Effects of Information Quality of Online Travel Agencies on Trust and Continuous Usage Intention: An Application of the SOR Model

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between information quality, Online Travel Agency (OTA) trust, and continuous usage intention provided by OTA through the application of the SOR(Stimulus-Organism-Response) model. To achieve the purpose of the study, 234 responses were used for analysis, and the hypotheses were tested through the SPSS v.21 program and AMOS v.21 programs. The research results can be classified into the following three categories. First, it was determined that accuracy, timeliness, and usefulness among the factors for information quality had a significant positive effect on OTA trust and continuous usage intention. Second, it was determined that OTA trust was found to have a significant positive effect on continuous usage intention. Third, it was determined that OTA trust had an indirect effect on the relationship between accuracy, timeliness, usefulness, and continuous usage intention among the factors for information quality. This study looked at the lower dimension of information quality, which was insufficient in the field of OTA. This study can be used as basic data to, in practice, build a user-centered informational provision environment by identifying the factors that promote the continuous usage intention of consumers, which is linked to the revenue of online travel agencies.

관광지 스토리텔링이 SNS 관광 가치와 여행사 관계 몰입에 미치는 연구: SNS 신뢰의 조절효과 (A Study of Tourism Destination Storytelling on the Tourism Value and Relationship Immersion of Travel Agency: Moderating Effect of SNS Trust)

  • 본 연구는 관광산업에서 중요하게 논의되고 있는 관광지 스토리텔링(교육성, 흥미성, 감성, 고유성)과 SNS 관광 가치(기능적, 사회적), 여행사 관계 몰입, SNS 신뢰를 중심으로 고찰하였다. 연구 대상은 SNS를 활용하여 숙박 관광 경험이 있는 390명의 응답자를 대상으로 검증하였으며, 분석을 수행하기 위해 SPSS 25.0과 Smart PLS 3.0을 활용하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 관광지 스토리텔링의 교육성, 흥미성 요인은 기능적 가치에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 감성과 고유성 요인은 영향 관계가 성립되지 않음을 확인하였다. 또한, 교육성, 흥미성, 고유성 요인은 사회적 가치에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었으나, 감성 요인은 영향 관계가 성립되지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, SNS 관광 가치의 하위요인 중 기능적 가치는 여행사 관계 몰입에 긍정적인 영향 관계가 성립되었으나 사회적 가치는 영향 관계가 성립되지 않았다. 셋째, SNS 관광 가치와 여행사 관계 몰입 간의 관계에서 SNS 신뢰는 조절 효과를 가지는 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 연구 결과와 시사점을 통해 관광산업 실무자에게 종합적인 제언을 제시하였다.

Partitioning Interwell Tracer Test for NAPL Source Characterization: A General Overview

  • Innovative and nondestructive characterization techniques have been developed to locate and quantify nonaqueous phase liquids (NAPLs) in the vadose and saturated zones in the subsurface environment. One such technique is the partitioning interwell tracer test (PITT). The PITT is a simultaneous displacement of partitioning and non-partitioning tracers through a subsurface formation. Partitioning tracers will partition into the NAPL during their transport through NAPL-contaminated formations. Mean travel times of partitioning and non-partitioning tracers are used to estimate the quantity of NAPL encountered by the displaced tracer pulse. Travel times are directly proportional to the partitioning coefficient and the volume of NAPL contacted in the subsurface environment. This paper discusses the conceptual background, design and implementation of PITTs. Imported human babesiosis in the Republic of Korea, 2019: two case reports

  • Human babesiosis is a tick-borne disease induced by the genus Babesia and has been significantly reported in the Republic of Korea. This report shows the cases of 2 patients with human babesiosis who traveled to the USA in 2019. The 2 patients experienced fever and had travel histories to babesiosis-endemic regions. The diagnoses of both cases were verified by the identification of Babesia-infected red blood cells on blood smears. One patient was found to be infected with Babesia microti using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for 18S rRNA, which discovered the phylogenetic link to the B. microti strain endemic in the USA. The 2 patients recovered from fever with subsequent hemoparasite clearance. Babesiosis could be diagnosed in anyone with histories of travel to babesiosis-endemic countries and tick bites. Furthermore, Babesia-specific PCR is required for determining geno-and phenotypic characteristics.

항공사-여행사의 관계특성과 갈등에 관한 연구 (A Study on the influences of the Relationship Characteristics between Airlines and Travel Agencies to the Conflict)

  • 본 논문에서 항공사와 여행사 직원들을 대상으로 하여 유통경로상의 관계특성이 갈등에 미치는 영향 관계를 검증한 결과 항공사 측에서는 경쟁력, 전문성, 환경의 불확실성, 접촉빈도, 상호의존이 갈등에 부(-)의 영향을 여행사 측에서는 환경의 동태성, 유사성, 경쟁력, 접촉빈도, 전문성이 갈등에 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 두 변수에 대한 항공사와 여행사의 인식 차이 분석 결과 관계특성 중 경쟁력, 유사성, 접촉빈도와 지각차이갈등, 의사소통장애갈등에서 모두 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과로 검증된 관계특성 요인들은 항공사와 여행사간의 갈등을 감소시켜 긍정적인 관계로 발전시키는데 중요한 역할을 할 수 있을 것이다.

