연안 도시 대기오염 물질의 농도분포 특성 (Characteristics of Concentration Distribution of Coastal Urban Air Pollutants)

  • This paper aims to find the characteristics of concentration distribution of coastal urban air pollutants. For this purpose, It was used the daily meteorological data and the hourly concentration data for $O_3$and NO$_2$ in Busan metropolitan city from 1994 to 1996. It was investigated the annual and monthly distribution of ozone and nitrogen dioxide concentration at each site in Busan, and also investigated the characteristics of concentration change of air pollutants with time under the sea breeze. As a results, the concentration of nitrogen dioxide and ozone tend to be increased every year and nitrogen dioxide concentration is higher than ozone concentration at all sites in Busan. The concentration of ozone is high in summer season and low in winter season, but the concentration of nitrogen dioxide have a reversed trend. The monthly peak concentration of ozone occurred in April and September, while the monthly minimum concentration of nitrogen dioxide occurred in August. Their trend were identified by sites near the coastline than sites stands apart from the coastline. The sea breeze occurred annual mean 81 day in Busan from 1994 to 1996. The main wind direction of sea breeze was classified into southwesterly and southeasterly. In case of southwesterly, It was pronounced the south wind and southwest wind. In case of southeasterly, the occurrence frequency of east wind was high. Especially, the concentrations of urban air pollutants, such as ozone and nitrogen dioxide, were high on time which the sea breeze flow, and the areas that ozone concentration was high moved from outside part to central part of city with time. In costal urban such as Busan, the wind direction of sea breeze is influenced the change of ozone and nitrogen dioxide concentration on time which the sea breeze flow at each site and also influenced the change of air pollutants concentration of sites on the pathway of sea breeze.

Characteristics of long-range transported PM2.5 at a coastal city using the single particle aerosol mass spectrometry

  • Air pollution has attracted ever-increasing attention because of its substantial influence on air quality and human health. To better understand the characteristics of long-range transported pollution, the single particle chemical composition and size were investigated by the single particle aerosol mass spectrometry in Fuzhou, China from 17th to 22nd January, 2016. The results showed that the haze was mainly caused by the transport of cold air mass under higher wind speed (10 m·s-1) from the Yangtze River Delta region to Fuzhou. The number concentration elevated from 1,000 to 4,500 #·h-1, and the composition of mobile source and secondary aerosol increased from 24.3% to 30.9% and from 16.0% to 22.5%, respectively. Then, the haze was eliminated by the clean air mass from the sea as indicated by a sharp decrease of particle number concentration from 4,500 to 1,000 #·h-1. The composition of secondary aerosol and mobile sources decreased from 29.3% to 23.5% and from 30.9% to 23.1%, respectively. The particles with the size ranging from 0.5 to 1.5 ㎛ were mainly in the accumulation mode. The stationary source, mobile source, and secondary aerosol contributed to over 70% of the potential sources. These results will help to understand the physical and chemical characteristics of long- range transported pollutants.

국내 도심항공모빌리티(UAM) 조종사 교육·훈련제도 수립 방안 연구 (A Study on the Establishment of Education and Training Program for Urban Air Mobility(UAM) Pilot in Korea)

  • 급격한 도시화는 전 세계적으로 도시화가 빠르게 진행되면서 교통 혼잡 및 환경오염, 소음 공해 등의 도시문제가 대두하고 있으며, 이러한 도시 집중화 현상으로 시간 낭비와 이로 인한 경제적 손실이 발생하고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위한 도심 항공 모빌리티(UAM; Urban Air Mobility)는 3차원 미래형 도시 교통수단으로, 도로·철도·개인교통수단과 연계한(Seamless) 교통서비스(MaaS; Mobility as a Service)로 스마트시티의 중요한 교통축으로 자리 잡을 전망이다. 그러나 2023년 7월 현재, UAM 운용을 위한 공역체계, 버티포트 설계, 항법, 통신 등과 관련된 연구는 활발히 이루어지고 있으나, 조종사 교육·훈련에 대한 개념 정립, 교육·훈련 프로그램에 대한 연구는 거의 이루어지고 있지 않은 것이 현실이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 미국과 유럽의 수직이·착륙(VTOL) 조종사 교육·훈련 프로그램을 SWOT 분석 방법을 통해, 국내 조종사 양성체계에 적합한 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

울산시 서부생활권 내 주거지구의 도시적요소에 대한 비교 (Urban Factors of Residential Area in the “Western Region of Ulsan City” -Focused on the Mugeo, Daun, Gulhwa, Guyoung, and Cheonsang districts-)

  • The aims of this study was to provide information of sites to potential buyers and apartment builders through a comparative investigation on the urban criteria in 5 disDicts of Usan city Mugeo, Daun, Guhwa, Guyoung, and Cheonsang. The content analysis method was used to determine the urban factors which reviewed the urban and environment plan legal system and contents of plans which analyzed the housing characteristics in Ulsan city. Also utilized were professional's opinion and various emphasized elements such as the location of apartments through newspaper advertisement from 1990 to 1999. The urban evaluation factors used in this study were degree of air and noise pollulion, traffic facilities, land use, living environment and economics. Major findings are as follows: Mugeo area has the most convenience community facilities, Guyoung and Cheonsang areas have excellent natural environment-air and noise pollution.

