  • Hypersonic analysis on the KSR-III payload configuration has been performed using an axisymmetric Navier-Stokes code. A numerical code based on the Harten and Yee's upwind TVD scheme with simplified curve fits in the equilibrium chemically reacting air was developed. The carbuncle phenomenon on detached shock in front of the payload is controlled by using pressure gradients to tune the dissipation. Equilibrium chemically reacting computations for reentry flight conditions of Mach no. 10.2, 8, 4.9 are presented and compared with the results of calorically perfect gas.

  • We introduce an advanced mountain clustering method which uses a normalized data space, a gaussian type mountain function and a deconstruction method using mountain slope. This is more useful than Yagers mountain method because it needs just one parameter to tune instead of three and finds out more resonable cluster centers. Computational examples are presented to show the validity of the advanced mountain method.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the actual condition of labor during the marriage by estimating the total labor-time of husband and wife and to prove the contribution of labor-time to household. The statistical life-time research data of Bureau of Statistics were used to prove the overwork of wives compared with husbands during the marriage. The result of the study can help to prove the wife's contribution of labor-time to household.

  • 본 논문에서는 요람기부터 해방을 전후한 시기의 대중가요의 선율 유형을 연구하고자 하였다. 총 109 편의 가요를 분석하는 방법으로서 작품의 첫 제시에 사용된 선율 유형들을 분류하였으며 그 결과 일련의 '선율 그룹(tune family)'이 도출되었다. 이렇듯 유사한 선율들을 범주화하는 작업을 통해 초기 대중가요의 음악적 성격을 이론화하는 것이 본 논문의 목적이다.

  • In this paper, the inverter spot welding system with high efficiency via an instantaneous power control is presented. In spot welding, instantaneous power control is utilized in order to attain less spatter and high welding performance. Also we proposed a PI controller for spot welder system using Evolution Strategy(ES) with varying search space. ES with varying search space which depends on fitness values at each generation is used to tune PI control parameters

  • In this paper auto-tuning scheme of PID controller based on the reference model has been studied by immune algorithm for a process. Up to this time, many sophisticated tuning algorithms have been tried in order to improve the PID controller performance under such difficult conditions. However, in the actual plant, they are manually tuned through a trial and error procedure, and the derivative action is switched off. Therefore, it is difficult to tune. Simulation results by immune based tuning reveal that tuning approaches suggested in this paper is an effective approach to search for optimal or near optimal process control.

  • This paper proposes a modified fuzzy controller using a neural network. This controller can automatically identify expert's control rules and tune membership functions utilizing expert's control data. Identificaton capability of the fuzzy controller is examined using simple numerical data. The results show that the network in this paper can identify nonlinear systems more precisely than conventional fuzzy controller using neural network.

  • This paper presents a fuzzy adaptive controller which can improve the control policy automatically. Adaptation is achieved by the addition of on-line identification of the fuzzy inverse model using input-output data pairs of the process. Starting with an initial crude control rule, the adaptive controller matches the model to the process to self-tune the controller. The control algorithm needs much less memory of computer than other SOC algorithms.

  • On-line robust control based on a stability index for time-delay systems has been developed. The purpose of the proposed design algorithm is to on-line tune a filter in the control loop. The problem of robust control with an incorrect given bound on the modeling error is investigated. Illustrative examples are presented to show the promise of the proposed method.
