병원 조직의 상사리더십 유형이 조직 유효성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구: 직종 및 직급 수준에 따른 차이를 중심으로 (The Study on the Effects of Leadership Types in Hospital Organization on Organization Effectiveness: Focused on Medical and Non-Medical, Middle manager and operator)

  • Objective: In this study, in order to investigate the relationship between leadership type and job satisfaction, the types of leadership in medical institutions are divided into transformational leadership, servant leadership and authentic leadership. In addition medical staff and non-medical staff are classified according to their job characteristics, and middle managers and operators are classified according to position. Methods: For this purpose, 589 questionnaires were applied to the medical institutions in Seoul and Gyunggi-do, and empirically analyzed with multiple regression. Results: The results of this study are first, among gender, medical or non-medical staff, position and career experience, men, non-medical staffs, and middle managers showed higher leadership, job engagement, and job satisfaction. Second, servant leadership and authentic leadership have significant positive relationships with job engagement. In the case of medical staff, only servant leadership has a positive effect on job engagement, while in the case of non-medical staff, both servant leadership and authentic leadership have significant influence on job engagement. Job satisfaction was found to have a statistically significant effect of servant leadership and authentic leadership in medical staff and non-medical staff. Third, in the case of middle managers, servant leadership showed a statistically significant effect only on job satisfaction, while servant leadership and authentic leadership had statistically significant effects on job engagement and job satisfaction of operators. Conclusions: This study suggests the possibility and applicability of authentic leadership in addition to transformational leadership and servant leadership in hospital organizations. Also, by identifying differences in the effects on organizational effectiveness, it is also suggested the need for research on identifying leadership factors that reflect strictly distinctive job characteristics.

Empowering Leadership and Individual Creativity: The Mediation Role of Psychological Empowerment in Facing Covid-19 Pandemic

  • This study tests and analyzes the influence of empowering leadership on employee creativity which is mediated by psychological empowerment. Researchers conduct survey method on state-owned bank employees (ABC Bank) in Pacitan, East Java, Indonesia. Purposive sampling is selected with Likert scale as measurement. The population of this study is 166 respondents, who are permanent employees of the ABC Bank. The data analysis technique used is SPSS 24. The results of this study find that: (1) there is an influence of empowering leadership on psychological empowerment, (2) there is an influence of empowering leadership on individual creativity, (3) there is an influence of psychological empowerment on individual creativity, and (4) the influence of empowering leadership on individual creativity is mediated by psychological empowerment. This study ignores other types of leadership. Further study is needed to examine other types of leadership besides empowering leadership. The level of analysis of this study is individual, so further study could examine empowering leadership conceptualized at the group level because followers will be influenced not only by the dyadic relationship with the leader, but also by the dynamics of the members of the empowered group. This study provides theoretical enrichment from the aspect of empowering leadership, especially at the individual level. Leaders can increase employee creativity by empowering them to do their jobs. Additionally, by creating a work environment that ensures employees feel empowered psychologically.

간호사의 직무만족 및 조직몰입에 대한 리더십-팔로워십 결합유형의 중요도 분석 (Importance of the Types of Leadership-Followership Combination for Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment in the Nursing Organization)

  • Purpose : This study was designed to compare importance of the types of leadership-followership combination in the nursing organization. Method : The subjects of this study were nurses working in the hospital. They were recruited 490 from three medical centers. Data were collected by using self-reported questionnaires from April 8th to 18th, 2002. Result : The results were as follows; 1) It appeared that the most important type of leadership-followership combination for job satisfaction in the nursing organization was the transformational leadership-effective follower, however the most important type of leadership-followership combination for organizational commitment was the transformational leadership-the conformist. 2) According to analysis of partial correlational coefficient to compare the importance of variables, the leadership-followership combination type was the more important than other variables: education, age, duration of job, religion, marriage. Conclusion : With these findings, it was found that the most proper type of leadership-followership combination in nursing organization was the transformational leadership-effective follower for job satisfaction and the transformational leadership-the conformist for organizational commitment. So these results will be used to develop a more effective staffing management strategies to improve the effectiveness of nursing organization.

