간호전달 체계 개선 방안 - 일 병동을 중심으로 - (Nursing Delivery System Improvement Plan in A Hospital)

  • Background : In many Nursing Delivery System, Nursing Department at D Hospital had used to traditional nursing practice model what is called functional activities based system. It has a lot of merit that carried out specialized and rapid works but tend to ignore indivisual professional responsibility and task-based work assignments. In addition this system showed high turnover rates due to heavy workload, timesum of handing over duties, lack of support from peers and interstaff communication. So we performed conversion of Nursing Delivery System to My Patients Nursing Care System for providing comprehensive nursing to patient and reducing turnover rates and increasing job satisfaction to nurse. Method : 1. 1st step(96.4.9): Detected the problem of Nursing delivery System and estabilished improving planning 2. 2nd step(96.4.26): Visited other hospital on job training 3. 3th step(96.4.29): Discussed to premonitoring problem after conversion Nursing Delivery System and prepared structure 4. 4th step(96.5.6): My Patients Nursing Care System practical application 5. 5th step(96.7.20): Held complementary meeting 6. 6th step(96. 7): The other ward application 7. 7th step(96. 10): Extended application to whole wards Results: 1. Workload: (1) reduction(55.6%) (2) addition(44.4%) 2. Strong points after conversion: (1) decreased timesum of handing overduties (35.2%) (2) increased responsibility(33%) (3) broaden nurse's outlook to duties(14.8%) 3. Shortcoming after conversion: (1) understanding difficulties except my patient(57.8%) (2) weak teamwork(23.3%) (3) intensive stress to low grade nurse(12.2%) 4. Effective complemental way: (1) manpower(76.7%) (2) conversion of though (8.9%) (3) education(14.4%) 5. Patient's satisfaction: (1) satisfaction(64%) (2) no effect(36%) 6. Want to continued: (1) want(76.4%) (2) try to any other system(18%) Conclusion : Even though Nursing Delivery System conversion still has many problem, we gained more merits than traditional nursing delivery system. So we suggest that My Patients Nursing Care System should be encouraged for comprehensive nursing care and satisfaction to nurses.

인공지능을 이용한 신규간호사 이직률 예측 (Artificial Intelligence to forecast new nurse turnover rates in hospital)

  • 본 연구에서는 인공지능 기술 중 구글에서 개발하여 오픈소스로 제공하고 있는 텐서플로우(Tensorflow) 활용하여 신규간호사 이직률을 예측해 보았고, 이를 통해 전략적 인적자원관리 방안을 제시하였다. 부산지역 한 대학병원의 2010년에서 2017년 사이 퇴직한 간호사 데이터 1,018건을 수집하였다. 학습에 사용된 자료는 순서를 임의로 재배열 한 뒤 전체 데이터의 80%를 학습에, 나머지 20%를 테스트에 이용하였다. 활용된 알고리즘은 다중신경망회로(multiple neural network)로서 입력층과 출력층, 3개 층의 은닉층을 가지도록 설계 되었다. 본 연구의 결과 텐서플로우 플랫폼을 활용하여 1년 이내 이직률을 88.7%, 3년 이내 조기 이직률은 79.8%의 정확도로 예측하였고, 대상자들의 퇴직 시 연령은 20대 후반부터 30대에 집중되어 있었다. 가장 높은 빈도를 차지한 이직 사유로는 '결혼, 출산, 육아, 가정 및 개인사정'이었으나, 근무기간 1년 이하 대상자 들의 가장 높은 이직사유는 '업무 부적응 및 대인관계 문제'로 나타났다.

Dynamics of Carbon Sequestered in Concentric Layers of Soil Macroaggregates

  • Methods used to study carbon sequestration by soil aggregates have often excluded the concentric spatial variability and other dynamic processes that contribute to resource accessibility and solute transport within aggregates. We investigated the spatial gradients of carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) from the exterior to interior layers within macroaggregates, $6.3\sim9.5$ mm, sampled from conventional tillage (CT) and no tillage (NT) sites of a Hoytville silt clay loam. Spatial gradients in C accumulation within macroaggregates were related to the differences in C dynamics by determining the sizes and the turnover rates of fast C and slow C pools in the concentric layers of aggregates. Aggregate exteriors contained more labile C and were characterized by greater C mineralization rates than their interiors in both management systems. In contrast, C in the interior layers of aggregates was more resistant in both systems. These results indicated the spatial differentiation of C dynamics within macroaggregates, i.e., exterior layers as a reactive site and interior layers as a protective site. Greater total C distribution in the exterior layers of NT aggregates indicated more influx of C from the macropores in interaggregate space than C. mineralization (net gain of C), whereas lower C distribution within the exterior layers of CT aggregates indicated net loss of C by greater C mineralization than C influx. We found total C increased approximately 1.6-fold by the conversion of CT soils to NT management systems for a period of 36 years. Differences in total accumulation and the spatial distribution of C within aggregates affected by management were attributed to the differences in aggregate stability and pore networks controlling the spatial heterogeneities of resource availability and microbial activity within aggregates.

