This study investigated the design factors of the opening area in order to consider the kinematic stability of a valve plate, conducting an analysis of the reduction effects of pressure pulsation and flow ripple depending on the design factors, using the $SimulationX^{(R)}$ (Germany) hydraulic analysis program. Further, we performed a structure analysis to confirm the kinematic stability of the valve plate in a swash plate type piston pump, and analyzed the effects of pulsation on a 1-step V-type notch, 2-step V-type notch, and 2-step U-type notch to determine the effects of pulsation reduction. Finally, we show the effectiveness of our proposed design of the pre-compression sections on a valve plate in terms of low pulsation by using the hydraulic analysis program, $SimulationX^{(R)}$.

The objective of this study were to examine the relationships between clothing design preference, clothing attitude and sex role identity. Using the data collected through interview questions. 200 subjects who were 60years of age and older in Kunsan, Korea, the data were analyzed using $X^2$-test. The results of the study were the followings. 1. The androgynous type liked two button single jacket and the masculine and indifferentiate type three button single jacket, while the femin type liked soutien collar jacket in their woman. 2. The androgynous type' purchase motive was 'enough money' 'finding like clothing' while the masculine type's 'to attend meeting'. The feminine type's motive was 'enough money' and the indifferentiate type 'to attend meeting'. Clothing selection motive was more influenced the androgynous type than the feminine and indifferentiate type by 'design'. 3. The androgynous type felt 'indifferent' for dare clothing of the aging, the masculine type 'hate', the feminine type 'I like to', and the indifferentiate type 'look so good'.

The elastic stiffness formula of leaf type holddown spring(HDS) assembly is verified by comparing the values of elastic stiffness with the characteristic test results of the HDS's specimens. The comparisons show that the derived elastic stiffness formula is useful in reliably estimating the elastic stiffness of leaf type HDS assembly. The elastic stiffness sensitivity of leaf type HDS assembly is analyzed using the formula and its gradient vectors obtained from the mid-point formula. As a result of sensitivity analysis, the elastic stiffness sensitivity with respect to each design variable is quantified and design variables of large sensitivity are identified. Among the design variables, leaf thickness is identified as the most sensitive design variable to the elastic stiffness of leaf type HDS assembly. In addition, the elastic stiffness sensitivity, with respect to design variable, is in power-law type correlation to the base thickness of the leaf.

The mechanism design is synthesis of suitable mechanism which can be output motions about input motions. That has generally two steps which are the type synthesis and the dimensional synthesis. And required mechanism analysis step for confirming middle or final result. The type synthesis is definition of mechanism type which required aim and the dimensional synthesis is calculation of dimension about defined type mechanism. The type synthesis of mechanism is included qualitative design field which isn't defined systematic design method. especially, the most difficult step for mechanism design automation. In this paper proposed the component modular design method which is figured mechanism types automate with component modules using component modular approach. And develop CAD(Computer Aided Program) program for application.

The purpose of this research was to find out the effect of hair-style(straight and wave), hair-length(short, medium and iong), and type of hat design(no-hat, beret, cloche, bowler and capeline) on the impressions of hat's wearer . The experimental materials developed for this study were a set of stimulus and response scales(7-point scale semantic). Thirty stimuli color pictures of various combination of hair length, hair style, and type of hat design were manipulated by computer drawing. The subjects were 360 undergraduate students in Seoul, Kyunggi and Kyungnam. The result of this study can be summarized as follows; Impression factor of the stimulus consisted of the 5 different dimensions (attractiveness, gracefulness, brightness, visibilty, cuteness). Each impression of type of hat design, along with hair-style, hair-length had significant effects on gracefulness, visibilty and cuteness. Each impression of hair-style, hair-length, along with type of hat design had significant effects on gracefulness, brightness, visibilty and cuteness. Thus type of hat design, hair-style and hair-length have a significant influence on the impression evaluation of hat's wearer.

