The Effect of Public Health Center-Based Hypertension School on Hypertension-related Knowledge, Self-efficacy, Anthropometric Value and Blood Pressure

  • This study is to identify the effects of hypertension management program at a community health center on the disease-related knowledge, self-efficacy, anthropometric measurements and blood pressure of a hypertensive patient in local community. This study is a quasi-experimental study using nonequivalence control group no-synchronized design in order to verify the effects of the hypertension management program at a community health center on the hypertension-related knowledge, self-efficacy, anthropometric measurements and blood pressure of a hypertensive patient in local community. The result indicated a significant difference between the experimental group and control group in the scores of hypertension-related knowledge (t=-4.25, p<.001), self-efficacy (t=-4.20, p<.001), systolic blood pressure (t=7.70, p<.001) and diastolic blood(t=5.91, p<.001), body weight(t=2.32, p=.026) and abdominal circumference(t=2.17, p=.036). The hypertensive patients' knowledge and self-efficacy were improved, and their weight and abdominal circumference as well as systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure were reduced. Therefore, it was confirmed that multilateral approaches in terms of physical and psychosocial aspects only targeting hypertensive patients were required for managing hypertensive patients in local community.

Development of LED Module for Tooth Care with Effect of Promoting Scar Treatment and Analysis of Optical Properties (흉터 치료 촉진 효과를 갖는 치아 케어용 LED 모듈 개발과 광학적특성 분석)

  • In this paper, we analyzed the optical properties of the LED module for dental care, which has the effect of promoting cell regeneration and scar treatment. The LED module is a U-shaped module suitable for the shape of teeth. It is manufactured with an LED module (632 nm) and an LED module (632 nm + 870 nm), analyzes the results of optical properties, sets the irradiation distance, irradiation time, and is effective in healing skin wounds. Evaluation was conducted. It was tested in 6 test groups according to the light irradiation conditions, and light was irradiated to the scar site every other day for 7 days, 1 day and 3 days. As a result, it was confirmed that the effect of scar treatment was the highest when the combined wavelength of 632 nm + 870 nm was irradiated in pulse mode than when the single wavelength was irradiated and the composite wavelength was continuously irradiated. In group C group irradiated with PW Mode: pulse mode (period 36 ms, pulse width 35 ms) using a composite wavelength with LED module (632 nm + 870 nm) than group A without light irradiation, the length of scar reduction was 19 %, the area of the scar was further reduced by 10%, and it was confirmed that it is effective in treating scars in the wound area.

  • Recently, ransomware damage has been increasing rapidly around the world, including Irish health authorities and U.S. oil pipelines, and is causing damage to all sectors of society. In particular, research using machine learning as well as existing detection methods is increasing for ransomware detection and response. However, traditional machine learning has a problem in that it is difficult to extract accurate predictions because the model tends to predict in the direction where there is a lot of data. Accordingly, in an imbalance class consisting of a large number of non-Ransomware (normal code or malware) and a small number of Ransomware, a technique for resolving the imbalance and improving ransomware detection performance is proposed. In this experiment, we use two scenarios (Binary, Multi Classification) to confirm that the sampling technique improves the detection performance of a small number of classes while maintaining the detection performance of a large number of classes. In particular, the proposed mixed sampling technique (SMOTE+ENN) resulted in a performance(G-mean, F1-score) improvement of more than 10%.

  • Currently, our country has promoted sustainable growth in agriculture field by expanding the growth engine which is going to creat new value through agrifood industry & ICT convergence, the deployment of computerization in rural areas and the efficiency increase of agricultural administration system. Since the level of domestic agriculture-ICT convergence technology focusing on production areas is at early stage, it is necessary to deploy the successful models through the systematic development of technology and standardization including production, distribution and consumption phase. In addition, because the management and control systems of large glass greenhouse are mostly foreign products with no standardization and related small domestic companies, there is a limit to agri-food & ICT convergence activation led by the agri-food private sector. Also, it is vital to increase productivity & efficiency and improve quality throughout the entire agricultural process including production, distribution and consumption by the fusion of information technology, automatic control technology and unique ICT on existing agricultural technology, Therefore, in this paper we propose the agricultural-ICT convergence technology fields in which our country can lead technology and the standardization plans through analyzing the development, policy and standardization trends on agricultural-ICT convergence technology.

  • This paper presents data-driven thermal protection algorithm for preventing overheating of automotive sunroof motor. When a sunroof motor operates abnormally, its coil is overheated and it is failed. Besides, drivers and passengers are damaged. Hence, the sunroof motor observes its temperature and will be stoped when its temperature reach a predefined level. In order to implement low-cost thermal protection function, we drew a knowledge-based temperature increasing and decreasing curve from the result of experimental test. And then, we implemented data-driven thermal protection algorithm which prevents motor's On/Off operation according to motor operating voltage and motor speed. Finally, we implemented experimental test bed and evaluated its feasibility.

