These days, with the emphasis on statistical literacy, the importance of communication is the focus of attention. Communication about statistics is important since it is a way of describing the understanding of concepts and the interpretation of data. However, students usually have trouble with expressing what they understand, especially through writing. In this paper, we examined preservice teachers' difficulties when they wrote about statistical concepts. By comparing preservice teachers' written responses and interview transcripts of the variance concept task, we could find the missing information in their written language compared to their verbal language. From the results, we found that preservice teachers had difficulty in connecting terms contextually and conceptually, presenting various factors of the concepts that they considered, and presenting the problem solving strategies that they used.

All singers can often develop voice trouble secondary to vocal abuse and overuse, but it is well known that traditional Korean singer (pansori) develop voice disorders more frequently than western style sunger. While laryngological concern for voice disorders arising in professional singers has received some attention, empirically motivated investigations of the underlying acoustic features of the singing voice have been relatively limited. Since all singers have a good knowledge of the voice and voice training, they would hardly give consent for treatment to a doctor unless he understood their desire to maximize their voice quality. The components of this report are composed of breathing, basic ekement, and vocalization, essencial fact, for getting a perfect voice for pansori. The breathing is based on hypogastric breathing. The main functions of breathing are energy and power of utterence, tempo of rhythm and seperating paragraph and controlling feelings according to dramatic situation. Vocalization is based on general vocalization. Main uses of it are maintaining singer's tone and harmony of cosmetic dual force.

This study is to find out the acceptance intention of international logistics platform which meet the needs of each other of shipper and international logistics company in the online. As you may know, the many korean traditional international logistics companies which have to compete with global logistics companies focused on economics of scale, have been in a big trouble. In this circumstances, though they should get used to the change to survive, they do not know what they try to overcome. So, I hope that this study would be helpful to them.

At present, almost circuits are wired using copper in flexible circuits. But, these circuit have limit to flexibility so it occurs fracture about cyclic bending and, thermal load of bending stress occur a circuit trouble. a study of all-polymer flexible circuits get over that problem. Established fabrication method of all-polymer circuits is photolithograph. This method can not have mass production, so this method wastes time and human effort. In this study, all polymer flexible circuits are fabricated using the inkjet process.

This paper is concerned with the design of roller profiles in tube/pipe straightener with both methods of Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Engineering. Design analysis is carried out from two point of view. The one is the research in the minimization of tube pitch which was very important factor in levelling process. In order to minimize tube pitch, profiles of the roller were calculated so that the contact region between roller and tube was maximized. The other is determination of an optimum amount of intermesh for the proper progress without a jam in levelling process. Generally the jamming trouble was casued by excessive amount of intermesh in levelling process. The optimum amount of intermesh was determined through the finite element analysis.

Every mechanical system has a series of natural frequencies at which it will vibrate and to which it will respond if an external stimulus or excitation at this frequency is applied. Vibration is not of itself dangerous, and is always anticipated in an operating unit. However, if the frequency of operation is coincidental with one of the natural frequency of the blade system or the blade has a natural frequency near coincide with the exciting stimulus, then the amplitude of vibration of the blade may increase to the destructive damage can result. In this paper We investigated damage of blade when turbine operated.

Many engineering schools in Korea implement ABEEK programs. One of the core parts of ABEEK is accreditation criterion 2, the program outcomes and their appraisal. This paper tries to discuss the program outcomes and to study the impact of applying the program outcomes to one of the graduation requirements. We show simple survey results for implementing ABEEK programs concerning the program outcomes and their relation to graduation requirements. If the program outcomes are used as one of the graduation requirements, some graduates may satisfy the average grade point for graduation requirements but can not meet the program outcome criteria satisfied by other than regular classes. In this case, the graduate may have trouble to try to meet the program outcome criteria, since he may not be able to stay in school without taking classes. The problems of setting the levels of program outcomes as graduation requirements, non classwork related program outcomes, and work burden to professors should be also prudently reviewed for successful ABEEK implementation.

The weight of shoes may serve as a determining factor of perceived comfort and feel to the consumer in their purchase and repurchase decisions of footwear. People, however, seem to have trouble in accurately judging the feeling of weight of shoes on their feet. This paper made a psychophysical study of subjects′ sensitivity to weight on their feet and in their hands. The experiment consisted of 3 tests according to the motions people make when they evaluate the feel of shoes: 1) vertical lifting of a shoe on the foot ("hefting" in on the foot) 2) swing the shod foot back and forth; 3) holding and lifting a shoe by hand ("hefting" it in the hand). The method of constant stimuli and magnitude estimation were used for the experiment with 20 subjects. Weber′s ratios and the power law exponents obtained for each of the three tests were 0.156 and 0.713, 0.108 and 0.970, and 0.065 and 1.249, respectively in the same order of the previously listed tests.

A survey was carried out to investigate consciousness level of health. A total of 499 people living in Seoul and the vicinities were asked to fill out the questionnaire during the period from the October 1997 to the January 1998. Among the 532 answers collected 33 was imcompleate data, and 499 answers were used for the statistical analysis by using SPSS program. The most worried disease was cancer(27.6%), indigestion(23.0%), liver trouble(14.8%) and high blood pressure(14.8%). The perception of Korean on health and food habit indicated that food habit was considered the most important factor for the maintenance of health, as appeared in 28.9% of the subject. Eighty-seven percent of the respondents thought that health food is necessary for the health.

RFID system, which tries to identify a information of the tag using the wireless transmission, has been used to recognize long distance. However, each RFID system uses different way for individual needs. So, it is might not be compatible with the each system using a little different way. Also there is a trouble to freely use the protocols between the one tag and the other reader. So we tested a various RFID tags and readers to use the designed system with several protocols. Therefore, this paper shows that we designed and realized of the testing system for RF characteristics test as well as protocol analysis.