IMS 인증유지기간이 경영성과에 미치는 영향 (Impact for Financial Performance of Small & Medium-Sized Firms by Maintenance Period of IMS Certification)

  • 본 논문에서는 정보화경영체제 인증을 받은 국내 중소기업을 대상으로 인증 유지기간이 재무지표와 어떤 관계에 있는지를 분석하였다. 인증의 유지기간과 재무비율 간의 관계를 알아보기 위하여 단계별 회귀분석을 이용하여 분석하였다. 실증분석의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, IMS 인증유지간에 대한 차이분석 결과 기업의 위험성을 나타내는 유동비율, 부채비율 및 고정장기적합률이 인증기간이 길수록 개선되는 것으로 유의하게 나타났다. 이결과는 IMS 인증이 기업의 위험성을 감소시키는 효과가 있는 것으로 추정된다. 둘째, 인증 유지기간에 대한 상관관계분석 결과 일부 변수간에 높은 상관관계를 나타내었다. 따라서 다중공선성의 문제를 회피하기 위하여 단계별 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 단계별 회귀분석 결과 고정장기적합률과 매출액증가율 두개의 변수가 유의한 결과를 보였다. 이와 같은 연구결과는 인증 유지기간이 길수록 고정장기적합률은 낮아지며, 매출액증가율은 증가하는 것을 의미한다.

Role of plastidic glucose transporter in source metabolism of Arabidopsis

  • To study the biochemical and physiological role of the plastidic glucose transporter (pGlcT) in carbohydrate metabolism, we characterized transgenic plants with mutations in the pGlcT gene (GT), gt-1 and gt-2, as well double mutants of GT and the maltose transporter (MEX1) and GT and the triose phosphate/phosphate translocator (TPT), GT and the cytosolic fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase gene (cFBP), and MEX1 and TPT, gt-1/mex2, gt-1/tpt-2, gt-1/cfbp-1, mex1-1/tpt-2, respectively. Compared to the wild type, all mutants except the gt-1/cfbp-1 mutant lines displayed higher starch accumulation and higher levels of maltose. Starch accumulation is due to a decrease in starch turnover, leading to an imbalance between the rates of synthesis and degradation. Sucrose levels of gt alleles were higher than those in wild-type plants during the light period, suggesting possible nightly supplementation via the maltose transport pathway to maintain proper carbohydrate partitioning in the plant leaves. The gt plants displayed less growth retardation than mex1-1 mutant and gt-1/mex2 double mutant displayed accumulativesevere growth retardation as compared to individual gt-1 and mex1-1 mutants, implying that the maltose transporter-mediated pathway is a major route for carbohydrate partitioning at night. The gt-1/tpt-2, mex1-1/tpt-2 and gt-1/cfbp-1 double mutants had retarded growth and low chlorophyll content to differing degrees, indicating that photosynthetic capacity had diminished. Interestingly, the gt-1/tpt-2 line displayed a glucose-insensitive phenotype and higher germination rates than wild type, suggesting its involvement not only in carbon partitioning, but also in the sugar signaling network of the pGlcT and TPT.

Nutrient dynamics in decomposing litter from four selected tree species in Makurdi, Benue State, Nigeria

  • Background: Nutrient release during litter decomposition was investigated in Vitex doniana, Terminalia avecinioides, Sarcocephallus latifolius, and Parinari curatellifolius in Makurdi, Benue State Nigeria (January 10 to March 10 and from June 10 to August 10, 2016). Leaf decomposition was measured as loss in mass of litter over time using the decay model Wt/W0 = e-kd t, while $Kd=-{\frac{1}{t}}In({\frac{Wt}{W0}})$ was used to evaluate decomposition rate. Time taken for half of litter to decompose was measured using T50 = ln 2/k; while nutrient accumulation index was evaluated as $NAI=(\frac{{\omega}t\;Xt}{{\omega}oXo})$. Results: Average mass of litter remaining after exposure ranged from 96.15 g, (V. doniana) to 78.11 g, (S. lafolius) in dry (November to March) and wet (April to October) seasons. Decomposition rate was averagely faster in the wet season (0.0030) than in the dry season (0.0022) with P. curatellifolius (0.0028) and T. avecinioides (0.0039) having the fastest decomposition rates in dry and wet seasons. Mean residence time (days) ranged from 929 to 356, while the time (days) for half the original mass to decompose ranged from 622 to 201 (dry and wet seasons). ANOVA revealed highly significant differences (p < 0.01) in decomposition rates and exposure time (days) and a significant interaction (p < 0.05) between species and exposure time in both seasons. Conclusion: Slow decomposition in the plant leaves implied carbon retention in the ecosystem and slow release of CO2 back to the atmosphere, while nitrogen was mineralized in both seasons. The plants therefore showed effectiveness in nutrient cycling and support productivity in the ecosystem.

