Aircraft noise is one of the main causes of environmental impact. It is more serious than any other noise nuisance. It has become an increasing source of annoyance to the large number of people who live in communities near airports. This paper demonstrates the prediction of aircraft noise using Integrated Noise Model (INM) 5.1 developed by U.S. FAA and aircraft noise contour map near airports.

This paper is concerned with the impulsive Cauchy problem (equation omitted) where u is a possibly discontinuous vector-valued function and f, $g_{i}$ : $IR^{n}$ -> $IR^{n}$ are suitably smooth functions. We show that the input-output map is Lipschitz continuous and investigate compactness of reachable sets.

We examine the bi-rotational hypersurface x = x(u, v, w) with the third Laplace-Beltrami operator in the four dimensional Euclidean space 𝔼⁴. Giving the i-th curvatures of the hypersurface x, we obtain the third Laplace-Beltrami operator of the bi-rotational hypersurface satisfying ∆^IIIx =𝒜x for some 4 × 4 matrix 𝒜.

Loss of heterozygosity (LOH) has been used to detect deleted regions of a specific chromosome in cancer cells. LOH on chromosome 16q has been reported to occur frequently in progressed hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Liver tissues from 37 Korean HCC patients were analyzed for LOH by using 25 polymorphic microsatellite markers distributed along 16q. Out of the 37 HCC patients studied, 21 patients (56.8%) showed LOH in various regions of 16q with at least one polymorphic marker. Puring the analysis of these 21 LOH cases, 6 patients showed interstitial LOHs in which the boundary of the LOH region was defined. With two rounds of LOH analysis, five commonly occurring interstitial LOH regions were identified; 16q21-22.1, 16q22.2 - 22.3, 16q22.3, 16q23.2 and 16q23.3 - 24.1. Among the five LOH regions the 16q23.3 - 24.1 region has been reported to be related with chromosome instability. A complete physical map, which covers the 3.2 Mb region of 16q23.3 - 24.1 (D16S402 and D16S486), was constructed to identify novel candidate tumor suppressor genes. We provide the minimally tiling path map consisting of 28 BAC clones. There was one gap between NT_10422.11 and NT_019609.9 of the human genome sequence contig (NCBI sequence build 33, April 29, 2003). This gap can be filled by sequencing the R-1425M20 clone which bridges these sequence contigs.

연안해역에서의 해상 운송량이 늘어남과 함께 유조선의 충돌 및 좌초 등의 해난사고에 의해 해양환경에 막대한 피해를 끼치는 원유 유출사고도 대폭 증가하고 있다. 누유의 효율적인 수거와 환경피해를 최소화 하기 위해서는 oil map 즉, 누유오염지역의 시간영역에서 정확한 예측이 매우 중요하다. 이러한 예측은 정수면위 누유의 초기확산과 조류, 바람 파도에 기인한 표층류에 의한 이동이라는 중요한 두가지 과정을 고려하여 이루어진다. 본 논문에서는 초기확산만을 고려하였다. 누유의 초기확산 추정을 위해 새로운 수치모델과 기법이 제안되었다. 본 모델의 타당성을 검증하기 위해 간단한 실험이 이루어졌다. 또한, 가상누유사고에 대해 수치 시뮬레이션을 수행하였는데 본 모델로 부터 기름층두께를 포함하는 매우 현실적인 oil map을 얻을 수 있었다.

유비쿼터스 도시 환경에서 사용자에게 맞춤형 국토정보를 제공하기 위한 공간 정보 시스템 개발이 대두되고 있다. 공간 정보 시스템은 사용자를 위해 언제 어디서든지 공간 정보를 탐사할 수 있다. 또한, 다른 사용자들에게도 데이터마이닝 기술을 통해 분석된 정보를 제공해 줄 수 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 빈발 패턴 기법을 활용한 오픈맵 API 기반 프로토타입을 제안한다. 제안하는 프로토타입은 지오포토의 위치 데이터를 기반으로 사용자에게 흥미로운 여행 코스와 우리가 알지 못했던 명소를 탐사할 수 있다. 또한, 제안된 프로토타입은 20가지의 오픈맵 API 기반 지도 중 사용자에 의해 선택된 지도에 분석된 공간 패턴을 표현할 수 있는 최초의 시도이다. 우리의 프로토타입은 스마트폰 등의 모바일 단말기에서도 응용될 수 있다.

컴퓨터에 의한 도면자동입력 시스템은 화상처리 중에서 중요한 응용분야 중에 하나이다.지도 정보의 데이터 베이스는 교통, 행정, 지원개발 및 계획수립 등의 분야 에서 유용하게 활용된다. 그러나 도로정보 추출시, 지도상의 문자나 기타 심벌에 의해 중첩된 영역에서는 도로가 끊어진 채 추출된다. 이러한 각종 심범에 의해 끊어진 도로의 복원에 관한 연구는 거의 이루어지고 있지 않은 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 도로정보와 추출 및 지도 기호에 의해 절단된 도로정보의 복원을 위한 계층적 신경회로망을 제안한다. 본 시스템을 국립지원 발행의 1/25,000지도에 적용하여 그 유효성을 보인다.
