Mobile Healthcare System Based on Bluetooth Medical Device

  • Recently healthcare industry such as pharmaceutical, medical device and healthcare service technology is growing significantly. Mobile healthcare has attracted big attention due to IT convergence technology. Paradigm of healthcare has been changed from the 1st generation(communicable disease prevention) and the 2nd generation(treatment of disease due to extended life expectancy) to the 3rd generation(extended life expectancy due to prevention and control). In our study, we suggest the 3rd generation mobile healthcare system using Bluetooth based wearable ECG monitoring system and smart phone technology. The mobile healthcare system consists of wearable shirts with Bluetooth communication module, ECG sensor, battery, and mobile phone. The ECG data is obtained by a miniaturized sensor and the data is transferred to a mobile phone using Bluetooth communication. Then, user can monitor his/her own ECG signal on an application using Android in mobile phone. The Bluetooth communication device is used due to highly reliable data transmission property and the Bluetooth chip is embedded in every mobile phone. The wearable shirts with chest belt of Bluetooth ECG module is designed with a focus on convenience in the daily life of a wearer. The ECG signal evaluation software in Android based mobile phone is developed for the health check and the ECG signal variation is tested according to the activities of the wearer such as walking, climbing stairs, stand up and sit down, and so on.

  • Today, In all fields, As combination of ubiquitous computing-based technologies between electronic space and physical space, has been active trend research about wireless integration sensor network between sensors and wireless technology. Also, but in ship is underway research about Ship Area Network(SAN) of intelligent ship to integrate wireless technology, ship is required SAN-bridge technology of a variety of wired, wireless network integration and heterogeneous sensor and interoperability of the controller and SAN configuration management technology of remote control. Ship keep safe of all the surrounding environment including crew besides structural safety and freight management monitoring. In this paper, for monitoring design such as on climate change detection and temperature, pressure about various structures, there identify technology trends for routing and data aggregation to use energy efficiency in wireless sensor network. And to analyze self-organizing clustering method, study For wireless sensor network configuration in ship.

UbiCore : An Effective XML-based RFID Middleware System (UbiCore : XML 기반 RFID 미들웨어 시스템)

  • Owing to the proliferation of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technologies which is being watched as a core technology of ubiquitous computing, applications which offer convenience to people using RFID technologies are more and more increased. To easily develop these applications, a middleware system which acts as a bridge between RFID hardware and application is essential. In this paper, we propose a novel XML-based RFID middleware system called UbiCore (Ubiquitous Core). UbiCore has following features: First, UbiCore employs its own query language called XQueryStream (XQuery for Stream Data) which is originated from XQuery. Second, UbiCore has the preprocessing phase called pre-filtering prior to query evaluation and reuses the intermediate result of previous evaluation to speed up the processing of RFID tag data stream. Third, UbiCore supports query on both continuously generated stream data and archived historical data. And last, UbiCore offers a distinct markup language called Context-driven Service Markup Language (CSML) to easily specify the linking information between context and service.

  • Recently, the ubiquitous is handled by maximum topic. New knowledge information and ubiquitous computing evolution have promoted new paradigm transfer and grand change. Also, need technology as powerful engineering approached fairly system and educational guidance side examination necessarily to overcome u-Learning base situation and studying obstacle situations. This treatise embodied handiness examination about attention shortage and excess obstacle (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, low ADHD) who must solve so as to be square and level being increase trend in primary school using USB (Universal Serial Bus) terminal system that allow fetters to OSGi (Open Service Gateway Initiative). That OSGi base USB terminal system is easy preservation of information, safety of network, cost-cutting and maintenance by various ubiquitous system that server that load many USB terminals and OSGi uses an USB bus of high speed and construct network, there is advantage of concentration elevation and so on of week and ADHD handled in this treatise because early diagnosis and treatment are serious. The confirmed system application that can supplement paper and pens examination's shortcoming and could solve examination's problem which use computer, and help in student guidance through ADHD simpleexamination who utilize OSGi base USB terminal system. Is available by game system that system for human nature examination or intelligence test and general exam explaining and level studying, order style question investigation program, studying system for disabled person, majority that enforce in public in school this study finding does together.

