Purpose - Service employees who work at airline check-in counters in airport are typically employed to undergo emotional labor. Emotional labor of airport service employees is an important managerial issue that must be solved. This study attempts to examine the underlying mechanism of emotional labor on turnover intention. It focuses on the consequences of emotional labor of service employees. The purpose of this study is to examine and empirically test how the two-types of emotional labor(deep-acting & surface-acting) of service employees differently affect the level of their job satisfaction and job stress. It also investigates the relationship between job satisfaction, job stress, and turnover intention. For this purpose, first, this study identified the structural relationship between emotional labor, job satisfaction, job stress, and turnover intention. Second, it investigated the mediating effects of job satisfaction between deep-acting and turnover intention. Research design, data, and methodology - To empirically test these structural relationships among research variables, data were collected by a interview from service manager of domestic airline companies and survey from 179 service employees who are working at single domestic airline check-in counters in airports in Korea using a self-rating questionnaire with total 19 items dealing with emotional labor, job satisfaction, job stress, and turnover intention. To test the research hypotheses, collected data were analyzed by confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structure equation model (SEM). Results - This study obtains meaningful research results. The results from this study are as follows. First, deep-acting has a positive effect on job satisfaction, whereas, deep-acting has a negative effect on job satisfaction. Second, surface-acting has a positive effect on job stress, whereas, the effects of surface-acting on job satisfaction did not show statistically significant result. Also, job satisfaction has partial mediating roles to the relationship between deep-acting and turnover intention. Conclusions - Based on the results of this empirical study, emotional labor of service employees is one of the key factors influencing their job satisfaction and job stress. In particular, deep-acting is the important factor in emotional labor to increase job satisfaction and reduce job stress. Finally, theoretical, managerial implications, and research limitations are mentioned in discussion parts.
Based on the previous research that the social responsibility of a for-profit company has a positive effect on the decrease in turnover intention, we examine the effect of CSR of a non-profit organization, hospital, on the turnover intention of members of the organization. We collected data through questionnaire surveys for medical institution workers, and conducted exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis using this data. The analysis showed that HSR had a significant effect on organizational trust, and that hospital members' organizational trust had a negative impact on turnover. In conclusion, HSR Had a significant effect on the turnover. Therefore, medical institution managers have to recognize the effect of HSR on decreasing the turnover and carry out HSR for effective management. By identifying the impacts of hospital social responsibility activities that reduce the intention of employees to turn over, it is possible to contribute to the efficient operation of medical institutions, As a future research task, it is necessary to increase the generality of research by broadening the distribution of members.
The purpose of this study is to define the relationships among the emotional labor, job satisfaction, and turnover intention of beauty industry workers. The data for this study were collected through a survey, and a total of 197 questionnaires were used in the statistical analysis. The survey items were classified into 4 domains: demographic characteristics, emotional labor, job satisfaction, and turnover intention. This study extracted factors that compose each measurement domain to define the impact of emotional labor on job satisfaction or turnover intention. According to the research results, 3 factors - positive norm, sincere behavior, and emotional incongruity - were extracted for emotional labor. Individual aptitude satisfaction and work environment satisfaction were extracted as the factors for job satisfaction, whereas a single factor was extracted for turnover intention. By analyzing the effect of factors related to the emotional labor of beauty in dustry workers on factors related to job satisfaction, results showed that positive norm positively influenced individual aptitude satisfaction, sincere behavior positively influenced individual aptitude satisfaction and work environment satisfaction, and emotional incongruity negatively influenced individual aptitude satisfaction. Among factors related to emotional labor, positive norm and sincere behavior negatively affected turnover intention, whereas emotional incongruity positively influenced turnover intention. With regard to the effect of job satisfaction on the turnover intention of beauty industry workers, results showed that individual aptitude satisfaction and job environment satisfaction negatively (-) affected turnover intention. The results of this study show that people presenting a high level of individual aptitude satisfaction displayed positive job satisfaction, whereas people showing serious emotional incongruity for work presented high turnover intention. This implies that in order to increase the work efficiency of beauty businesses, it is essential to examine and manage the emotional labor of workers as a measure for increasing job satisfaction and lowering turnover.

I made the theoretical proposed model to explain these relationships between the constructs, identify the operational definitions and 18 hypotheses was established, there was executed the survey of 262 in employees. Using the collected data, previous performances to confirm the construct validity and internal consistency by EFA(Exploratory Factor Analysis); i.e. factor analysis by SPSS, reliability by cronbach's a, and by the CFA(Confirmative Factor Analysis) and structural equations modelling the proposed model was tested by LISREL v. 8.52. The research came to the conclusions as follows: First, three perceived justice had the positive effect to the job satisfaction empirically. Second, procedural justice in three perceived justice only had the positive effect to the organizational trust empirically. Third, distributive justice in three perceived justice only had the positive effect to the organizational commitment empirically.
