil appeal also increase. This paper presents a comparative analysis between conventional 2-arch tunnel method and non-pilot 2 arch tunnel method, which were performed in the basic design of Wie-Rae region. According to the analysis results, non-pilot 2-arch tunnel method is more efficient in terms of stability, constructability, and economic aspect. It is authors' wish that design procedure and method presented in this paper could help the design and construction of non-pilot 2-arch tunnel that should be planned in the near future.

터널 붕괴사례로 부터의 기술적 교훈 (Technical lessons learnt from the case history of tunnel collapses)

  • In this study, a database composed by 46 cases of tunnel collapses has been built up. Based on the database, comprehensive data analysis is carried out, providing us a number of the technical lessons, which can be considered in future design and construction to minimize possibility of tunnel collapse disaster. For making a better understanding, the technical lessons are given in two divisions: mountain tunnel and urban tunnel. Tunnel collapses taking place in the former tunnel are generally due to bad discontinuity condition of jointed rock mass. Otherwise, urban tunnel has weak condition generally on ground water and weathering of ground. Most of technical comments given in this paper are made based on the cases of tunnel collapses only used in this study, so that the comments seems to be hard to be available to all the tunnelling cases. However, the comment should be valuable technical lessons for tunnel engineers to consider in tunnel design or construction.

  • Recently, the construction of road, subway, railroad, and microtunnel for electricity supplement have been increased because of increasement of traffic in urban area, increasement of industrial transportation, and the network between cities in Korea. The deterioration of tunnel structure may occur by various internal and external factors and particularly, tunnel structures tend to contact with either underground water or harmful ions. Therefore, leakage sometimes occurred through the cracks and joints of concrete lining. The leakage in tunnel may affect the durability of concrete lining. In this study, to evaluate the durability and deterioration of concrete lining in tunnel structures, we were performed the various experiments for compressive strength. Compressive strength obtained from nondestructive inspection and compressive strength test varies according to the concrete lining conditions.

  • Ground movements are inevitably caused by tunnel construction in soft ground. In the design and construction of tunnels in urban areas, the potential effects of buried pipelines by ground movements are one of the important design cosiderations. Generally, the most common modes of failure of buried pipelines due to ground movements are tensile fracture of main pipelines, rotation angle and pull-out displacement at joints. In the parametric study, a wide range of conditions were considered, including tunnel diameter(D), tunnel depth(Z$\sub$0/), volume loss(V$\sub$ι/) and inflection point(i). Based on this results, design charts, which are applicable to assess potential damage of buried pipelines associated ground movements due to tunnelling, are developed.

  • New construction for public transport in congested urban areas will involve tunnel construction adjacent to existing building or bridge foundations and services due to the lack of surface space. Therefore, careful assessment of the important underground structure-soil-tunnelling interaction is relatively new, currently only limited information is available. In this study, the authors carried out FE analysis and the laboratory model test using the photogrammetric technique and suggested the influence zones associated with the normalised pile tip settlement during new tunnel construction.

  • the Effect of steel pipe reinforced multi-step grouting(SPRG) technique to inrove the ground far ahead of the excavation face was investigated by means of numerical analysis. It was found taht the nonlinear 3-D FEM program performed well to evaluate the usefulness of the SPRG technique in soft ground tunnelling, and about 20% of settlement control in this particular case possible. Therefore in urban subway tunnel construction, the New Austirial Tunnelling Method can be satisfactorily applied even in poor ground conditon with aid of the SPRG technique.

도심지 개착식 굴착공사 붕괴사고 및 도로함몰 저감을 위한 우선 관리 요소 결정 (Determination of priorities for management to reduce collapse accident of open excavation and road sink in urban areas)

  • 도심지 개착식 굴착공사 중 발생하는 붕괴사고는 공사장 내에서의 인명 및 물질적 피해를 불러일으킬 뿐만 아니라, 공사장 주변의 지반침하로 인한 도로함몰 및 시설물 피해를 유발한다. 따라서, 도심지에서 개착식 굴착공사를 수행함에 있어서, 계획, 설계 및 시공의 건설 전체 단계에서 굴착공사 붕괴 방지를 위한 철저한 대비가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 개착식 굴착공사 중 붕괴사고 예방을 위해, 중점적으로 관리되어야 할 우선 요소 결정 연구를 수행하였다. 먼저, 과거 흙막이 굴착공사의 사고사례 조사결과를 분석하고, 전문가 합의에 의한 의사결정 방법인 델파이 기법을 이용하여 붕괴 유발 요소에 대한 중요도를 산정하였다. 그 결과, 지하수 처리, 지반조사의 부실, 시공상의 불안정 등이 흙막이 공사 붕괴 예방을 위한 중점 관리 요소로 도출되었다.

계층의사분석 기법을 적용한 도심지 공동구 타당성 평가모델 연구 (A study on the feasibility assessment model of urban utility tunnel by analytic hierarchy process)

  • 국내 대도시의 도심은 인구, 상업, 교통 등의 집중도가 높으므로 공동구 도입에 따른 기대효과가 높고 생애주기비용을 고려한 경제적 타당성을 충분히 확보하고 있다. 더욱이 지하철, 복합환승센터 등과 같은 대규모 지하공간 개발에 포함하여 설치할 경우 초기 건설비용을 획기적으로 줄일 수 있으나 실제 지하개발 계획에 구체적으로 반영되지 못하고 있다. 국내에서 도심지 공동구를 새로이 계획할 경우 기존 Life-Line의 이설비용, 수용 기관별 의견충돌, 건설재원 조달 및 분담 등의 어려움이 예상되며 더욱이 모든 수용기관과 사업시행자로 구성된 공동구 협의회에서 합의를 도출해야만 사업추진이 가능하기 때문에 경제성 분석과 더불어 타당성 평가 시스템을 통한 합리적 의사결정 과정을 통해서 최적 대안이 제시되어야만 원활한 사업추진이 가능하다. 그러므로 도심지 유형별 특성을 고려해서 평가지표와 의사결정 계층구조를 재구성하고 계층의사분석(AHP) 기법을 적용해서 항목별 중요도를 정량화함으로써 타당성 평가시스템을 이용한 합리적인 설계용량 최적화를 지원할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