Study on Changes of Street Furniture in Digital Environment (디지털 환경에서 가로시설물의 변화에 관한 연구)

  • Along with the development in cutting-edge digital technology, the street space is also being changed. Mobile telecommunication units and internet give a big change in a human being's lifestyle. And the ubiquitous computing is proceeding with expanding its application range from the indoor space to the street space. As the street furniture is the convenient facility that allows a human being's life in street space to be abundant, it is getting advanced. First of all, in terms of such phenomenon, this study analyzed the cases of a research on application of street space and the actual condition of a change in the number of individuals for the street furniture, through a literature research of ubiquitous. Also, it researched into the realities of using the street furniture of the walking-desired streets at Daehac-ro and Hongdae district, where are two representative places related to digital generation. The next was carried out FGI (Focus Group Interview) with users of the street space in front of Hongik University and managers of the street furniture, and was researched into the use & management behavior, and recognition level on the street furniture. Thus, the key elements were extracted such as interchange of information for cultural activities, automation for interaction variability in function. Finally the core elements for future vision of street furniture in this digital era were extracted in 3I, namely, Information, Intellectualization, and Integration. This is considered to be applied to the establishment of direction in the process of high-tech digitalization in street furniture related to information hereafter.

  • With the distribution modernization policy advanced by the government and consumers preference toward it, the so called "modern market" has undergone rapid growth. Conversely, traditional market is losing popularity with consumers as a result of inadequate modern structures, small market size, convoluted relationships, inefficient operation and disordered transactions, among others. Therefore, this study seeks to utilize ubiquitous computing, that is, the upgrade of context aware information to 6W1H and promote the market through the interface with Smartphone and provide advanced information through the augmented reality technology. For the construction of context-aware system using user context, the results may significantly differ according to how reference rules are applied to and implemented on knowledge base. In light of above, through the use of RFID technology and 6W1H context awareness, we seek to promote traditional markets.

  • Recently, there has been much research and many attempts to enhance converged information technology services using new technology such as ubiquitous sensor networks (USN) in medical, environmental, industrial, and logistic areas. There has also been much research and various attempts to apply this new technology to agricultural areas. However, applications to the agricultural areas should be considered differently against the same areas such as medical, environmental, industrial, and logistics. Therefore, this paper suggests that an agricultural cultivating management and traceability system. This system is a unified system that supports the processes sowing seeds through selling agricultural products to consumers. Farmers can be provided with an effective calendar for cultivation and weather information in real time as well as the monitoring of the growth of farm products on the farm in real time using this system. Farmers can also control all equipment installed on the farm directly or remotely and the equipment can be controlled automatically when the measured values such as temperature and humidity deviate from the decent criteria which are set by farmers or this system. Additionally, the reliability for and the better quality of the agricultural products can be improved because farmers can use this unified system to cover all processes from sowing seeds to selling to consumers.

  • A recent major development in computer technology is the advent of the wearable computer system that is based on human-centric interface technology trends and ubiquitous computing environments. Wearable computer systems can use the wireless universal serial bus (WUSB) that refers to USB technology that is merged with WiMedia PHY/MAC technical specifications. In this paper, we focus on an integrated system of the wireless USB over the IEEE 802.15.6 wireless body area networks (WBAN) for wireless wearable computer systems supporting U-health services. And a communication structure that can differentiate QoS of U-health WBAN and WUSB traffic with different priorities is proposed for WUSB over IEEE 802.15.6 hierarchical protocol. In our proposal and performance evaluation, throughputs of U-health WBAN and WUSB traffic are analyzed under single and multiple QoS classes to evaluate the effectiveness of proposed QoS differentiating structure in WUSB over IEEE 802.15.6.

  • This paper describes an efficient hardware implementation of HIGHT block cipher algorithm, which was approved as standard of cryptographic algorithm by KATS(Korean Agency for Technology and Standards) and ISO/IEC. The HIGHT algorithm, which is suitable for ubiquitous computing devices such as a sensor in USN or a RFID tag, encrypts a 64-bit data block with a 128-bit cipher key to make a 64-bit cipher text, and vice versa. For area-efficient and low-power implementation, we optimize round transform block and key scheduler to share hardware resources for encryption and decryption. The HIGHT64 core synthesized using a $0.35-{\mu}m$ CMOS cell library consists of 3,226 gates, and the estimated throughput is 150-Mbps with 80-MHz@2.5-V clock.

In this paper, we focus on an integrated system of the wireless USB over the wireless body area networks (WBAN) for wireless wearable computer systems supporting U-health services. To construct the WUSB over WBAN communication systems, we propose a WBAN beaconing structure to assign WUSB communication periods. In the proposed structure, WUSB uses private periods of WBAN. In our performance evaluations, we compare theoretical results and simulation results about throughputs of WUSB under various WBAN channel occupations to evaluate the effectiveness of proposed structure in WUSB over WBAN communications.