Does Online Travel & Retail Distribution Agency's e-Service Quality Improve Customer Satisfaction, Trust, and Loyalty?

  • Purpose: This study exploresthe impact of e-service quality (e-SQ) on satisfaction, trust, and loyalty within Chinese online travel retail distribution agencies (OTRDAs) using the SOR (stimulus-organism-response) model. In addition, this research examines the mediating roles of satisfaction and trust in the relationship between e-SQ and loyalty. In the model, e-SQ encompasses four sub-dimensions, such as information, efficiency, reliability, and security. Research design, data, and methodology: Data were collected from 401 respondents through an online survey. The data were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 and SmartPLS 4.1 to test the relationships among the variables. Results: The findings reveal that information, efficiency, reliability, and security positively influence satisfaction and trust. Both satisfaction and trust, in turn, significantly enhance loyalty. Mediation analysisindicatesthat satisfaction and trust partially mediate the relationship between e-SQ and loyalty. Conclusions: The study highlights the direct effects of e-SQ components on satisfaction and trust, as well as their indirect effects on loyalty within the OTRDA framework. Notably, trust exerts a stronger influence on loyalty than satisfaction, underscoring the importance of trust as a mediator in the satisfaction-loyalty relationship. Consequently, customer loyalty programs for OTRDAs should prioritize trust evaluations alongside satisfaction measures.

GPS수신정보에 의한 구간통행속도 예측 알고리즘 비교평가 (Evaluation of the Estimate Algorithms for Link Travel Time from GPS Probe Data)

  • 본 연구는 현재 사용되고 있는 수치지도 및 GPS의 오차 특성을 비교하고, GPS 프로브 차량에 의해 수집되는 구간통행속도 정보의 산출 방법을 비교.평가하여 신뢰성 있는 방안을 제시하는데 연구목적이 있다. GPS 신호가 불량한 지점에서 실험 결과 GPS에 사용된 Chipset별로 거리오차가 큰 것으로 분석되었으며, 수치지도의 오차 특성 분석 결과 실측길이와 수치지도와의 차이는 평균 4% 정도로 차이가 발생한 것으로 나타났다 이러한 오차 특성을 고려하여 GPS수신 정보에 의한 구간통행속도 산출방법을 수치지도상의 진입진출 노드를 기종점으로 해당 링크 내에서 구간길이와 통행시간에 의한 산출 방법, 순간평균속도에 의한 산출 방법 및 이동거리 누적 및 통행시간에 의한 산출방법 등 세 가지 방법에 대한 알고리즘을 개발하고 이를 비교.평가하였다. 비교.평가결과, 구간길이와 통행시간에 의한 산출방법이 가장 신뢰성이 높은 것으로 분석되었다

온라인 여행사의 추천정보가 구매의사결정과 재사용의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Online Travel Agency's Recommendation Information on Purchase Decision Making and Reuse Intention)

  • Purpose The purpose of this study is to investigate how OTA recommendation influences users' purchase decision making and reuse intention based on the users' destination type. And we compare the results of domestic destination and overseas destination. Design/methodology/approach This research model was designed with the recommendation elements of OTA. And this study conducted an empirical analysis using self-administered questionnaires. The target of the analysis is an individual who has purchased hotel rooms through the OTA for the past one year. A total of 374 usable data were collected (177 domestic respondents and 197 overseas respondents) and analyzed using partial least squares analysis using Smart-PLS 3.0. Findings Two OTA recommendation characteristics - recommendation accuracy and recommendation objectivity were significant in overall model. And easy of decision making was significantly affect to OTA reuse intention. Also, only recommendation accuracy variable was revealed to significant moderating variable between domestic model and overseas model.

  • From the 1970s to the present, the number of new infectious diseases such as SARS, Ebola virus, and MERS has steadily increased. The new infectious disease, COVID-19, which began in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, has pushed the world into a pandemic era. As a result, Countries imposed restrictions on entry to foreign countries due to concerns over the spread of COVID-19, which led to a decrease in the movement of tourists. Due to the restriction of travel, keywords such as "Corona blue" have soared and depression has increased. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the stress meaning network of the COVID-19 era to derive keywords and come up with a plan for a travel-related platform of the Post-COVID 19 era. This study conducted analysis of travel and stress caused by COVID-19 using TEXTOM, a big data analysis tool, and conducted semantic network analysis using UCINET6. We also conducted a CONCOR analysis to classify keywords for clustering of words with similarities. However, since we have collected travel and stress-oriented data from the start to the present, we need to increase the number of analysis data and analyze more data in the future.