The Impact of Coach Leadership Type on Exercise of College Athletes

  • Purpose: Prior literature posits that leadership of coach influences athletes' performance via delegate interactions. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the type of instructor on the exercise stress of university athletes and to provide instructors with informative coaching methods especially for their leadership. Research design, data, and methodology: In order to achieve the purpose of the research, Seoul and Gyeonggi Province Materials University athletes were selected as a sample, 360 college athletes participated in the survey and data were screened and finally 314 were analyzed. The collected data were analyzed via descriptive analysis and multiple regressions. To examine the validity and reliability of the survey items, factor analysis and Cronbach's α were computed. Results: Coaches' leadership types are found to influence university athletes' exercise stress significantly. In specific, transformational leadership negatively influences teaching Complaints. Transformational leadership also negatively influences time constraints. However, transformational and transactional leadership do not have any effect on career concerns. transformational and transactional leadership also do not influence functional instability of college athletes. Conclusions: Overall, leadership types of coach partially influence exercise stress of athletes. These findings posit that transformational leadership contribute in developing reliable relationship between athletes and instructors. Further implications were discussed.

리더십 유형이 구성원의 조직몰입과 직무만족에 미치는 영향 : 종합병원 의무기록실을 대상으로 (Leadership Style of Medical Record Directors at General Hospitals and it's Effect on the Organizational Commitment and Job Satisfaction)

  • 1) Background: The hospitals of modem society, like any other business entities, have to constantly strive to secure their survival from aggressive changes and competition outside. In this unstable environment, effective leadership is one of the most effective strategies for securing organization's growth as well as stability. This study investigated types of leadership (transformational or transactional) that is dominant in medical record departments and compared it's effects on organizational commitment and job satisfaction of their organizational members by types. 2) Method: A questionnaire was developed and mailed to all medical record administrators working at general hospitals throughout the country except department directors (N=450). Of these, 150 useable questionnaires were returned and analyzed by t-test, multiple regression analysis using SPSS. 3) Results: The organizational commitment and job satisfaction were a little bit higher than moderate level, and that of leadership perceived by medical record administrators was also in moderate level throughout types. Significant characteristics (positively) related to organizational commitment and job satisfaction by univariate analysis were marital status (married), position (middle management) and both type of leadership. However transformational leadership was the only significant factor in leadership styles after considering all the factors related to organizational commitment and job satisfaction together by multivariate analysis. 4) Conclusion: The average organizational commitment and job satisfaction of medical record administrators was just in moderate level. Efforts should be made to increase them by improving leadership capacity of medical record directors, primarily by using transformational leadership approach.

수술실 간호사가 지각하는 간호조직문화 유형, 셀프리더십 및 소진 간의 관계 (Relationship among Types of Nursing Organizational Culture, Self-leadership and Burnout as Perceived by Perioperative Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study was designed to assess the types of nursing organizational culture, and degree of self-leadership and burnout as perceived by perioperative nurses, and to identify correlations between these variables. Methods: Participants were 155 nurses from 3 tertiary hospitals in Seoul and data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, ANOVA, Scheffe, and Pearson correlation coefficient. Results: In the types of nursing organizational culture, the mean score for hierarchy-oriented culture was 3.57, and for self-leadership, 3.61 and for burnout, 2.87. In the relationship between the types of nursing organizational culture, self-leadership and burnout, relation-oriented culture (r=.24, p<.01), innovation-oriented culture (r=.23, p<.01) and task-oriented culture (r=.22, p<.01) had a slight positive correlation with self-leadership in that order. The innovation-oriented culture (r=-.29, p<.01) and relation-oriented culture (r=-.42, p<.01) among the types of nursing organizational culture showed a negative correlation with burnout while the hierarchy-oriented culture (r=.28, p<.01) showed a positive correlation with burnout. Self-leadership showed a negative correlation with burnout (r=-.42, p<.01). Conclusion: The results show that nurses in operating rooms have a high awareness of hierarchy-oriented culture that affects burnout in a negative way while having a low awareness of relation-oriented culture that has a positive influence on burnout.

