It has been reported that Back-Tension played a significant role in archery (Lee & Bondit, 2005; Kim, 2007) but there are a few researches related Back-Tension in Korea recently. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate archery back tension technique for the second ranked archer in the World and to find ways to improve performance. A subject(height: 185cm, mass: 82kg, years: 21yrs, careers: 12yrs) who is a number of national team and the second ranked archer in the World authorized by FITA (Federation Internationale de Trial Arc) was perticipated in this experiment. When shooting 60 shots($12{\times}5$), shooting motions were recorded with 7 infrared cameras and 2 ultrahigh-speed cameras. A QTM and an Auto Track were used to acquire raw data. The sampling rates of both cameras were 200 Hz. and 1000 Hz. respectively and data were filtered using a fourth order Butterworth low pass filtering with a cutoff-frequency of 30Hz. The parameters were calculated with Matlab6.5 and analyzed with SPSS11.0. After Pearson's correlations between 8 parameters were analyzed, 5 parameters from 13parameters that affected records were analyzed with multiple regression analysis (Enter order: x1, x2, x3, x4, x5). The results were as follows: 1. Comparing between parameters according to scores, the patterns of horizontal and vertical angular velocity(av.) of scapular relative angle was different between 8 score and 9 or 10 scores. 2. The correlations of parameters that affected records were a horizontal av.(x1, p=.032<.05) and a vertical av.(x3, p=.033<.05) of scapular from release to delivery in KB back-tension (anchoring-delivery). 3. The decision coefficients(R2) of above two parameters and three parameters selected by experts that may affect record, that is, an absolute trunk angle(x4) from in KKC back-tension (anchoring-release) and a horizontal relative scapular angle(x2) and an absolute trunk angle(x5) from release to delivery in KB back-tension were 7.7%(x1), 0.1%(x2), 8.5%(x3), 0.7%(x4) and 0.9%(x5) in sequence. 4. The multiple regression equation was a y= -1.16E-2 x1 + 0.109 x2 + 3.437E-2 x3 + 6.139E-2 x4 + 0.117 x5 + 3.420 In conclusion, a total contribution was low, that is, R2(17.9%) suggested that on the one hand, Lim's motion may not depend on a certain factor because his postural factors affected shooting motion are some stable on the other hand, unknown factors may exist(e.g. psychological, physiological factors etc.). Further study of EMG patterns of muscles and anatomic consideration related to shoulder girdle and scapular bones may help to identify mechanism of Back-Tension.

The purpose of this study is to search effect that GCM joint treatment gets to right and left range of motion of neck, lumbar, trunk and anke joint. Estimated body deformity using GCM body type assesment chart then measured range of motion of each region. After control group did as act freely after do experiment premeasurement control group did postmeasurement. Each region was measured by measurer who each subject person differs. Experimental group did GCM joint treatment and all measurements each region by measurer who each subject person differs three times measured. When measure with each measurement, measured after leave and walk time interval for 10 minutes. For the analysis of the resulr of experiment the results is change amount comparison increased to keep in mind except ankle joint's dorsiflexion before experiment of experimental group and control group(P<.05). Before an experiment and after an experiment of experimental group, differed to keep in mind in right and left comparison of neck rotation, dorsiflexion, plantaflexin of ankle joint in change amount comparison(P<.05). Neck lateral flexion appears and displayed significantly level right and left difference than rotation after experiment of experimental group(P<.05). Because dorsiflexion, plantefleaion of ankle joint became similar right and left significantly difference did not appear(P<.05).
The purpose of this study was to investigate interjoint and intersegmental coordination of lower segments in skill process. For the investigation, we examined the difference of resultant linear velocity of segments and angle vs angle graph. Novice subjects were 9 male middle school students who have never been experienced a taekwondo. We analyzed kinematic variables of Side Kick motion through videographical analysis. The conclusions were as follows. 1. Examining the graph of novice subjects' maximal resultant linear velocity of the thigh, shank, and foot segment, as it gets closer to the end of the training, the maximal resultant linear velocity in each segment increases which can be assumed to be a result of the effective momentum transfer between adjacent segments. 2 This research showed a sequential transfer from trunk, to thigh, and then to shank as it gets closer to the end of learning at intersegment angular velocity, and it also showed pattern of throwlike motion and pushlike motion. 3. In three dimension of flexion-extension, adduction-abduction and internal-external rotation of the thigh and shank segment, the angle-angle diagram of knee joint and of hip joint showed that dynamic change was indicated at the beginning of learning but stable coordination pattern was indicated like skilled subject as novice subjects became skilled.
