Hybrid trend of the 21st century is an important basis to express fashion Alexander McQueen is a representative designer of Hybrid trend which combines heterogeneous elements into oneconcept. Accordingly, this study distributed and analyzed Hybrid trend which was in Alexander McQueen's work like below. First, there was a racial Hybrid trend which combined different local culture in shared space of the world in his fashion work and he challenged to Westernized ideal beauty with new recognition and knowledge about beside countries of Western Europe which were considered as not important culture due to perceiving relative value of a pluralist society and created new way aesthetic consciousness. Second, he expressed a historical character of a combination of tradition and modern by his fashion work based on wide historical knowledge of a dress. He created a new line in contrast to the past with a perfect design through combination of the style from the tradition with the parody and displayed his own design world. Third, he treated instability and disorder from the interior essential dissolution, thus he had a cultural character which broke down the boundary of cultural genre and style. This attitude showed transformation of constructivism and deconstruction view, secession and distortion, mixture, duplication, secession and insert by his fashion work.

The long-term trend of surface wind speed in Korea is examined for 31 KMA weather stations from 1985 to 2019. Most stations, except Daegwallyeong, have several times of anemometer height changes from tens of centimeters to several meters. To minimize such height change effect on long-term wind trend, the present study adjusts anemometer height in each station to the standard height of 10 m using the power-law wind profile. This adjustment results in non-negligible trend change. For instance, the increasing surface wind speed at Suwon station, which has six times of anemometer height changes in a range of 0.8 m to 20 m, is weakened up to 67% and becomes statistically insignificant. Likewise, the decreasing trend at Andong station, with three times of anemometer height changes in a range of 10 m to 15.5 m, is weakened up to 66%. A similar weakening in long-term trend is observed in most stations regardless of positive and negative trends. However, due to the cancellation between weakened negative trends and weakened positive trends, the station-averaged wind speed trend in Korea does not change much. This result suggests that anemometer height adjustment is crucial for evaluating local wind speed trend but its impact on nation-wide wind speed trend is rather minor.

The long-term trend of surface wind speed in Korea is estimated by correcting wind measurements at 29 KMA weather stations from 1985 to 2019 with physical and statistical homogenization. The anemometer height changes at each station are first adjusted by applying physical homogenization using the power-law wind profile. The statistical homogenization is then applied to the adjusted data. A standard normal homogeneity test (SNHT) is particularly utilized. Approximately 40% of inhomogeneities detected by the SNHT match with the sea-level-height change of each station, indicating that an SNHT is an effective technique for reconciling data inhomogeneity. The long-term trends are compared with homogenized data. Statistically significant negative trends are observed along the coast, while insignificant trends are dominant inland. The mean trend, averaged over all stations, is -0.03 ± 0.07 m s^-1 decade^-1. This insignificant trend is due to a trend change across 2001. A decreasing trend of -0.10 m s^-1 decade^-1 reverses to an increasing trend of 0.03 m s^-1 decade^-1 from 2001. This trend change is consistent with mid-latitude wind change in the Northern hemisphere, indicating that the long-term trend of surface wind speed in Korea is partly determined by large-scale atmospheric circulation.

This study was carried out to suggest the best statistical test to analyze the trend in monthly water quality data. Traditional parametric tests such as t-test and regression analysis are based on the assumption that the underlying population has a normal distribution and regression analysis additionally assumes that residual errors are independent. Analyzing 9-years monthly COD data collected at Paldang in Han River, the underlying population was found to be neither normal nor independent. Therefore parametric tests are invalid for trend detection. Four Kinds of nonparametric statistical tests, such as Run Test, Daniel test, Mann-Kendall test, and Time Series Residual Analysis were applied to analyze the trend in the COD data, Daniel test and Mann-Kendall test indicated upward trend in COD data. The best nonparametric test was suggested to be Daniel test, which is simple in computation and easy to understand the intuitive meaning.

In order to provide more systematic approach to analyze fabric trends and to develop fabrics accordingly, ecology fabric trend from 1986 to 2005 was analyzed related with fabric trend themes and fabric attributes. The result shows that in the 1980s, natural theme appeared, followed by primitive theme and imitated natural theme until the mid 1990s. From the late 1990s to the early 2000s, new natural theme appeared, followed by eco-friendly theme, and then recycling theme. In the natural theme, 'clean' was the most important fabric attribute and 'textured' and 'worn' were important fabric attributes in the primitive theme. In the imitated natural theme, 'wet' fabric attribute was preferred. In the new natural theme, 'lightweight' were preferred. The results of this study empirically demonstrated that abstract and ambiguous trend terms can be interpreted with a physical, substantial, and feasible attributes that fabric practitioners can easily understand.

The power law process model the Rate of occurrence of failures(ROCOF) with monotonic trend during the operating time. However, the power law process is inappropriate when a non-monotonic trend in the failure data is observed. In this paper we deals with the reliability modeling of the failure process of large and complex repairable system whose rate of occurrence of failures shows the non-monotonic trend. We suggest a sectional model and a change-point test based on the Schwarz information criterion(SIC) to describe the non-monotonic trend. Maximum likelihood is also suggested to estimate parameters of sectional model. The suggested methods are applied to field data from an repairable system.
