We are depending on tedious work by hand with tremendous time and effort in order to measure drawing of relics and remains despite of advanced computer and editing technology. Also, it is necessary to improve a designing element in the research report of cultural properties although we have more editorial and technical skills than we have done. The purpose of this article is to help to develop an aesthetic element and measurement of drawing of relics and remains for the effective editing in the current cultural properties research report. At the same time, through the gradual improvement of 3D scan and photographing techniques, research report of cultural properties will create database with useful and valuable material and provide aesthetic and efficient information.

The purpose of this study is not only preserving and restoring our nation's precious cultural inheritances transmitted for half millennia but informing the world of them. This study also aims recognizing the necessity of transmitting them to prosperity, constructing three-dimensional database by using a photogrammetry and VRML method and utilizing basic data of treasure exhibition with the progress of exhibition technique development on cyber space. Therefore, in this study, I suggest three dimensional modeling method that acquire three dimensional database about cultural properties through photogrammetry method which can acquire three-dimensional coordinates with easy and can express various color and stuff-feeling by using VRML.

Heunginjimun designated as a Treasure No.1 is a two-story wooden structure with 5 bay and 2 bay in its front and side views, respectively. This paper presents an investigation on vibration characteristics of Heunginjimun through both ambient vibration and impact hammer tests. Ambient vibration test was performed to identify the natural frequency of Heunginjimun from the spectrum analysis of time history. Impact hammer test was undertaken to find the frequency of Heunginjimun which is affected by the surrounding traffics and to verify the reciprocal principle for the wooden structural system. Ambient vibration test results of Heunginjimun showed that the natural frequencies in two principal axes 1.5 Hz and 1.1 Hz, respectively. It was confirmed from impact hammer tests for a ground that the frequency of 4.2 Hz is caused by the traffics surrounding Heunginjimun. It was also observed that from the impact hammer test results between two locations in Heunginjimun that the transfer functions measured from two corresponding locations coincided well with each other. This result shows that the wooden structural system is globally linear, and the reciprocal principle is established.

As development of information technology, companies stress the need of knowledge management. Companies construct ERP system including knowledge management. But, it is not easy to formalize knowledge in organization. They experience that constructing information system help knowledge management. Now, we focus on engineering knowledge. Because engineering data contains experts' experience and know-how in its own, engineering knowledge is a treasure house of knowledge. Korean shipyards are leader of world shipbuilding industry. They have accumulated a store of knowledge and data. But, they don't have data mining tool to utilize accumulated data. This paper treats development of data mining tools for the utilization of shipbuilding knowledge based on genetic programming(GP).

The purpose of this study was to analyze educational functions of Kyujanggak(奎章閣) during King Jeongjo(正祖) and reflect its significance Kyujanggak was established by King Jeongjo in 1776. The main function of Kyujanggak was keeping and managing Eopil(御筆) and it continued to perform what Jiphyeonjeon(集賢殿) had done. Among the functions of Kyujanggak, there found several critical ones that today's educational institution needs to do: 1) library function including collecting, keeping, and utilizing books 2) education of elites like Chogyemoonsin(抄啓文臣) 3) writing and publishing to encourage writing customs(文風振作) 4) the classic-mat lectures(經筵) to facilitate King's learning. Across the ages and in all countries of the world, education is the dynamic force and bulwark, Also, library is the treasure house and center of traditional culture. Especially, Kyujanggak has been estimated to perform the functions of both education and library successfully. The results indicated that the practice of Kyujanggak reminds us that the educational mind and leadership of the top leader of nation is the primary and decisive factor in building a strong culture-nation.

Yearly mean temperature and relative-humidity of the Seokguram Grotto was measured $19~23^{\circ}C$, 40~44% from May, 1998 to December,2002. The measurement has little differences comparing to the optimum guideline (temperature : $20^{\circ}\pm2^{\circ}C$, relative-humidity : $50^{\circ}\pm5%$). It is necessary to increase humidity in the Seokguram Grotto during winter because of heating and decrease the temperature during summer because of a higher temperature of outside. In addition, the diurnal range keep in $4^{\circ}C$ of temperature and in 10% of relative-humidity. Yearly mean concentration of $CO_2$(carbon dioxide) was measured538~658ppm that is higher than concentration of normal atmosphere(360 ppm). The $CO_2$ has an cumulative effect on the surface of stone cultural properties as a form of carbonic acid($H_2CO_3$) after reaction with water. HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) system should be operated to maintain ideal state for the preservation according to the optimum guideline. Also, the entrance into the Seokguram Grotto should be controlled to prevent a sudden fluctuation of humidity and temperature. Human could carry small particles like a microdust, microbe, etc., into the Seokguram Grotto and also could damage the surface by a direct touch.