산학협력단의 조직 효과성에 영향을 미치는 산학협력단장의 리더십 유형에 관한 실증연구 (A Empirical Study of Leadership style Influencing on Organizational Effectiveness of University-Industry Collaboration Foundation)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 산학협력단장의 리더십 4가지 유형이 조직효과성에 미치는 영향력을 규명하는데 있다. 전국 35개 대학의 산학협력단 직원 설문대상 404명 중 178명의 설문응답 내용을 AMOS를 사용하여 구조방정식모형(SEM)으로 분석하였다. 산학협력단장이 조직 효과성에 미치는 리더십의 영향력을 확인하기 위해 독립변수로서 변혁적 리더십(TFL), 거래적 리더십(TAL), 코칭 리더십(CL), 서번트 리더십(SL)으로 구분하고, 종속변수로서 직무만족(JS), 조직몰입(OC), 자기효능감(SE)으로 정의하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 직무만족 및 조직몰입에 대해 변혁적 리더십, 거래적 리더십 및 코칭 리더십이 영향력을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 자기효능감에 대한 거래적 리더십과 서번트 리더십의 영향력은 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 셋째, 자기 효능감과 관련하여 산학협력단 직원들은 변혁적 리더십 및 코칭 리더십을 통해 약하게 영향을 받고 있었다. 넷째, 서번트 리더십의 경우 종속변수인 직무만족, 조직몰입, 자기효능감에 전혀 영향을 미치지 않았다.

공대생들의 진로발달의 이차원적 유형화에 따른 셀프리더십과 자기효능감 (The Two Dimensional Types of Career Development, Self-leadership, and Self-efficacy in the Korean Engineering College Students)

  • 본 연구는 진로결정수준과 진로준비행동에 기초하여 공대생들의 진로발달을 이차원적으로 유형화하고, 각 진로유형별(미성숙, 행동지향적, 진지하지 못한, 이상적 타입)로 셀프리더십과 자기효능감을 비교함으로써 공대생들의 진로상담 및 기초소양교육을 위한 프로그램 구성에 도움을 주기 위해 수행되었다. 진로결정에 대한 확신이 강하고 구체적인 준비활동을 활발히 하고 있는 이상적 타입이 셀프리더십 전략을 가장 효과적으로 사용하고 있으며, 자기효능감도 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다. 단계적 회귀분석 결과, 각 유형별로 개인의 진로와 관련된 인지적, 행동적 상태를 파악하여 진로와 관련된 방향감을 명확히 하고 구체적인 준비활동을 하는 데 도움이 될 수 있는 셀프리더십 전략들을 훈련하는 것이 유용할 것으로 판단되었다.

지도자의 리더십 유형이 체육고등학교 운동선수들의 성취목표성향에 미치는 영향 (The effect of leadership types on achievement goal orientation of the athletes in Physical Education High Schools)

  • 지도자의 리더십 유형이 체육고교 운동선수들의 성취목표성향에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위하여 총 290명의 체육고등학교 운동선수들을 대상으로 다요인 리더십 질문지(MLQ)와 성취목표검사지(TEOSQ)가 사용되었다. 수집된 자료에 대하여 t-test, One-way ANOVA, Scheffe 검증, 다중회기분석을 실시하여 다음과 같은 결과가 도출되었다. 첫째, 성별에서 남학생이, 종목별에서 대인종목, 운동경력에서 2년 이하, 주전/비주전에서 주전선수 요인이 리더십을 높게 지각했다. 둘째, 성별에선 남학생, 주전/비주전에서 주전선수가 성취목표성향을 높게 인식하였다. 셋째, 자아목표성향의 선수에게 지도자의 리더십 유형의 개별적 배려, 지적자극 요인, 조건적 보상 요인에서 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 과제목표성향의 선수는 카리스마와 조건적 보상 부분에서 유의한 차이를 나타내었다. 덧붙여서, 체육고등학교 선수들은 인구통계학적 특성에 따라 리더십 유형과 성취목표성향을 다르게 인식했으며, 선수의 성취목표성향에 따른 리더십 유형의 구성요인 별도로 각각 다르게 인식하는 경향성을 보였다.

안전리더십 연구에 대한 체계적 문헌고찰 (A Systematic Literature Review of Research Tends in Safety Leadership)

  • In order to establish a conceptual basis and future research direction of safety leadership, this study reviewed domestic and foreign research trends related to safety leadership through systematic literature review methods. The literature search was conducted by combining terms related to safety leadership without limiting the period databases. A total of 195 documents were found, of which the final 59 were used for analysis. As a results, the safety leadership study was the most frequent in relations among variables. The most leadership types were based on transactional leadership and transformational leadership. In addition, studies have been conducted to categorize safety leadership as an independent concept. Safety leadership was mainly studied in the fields of safety engineering, disaster prevention, and business administration. Quantitative studies were mainly conducted to research methods. Based on the results, the research trend related to safety leadership was discussed, and suggestions for future research direction was presented.
