  • This paper is concerned with a design method of two-degree-of-freedom controller by Coefficient Diagram Method (CDM). The two-degree-of-freedom control system satisfies both of tracking and disturbance rejection performances, but requires tuning of many parameters. By the proposed design method, these parameters can be obtained properly without any adjustment. Furthermore, the tracking and disturbance rejection performances can be simultaneously designed. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated by the simulation.

  • In this paper, we present a magnetic levitation system which has not a gap sensor with sensor-less realization and stabilizing controller design. For measuring gap between magnet and levitated object we propose a gap sensorless method and adop two-degree-of-freedom controller for robust-ness and performence of the magnetic levitation system. From time responeses we confirm that the proposed sensorless method which can be applied to magnetic levitation system. Also the designed stabilizing controller has good disturbance rejection and reference tracking performance.

2자유도 PI 제어기를 이용한 2축 BLDC 모터 시스템의 정밀 위치동기 제어 (Precise Position Synchronous Control of Two-Axes System Using Two-Degree-of-Freedom PI Controller in BLDC Motor)

  • This paper describes a precise position synchronous control of two axes rotating system using BLDC motors and a cooperative control based on decoupling technique and PI control law. The system is required performances both good speed following and minimum position synchronous errors simultaneously. To accomplish these goals, the three kinds of controllers are designed. At first, the current and speed controller are designed very simply to compensate the influences of disturbances and to follow up speed references quickly. Especially, the two degree of freedom PI controller is used considering both good tracking for speed reference input and quick rejection of disturbances in speed controller. Finally, a position synchronous controller is designed as a simple proportional controller to minimize position synchronous errors. The validity of the proposed method is confirmed through some numerical simulations. Moreover, the results are compared to the conventional master-slave control ones to show the effectiveness of the proposed system.

  • In this paper, we propose a new method of designing a reduced-order controller for a linear discrete-time system. Firstly, we study a design problem for a two-degree-of-freedom control system with a feedforward controller. Secondly, in order to obtain a reduced-order controller, frequency-weighted least squares approximation problems are considered. Thirdly, we propose a synthesis procedure of a reduced-order controller. Finally, an example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of this proposed method.

  • There are two important variables in machining process control, which are feed and cutting speed. In this work, a two degree-of-freedom controller is designed and implemented to achieve on-line cutting force control and position control based on the modelling of cutting process dynamics which are established through step response test. Two schemes are proposed and implemented. The first is feed control under the constant spindle speed and spindle speed control under the constant feed speed. The second is a simultaneous control of feed and spindle speed. The last performs a position control under the constant cutting force. Those are confirmed to work properly. Especially the latter shows a faster response.

  • During the operation of crane system in the container yard, it is necessary to control the crane trolley position so that the swing of the hanging container is minimized. Recently an automatic control system with high speed and rapid transportation is required. Therefore, we designed a controller to control the crane system with disturbances and weight change. In this paper, we present the neural network two degree of freedom PID controller to control the swing motion and trolley position. Then we executed the computer simulation to verify the performance of the proposed controller and compared the performance of the neural network PID controller with our proposed controller in terms of the rope swing and the precision of position control. Computer simulation results show that the proposed controller has better performances than neural network PID with disturbances.

  • 최근, 반도체장비, 공구이송장비 그리고 CNC같은 여러 산업분야에 선형기계의 응용이 크게 증가하고 있다. 그러나 선형전동기는 진동특성을 가지고 있다. 그러므로 이러한 응용분야에서 정상 및 과도응답상태에서 고성능 위치제어가 필요하게 된다. 본 논문에서 간단하면서도 강력한 위치제어법을 2자유도 PID제어기를 이용하여 제안하였다. 이 기법은 과도현상없이 선형기계를 구동할 수 있는 잇점과 간단한 이득 동조를 할 수 있다. 일반적인 PID 제어기에 비해서 2자유도 제어기를 사용한 선형 전동기의 제어계의 성능 향상이 논의되었다. 그리고 시뮬레이션의 결과로 위치제어계의 응답에서 과도응답과 기동특성의 향상, 그리고 불필요한 진동성분의 제거에 유효함을 확인하였다.

  • In this paper we propose a design procedure of loop-shaping two-degree-of-freedom H$\infty$ digital controller for sampled-data system. We extend the continuous time loop-shaping two-degree-of-freedom H$\infty$ control problem to sampled-data system. The configuration of generalized plant is modified for sampled-data system. And then using continuous lifting we obtain the digital controller. In the final stage of loop-shaping procedure the problem of absorbing weighting functions is discussed. We summarize this study to the design procedure and illustrate the application for an inverted pendulum on the cart.

  • In this paper, the design of a two-degree-of-freedom(TDF) controller is proposed to track the reference model, as well as to reject an influence of measurable disturbance for descrpitor system. The TDF controllers based on the Youla parametrization reveals that the design of the feedforward controller and the regulator can be done independently. First, to solve this problem, we will change descriptor system into regular state space system using a state feedback. And then, the feedforward controller is determined by solving a full information approach for augmented system with a nominal control constraint, and the regulator is designed by means of the loop-Shaping method.

  • We propose a new design method for a generalized predictive control (GPC) system based on the parametrization of two-degree-of freedom control systems. The objective is to design the GPC system which guarantees the stability of the control system for a perturbed plant. The design procedure of our proposed method consists of three steps. First, we design a basic controller for a nominal plant using the LQG method and parametrize a whole control system. Next, we identify the deviation between the perturbed plant and the nominal one using a closed-loop identification method and design a free parameter of parametrization to stabilize the closed-loop system. Finally, we design a feedforward controller so as to incorporate GPC technique into our controller structure. A numerical example is presented to show the effectiveness of our proposed method.