The purpose of this study was to compare pflugbogen's biomechanical characteristics between on the ski simulator and snowed ski slope to develop interactive ski simulator. Nine ski instructors(sex: male, age: $29.6{\pm}5.4yrs$, height: $176.0{\pm}5.6cm$, body mass: $76.0{\pm}14.0kg$) belong to Korean Ski Instructors Association participated in this research. 24 Infrared cameras for snowed ski slope experiment and 13 infrared camera for ski simulator experiment were installed near by path of pflugbogen. The participants did pflugbogen on the snowed ski slope and the ski simulator both. During the experiment, the participants weared motion capture suit with infrared reflective makers on it, and plantar pressure sensors in ski boots, so that ski motion and plantar pressure data were collected together. Displacement of COG(center of gravity) movements, trunk flexion/extension angle, adduction/abduction angle, and plantar pressure data were significantly different between on the simulator and ski slope. However, percentage of time of COG movement in the phases during medial/lateral and anterior/posterior movement were not significantly different. Findings indicate that the difference between two groups occurred because the ski simulator's drive mechanism is different from ski motion on the slope. In order to develop the ski simulator more interactively for pflugbogen, the ski simulator's drive mechanism need to be reflected 3D motion data of pflugbogen on the slope that were purposed in this research.
Many reaearchers have reproted that poor body postures are associated with pains or symptoms of musculoskeletal dissoders. Therefore, the ergonomic evaluation of postural stresses as well as biomechanical stresses is important when a job such as automobile assembly tasks involves highly repetitive and/or prolonged poor body postures. A macropostural classification shema was developed to characterise various body postures occurring in automobile assembly tasks in the study. To specify a postural code and stress level to each body posture, perceived joint discomforts were subjectively evaluated in the lab experiments for the full range of motion in five human body joints. Based on the reaults, a postural classification scheme was developed where the full range of motion in each body joint was classified into several codes repressenting different stress levels. The automobile tasks were clustered into 12 types based on the result walk-in-surveillance and the possible posture codes for each task type are defined. I was exposed that the poor postural problems in automobile assembly tasks were concerned in most part with arms, trunk and neck. Application of te developed schema to seven operations in automobile assembly tasks showed that the schema can be used as a tool to identify the operations and tasks involving highly stressful body postures. The schema can also be utilised as a basis to prioritise the candidate assembly operations for redesign of work methods.
The Purpose of this study was to examine the kinematic analysis of the upper-limb motion of wheelchair basketball free throw shooting. Three-dimensional kinematic data were obtained from 8 male wheelchair basketball players performing a successful free throw. Players were divided into three groups, according to their IWBF classification(Group 1: 1 point players, Group 2: 2-2.5point players and Group 3:3.5-4 point players) Wheelchair basketball free throw motions were taken by video camera. The three-dimensional coordinates was processed by DLT. Players from Group 1 and 2 tended to release the ball from a lower height, with greater velocity and release angle. Players from Group 1 showed greater shoulder horizontal adduction and horizontal abduction angle, wrist ulnar flexion and radial flexion angle, and trunk angle. but players from Group 2 appeared lower shoulder abduction. Upper limb angular velocity showed most greatly in hands from Group 1, upperarm from Group 2, and forearm from Group 3.
