The purpose of this study was to suggest a direction for golfwear design targeting young female golfers, based on the analysis of their preference of recent sportswear trend. Total 197 respondents, female golfers, were sampled for data gathering, who were asked to answer to the self-report questionnaire with the stimuli of five trendy golfwear styles [i.e., representing recent sportswear trend]. In summary, the results of this study were as follows: 1) The female golfers showed significant difference in their preference of recent sportswear-trend sues, according to their age or marital status. 2) Among the five trendy styles, each of which corresponded to five themes in 2002 S/S sportswear trend, the style of "Retro Chic", a type of retrospective trend theme, was most favored. 3) The female golfers in their twenties residing in Kangnam, were found to have ① relatively higher fashion leadership, and ② higher preference of maximal and kitsch trends, when compared with the rest of the respondents. 4) The most influential design elements in each trendy style, dominating the golfers' preference, varied with the feature of trend themes. 5) Based on the analysis of the young female golfers′ preferences of recent sportswear trend, a direction for golfwear design were suggested.

It seems that the \"fuzzy boom\" which began with its applications has calmed down and fallen into decay at least in Korea. But many foreign researchers say the research related to fuzzy theory has been only running its right course. In this paper, we discuss the trend and direction of reaserch related to fuzzy theory. The search trend is obtained through the analysis of the papers of the latest 10years papers in the journals of three societies: KFIS, SOFT and IFSA.

The spatial distribution of pan evaporation and pan evaporation trends have been studied. In this study, pan evaporation data from 1973 to 1990 for 56 climatological stations were analyzed. In addition to annual average daily pan evaporation, monthly average daily pan evaporation in April, July, October and January were analyzed, considering seasonal effect. The study results indicate that in case of annual average daily pan evaporation, 38 stations out of 56 stations show decreasing trend. In case of average daily pan evaporation in January, 33 stations show decreasing trend. In April, 38 stations show increasing trend. In July, 47 stations show decreasing trend. In October, 35 stations show increasing trend. Therefore, on the whole, pan evaporation tended to decrease in January, July, and annual basis. On the other hand, pan evaporation tended to increase in April and October. Furthermore, pan evaporation trend in each individual region shows also different trend even though the region is located nearby, indicating that there are geographical and topographical effects on pan evaporation trend. Pan evaporation data and climatic data from 1973 to 2006 for 11 climatological stations were used for trend analysis. Climatic variables such as temperature, relative humidity and wind speed show same or opposite trend direction compared with pan evaporation in annual or monthly basis. Annual and monthly solar radiation trends show the same direction compared with pan evaporation; however, annual and monthly precipitation trends show the opposite direction compared with pan evaporation.

This study analyzed the remodeling cases of 53 public primary schools located in Seoul to grasp the trends and set the direction in remodeling public primary schools. As a result of the analysis, before the sixth Education Process major remodeling of schools was focused on increasing the number of classrooms and after the sixth Education Process public space was increased. According to development of education, frequency of remodeling is increased. But myopic remodeling works were not a surprise. It means the schools simply focused on increasing space. Therefore, the study aims to set the direction for a comprehensive and systemic remodeling plan which will serve as an opportunity to not only improve physical life of schools but also extend functional life and enhance the quality of educational environment.

In this study, we have estimated lineaments in the Euiseong area, Kyungbuk Province, from Landsat TM by applying the algorithm developed by Kim and Won et al. which can effectively reduce the look direction bias associated with the Sun's azimuth angle. Fratures over the study area were also mapped in the field at 57 selected sites to compare them with the results from the satellite image. The trends of lineaments estimated from the Landsat TM images are characterized as $N50^{\circ}$~70W, NS~$N10^{\circ}$W, and $N10^{\circ}$~$60^{\circ}$E trends. The spatial distribution of lineaments is also studied using a circular grid, and the results show that the area can be divided into two domains : domain A in which NS~$N20^{\circ}$E direction is dominant, and domain B in which west-north-west direction is prominent. The trends of lineaments can also be classified into seven groups. Among them, only C, D and G trends are found to be dominant based upon Donnelly's nearest neighbor analysis and correlations of lineament desities. In the color composite image produced by overlaying the lineament density map of these C-, D-, and G-trends, G-trend is shown to be developed in the whole study area while the eastern part of the area is dominated by D-trend. C-trend develops extensively over the whole are except the southeastern part. The orientation of fractures measured at 35 points in the field shows major trends of NS~$N30^{\circ}$E, $N50^{\circ}$~$80^{\circ}$W, and N80$^{\circ}$E~EW, which agree relatively well with the lineaments estimated form the satellite image. The rose diagram analysis fo field data shows that WNW-ESE trending discontinuities are developed in the whole area while discontinuities of NS~$N20^{\circ}$E are develped only in the estern part, which also coincide with the result from the satellite image. The combined results of lineaments from the satellite image and fracture orientation of field data at 22 points including 18 minor faults in Sindong Group imply that the WNW-ESE trend is so prominent that Gumchun and Gaum faults are possibly extended up to the lower Sindong Group in the study area.

The purpose of this study was 1) to analyze the consumers' preference on the recent trend in men's wear according to their lifestyle and 2) to suggest a suitable direction for men's wear planning based on the lifestyle analysis. A survey was applied to obtain the data set responded from 310 male subjects who were aged between thirties and fourties. The main results of this study are summarized as follows: 1) Five types of recent fashion trends were identified through a qualitative analysis on the recent men's wear trend, which were 'Modern classic casual', 'Retro traditional casual', 'Authentic/Ethnic casual', 'Urban dandy street casual' and the 'Refined sportive casual'. 2) The three types of the respondents' lifestyle were identified in this research and named as 'pursuing sense', 'pursuing tradition' and 'conservative indifference'. Examining the preference on fashion trends according to subjects' lifestyle and etc., the preference level of the 'pursuing sense' group on trend was, in general, higher than that of the two other lifestyle groups. The most preferred trend style of 'pursuing sense' group was the 'Modern Classic'. Finally, a suitable direction for men's wear planning was suggested on the result of analysis in this research.
