단락 개방 Calibration 방법을 이용한 분포 정수 소자의 기생 소자 추출 및 대역 통과 필터에의 응용 (A Parasitic Elements Extraction of the Distributed Elements and an Application of the BPF Using the Short-Open Calibration Method)

  • 본 논문에서는 단락 개방 calibration(SOC) 방법을 이용하여 결함 접지 면을 갖는 전송 선로(DGS)와 short-circuited comb line section의 기생 소자 값들을 추출하였다. Microstrip 선로들로 구성된 단락, 개방, 분포 정수 소자의 산란 파라미터 행렬들은 전자기 시뮬레이터 및 벡터 네트웍 분석기를 이용하여 측정하였다. 제안된 구조의 전자기 영향들은 주파수 독립적인 소자들로 구성된 II형 또는 T형 등가 회로로 각각 표현하였고, 2 포트 네트웍 해석을 수행함으로써, 측정된 산란 파라미터들과 등가회로 소자들 간의 관계를 보였다. 또한, 2차 버터워스 프로토 타입을 갖는 2.4 GHz 대역 통과 필터 설계에 이를 적용하였다. 그 결과, 중심 주파수에서 측정된 $S_{11}$$S_{21}$은 각각 -20 dB, -1.3 dB 이고, $0.5{\sim}5\;GHz$에서 예상했던 결과와 5 % 이내의 오차를 보였다.

DEVELOPMENT OF AN OPTIMIZATION TECHNIQUE OF A WARM SHRINK FITTING PROCESS FOR AN AUTOMOTIVE TRANSMISSION PARTS

  • A fitting process carried out in the automobile transmission assembly line is classified into three classes; heat fitting, press fitting, and their combined fitting. Heat fitting is a method that applies heat in the outer diameter of a gear to a suitable range under the tempering temperature and assembles the gear and the shaft made larger than the inner radius of the gear. Its stress depends on the yield strength of a gear. Press fitting is a method that generally squeezes gear toward that of a shaft at room temperature by a press. Another method heats warmly gear and safely squeezes it toward that of a shaft. A warm shrink fitting process for an automobile transmission part is now gradually increased, but the parts (shaft/gear) assembled by the process produced dimensional change in both outer diameter and profile of the gear so that it may cause noise and vibration between gears. In order to solve these problems, we need an analysis of a warm shrink fitting process in which design parameters such as contact pressure according to fitting interference between outer diameter of a shaft and inner diameter of a gear, fitting temperature, and profile tolerance of gear are involved. In this study, an closed form equation to predict the contact pressure and fitting load was proposed in order to develop an optimization technique of a warm shrink fitting process and verified its reliability through the experimental results measured in the field and FEM, thermal-structural coupled field analysis. Actual loads measured in the field have a good agreement with the results obtained from theoretical and finite element analysis and also the expanded amounts of the outer diameters of the gears have a good agreement with the results.

낙뢰측정 네트워크(KLDNet)를 위한 감지기 사이트서베이와 낙뢰 감지율 검토 (A study on the Site Survey and Detection Efficiency for Kepco Lightning Detection and Information Network)

  • Lightning induced faults accounts for more than 66% at the transmission lines of KEPCO. The lightning causes damages to power system equipments including transmission line, the blackout of electricity and the electro-magnetic interference. Because of this reason, we need the real time lightning information for the optimal operation of power system. And, it is required to obtain and accumulate the lightning current parameters for the insulation design. In 2005, KEPRI constructed a lightning detection network, the KLDNet (i.e. Kepco Lightning Detection & Information System) and launched a lightning information service for KEPCO customers. It is intended to provide data service on the operation of transmission lines and collect lightning-related data, which is the most important factor regulating power system design and operation. The new system will replace LPATS, the old detection system, which has been operating since 1995 and is rapidly failing in terms of both detection performance and location accuracy. The purpose of this paper is to explain the work performed and the results of that work in performing a site survey of several locations. The purpose of the site survey is to find locations acceptable for the installation of a lightning location receiver in support of a Lightning detection system(LDS). A restriction was placed on the surveyed locations, as they must belong to the Korea Electric Power Company. This requirement was made to facilitate the communication needs of the LDS network. Total of 15 sites were evaluated as possible LDS sensor sites. Some of the sites were rejected for physical reasons and therefore no electrical testing was performed. Of the 15 sites, total of 10 sites were considered acceptable and 5 sites were rejected for various reason. In this paper, we would like to explain the site survey and detection efficiency for LDS.

