  • In the future, a machine will be more improved in the form of advanced concept with collaborative ability in M2M(Machine to Machine, Mobile to Machine) environment for u-Manufacturing system. This paper tried to standardize M2M and design advanced concept machine. The M2M is front-end system for implementing autonomous ubiquitous environment. The advanced machine in M2M will be a collaborative machine with knowledge-evolutionary ability such as u-Machine(Ubiquitous machine), Vortal(Vertical Portal) machine and P2P(Peer to Peer) machine. Such advanced concept machines will be the key subject for M2M cooperation.

  • Core position of the M2M (Machine to Machine) is device integration fusion using an emerging wireless and next internet technologies as well as IEEE 802.x, Bluetooth, Zigbee, DMB, Wibro etc. for ubiquitous environment that is complementary with IT839 strategy from Ministry of Information & Communication. This paper define and deploy about major functional requirements of M2M devices and middleware for how to it works, worldwide M2M technology trend & activities with its current & future application in manufacturing area that is called u-Manufacturing (Ubiquitous Manufacturing).

Ubiquitous-Based Mobile Control and Monitoring of CNC Machines for Development of u-Machine

  • This study was an attempt to control and monitor Computerized Numerical Controller (CNC) machines anywhere and anytime for the development of a ubiquitous machine (u-machine). With a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) phone, the machine status and machining data of CNC machines can be monitored in wired and wireless environments, including the environments of IMT2000 and Wireless LAN. Moreover, CNC machines can be controlled anywhere and anytime. The concept of the anywhere-anytime controlling and monitoring of a manufacturing system was implemented in this study for the purpose of u-manufacturing and u-machines. In this concept, the communication between the CNC controller and the PDA phone was successfully performed anywhere and anytime for the real-time monitoring and control of CNC machines. In addition, the interface between the CNC controller and the developed application module was implemented by Object linking and embedding for Process Control (OPC) and shared CNC memory. For communication, the design of a server contents module within the target CNC was based on a TCP/IP. Furthermore, the client contents module within the PDA phone was designed with the aid of embedded c++ programming for mobile communication. For the interface, the monitoring data, such as the machine status, the machine running state, the name of the Numerical Control (NC) program, the alarm and the position of the stage axes, were acquired in real time from real machines with the aid of the OPC method and by sharing the CNC memory. The control data, such as the start, hold, emergency stop, reserved start and reserved stop, were also applied to the CNC domain of the real machine. CNC machines can therefore be controlled and monitored in real time, anywhere and anytime. Moreover, prompt notification from CNC machines to mobile phones, including cellular phones and PDA phones, can be automatically realized in emergencies.

  • 본 연구팀은 유비쿼터스 환경에서 다양한 분야의 콘텐츠를 보다 쉽게 개발하고 실행할 수 있는 통합 소프트웨어 개발 솔루션인 유비쿼터스 게임 플랫폼(Ubiquitous Game Platform)을 개발하였다. 유비쿼터스 게임 플랫폼은 가상기계 방식으로써 플랫폼에 독립적어서 유비쿼터스 환경의 기기에 탑재가 수월한 장점을 가진다. 본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 게임 플랫폼에서 다양한 콘텐츠의 실행과 멀티 스레딩을 지원하는 유비쿼터스 가상기계(u-VM)를 설계하고 구현하였다. MS의.NET 플랫폼과 SUN의 JVM이 C/C++나 Java 언어 하나만을 지원하는데 반해 본 연구에서 제시한 u-VM은 다양한 유비쿼터스 기기에 탑재되어 C/C++, Java 언어로 작성된 다양한 모든 종류의 어플리케이션을 실행한다. u-VM은 SEF(Standard Executable Format) 실행 파일을 입력으로 받아 실행하며, SEF 로더와 인터프리터, 내장 라이브러리, 실행 환경으로 구성되어 있다. 실행 환경에서는 메모리를 관리하고 예외를 처리하며 스레드 스케줄러를 통해 멀티스레딩 기능을 제공 한다.

