Dynamic analysis of train-bridge system under one-way and two-way high-speed train passing

  • In this paper, the dynamic responses of train-bridge system under one-way and two-way high-speed train passing are studied. The 3D finite element modeling is used and the bridge and train are modeled considering their details. The created model is validated by the results of the dynamic field test. To study the effect of train speed, different train passing scenarios are analyzed, including one-way passing, two-way passing in different directions at same speeds, and two-way passing in different directions at different speeds. The results show that the locations of maximum acceleration are different in one-way and two-way passing modes, and the maximum values in two-way passing mode are higher than those in one-way passing mode, while the maximum accelerations in both modes are almost identical. The displacement and acceleration values in different scenarios show peaks at speeds of 260 and 120 km/h, due to the proximity of the natural frequencies of the bridge and loading frequencies of the train at these speeds.

  • The two-lane, two-way highway simulation program(TWOPAS) is evaluated for Korean Highway Capacity Manual Study. TWOPAS program input variables, especially related vehicle performance, traffic flow relationship, car-following model and passing logic are examined and modified through the analysis results of our two-lane, two-way highway traffic characteristics. Simulation outputs with and without modification are compared with the field data. The results show that improved TWOPAS program(TWOPAS KI) is well suitable for simulating our two-lane, two-way highway condition.

  • 양방향 2차로 도로의 설계, 용량 및 운영분석의 단계에서 고려되어야 할 핵심사항으로 화물차와 같은 중차량이 교통류에 미치는 영향을 들 수 있다. 중차량이 교통류에 미치는 영향은 승용차환산계수로 표현할 수 있으며, 이는 교통류 운영분석의 주 MOE's로 사용되는 교통량, 운행속도, 지체시간, 주행의 자유 등에 대하여 중차량이 미치는 영향을 계산하여 승용차 몇 대에 해당하는가를 나타낸 것이다. PCE환산에 있어서 중요한 것은 중차량을 승용차로 환산하는 척도이며, 이러한 승용차 환산 척도는 계량화가 가능하고 교통류특성을 반영할 수 있는 특성을 지녀야 한다. 본 연구에서는 PCE 산정의 척도로서 지체시간을 선정하였으며, 이의 계산을 위하여 도로구간을 추월가능구간과 추월금지구간으로 나누어 지체시간을 계산하였다. PCE의 환산은 Werner와 Morrall이 제시한 것처럼 Walker's Method를 이용하여 교통류 상호간에 발생하는 지체시간과 중차량 1대의 유입으로 인해 유발되는 지체시간을 비교하여 결정하였다. 또한 추월가능 및 금지구간 뿐만 아니라, 추월가능구간과 추월금지구간이 조합되어 연속적으로 나타나는 도로구간의 평균 PC료를 산정할 수 있는 방법을 제시하였다.

  • SWI 함수의 다중 호출과 매개변수의 효율적인 전달방법으로 일반적인 소프트웨어 인터럽트의 사용방법의 문제점을 해결하고자 한다. 소프트웨어 인터럽트는 강제로 소프트웨어적인 인터럽트를 발생하여 시스템 함수를 호출하거나 시스템 리소스를 사용하기 위해 이용되기 때문에 무분별한 접근들로부터 보호되어야 하지만, SWI명령어의 제한된 사용방식으로 효율적인 처리가 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 이를 해결하기위한 SWI의 Nested Call과 SWI의 서비스 루틴에 매개변수를 효율적으로 전달하는 방식을 설계하고 구현하였다. 즉, 단일 호출방식에서 다중 호출방식으로, 좀 더 유연하게 호출할 수 있도록 하였고, 두 가지 매개변수 이용 방식의 장단점을 비교분석하였다. 두 매개변수 이용 방식의 가장 큰 차이점은 속도와 가독성이다. 비록 스택 포인터 얻는 방식이 가독성이 매우 뛰어난 장점을 보였지만 많은 오버헤드를 발생시켰다. 이에 반해, 스택 포인터 전달 방식은 오버헤드의 발생을 줄여 속도적인 측면에서 약 19 %의 효율성을 보였다.

