일반계 고등학교 과학교육 실태 비교분석 (A Comparative Study on the Status of High School Science Education)

  • The purpose of this study is to compare the status of high school science education in 1982 and 1986. The same questionaire was used for the survey of high school science education which was developed by Yu in 1982. The questionaires were responded by the principals. science head teachers. science teachers and students. The major findings are as followings: 1. The perception for the importance of science education has been declined. 2. The support for sciene science education has been reduced. 3. The entrance exanination for university or college is the serious bottleneck of high school science education. 4. It is very hard for science teachers to teach science as inquiry through the true experiment under the current situation of high school science education.

  • The Healthy Family Act was announced in February 2004 and has been in effect since January 2005. The purpose of this study was to determine some of the proper directions in the management of Healthy Family Centers based on the results of a six-month demonstration project. Family welfare services whose primary goal is to offer a system which support properly functining families and promoting their health, should be planned and provided from the perspective of the families involved, since they are the recipients of welfare services. furthermore, it's needed to stay abreast with rapid social changes that necessarily contribute to altering people's values. Healthy Family Centers will be placed in local communities and offer efficient education, counseling and family culture programs tailored to diverse family needs. In order to make, this work properly, all specialists and organizations associated with the project should make concerted efforts on a long-term basis.

B대학생들의 미(美) 인식과 융합교육과의 관련성 연구 (Relevant study of convergence education and beauty awareness of B University students)

  • 아름다움(美, Beauty)은 시대와 지역, 그리고 문화와 학자들에 의해 다양하게 해석되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 인간의 아름다움과 대학 캠퍼스 환경의 아름다움, 그리고 이 아름다움에 대한 인식과 융합교육과의 관련성에 대해 분석하였다. 특히 본 논문은 B대학의 대학생들을 대상으로 실시한 아름다움 인식에 관한 설문자료를 토대로 연구하였다. 또한 본 연구에서는 아름다움이 무엇인지, 인간의 아름다움을 어떻게 인식하고 있는지, 캠퍼스 환경의 아름다움이 어떤 것인지에 대해 고찰하였다. 나아가 학생들의 아름다움 인식과 융합교육의 관련성에 대해서도 살펴보았다. 전공교육과 미학의 융합교육의 관련성이나, 인성교육과 미학의 융합교육의 관련성을 살펴보았다. 자료에서 학생들은 인간에 대한 통합적 아름다움이라는 인식과 외면적 아름다움보다는 내면적 아름다움을 더 우선하는 인식을 지니고 있음을 알 수 있다. 대학 캠퍼스 환경의 아름다움도 대학 구성원들의 아름다움이 중요하고, 교수와 직원들의 설립이념에 적합한 개별 인성과 전공역량도 중요하며, 감성세대에 적합한 감성 교육과 행정 지원도 필요함을 알 수 있다. 대학 프로그램의 아름다움 인식도 이것을 경험한 학생들의 인성과 전공역량을 통해 나타나기 때문에, 대학 프로그램의 융합적 아름다움 교육도 중요함을 인지할 수 있었다.

  • Development of science education curriculum and instructional materials have been considered as the matt essential task for the establishment of scince education as an independent discipline, and for the intrenchment of status and identity of colles of Education The aim of this study was to identify the necessity and types for the development of science education curriculum and instructional materials. The nature and structure of science education were discussed in connection with school science subjects, science of education, and the structure of science education system. Also essential theory and practice of modular approach for development of curriculum were investigated in order to organize a guideline for the development of scince education modules. The guideline includes development procedures, major contents. and structure of science education modules which is organized by integration of the nature of scince education and concepts of modular approach for curriculum development.

공학 교육에서의 비판적 사고의 활용 방안 (How to Utilize Critical Thinking in Engineering Education)

  • The aim of this paper is to explore various ways to utilize critical thinking in engineering education. To this end, this paper, in the light of the relationship between critical thinking and the program learning performance of ABEEK, reviews engineering design education, engineering ethics education, and engineering communication education, which are major areas where critical thinking can be utilized in engineering education. As a result, it was confirmed that critical thinking skills, especially the elements and criteria of critical thinking, can contribute to the creative problem-solving process in engineering design education, the rational decision-making process in engineering ethics education, and the effective communication process in engineering communication education.

