초음파법을 이용한 구조이음의 접합강도해석 (Bonding Strength Analysis of Structural Joints by using Ultrasonic Method)

  • This article has been investigated the use of FFT for adhesive joints analysis between metal sheets. The method is based on the measurement of the reflection wave at the metal/adhesive interface. After describing briefly the physical aspects of the phenomenon, an index is defined to detect defective zone of the joint(both for the lack of adhesive and for insufficient adhesion): the influence of the experimental variables(variable stress...) on the measurement is discussed. By means of a control experiment it is shown that stress variation in adhesive joints are separate to be distinguished. In this paper, Nondestructive evaluation in adhesive joints are evaluated together with ultrasonic testing and finite element analysis.

생체 외 조건의 소 경골에서 초음파를 이용하여 피질골 두께를 측정하기 위한 방법 (Ultrasonic methods for measuring the cortical bone thickness in bovine tibia in vitro)

  • 경골의 피질골 두께는 골절 위험 및 전반적인 골 상태와 관련이 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 생체 외 조건의 소경골에서 초음파를 이용하여 피질골 두께를 측정하기 위한 두 가지 다른 방법의 타당성을 조사하는 것이다. 반사법에서 경골의 피질골 두께는 신호 포락선에서 특정 피크를 생성하는 골외막 및 골내막으로부터의 초음파 반사로부터 결정되었다. 축방향 전달법에서 경골의 피질골 두께는 경골의 축방향을 따라 측정된 유도 초음파의 속도로부터 결정되었다. 반사법을 이용하여 측정된 피질골 두께는 캘리퍼스를 이용하여 측정된 피질골 두께와 r = 0.97(p < 0.0001)의 유의미한 피어슨 상관관계수를 나타냈다. 반면, 축방향 전달법을 이용하여 측정된 피질골 두께는 캘리퍼스를 이용하여 측정된 피질골 두께와 최초 도달 신호 방법의 경우에 r = 0.92(p < 0.0001), 느린 유도파 방법의 경우에 r = 0.89(p < 0.0001)의 상관관계수를 나타냈다. 본 연구에서 제시된 초음파 측정법이 골다공증의 스크리닝 도구로서 유용할 수 있고, 잠재적으로 대퇴골 및 요골과 같은 다른 골격 부위에 적용될 수 있는지 여부를 확인하기 위해서는 생체 내 조건에서 임상적 타당성이 입증되어야 한다.

iGS를 이용한 모바일 로봇의 실내위치추정 알고리즘 (Localization Algorithm for a Mobile Robot using iGS)

  • As an absolute positioning system, iGS is designed based on ultrasonic signals whose speed can be formulated clearly in terms of time and room temperature, which is utilized for a mobile robot localization. The iGS is composed of an RFID receiver and an ultra-sonic transmitter, where an RFID is designated to synchronize the transmitter and receiver of the ultrasonic signal. The traveling time of the ultrasonic signal has been used to calculate the distance between the iGS system and a beacon which is located at a pre-determined location. This paper suggests an effective operation method of iGS to estimate position of the mobile robot working in unstructured environment. To expand recognition range and to improve accuracy of the system, two strategies are proposed: utilization of beacons belonging to neighboring blocks and removal of the environment-reflected ultrasonic signals. As the results, the ubiquitous localization system based on iGS as a pseudo-satellite system has been developed successfully with a low cost, a high update rate, and relatively high precision.

재료내 기공결함에 의한 SH형 초음파 원거리 산란장의 신호특성에 대한 수치해석 (Numerical Analysis on the Signal Characteristics for Scattered Far-field of Ultrasonic SH-Wave by the Internal Cavity)

  • In this study, the scattered far-field due to a cavity embedded in infinite media subjected to the incident SH-wave was calculated by the boundary element method. The effects of cavity shape and distance between internal cavity and internal point in infinite media were considered. The scattered far-field of the frequency domain was transformed into the signal of the time domain by using the Inverse Fast Fourier Transform(IFFT). It was found that the amplitude of scattered signal in time domain decreased with the increase of the distance between the detecting points of ultrasonic scattered field and the center of internal cavity in media. In addition, the time delay was clearly found in time domain waveform as the distance between the detecting points of ultrasonic scattered field and the center of internal cavity was gradually increased.

  • Pit형 표면결함으로부터 발생하는 작은 피로균열의 거동을 초음파의 표면파를 이용하여 이를 위하여 피로시험중인 Al 2024-T3를 시험재료, 피로시험도중 초음파를 이용하여 피로균열의 거동을 조사하였다. 즉, 피로시험에서 균열이나 Pit로부터 발생하는 작은 피로균열을 여러 응력조건하에서 나타나는 표면파의 반사특성에 관하여 연구하였다. 또한 이론적 결과와 실험적 결과를 상호 비교, 분석하였고, SEM을 사용하여 이들 작은 피로균열을 관찰하였다. 초음파를 이용한 피로균열의 균열 개구 거동에 관한 연구에서 피로균열의 유효균열 특성을 초음파법으로 평가 할 수 있었다.