Opportunistic Multiple Relay Selection for Two-Way Relay Networks with Outdated Channel State Information

  • Outdated Channel State Information (CSI) was proved to have negative effect on performance in two-way relay networks. The diversity order of widely used opportunistic relay selection (ORS) was degraded to unity in networks with outdated CSI. This paper proposed a multiple relay selection scheme for amplify-and-forward (AF) based two-way relay networks (TWRN) with outdated CSI. In this scheme, two sources exchange information through more than one relays. We firstly select N best relays out of all candidate relays with respect to signal-noise ratio (SNR). Then, the ratios of the SNRs on the rest of the candidate relays to that of the Nth highest SNR are tested against a normalized threshold ${\mu}{\in}[0,1]$, and only those relays passing this test are selected in addition to the N best relays. Expressions of outage probability, average bit error rate (BER) and ergodic channel capacity were obtained in closed-form for the proposed scheme. Numerical results and Simulations verified our theoretical analyses, and showed that the proposed scheme had significant gains comparing with conventional ORS.

임무지향 컴퓨터를 위한 메시지패싱 고장감내 기법 (A Fault-Tolerant Scheme Based on Message Passing for Mission-Critical Computers)

  • Fault tolerance is a crucial design for a mission-critical computer such as engagement control computer that has to maintain its operation for long mission time. In recent years, software fault-tolerant design is becoming important in terms of cost-effectiveness and high-efficiency. In this paper, we propose MPCMCC which is a model-based software component to implement fault tolerance in mission-critical computers. MPCMCC is a fault tolerance design that synchronizes shared data between two computers by using the one-way message-passing scheme which is easy to use and more stable than the shared memory scheme. In addition, MPCMCC can be easily reused for future work by employing the model based development methodology. We verified the functions of the software component and analyzed its performance in the simulation environment by using two mission-critical computers. The results show that MPCMCC is a suitable software component for fault tolerance in mission-critical computers.

900MHz대 FDD방식을 이용한 선내용 Tranceiver에 관한 연구 (A Study on the 900MHz FDD Tranceiver for the Vessel)

  • The portable two way radio telephone amongst GMDSS equipment in the vessel is very important portable wireless one for search and rescue in distress situation. Although the portable two way radio telephone must be equipped with in the vessel by IMO & RR, other kinds of wireless tranceivers are widely used to communicate with crew members who are separately appointed at bridge forecastle and poop in leaving or arriving at the port, passing through a narrow canal or voyaging in the foggy weather, Most of those wireless tranceivers except portable two way radio telephone are allocated at 27MHz band with PTT simplex system that makes crew members difficult to work effectively in the vessel. In this research 900MHz band FDD(frequency duplex division) tranceiver system is studied to help crew members in the vessel to communicate with themselves freely and to work easily meanwhile with simple operation. 900MHz band FDD tranceiver system uses one chip FM frontend IC to realize the miniaturization and downsizing of tranceiver and small size head set attached to helmet. The credibility of this research's result is highly evaluated by circuit analysis with computer aided simulation, and partly modified 900MHz band cordless phone circuit.

  • The delay on two-lane, Two-way roads is a very important factor which tends to cause relatively high driver loads and too much delay often leads to traffic accidents. In this study a generalized form of delay estimation model was developed based on constant slow moving vehicle speeds, 100% no-passing zone, and flat terrain highway sections. To validate the model, a comparison was made with John Morrall's SMV(Slow Moving Vehicle)model as well as with TWOPAS model. Also a sensitivity analysis was performed to check accuracy of the model. It was found that the model was easy to apply and yet provided reasonable results for experimental conditions specified in the study. It was recommended that speed calculation procedure of the model be improved by further studies, so that the effect of speed acceleration or deceleration according to highway geometries on delay could be analyzed more accurately.

  • OBJECTIVES : This study aims to review a plan to reduce the shoulder width of a deformed round-trip two-lane highway with low traffic volume. METHODS : Installation of a passing lane on a round-trip two-lane (one-way one-lane) highway, and reduction of a shoulder for a round-trip four-lane highway. RESULTS : It is necessary to establish a design criterion for various highways, because the plan to reduce the lane or shoulder width of a highway with low traffic volume was analyzed to have an economic efficiency of 6.8~7.0%. CONCLUSIONS : It is necessary to seek for a plan to establish a national trunk net early by efficiently using the limited financial resources to cope with the traffic demand elastically.