The basic pattern of skirt should be functional in addition to be fit the body. The author paid special attention to the expansion and contraction of the shell which were made the lower trunk and thigh caused by sitting motions. The replicas of the shell were taken by using a gypsum method on 1 female under 4 standardized motions; standing motion, (basic motion), sitting on the chair with flextion 90' at the hip and the knee joints sitting with dropping knees, and sitting with benting legs side wards. Those replicas obtained were developed to the patterns and changes in shape and area of those were measured. Typical displacement and transformation of the shell surface patterns were showed geographycally fig 5-1 to 5-4. mean values of expansion and constriction were obtained by measuring the shell surface on 60 female under the 4 motions. the mean values of it were showed numerically in Table 1-1 to 1-3. The following results were obtained; 1. Vertical constriction of front of the shell were observed near sulcus in guinalis, and vertical extension were near the knees. Horizontal extension were observed near the thighs and the knees. 2. Vertical constrictions of the back of the shell were observed near the knees. It seemed to be influnced the flexion angles of knee points. vertical extension were near gluteus and thighs. Horizontal constriction were small, and horizonlal extension were near gluteus. 3. The high rates of constriction and extension were found near sulcus in guinalis, glutes, and knees. 4. The rates of constriction and extension on the waist line were very low. 5. The highest values of constriction and extension were found in hip and knees.
The purpose of this research was to investigate the differences in the ski carving turn motion according to level of expertise. The posture and movement of 6 skiers nearby the fall-line was evaluated with a biomechanical approach focusing the rotational mechanics. The slope was at an angle of $9^{\circ}$ and the following variables were measured and calculated: tangential velocity, change of COM height after passing fall-line, width between feet, angle between upper body and thigh, trunk angle, average radius of curvature and average centripetal force. The expert skiers minimized their center of mass height movement and maintained the width of between their feet after the passing the fall-line in comparison with the beginners and intermediate skiers. The experts restrained themselves from pushing their upper body downward after the turn to maximize the centripetal force. The experts in comparison with the beginners and intermediate skiers during the turn didn't have to reduce their radius of curvature to maintain a high centripetal force. It was concluded, that the most important factor affecting the centripetal force, was for the beginners and intermediate skiers, to minimize their movement while using the appropriate amount of edging.
This study examined the double piked dismount among the landing techniques of parallel bars based on three-dimensional motion analysis. Four male national gymnasts were the subjects. This study was performed to provide quantitative data highlighting players strengths and weaknesses to enable more stable landing technique. The variables analyzed were the position and velocity of center of gravity(CG) and angles of shoulder joints, hip joints, and trunk. The results are as follows: S1 secured the height of flight with fast vertical rise. After the easy spin in the air, he conducted a stable landing maintaining a proper hip joints angle. S2, S3, and S4, however, began the backward somersault already before leaving the bars, so they moved backward greatly making it more difficult to achieve a higher flight path. As a result, they couldn't control the velocity of their backward movement at landing. For a stable landing, they have to maintain the negative shoulder angle when rising, minimize both antero-posterioror side-to-side movements by doing a strong tap using hip joints, to secure the height of flight before the somersault. Results also show that at the descent, they should conduct rapid spinning by increasing their shoulder and hip joints to the maximum while controlling their velocity.
Objective: The purpose of this study is to suggest new terminology for the ninety-five hand techniques based on the significance of their angular momentum, determined by analyzing each technique's influence or impact on the compartmentalized angular momentum of the trunk, upper arm, and forearm in the Taekwondo Poomsae. Method: An athlete who won the 2014 World Taekwondo Poomsae championship was selected and agreed to participate in the data collection phase of our investigation. The video data was collected using eight infrared cameras (Oqus 300, Qualysis, Sweden) and the Qualisys Track Manager software (Qualisys, Sweden). The angular momentum of each movement was then calculated using the Matlab R2009a software (The Mathworks, Inc., USA). Results: The classification of the ninety-five hand techniques in the Taekwondo Poomsae based on the significance of each segment's momentum is as follows. Makgi (blocking) is classified into fourteen categories, jireugi (punching) is classified into three categories, chigi (hitting) was classified into six categories, palgupchigi (elbow hitting) was classified into four categories, and jjireugi (thrusting) was classified two categories. Conclusion: This study offers a new approach, based on a biomechanical method, to the classification of the hand techniques that reflect kinesthetic motions in the Taekwondo Poomsae.