토픽모델링 기법을 활용한 산업별 직무만족요인 비교 조사 : 잡플래닛 리뷰를 중심으로 (Comparative Analysis of Job Satisfaction Factors, Using LDA Topic Modeling by Industries : The Case Study of Job Planet Reviews)

  • As unemployment rates and concerns about turnover keep growing, the need for information is also increasing. In these situations, the job reviews which share information about the company catch people's attention because they are usually created by people who worked at the company. The development of SNS and mobile environments has led to an increase in the web services that provide job reviews. For example, Jobplanet is a job review service in Korea, and Glassdoor.com offers a similar service in the US. Despite this attention, however, research utilizing job reviews is insufficient. This paper asks whether there are differences in ratios of job satisfaction factors by industry, using LDA topic modeling and co-occurrence analysis to explore the differences. Through the results of LDA, we find that the ratios of job satisfaction factors are similar by industry. At the same time, the results of co-occurrence analysis show that the co-occurrence frequency of some job satisfaction factors appears high: pay and welfare, balance of work and life, company culture. We expect that the result of this research will be helpful in comparative analysis of job satisfaction factors by industry. Furthermore, in this paper we suggest how to use the job review data in organizational behavior research.

보건관리자가 인지한 근로자 건강증진 프로그램 수행 실태에 관한 업종별 비교: 요구도, 필요도, 수행도, 장애도 및 운영효과를 중심으로 (Comparison of Occupational Health Providers' Perception on Workers' Health Promotion Program by Business Types: Focusing on Need, Necessity, Performance, Barriers, and Effectiveness of Program)

  • Purpose: The purposes of this study were to examine the differences in need, necessity, performance, barriers, and effectiveness of workers' health promotion program and to determine the influencing factors in effectiveness of workers' health promotion program by business types. Methods: Subjects were participants of an education held by Korean association of occupational health nurses and a survey was self-reported. Survey items were developed by researchers through literature review. It included general characteristics of occupational health providers and worksites, need, necessity, performance, barriers and effectiveness of workers' health promotion (WHP) program. The total number of worksites was 168, manufacturing/construction was 76 (45.2%), other services were 52 (31.0%), and healthcare services were 40 (23.8%). We used ${\chi}^2test$, ANOVA test, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. Results: There were differences in need, necessity and performance of WHP by business types. In healthcare services, WHP had statistically significant effectiveness to reduce turnover rates. And the influencing factors of WHP's effectiveness were workers' need in manufacturing/construction, health provider's career in other services, and perceived necessity in healthcare services. Conclusion: Based on this result, we propose differentiated strategies depending on the business types for effective workers' health promotion program.

Effect of GnRH or Estradiol on Emergence of a New Follicular Wave, Follicular Development and Pregnancy Rate in a CIDR-Based Timed Al Protocol in Holstein Cows

  • The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of GnRH or estradiol in a CIDR-based timed Al (TAI) protocol on follicular turnover, synchronized ovulation and pregnancy rates in Holstein cows. Cows were treated at random stages of the estrus cycle with an insertion of an intravigal progesterone (1.9 g) device (CIDR, Day 0) and either no other treatment (control group; n=10), injection of 100 ug fertirelin acetate (GnRH group; n=10) or 4 mg estradiol benzoate (estradiol group; n=10). Seven days later devices were removed and an injection of 25 mg $PGF_{2$\alpha$}$ was administered. On Day 9, 100 ug GnRH was administered. Cows received a fixed-time insemination 16 h after injection of the GnRH. (중략)

정수장 활성탄 여과지의 생물막과 그 활성도 (Biofilms and their Activity in Granular Activated Carbons Established in a Drinking Water Treatment Plant)

  • Bacterial biomass and its activity were measured in two kinds of granular activated carbon (GAC), the experimental and existing biofiltration system in a drinking water plant. The bacterial biomass was around 210 to 250 nmol P/g WW with phospholipid concentration at acclimation of ozonation treatment. The phospholipid biomass shows more or less a declining gradient along filter depth and no clear seasonality in its values. On the other hand, the microbial activity of [$^3H$]-thymidine and [$^{14}C$]-acetate incorporation within cells increased significantly along the filter depth, showing the difference of three fold between the upper and bottom layer. These factors support the different microbial composition or metabolic activity along the depth of GAC column. Turnover rates, the rate of bacterial biomass and production of biofilm, ranged from 0.26 /hr to 0.37 /hr, indicating a highly rapid recovery itself at amature state. In the non-ozonation treatment, the bacterial biomass was lower than in the ozonation and biological activity also declined towards the filter depth. The biomass levels during cessation of ozonation in the existing GAC filters were 68% of the actively ozonated state.