도시개발에 따른 대기환경 변화가 건강에 미치는 영향연구 (A Study about the Impact of Atmospheric Environmental Changes by Urban Development on Human Health)

  • Because deterioration of air quality and urban heat island directly harm health of citizens, Health Impact Assessment (HIA) and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for urban development projects needs to conduct analysis of their impacts objectively. This study aims to review appropriate methods for assessment of air quality used at each stage of urban development and to investigate prediction and assessment methods of urban heat island. In addition, by evaluating impacts of climate change following supposed urban construction performed in the central area of Korea on public health, it examines usefulness of HIA for urban construction. When urban heat island prediction and HIA method suggested in this study are applied to an imaginary city, they predict urban heat island properly and the impacts of climate changes on public health inside the city could be determined clearly by calculating life-climate index and bio-climate index related with thermal environment from the model.

  • In this study, Urban Climate Simulation was performed by 3-Dimensional Urban Canopy Model. The characteristics of urban climate was analyzed combining artificial land coverage, building size, heat production from the air conditioning and topographic conditions as physical variables which affects urban climate characteristics. The results are as follows. (1)The aspects of the urban climatal change is derived to be related to the combination of the building coverage ratio, building height and shading area. (2)Whole heat generation was influenced by the convective sensible heat at the lower building height and by the artificial heat generation at the higher one over 20-story building influence to some extent of the building coverage ratio. The effect of the altitude is not more considerable than the other variables as below $1^{\circ}C$ of the air temperature.

도시녹지의 기온 및 지온 완화효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of Air Temperature and Ground Temperature Mitigation from Several Arrangements of Urban Green)

  • To study the temperature mitigation effects from urban green, several arrangements of green spaces were selected and air/ground temperatures were measured in Chongju city area. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; 1. It was found that the natural ground materials effect more affirmatively on the air and ground temperature than artificial ones do. The best results were recorded from the grass surface presenting highest mitigation effect and lowest daily temperature deviation. 2. Temperature mitigation effects of Tree-Shade on ground are different from season, ground material, and crown-size. Them most effects were found in interlocking block, the least in grass surface among recorded 2 seasons and 3 materials. In case of air temperature, the effects were more or less decreased in most cases. 3. From the survey, it was confirmed that the smaller urban greens can do its role of temperature mitigation as larger ones does. In case of this study, the effect was recorded about 2.3$^{\circ}C$.

  • Development of underground space in urban area has a huge amount of potential to ease the limitations on the land use and the efficiency especially in urban area. Considering public transportation in urban area, subway system could be one of the most efficient and practical approaches. Subsequently this leads the public to have more chances to experience the indoor air quality (IAQ) in subway systems. In this study, it was aimed to produce useful data for the IAQ control in subway environments, Specifically the train-induced wind has been investigated by means of field survey and analysis. The recent updates including the quantified characteristics of train-induced wind are presented in this paper.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the air ventilation system in apartment houses focused on the air circulation and pilotis. The air ventilation system is used with the data which were obtained by the environmental health, urban climate, air pollution, ventilation path. The architectural element was pilotis concept connected with piloti ratio, piloti position and piloti type. The summaries of this study were as follows; 1) the well-being apartment concept, 2) the heat island phenomenon, 3) the oxygen density of air, 4) the definition of ventilation path, 5) the pilotis connected with residential environment improvement. In addition, the detailded case study to the air ventilation system in apartment houses be needed.

Advanced Air Mobility ICT 기술 현황 및 발전 방향 (Current Status and Development Direction of Advanced Air Mobility ICTs)

  • In this study, the status of global advanced air mobility (AAM) was investigated to derive information and communications technologies (ICTs) that should be prepared according to directions of domestic AAM development. AAM is an urban air traffic system for moving from city to city by electric vertical take-off and landing or personal aircraft. It is expected to establish a three-dimensional air traffic system that can solve ground traffic congestion caused by the rapid global urbanization. With the full-scale commercialization of AAM solutions, high-density air traffic is expected, and with the advent of the personal air vehicle (PAV), the flight space usage is expected to expand. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a safe AAM service through early research on core ICTs for autonomous flight.
