Intelligent Tutoring System(ITS), which offers individualized learning environment that consider many learners' variable, is realized by the effective alternative to take the place of domain expert. Accordingly, research on Learning Companion System(LC) is currently noticing. However, to develop LCS which applies effective interaction, it is necessary to combine several LCs, and personalized knowledge base have to be made first. Therefore, in this paper, we propose the 'Knowledge Base Object Medel', which is based on connectionist' in cognition structure, represents learner's knowledge to self-learnig object, and grows adaptive object by proprietor, verify the validity. This model lays the groundwork for design of personalized knowledge base, offers clue to development of adaptive ITS using knowledge base object.

Der Computer kann ein nutzliches, herausforderndes und kreatives Werkzeug und Hilfsmittel beim Sprachenlernen darstellen. Bei der Anwendung auf die Situation des Grammatiklernens sind die analytischen und interaktiven $F\"{a}higkeiten$ des Computers mit gutem Erfolg eingesetzt worden. Eine der attraktivsten Eigenschaften des Computers ist nun seine $F\"{a}higkeit$, mit dem Schiller zu interagieren. Gute Computerprogramme $erm\"{o}glichen$ eine ausgedehnte Interaktion zwischen Computer und $Sch\"{u}ler$. Die Computerprogramme zum Sprachenlemen befassen sich mit Grammtik. Hier habe ich ein Lemprogramm des Intelligent Tutoring Systems $f\"{u}r$ die Grammatik Perfekt programmiert. Das Intelligent Tutoring System ist ein Computerlehrer. Wenn dem $Sch\'{u}ler$ Fehler unterlaufen, gibt ein guter Lehrer nicht nur die richtige Antwort, sondern hilft dem Schiller auch, seinen Fehler zu erkennen, ihn zu analysieren und zur richtigen Antwort zu finden. Das ist eine Funktion des Intelligent Tutoring Systems. Die Programme geben die Fehlermeldung richtig oder falsch. Dem Schuler werden Aufgaben vorgelegt, die sich aus mehreren Schritten und Prozessen zusammensetzen, wobei der Computer als Werkzeug bei der Suche nach einer $L\"{o}sung$ dient In guten $Probleml\"{o}sungsprogrammen$ verfolgt der Computer den $L\"{o}sungsansatz$ des $Sch\"{u}lers$ und analysiert seine Fehler. Wenn der Schuler bei der $\"{U}bung$ die richtige Antwort $ausw\"{a}hlt$, lauft das nachste Lernprogrammn des Computers. Die $\"{U}bungstyp$ kann auf dem Computer angereichert werden, indem $pr\"{a}zise$ und hilfreiche Kommentare $f\"{u}r$ jede $Auswahlm\"{o}glichkeit$ geboten werden.

This paper is written to introduce a multimedia tutoring system for nondestructive testing using personal computer. Nondestructive testing, one of the chief methods for inspecting welds and many other components, is very difficult for the NDT inspectors to understand its technical basis without a wide experience. And it is necessary for considerable repeated education and training for keeping their knowledge. The tutoring system that can simulate NDT works is suggested to solve the above problem based on reasonable condition. The tutoring system shows basic theories of nondestructive testing in a book-style with video images and hyper-links, and it offers practices, in which users can simulate the testing equipment. The book-style and simulation practices provide effective and individual environments for learning nondestructive testing.

The grade-schooler could develope computer literacy education with the Peer tutoring system which is method of one higher level learner can teach and help another learner. This system can hold the result in common each other, also a progress to get the successful result. Moreover, they do the project in cooperation. After the application of the peer tutoring, the basic of computer ability increase in quality. We have side-effects which are increased the interest of computer function after real teach and learning process. And we get good atmosphere which is confidence each other and helping mood in studying another school work. If this study should process changed form, it will be developed more regular system than this study.

The existing tutoring estimation systems using the authoring tools or HTML forms on the Web environment don't have been improved inconvenient factors of uni-directional interactive systems. In this paper, we design and implement the interactive tutoring estimation system which is conveniently considered to user on the internet environment. The proposed system is divided into teacher and student modules, which have the functions of the new problem insertion and deletion in database, regular examination marking for the former and lecture/test selection, scoring look, etc for the letter. The environment of server system in this thesis is implemented using the IDC file and SQL database for internet access based on Windows NT, client systems are composed to Windows 95 environment based on Explorer or Netscape to access for interactive tutoring systems.

현대 사회는 정보화 사회이다. 이러한 흐름은 사회 모든 분야에 응용되어 사용되고 있다. 특히 컴퓨터를 이용한 교육분야에 있어서는 Text 에 의존된 교육에서 멀티미디어를 이용, 실제 상황에 근접한 상황학습을 통한 시스템이 개발 사용되고 있다. 장애인 재활 교육에 있어서도 멀티미디어를 이용한 상황학습은 장애인의 교육에 많은 도움을 줄 것이다. 이 논문은 장애인의 사회 적응을 위한 재활 교육 시스템에서 장애인들에게 어떠한 교육을 할 것인지를 결정하고 실행하는 Tutoring Module이다.

In this paper, we present an Example-based Dialogue System for English conversation tutoring. It aims to provide intelligent one-to-one English conversation tutoring instead of old fashioned language education with static multimedia materials. This system can understand poor expressions of students and it enables green hands to engage in a dialogue in spite of their poor linguistic ability, which gives students interesting motivation to learn a foreign language. And this system also has educational functionalities to improve the linguistic ability. To achieve these goals, we have developed a statistical natural language understanding module for understanding poor expressions and an example-based dialogue manager with high domain scalability and several effective tutoring methods.

We propose the intelligent tutoring system for the mobile english learning. The proposed system is based on the item response theory to analyze the level of learner. We define the types of item, teaching method and item disposition according to contents modeling. The system estimates the learner level and it gives the learning contents, the evaluation results, and feedback. The system gives those by inference engine which consists of learner's level estimation value, method diagnostic value and disposition diagnostic value.

In this paper, we propose the multimedia tutoring system that provides multimedia learning contents for english Loaming on mobile environment. In order to design and implement the system, we have developed mobile multimedia contents from contents modeling based on the types of item, but also mobile interface to provide learning contents for learners effectively under limitation of mobile environment. The contents server in this system creates multimedia learning contents as XML document for each learner and provides those to learners through mobile interface using Wireless Application Protocol at anytime and anyplace.

This paper is to introduce 'Dr. Speaking', which was recently developed by Eonon Inc.. 'Dr. Speaking' is an English pronunciation tutoring system. This has three distinguishing features. First, it teaches how to organize a speaker's vocal organs to pronounce accurately. Second, after it compares a speaker's pronunciation with that of a native speaker's, it grades that speaker's pronunciation level according to phonetic standards. Third, it provides proper information necessary for correcting a speaker's incorrect pronunciation. It is not always easy for a tutoring system to execute the above three almost simutaneously. However, 'Dr. Speaking' proved itself that it is possible by adding speech technology (e.g. speech recognition) to phonetic knowledge.