  • This paper describes a method of building the probability grid map for an autonomous mobile robot using the ultrasonic DAF(data association filter). The DAF, which evaluates the association of each data with the rest and removes the data affected by the specular reflection effect, can improve the reliability of the data for the Probability grid map. This method is based on the evaluation of possibility that the acquired data are all from the same object. Namely, the data from specular reflection have very few possibilities of detecting the same object, so that they are excluded from the data cluster during the process of the DAF. Therefore, the uncertain data corrupted by the specular reflection and/or multi-path effect, are not used to update the probability map, and hence building a good quality of a grid map is possible even in a specular environment. In order to verify the effectiveness of the DAF, it was applied to the Bayesian model and the orientation probability model which are the typical ones of a grid map. We demonstrate the experimental results using a real mobile robot in the real world.

SH-EMAT에 의한 Digital 신호처리에 관한 연구 (A study on the digital signal processing by shear horizontal-electro magnetic acoustic transducer)

  • In this study by using EMAT(electro magnetic acoustic transducer)the artificial slit is installed on 12B-SUS pipe test piece. By making 4 cycle SH-burst (EMA) incidence to 45 .deg. angle, the signal data of pulse, received from EMAT are translated into digital-signal-processing- method SSP(Split Spectrum Processing) and Deconvolution method. The main conclusions obtained are as follows; (1) the signal data received from EMAT are translated with digital signal proc- essing of SSP-method and Deconvolution-method and this method shows exellent results more than Ultrasonic testing method does; (2) noise can well be removed by SSP with signal data, and resolution and S/N ratio are advanced; (3) when used with Ultrasonic wave general stainless steel has proporties of multiscattering and reflection phenomena, but resolution is progressed by using Deconvolution method;and (4) as addition-averaging-processing mumber is increasing, the resolution and S/N ratio are improved and the satisfactory signal is obtained.

초음파탐상 검사를 이용한 증기터빈 블레이드 루트 휭거 균열 탐지기법 개발 (Development of Crack Detecting Method at Steam Turbine Blade Root Finger using Ultrasonic Test)

  • The reliability of blade root fixing section is required to endure the centrifugal force and vibration stress for the last stage blade of steam turbine in thermal power plant. Most of the domestic steam turbine last stage blades have finger type roots. The finger type blade is very complex, so the inspection had been performed only on the exposed fixing pin cross-section area due to the difficulty of inspection. But the centrifugal force and vibration stress are also applied at the blade root finger and the crack generates, so the inspection method for finger section is necessary. For the inspection of root finger, inspection points were decided by simulating ultra-sonic path with 3D modeling, curve-shape probe and fixing jig were invented, and the characteristics analysis method of ultrasonic reflection signal and defect signal disposition method were invented. This invented method was actually executed at site and prevented the blade liberation failure by detecting the cracks at the fingers. Also, the same type blades of the other turbines were inspected periodically and the reliability of the turbine increased.

Digital Spectrum 분석방법을 이용한 조직특성 변수에 관한 연구 (Ultrasonic Tissue Characterization by Digital Spectrum Analysis Technique)

  • A digital spectrum analysis technique was used to estimate the tissue characteristic parameters (transmission velocity and attenuation coefficient) in the phantom study and the human liver's ultrasound scanning. The soft tissue equivalent phantom was made with the combination materials of agar, water, powdered graphite, and n-propyl alcohol. In the human study, twenty five normal subjects and three patients with liver diseases were studied using the ultrasonic reflection signals and the spectrum analysis method The following results were obtained; 1. The soft tissue-equivalent materical could be produced with various acoustic parameters by changing the composition amount of the powdered graphite and n-propyl alcohol. 2. Attenuation coefficients of normal human liver tissue were estimated to be 0. 36 dB/cm MHz$\pm$0.11. In patients with liver disese, tile attenuation coefficients were shown to be different from the above normal values.

  • In this paper, we propose the topological map building method about unknown environment using the ultrasonic sensors. An ultrasonic sensor inherently has the range error due to the specular reflection. To decrease this error, we estimate the obstacle states(position and velocity) using the local minimum sensor values and Jacobian. Estimated states are used to avoid the obstacles and build the topological map similar to the type that human being memorizes an environment. When a mobile robot is faced with three problems(comer way, cross way and dead end), it senses the movable directions using FIS(Fuzzy Inference System). Among these directions, it can select the target direction using binary decision tree(Turn Side Selector). Proposed algorithm has been verified with three simulations and three implementations.
