  • Algal chlorophyll-$\alpha$ is commonly determined by spectro-photometric method using 90% acetone as solvents. However, acetone has low extraction efficiency without grinding filters, and DMF (dimethyl formamide) was tested for the compatibility with acetone. Chlorophyll-$\alpha$ concentration was determined for samples from 5 reservoirs of different trophic states and phytoplankton composition, using acetone extraction with grinding and DMF without grinding. Chlorophyll-$\alpha$ measured by DMF and Acetone did not show a significant difference when using trichromatic method of UNESCO and Lorenzen, and therefore, DMF can substitute acetone. But when acidification method was applied, they showed significant difference of 8%. It can be concluded that DMF can extract chlorophylls more effectively without grinding and it can be a better alternative for the standard extraction solvent.

  • International information transfer has increasingly been a topic of concern since the 1970s and has been discussed in numerous forums, including the OECD, the UN, Unesco, and ITU. It is made possible by the convergence of computer and telecommunications technologies which has facilitated the transfer of machine-readeable information across national boundaries with unprecedented speed and efficiency. While information flow between nations occupies an increasing percentage of the population in advanced countries, the developing countries continue to experience information disparity. Yet even with this situation, information remains a major resource and commidity in international trade and commerce. Neither its value or its threat can be ignored by any nation. Both national and international information policy should be constructed with cognizance of the social, economic, cultural, and technological aspects of information.

  • In this research, we investigated the acoustical characteristics of the front yard of Injeongjeon hall at Changdeokgung Palace, a Korean traditional building which is on record as the world curtural inheritance of UNESCO. Acoustical measurements and computer simulation were fitted in order to judge the appropriateness of musical performances in the space. The front part of the stage area, where musicians will perform, is made of a stone platform. The eaves of Injeongjeon hall is located behind the platform.

  • "Hahoe Village" in Andong region is an UNESCO World Heritage Site. It should be protected against various disasters such as fire, flooding, earthquake, etc. Among these disasters, flooding has drastic impact on the lives and properties in a wide area. Since "Hahoe Village" is adjacent to Nakdong River, it is important to monitor the water level near the village. In this paper, we developed a hydrological modelling using multi-layer perceptron (MLP) to predict the water level of Nakdong River near "Hahoe Village". To develop the prediction model, error back-propagation (EBP) algorithm was used to train the MLP with water level data near the village and rainfall data at the upper reaches of the village. After training with data in 2012 and 2013, we verified the prediction performance of MLP with untrained data in 2014.

이 책은 Josefa E. Sabor 교수가 저술한 ${method}^s$ of Teaching librarianship (Paris: Unesco, 1969)에 수록되어 있는 Curriculum을 번역한 것이다.

  • The concept of a "switching language " between different indexing languages and information retrieval systems has been discussed since the mid-1960s. Some preliminary investigates into the feasibility of switching between mediating tool yielded positive results. The Broad system of ordering(BSO) , a general classification scheme for information exchange and switching, has been under development as a joint FID/UNESCO project since 1973. The purpose of this study is to find out the origin, development, definition, and principle of BSO. The results of the study can be summarized as follows: (1) BSO is a switching language for the purpose of interconnection of information system which is located different regions, or using different indexing languages. (2) BSO is in effect, fully faceted and broad classification system. (3) BSO is not only a subject code but also an ordering system. (4) BSO can be used information retrieval system because the notation of composite subjects is formed by combining notation. (5) BSO has to some extent sacrificed brevity by leaving large unused notational gap for future use. (6) The structure of the scheme is in no way dependent upon the notation. notation.

  • The annals of Joseon Dynasty has been known as one of the UNESCO's Memory of the World Heritage. Some of the annals of Joseon Dynasty was composed with wax coated book. Especially the waxed book have been severely damaged by various reason. To find out the safety preservation method of the annals of Joseon Dynasty waxed book, the characteristics of reinforced dewaxed Hanji was evaluated in this paper. From strength properties of MC treated dewaxed Hanji after dewaxing with different method, dewaxing ratio was been high, polymer treated dew axed Hanji showed a better strength. As the aging time, polymer layer on dewaxed Hanji was became brittle and cracked.

Professor Zhou Yushu that the old EU pattern may no longer be suitable for contemporary development trends, the need for reform and create a new pattern of mutual benefit and win-win situation. Professor Thomas believes that the impact of Britain's departure from Europe should be viewed from a dialectical perspective, and the benefits and disadvantages of China's economic development plan will be positive for the economic development of Europe as a whole. With the common development of China.

  • Examples of GPR survey results at a variety of archaeological sites are presented. Several new analyses which include static corrections for the tilt of the GPR antenna are shown for imaging of burial mounds with significant topography. Example archaeological site plans developed from GPR remote sensing of Roman and Japanese sites are given. The first completely automated GPR survey, using only Global Positioning Satellite navigation to create 3D data volumes, is employed for a site in Louisiana to detect lost graves of the Choctaw Indian Tribe.

  • This paper presents an analysis of the Teaching and Learning for a Sustainable Future (TLSF) program, an innovative teacher education and regular professional development by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) employing the curriculum analysis framework created by Posner. Using this framework the analyst found that the TLSF design is based on good research in regard to learning, teaching, and assessment now driving efforts to reform environmental teacher education. Ongoing development of the TLSF program in the research setting of an international level permits ever deeper connection with emerging curriculum theory and curriculum practice and allows new linkage as ideas are tested in research classrooms.