  • The knowledge based economy requires more and more people to learn new knowledge and skills in a timely and effective manner. These needs and new technology such as computer and Internet are fueling a transition in e-learning. According to specialist's opinion, imagination experience studying is generalized, and learning environment that language barrier by studying, multi-language studying Machine that experience past things that disappear through simulation, and travel area, and experience future changed state disappears is forecasting to come. This is previewing finally that it may become future education that education and IT, element of entertainment is combined. Already, became story that argument for party satellite of e-Learning existence passes one season already. e-Learning is utilized already in all educations that we touch by effectiveness by corporation's competitive power improvement and implement of lifelong education in educational institutions through present e-Learning. It is obvious that when see from our viewpoint which is defining e-Learning by one industry and rear by application to education as well as one new growth power about these, e-Learning industry becomes very important means that can solve dilemma of growth real form. Only, special quality of digital industry that e-Learning is being same with other digital industry and repeat putting out a fire rapidly, and is repeating sudden change that these evolution is not gradual growth of accumulation and improvement of technology that is appearing consider need to. In the meantime, we need to observe about evolution of Information Technology. Because there is some scholars who e-Learning's concept foresees to evolve by u-Learning.(although, a person who see that these concept is not more in marketing terminology by some scholars' opinion is). This u-Learning's concept means e-Learning that take advantage of ubiquitous technology as Ubiquitous-Learning's curtailment speech. Ubiquitous, user means Information-Communication surrounding that can connect to network freely regardless of place without feeling network or computer. There is controversy about introduction time regarding these direction, but e-Learning is judged to evolve by u-Learning necessarily. Because keep in step and age that study all contents that learner wants under environment of 3A (any time, any whrer, any device) by individual order thoroughly is foreseen to come in ubiquitous learning environment that approach more festinately.

RFID를 활용한 유비쿼터스 컨벤션에 관한 연구 (A Study on Ubiquitous Convention using RFID)

  • We are entering into a era of enterprise computing that is characterized by an emphasis on broadband convergence, knowledge s haring, and calm services. Some people refer to this as the "ubiquitous" computing because its focus is on a high degree of connectivity between a company and its customers, suppliers, and channel partners. Ubiquitous computing technology, "RF" stands for "radio frequency"; the "ID" means "identifer". The tag itself of a computer chip and an antenna. The shortest metaphor is that RFID is like a bar-code but is read with an electromagnetic field rather than by a laser beam. Much has already been written about the use of RFID. But there is no has written about the use of RFID in the convention industry. Therefore this study have specific objectives as follows. 1. To give details on the use of RFID in convention. 2. To introduces the key concepts behind RFID technology. 3. To identify advantage & disadvantage of RFID technology using a BEXCO CASE study. 4. To study on ubiquitous convention using RFID and effective operation methods such as entrance identification system, session management, machine management, CRM management, visitor management, and contents management. This results provide into the current status of ubiquitous computing technology in convention industries. Specific advantages by using ubiquitous computing technology(RFID) are one-stop differentiate service, wireless internet service, use of visitor management system, entrance by tag, and U-logistics. On other side, disadvantages are security, stabilization of RFID system, higher price of RFID tag, and commercial scale. Convention by using of RFID technology is currently at an early stage. Convention company as BEXCO need to have the capabilities to adapt, to customize, to commercialize, and to modify technology to suit our circumstances.

실시간 관측 및 제어가 가능한 IoT 저수조 관리 시스템 (IoT-based Water Tank Management System for Real-time Monitoring and Controling)

  • 실시간 제어는 관리 시스템의 실질적인 사용을 확인하기 위해 해결해야 하는 주요 과제였다. 이와 관련하여 편의성과 효율성을 높이기 위해 처음으로 사물인터넷(IoT) 기반 저수조 시스템을 제안 및 개발하였다. 저수조의 상태가 불안정할 경우 사용자에게 알려 저수조를 효과적으로 제어할 수 있다. 제안된 시스템은 센서 데이터 측정 및 제어를 위한 내장형 H/W 장치, 웹 및 모바일 앱을 통한 관리 서버 구축을 위한 애플리케이션 S/W, 통계 관리 및 모니터링을 위한 효율적인 데이터베이스 구조로 구성되어 있다. 또한 기계 학습 알고리즘을 적용하여 실제 효율성을 더욱 향상시킬 수 있다.