$\Pi$(파이)형 교육체계 ([ $\Pi$ ]Structured education System)

  • 현행 우리 나라 공과대학의 교육체계는 1학년 교양교과목 이수와 2-4학년 전공교과목 이수로 분리된 단순계층형 교육체계인데, 이러한 이분법적 체계는 교양교육과 전공교육의 양극으로 치우치게 하기 때문에 그 사이에 광범하게 펼쳐진 스펙트럼상의 다양한 교육내용들을 수용하지 못하며, 따라서 장래에 요구되는 종합적 능력을 가진 공학도를 양성하는 데에는 부적합하다. 본 논문은 이러한 문제점을 극복하고 미래에 요구되는 창의적이고 상상력이 풍부한 엔지니어들을 배출할 수 있도록 뒷받침 해 줄 새로운 교육체계로서 $\Pi$형 교육체계를 제시한다. $\Pi$형 교육체계는 기존의 인문 사회교양교육과 엔지니어 소양 교육을 결합한 기본소양과정과, 기존의 기초과학과 전공기초교육에 공학일반교육을 결합한 전공기반과정, 그리고 전공심화과정 등 3개 교육과정으로 구성되고, 이들 중 기본소양과정과 전공기반과정을 1-3학년에 걸쳐 병행해 제공하고 그 기반 위에 전공심화과정을 4학년 과정으로 제공하는 $\Pi$자(字)형 구조를 갖는다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 $\Pi$형 교육체계의 타당성과 장점을 여러 가지 관점에서 논의한다.

  • Nowadays, the public as well as science educators pays much attention to the fourth industrial revolution and wonders what will happen to the societies in the future. Thus, this study aimed at predicting the education environment which will be brought from the fourth industrial revolution, and suggesting the solutions or tasks to be investigated in science education. Through the literature review, this study categorized the major changes of future society into a wild fluctuation of job market, the shift from possession-based economy to sharing economy, post-urbanized and distributed system, and the crisis of dehumanization. According to the four major changes, this study predicted the future environment that will occur to the educational system. First, the students should the competences necessary for the future and the school curriculum will be changed in terms of width and depth. Second, sharing economy may bring about the open platform similar to MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) or TED. Third, the manifestation of artificial intelligence in education will enable the individual and paced learning, and thanks to the change, the concept of distributed cognition will be more focused in education research. Fourth, the collaborative learning and character education should be more stressed to resist the dehumanization. This study suggests relevant tasks and issues that should be tackled for the successful change in primary and secondary schools.

비판적 사고를 활용한 공학 설계 교육 (Engineering design education utilizing critical thinking)

  • ABEEK's professional liberal arts education reflecting critical thinking, has been well received by professors and students in the engineering discipline. Also, the demand for further utilization of critical thinking within the engineering curriculum is increasing. To meet such demand, there is a need for experts in the area of critical thinking education and engineering education to come together and search for the most effective method in using critical thinking in engineering design education courses. In this paper, we were able to confirm, through specific application cases, that the problem-solving process of critical thinking can be effectively transferred to an engineering design process, and the elements and criteria of critical thinking can be used as a successful design tool. Also, we explore the possibility of further improving engineering education on the basis of critical thinking.

응급구조학 전공학생의 공감능력, 자기조절능력이 임상실습스트레스에 미치는 영향 (Effects of empathy and self-regulation capacities of paramedic students on clinical practice stress)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to determine a method to reduce stress in clinical practice by identifying how the empathy and self-regulation capacities of paramedic students influence their stress levels. Methods: Selected articles were statistically analyzed using SPSS 21.0. Data on 172 3rd-year and 4th-year paramedic students in Daejeon were used. The subject's general characteristics (sex, university education, the number of the medical training center, work type, satisfaction with college life, and satisfaction with their major) were analyzed according to empathy and self-regulation ability by t-test and ANOVA. Pearson's correlation coefficient was used for the correlation of empathy, self-regulation ability, and clinical practice stress. Hierarchical regression was used for factors influencing clinical practice. Results: Clinical practice stress levels were significantly different between general characteristics of sex (t=3.002, p=0.003), university education (t=2.815, p=0.006), the number of the medical training center (t=-2.998, p=0.003), work type (t=-2.998, p=0.003), satisfaction with college life (t=5.280, p=0.000), and satisfaction with major (t=5.132, p=0.000). Empathy (r=-.520, p<.001) and self-regulation ability (r=-.330, p<.001) significantly negatively correlated with major variables, and the major factor influencing clinical practice stress levels was empathy. Conclusion: Extension of education and various experiences for improving empathy and developing management programs should be performed to decrease clinical practice stress on paramedic students.