  • Kinetic studies were carried out for aquation of carbonatobis(ethylenediamine)cobalt(III) complexes in [H+] aqueous solution by UV/VIS-spectrophotometry. The rate law that in deduced from rate data is $rate=k_H{^+}[H^+]^{1.4}$ {$[Co(en)_2(CO_3)]^+$}1.0 where $k_H{^+}$ is the rate constant considering acidic catalyst, $H^+$ ion whose value is $0.241l{\cdot}mol^{-1}{\cdot}sec^{-1}$. The values of activation parameters Ea, ${\Delta}H^{\ast}$ and ${\Delta}S^{\ast}$ were $15.33Kcal{\cdot}mol^{-1}$, $14.52Kcal{\cdot}mol^{-1}$ and -57.49 e.u. respectively. On the basis of kinetic data and the observed activation parameters, we have proposed the mechanism that proceeds with two step protonations. The rate equation derived from the proposed mechanism has been in agreement with the observed rate equation. It has been seen that our modified mechanism for Harris's proton freequilibrium one prefer to the his concerted mechanism, and more the last product substitute $H_2O$ for $OH^-$ the Harris's mechanism in the acidity range 2 < pH < 5.

  • Fruition for a diverse uIT(Ubiquitous Information Technology) service is currently required through the convergence of what is known as ubiquitous computing technology. In recent years, with the rapid growth of the need for information services, heavier demands have been made upon the supply of high-quality multimedia services that require a high bandwidth. Today, various home network solutions have been proposed to manage these service smoothly and a system able to deal with various types of network traffic without delays. In addition, in established home network environments that mix wired and wireless networks, along with the steady evolution of wireless network technology and the earnest development of ubiquitous computing technology, sensor-based wireless networks have emerged as a core solution for home networks. In this paper, a sensor network-based home control system supporting the next generation home gateway system for ubiquitous home environments is designed and implemented.

  • Today, information security (INFOSEC) as a discipline is gaining more and more importance according to the emergence and extension of the cyberspace. Originated from Joint Doctrine for Information Operation (Joint Pub 3-13) by the U.S. Department of Defense, 'information assurance (IA)' is the concept widely used in the relevant field. Grown from the practice of information security, it encompasses broader and more proactive protection that includes countermeasures and repair, security management throughout an information system (IS)'s life-cycle, and trustworthiness of an IS in the process of risk analysis. In Korea, many industry professionals tend to misunderstand IA, remaining unaware of the conceptual differences between IA and INFOSEC. On this account, the current study attempted to provide a combined definition of IA by reviewing relevant literature. This study showed the validity of the wordings used in the proposed definition phrase by phrase.

  • The use of caffeine as a psychoactive stimulant in tea has been observed to have serious negative effects in humans' systems such as respiratory, nervous, cardiovascular, renal and skeletal systems. This study was carried out to assess the levels of caffeine in 10 different tea brands available in local market in Dutse, Jigawa State, Nigeria. Quantitative analysis of caffeine was performed by a simple and fast UV-Vis spectrophotometric methods using different solvents for extraction. The caffeine content in all the tea samples analyzed in this study were below the maximum allowable limits set by the USFDA. Tea have been associated with adverse health effects and the claims made by manufacturers about the benefits of tea do not highlight risks associated with excessive consumption of a combination of the ingredients contained in tea. Long term effects of tea consumption of children and young people have not been adequately studied. Therefore, it is recommended that further research be carried out on the adverse effects of energy drinks on children. Research is also needed to be done on the effects of the combination of ingredients on health and excessive consumption of those ingredients to children and adolescents. People need to be educated and given proper awareness on the health risks associated with caffeine containing beverages.

Topic Modeling to Identify Cloud Security Trends using news Data Before and After the COVID-19 Pandemic (뉴스 데이터 토픽 모델링을 활용한 COVID-19 대유행 전후의 클라우드 보안 동향 파악)

  • Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many companies have introduced remote work. However, the introduction of remote work has increased attacks on companies to access sensitive information, and many companies have begun to use cloud services to respond to security threats. This study used LDA topic modeling techniques by collecting news data with the keyword 'cloud security' to analyze changes in domestic cloud security trends before and after the COVID-19 pandemic. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, interest in domestic cloud security was low, so representation or association could not be found in the extracted topics. However, it was analyzed that the introduction of cloud is necessary for high computing performance for AI, IoT, and blockchain, which are IT technologies that are currently being studied. On the other hand, looking at topics extracted after the COVID-19 pandemic, it was confirmed that interest in the cloud increased in Korea, and accordingly, interest in cloud security improved. Therefore, security measures should be established to prepare for the ever-increasing usage of cloud services.