Modeling and Simulation for a Tractor Equipped with Hydro-Mechanical Transmission

  • Purpose: A simulator for the design and performance evaluation of a tractor with a hydro-mechanical transmission (HMT) was developed. Methods: The HMT consists of a hydro-static unit (HSU), a swash plate control system, and a planetary gear. It was modeled considering the input/output relationship of the torque and speed, and efficiency of HSU. Furthermore, a dynamic model of a tractor was developed considering the traction force, running resistance, and PTO (power take off) output power, and a tractor performance simulator was developed in the co-simulation environment of AMESim and MATLAB/Simulink. Results: The behaviors of the design parameters of the HMT tractor in the working and driving modes were investigated as follows; For the stepwise change of the drawbar load in the working mode, the tractor and engine speeds were maintained at the desired values by the engine torque and HSU stroke control. In the driving mode, the tractor followed the desired speed through the control of the engine torque and HSU stroke. In this case, the engine operated near the OOL (optimal operating line) for the minimum fuel consumption within the shift range of HMT. Conclusions: A simulator for the HMT tractor was developed. The simulations were conducted under two operation conditions. It was found that the tractor speed and the engine speed are maintained at the desired values through the control of the engine torque and the HSU stroke.

간섭식 부방파제의 2차원 단면형상 소파성능 (Performance Characteristics of Interference-Type Floating Breakwaters with Various two-dimensional Sectional Shapes)

  • 부방파제의 특성을 간단히 검토하고 수치해법을 이용하여 소파성능을 분석하였다. 비점성 포텐셜 유동의 일반적인 해법인 경계면적분법을 사용하였고, 다양한 형상의 부방파제 2차원 단면특성을 투과율을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 계류계의 강도와 질량관성반경 및 흘수의 영향을 기본적인 폰툰 형태에 대하여 고찰하였고, 사다리꼴, 중절모형상, 탁자 형상 등의 단면에 대하여 형상에 변화를 주며 소파특성을 조사하였다. 각 단면마다 효과적인 소파가 기대되는 입사파의 파장이 달라지지만 입사파의 파장과 부체의 길이비가 10 이상이 되는 경우까지 만족스런 소파가 이루어지는 경우도 있다.

Data Transmission through Power Line of Smart Transmitter

  • In this study, the method to use the phase shift keying (PSK) communication technique in smart transmitter is presented. In nuclear applications. smart transmitters for various parameters are expected to improve the accuracy of measurement and to reduce the load of calibration work. The capability of communication in field level is the most important merit of the smart transmitter. The most popular method is using of digital and analog techniques simultaneously - transmitting measurements from the field at 4∼20mA while modulating the current to carry digital information in both directions over the same twisted pairs. Conventional smart transmitters use the frequency shift keying (FSK) method for digital communication. Generally, however, the FSK method has the speed limit at 1200 bps. Amount of information to transmit becomes increasing as the processing technique is improved. The PSK method is noticeable alternative for high speed digital communication, but it has non-zero DC component. In order to use the PSK method in the field transmission with smart transmitter, the method to remove the DC component is studied in this work.

Series Gap Type 피뢰기의 뇌임펄스 동작책무 및 온도의존성에 관한 연구 (A Study of Lightning Impulse Operating Duty and Temperature Dependence of Series Gap Type Arrester)

  • This paper describes lightning impulse operating duty performance and temperature dependence of series gap type for transmission line arresters. The ageing parameters of lightning arresters are impulse current, moisture ingress, temperature ageing and so on. Especially it is important to estimate the change of electrical characteristics by lightning impulse current. In the discharge withstand test, total energy applied to the ZnO arrester each time is 4/10 ${\mu}s$, 30 kA. and in the operating duty test, the arrester has passed the test if thermal stability is achieved, if the residual voltage measured before and after the test is not changed by more than 5 %, and after the test reveals no evidence of puncture, flashover or cracking of the ZnO block. As a results, the residual voltage was in the range of 17.2${\sim}$20.3 kV and ZnO block bear up against at 2 shot of series impulse current of 30 kA. Also it was so excellent that the mechanical destruction does not occur at the 2 groups of 5 impulses current of 2/20 ${\mu}s$ 10 kA. According to the tests, it is thought that the ZnO arrester shows good stability with impulse current test. and it was found that the ambient temperature is increased resistive leakage current was increased in the range 47.3${\sim}$167.4 ${\mu}A$.

GTEM 셀 설계를 위한 전자파 모델링 및 회로망 해석 기법 연구 (A Study on the Electromagnetic Modeling and Network Analysis for GTEM Cell Design)

  • 본 논문에서는 $DC{\sim}18\;GHz$에서 동작하는 GTEM 셀 설계를 위한 전자파 모델링과 회로망 해석 기법을 제시하였다. GTEM 셀의 동축선 입력 급전부의 모드 변환기, 전송선 길이가 5미터인 확장형 사각 동축선 그리고 전송부 동축선의 전류와 입력단으로부터 입사되는 전자파를 정합시킬 수 있는 종단 부하로 구성되는 3차인 전자파 수치 해석 모델을 제시하였다. GTEM cell의 급전부, 전송선부, 종단 부하부에 대한 등가 회로망 모델을 제시하였으며, 이를 이용하여 전자파 수치 해석 모델에서 구해진 산란 계수로부터 GTEM cell의 성능 평가 지수인 입력 반사 계수를 계산할 수 있도록 하였다. $DC{\sim}18\;GHz$에서 동작하는 $5.0{\times}2.5{\times}1.7\;m$ 크기의 GTEM cell을 설계, 제작, 성능 평가하여 제안한 기법의 효용성을 입증하였다.