In 1972, the mural painting of Kuknakjon, which is National Treasure No. 15, at Pongjongsa was taken to pieces. From 1999. 9. 8 to 1999. 9. 15,we were precisely investigated with infrared vidicon television, video camera and so forth. The result of investigation shows that contents of the mural painting consisted of paintings of flowers and birds, paintings of Taoist hermits with supernatural powers and old historic figure paintings (In the investigated mural paintings, there were paintings about pheasant or magpie on splendid peony, figures such as Lee tae baek(이태백) and Baek lakchon(백악천) known as old chinese poets, Chang yang(장량) and Hwangsok kong(황석공) known as old historic figures and Paebok(백복), and Choksongja(적송자) known as Taoist hermits.)It is noted that the mural painting was under the influence of the later Choson culture included Taoistic and folk artistic than buddhistic contents such as painting of Bodhisattva, Arhat and apsara. Later, each mural painting will be more investigated in respect of Buddhism art historic value, and we'll make conservative treatment plan based on its result.

The descendants have a responsibility to conserve their cultural treasure and hand it down to posterity. Most of existing wooden properties, affected by environmental factors for many years, have been rebuilt or repaired many times. Kwandeogjeong, Cultural Properties Materials 322, has gone through rebuilding or repairing 11 times. It was natural that Kwandeogjeong lost its originality and attempt to restore it was made by Cultural Heritage Administration of Korea. But the restoration depends on a piece of picture, which was taken before 1900. It had been impossible to draw any data from the picture for restoration. In this study, I was able to obtain data for its restoration through geometrical analysis, using the vanishing point of the picture. These data were also used as preliminary data for its restoration.

$\ulcorner$Aheuichaulyo御醫撮要$\lrcorner$ was known to be published by Choi Jong-jun崔宗峻 in Korea高麗 Dynasty(A.D.1226), however its original copy is not available at the present. It was thought that Korean folk medicine and the remedies were recorded in this book, and these were recorded in $\ulcorner$Euibangyoochui醫方類聚$\lrcorner$ published in Chosun 朝鮮 dynasty(1445). $\ulcorner$Euibangyoochui$\lrcorner$ is called a treasure-house of the knowledge of traditional oriental medicine which contains over 50,000 prescriptions and enormous amount of medical information. The restoration of $\ulcorner$Aheuichaulyo$\lrcorner$was possible during the process of establishment of data base work of $\ulcorner$Euibangyoochui$\lrcorner$. $\ulcorner$Aheuichaulyo$\lrcorner$ was restored as 131 chapters mainly from the related contents of $\ulcorner$Euibangyoochui$\lrcorner$ and partially from the contents of $\ulcorner$Hyangyakjipsungbang鄕藥集成方$\lrcorner$ and $\ulcorner$Boonmoononyukyihaebang分門瘟易解方$\lrcorner$ for the supplement.

21 Century is said the age of cultural industry. In this cultural Industry one of very important factors which guides this times is the exploitation of cultural goods, which is based on regional identity. Therefore, at this point of time when its weighty has been raised, the aim of this study is to fill the image Korean tradition and modernity culture in them, through the search on their characteristics among regions and nations, desk the cultural service goods which gets survival power of traditional and cultural identity. Nine existing Hahoe masks are changed into nine new cultural items, which are presented the nine dreams of Hahoe masks. As consumer's choice is diversified by a set of products, main concept in this study is the focus on modernity, rationality, traditionality and popularity. The main concept of this study is on rational functions and convenience, the harmony of tradition and modernity. As said above, in the process of manufacture the mass production of goods is stressed, and by getting the composition and making a set of goods, the choice of consumers will be extended. Getting ideal globalization by the coexistence of tradition and modernity on goods, is very important. Consequently, cultural goods must be recognized as a factor of its medium, and also, on domestic cultural goods people's interest must be risen all the more.
