유비쿼터스 비즈니스 모델 저장소를 이용한 경쟁 전략 수립 방법 (A method to build competitive strategy based on the ubiquitous business model repository)

  • It is important to choose and develop right business model in the process of implementing the ubiquitous service concept. In particular, it is also required to build a method which can assist in establishing a business model in a competitive perspective to differentiate business strategy. However, we could not find the existing studies which tried to develop business model including methods on how to differentiate business strategy in a competitive environment. In this study, we propose an ontology for repository of ubiquitous business model and address on how to apply the proposed business model repository to real ubiquitous industry. We also built a repository of unlicensed wireless device industry to check the applicability of proposed ubiquitous business model ontology and to show the various examples. We expect that building the business model repository contributes to reduce the redundancy and inefficiency for industry as well as to increase likelihood of business success for an individual company.

U-서비스 이용에 영향을 미치는 유비쿼터스 특성에 관한 실증연구 (Empirical Study on the Ubiquitous Computing Characteristics Affecting the Use of U-Service)

  • Ubiquitous computing is enhancing computer use by making many computers available throughout the physical environment, but making them effectively invisible to the user. To facilitate the successful adoption and diffusion of ubiquitous computing, it is necessary to figure out the factors affecting the use of U-service. Though the research related to ubiquitous computing has been vigorously conducted from the aspect of system and service provider, there have been very few studies that focus on the user's perspective. Therefore, this study attempts to figure out major factors which are dedicated to the development of ubiquitous computing and u-service, and that ultimately influence the u-business outcome. This study derived the factors that characterize u-service, such as ubiquity, contextual offer, reliability, invisibility, and confidentiality, which are then combined in the TAM model and carry out the path analysis. The research findings indicate that ubiquity affects both the perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. The reliability and confidentiality were found to affect the perceived usefulness, whereas the contextual offer and invisibility turned out to influence the perceived ease of use. Finally, the relationship among the perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and the attitude toward using are identical with the previous research findings related to the technology acceptance model(TAM).

  • 현대사회는 정보화의 개념을 넘어서 유비쿼터스(Ubiquitous) 컴퓨팅 사회라고 말한다. 그리고 정보기술(IT)은 관련기술과의 융합으로 시스템들을 서로 통합하는 형태로 발전하고 있으며, 특히 유비쿼터스 환경에서의 의료정보 산업은 U-Healthcare 서비스 분야에 많은 관심을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 첫째, U-Healthcare 서비스 환경과 통합의료정보시스템의 구성내용을 살펴보고, 둘째, 의료정보시스템의 통합을 위한 기본적 기술요소인 데이터웨어하우스, 네트워크, 통신 표준화 및 U-healthcare 서비스 관련기술 등을 검토한다. 마지막으로 이러한 기술적 요소들의 관점에서 U-Healthcare 서비스를 위한 새로운 통합의료정보시스템의 구축방안과 운영과제를 제안하였다. 이것은 고객들을 실시간으로 근접간호(POC : Point of Care)하고, 고객 개개인의 다양한 진료 데이터를 이용하여 정확한 진단을 하고, 그 정보가 다시 고객에게 전달됨으로써 고객만족이 향상될 것으로 기대된다.

  • Nowadays great changes arises from the digital environment and technology. And Also, our living environment are changes very rapidly. The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics and trends of future housing reference to ubiquitous housing cases in U.S.A, Japan and Korea. From these cases, reorganized ubiquitous-apartment elements are suitable to our housing environment. To search them, it is investigated to 4 ubiquitous housing examples, such as Aware Home, Toyota's PAPI, samsung raemian's housing gallery and GS E&C's apartment. In this study, we could get types and characteristics and planning elements of ubiquitous housings. The findings showed that many kinds of common network systems were suggested and were acted in limited spaces. In conclusion, it was considered as the one of the most suitable future housing type that had a special feature of the demands of residence and life with free accessibility of information and data. Especially, it is necessary to prepare for coming aging society.

An Analysis on Technology Acceptance of Ubiquitous Banking Service

  • The objective of this paper is to identify factors influencing intention to use ubiquitous banking service focusing on potential users using a regression model. Through this, providers of ubiquitous banking services can get an idea of future development, including marketing strategy through the results of this analysis. This paper proposes that perceived usefulness is the most important factor influencing the uptake of ubiquitous service. Also in addition, ANOVA test shows that higher education level of the user can lead to the higher intention to use an ubiquitous banking service. In this study, we set up a model by using the most basic factor among influential factors presented in previous studies as an independent variable. However, other research variables which affect acceptance of ubiquitous service should be considered by thinking more diversely.

  • In 1990, Korea building contractors were indifferent maintenance management cause focus on completion of construction before construction collapsed. Currently, structures monitoring systems are restrictive on large structures. Structures monitoring systems are limited many old and small structures in the whole nation. Recently, we make efforts application Ubiquitous technology as like sensor, sensor network system, and wireless communication system in construction.   • If industrial disasters happen at workplace, work's desires of workers and business activities may be dispirited. Especially, industrial disasters frequently happen in the field of heavy and chemical industry companies. According to report of the korea occupational safety and health agency(KOSHA), damage due to industrial disasters is more 5 times than losses due to industrial strifes. Thus, in these manufacturing companies, a safety management field for preventing industrial disasters is emerging as an important factor of business activities. This paper proposes an industrial disaster prediction model for safety management and also implements industrial safety management system(after this, is called as u-Safety system) based on the proposed model using ubiquitous computing technologies like USN(ubiquitous sensor networks) which are given much attention among recent information technologies. The implemented system is successfully operating in the shipbuilding division of 'H' companies.

LonRF 지능형 디바이스 기반의 유비쿼터스 홈네트워크 테스트베드 개발 (Development of a LonRF Intelligent Device-based Ubiquitous Home Network Testbed)

  • This paper describes the ubiquitous home network (uHome-net) testbed and LonRF intelligent devices based on LonWorks technology. These devices consist of Neuron Chip, RF transceiver, sensor, and other peripheral components. Using LonRF devices, a home control network can be simplified and most devices can be operated on LonWorks control network. Also, Indoor Positioning System (IPS) that can serve various location based services was implemented in uHome-net. Smart Badge of IPS, that is a special LonRF device, can measure the 3D location of objects in the indoor environment. In the uHome-net testbed, remote control service, cooking help service, wireless remote metering service, baby monitoring service and security & fire prevention service were realized. This research shows the vision of the ubiquitous home network that will be emerged in the near future.

  • In the ubiquitous which is rapidly developing with ultra speed thes days, constructing the u-Campus which is using the sensor-network as its base is keep developing. Also, any information related equipments like PC and mobile, computing is possible whenever and wherever you want and due to the development of the wireless network, the service environment is continually developing. In this article, I'd like to suggest the u-Campus which is very suitable to the user's environment which had used application of mobile. In u-Campus, various techniques are adopted and applied along with development of info-communication related technidques. Especially, the new type of campus which is constructed by adopting the ubiquitous computing net-work technique to the campus of university is the u-Campus. In this article, by suggesting u-Yuhan designing methods, more effective and advanced school activities of students to make possible.