In this report, as a method to solve the problems on impulse insulation coordination in ribbon core transformer owing to it's BIL stepping up, new design to alter winding distribution of multiple-layer concentric winding to Convex type winding is proposed. The main focus of this method is to settle the weakness of axial direction insulation strength and as a result of theoretical analysis through experiment of model transformers, the following conclusions are obtained; (a) As the electric loadings in a design which increases by strengthenning axial direction insulation endurance in presently avarilable transformers owing to it's BIL stepping up can be restricted in Convex type winding, reasonable design will be suited to the transformer with higher BIL. (b) Convex type winding is a very improved insulation design in respect of insulation coordination because it has shield plate effect to even impulse oscillation. (c) There is a disadvantage to cause leakage flux to increase in Convex type winding, however, the constancy of electric loadings in a design in spite of BIL stepping up restricts the increase of leakage flux to some extent.

High-temperature design evaluations were conducted on Type 316L stainless steel piping for a 700 ℃ large-capacity thermal energy storage verification test loop (TESET) under construction at KAERI. The hot leg piping with sodium coolant at 700 ℃ connects the main components of the loop heater, hot storage tank, and air-to-sodium heat exchanger. Currently, the design rules of ASME B31.1 and RCC-MRx provide design procedures for high-temperature piping in the creep range for Type 316L stainless steel. However, the design material properties around 700 ℃ are not available in those rules. Therefore, a number of material tests, including creep tests at various temperatures, were conducted to determine the insufficient material properties and relevant design coefficients so that high-temperature design on the 700 ℃ piping may be possible. It was shown that Type 316L stainless steel can be used in a 700 ℃ high-temperature piping system of Generation IV reactor systems or a renewable energy systems, such as thermal energy storage systems, for a limited operation time.

Reactor design considerations over several critical parameters for a planar type reactive ion etcher are given. The etch uniformity is taken as a principal design constraint. The characteristics of economicaly available vacuum pumping system are taken as practical design constraints. A set of theoretical conditions on the chamber geometry and on the gas delivery and vacuum system, that satisfy the design constraints, are derived from basic properties of RF glow discharge and gas dynamics. The theoretical results are applied to decide design parameters of a practical single-wafer-per-chamber planar type reactive ion etching machine.

The purpose of this study was to identify the preference of interior design, design style and color, according to consumers' life style. Data were collected from March 7th. 2002. to March 22nd. 2002 using the questionnaire. The subjects were 228 adults and frequency, percentage, mean, cross tab, F-test, factor analysis, and cluster analysis were used for data analysis. The major results of this study were: 1) The types of life style were 3: regular family oriented type, progressive fashionable type, and conservative self-manageable type. 2) This study revealed relative difference in design style and color preference according to consumers' life style. Therefore, the type of life style could be used as powerful variable in interior design and marketing of allied industries.

The objective of this study is to examine the type and characteristics of hat, and also to analyze the formative characteristics of hats shown in $Pr{\hat{e}}t-{\grave{a}}$-porter Collection. The literature review focused on the relevant technical books and preceding researches while the case study targeted 1,561 photos of hats shown in the 'Donga TV Collection'. The research range was from the S/S season of 2012 to the F/W season of 2015/16. The results of this study are as follows. 1. A hat is composed of crown and brim. In the results of classifying hats based on it, there were 572 crown-type hats, 533 hat-type, 219 cap-type, 156 irregular-type, and 81 brim-type in the order. 2. For the crown-type hats, they were mainly like cylindrical-type, bell-type, dome-type, and circle-type, using colors like black, beige, brown, red, mustard, and grey, and materials like wool, fur, velvet, straw, and metal while they were decorated with bead or lace. 3. For the hat-type hats, they were mainly like bell-type, ladder-type, and hemisphere-type, using colors like peach, white, gold, brown, and khaki, and materials like silk, cotton, straw, and wool while they were decorated with feather and ribbon. 4. For the cap-type hats, they were mainly like hemisphere-type, using colors like white, black, khaki, mustard, and purple, and materials like fur, leather, and wool while they were decorated with wappen and chain. 5. For the irregular-type hats, they were mainly like sandglass-type, box-type, animal-type, trumpet-type, and bell-type, using colors like purple, orange, pink, yellow, and sky-blue, and materials like metal, feather, mesh, plastic, straw, and linen while they were decorated with ribbon, net, bell, and flower. 6. For the brim-type visor, they were mainly like square-type, using colors like transparent, yellow, and black, and materials like plastic, cotton, leather, and metal.
