기어의 공차에 따른 스퍼 기어열의 전달 오차 해석 (Transmission Error Analyis of Spur Gear Trains with Tolerances)

  • Sppur gear trains are used widely in high precision machines because gear trains have an advantage of exact transmission of angular velocity. Especially, gear trains are used in high quali8ty photocopying and photography OA machines. In general, gears have errors in manufacturing and assembling process and the errors are limited by tolerances. As the result, the tolerances cause the performance error. Therfore, it is important to predict transmission error caused by the tolerances for the tolerance design. Earlier tolerance design methods use mainly experimental and geometrical techniques. In this paper, a method for gear train analysis with tolerance is proposed. Because the method uses dynamic contacts, it is possible to consider irregularities and assemble errors of gears. In addition, the method can predit dynamic loads on the teeth of gears.

On-Off Keying 전송 시스템의 에러 확률 유지를 위한 조건에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Condition for Error Probability Maintenance in On-Off Keying Transmission System)

  • 본 논문에서는 신호에 따라 신호의 크기를 변조시키는 온-오프 키잉(on-off keying) 전송을 방식을 적용한 광전송시스템에서의 표준에러확률을 유지하기 위한 조건에 대하여 고찰하였다. 광전송시스템에서 광검출기가 1 이하의 양자효율을 갖는 경우를 고려하여 온-오프 키잉 전송시에 수신기의 수신 감도를 계산하였다. $BT$가 30이상인 경우 표준에러확률을 유지하기 위한 광자수가 10000이하로 계산되어 $BT$가 적은 경우에 비해서 저출력 시스템을 구성할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 수신단에 전치증폭기를 설치한 경우에 대해서도 고려하여 적은 출력을 갖는 광원을 사용해도 무방하다는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

A Rule for Reducing Error Remains in Multicopy Transmission ARQ

  • ARQ 기반의 오류 제어에서 불완전한 오류 검출로 인해 패킷에 오류가 잔류하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 사본 중복 전송 ARQ에서 잔류 오류를 감소시키기 위한 재전송 요청 및 오류없는 사본의 결정 규칙을 제안한다. 이러한 $(m, \;{\sigma})$ 규칙을 사본 중복 전송 ARQ에 적용할 때, 잔류 오류는 감소하나 기존의 단일 사본만을 전송하는 ARQ에 비해 지연 및 throughput 성능은 열화될 수 있다. 따라서 $(m, \;{\sigma})$ 규칙이 적용된 사본 중복 전송 ARQ에서 야기되는 성능의 trade-off를 평가하기 위한 해석적 방법을 개발한다. 이러한 해석적 방법으로 구한 계량적 결과로부터 $(m, \;{\sigma})$ 규칙의 파라미터, 채널의 성질, 트래픽 부하가 오류 잔류 확률, 패킷 상실, 패킷 지연, throughput 등에 미치는 영향을 검토하여 다양한 QoS 요구 조건을 용이하게 수용할 수 있는 $(m, \;{\sigma})$ 규칙의 적응성을 확인한다.

  • In signal system such as MAGLEV, the transmission channel that has wireless transmission line between on-board and ground-site is susceptible to have interference and may introduce data error on transmission. In this paper, by applying inductive wireless and FSK(frequency shift keying) modulation using widely in railway signal system, we intend to analyze the data transmission characteristics. In this case, noise may have effect on transmission channel. Therefore transmission channel should be lessened the data error from random noise. Considering the transmission medium, the objective of this study is to analyze the transmission characteristics between on-board and ground-site and to obtain transmission performance.

광 솔리톤 전송 시스템에 있어서 최대치 추적에 의한 상호 작용력 분석 (Interaction force analysis by peak value tracking in optical soliton transmission system)

  • In the soliton transmission system for a long-length and high bit rate data transmission systme using the nonlinear/dispersive optical fibers, the improtant problem is the loss characteristics and is the limited transmission rate by interaction forces. In this paper, It is explained the reasons of moved time position for the soliton peak value due to interaction force sof adjacent solitons. And for the analysis of interaction force affection level in the losslessmedia, we define the percent parameter of error rate due to the interaction forces and propose the optimum time distance of adjacent solitons by peak value tracking methods. With the results, initial percent of error is approximately 50% when itme difference between adjacent solitons is 5 times of funddametnal soliton pulse width. And it is confirmed that maximum transmission length of th esolitons is approximately 38 times of fundamental soliton period, which the maximum allowable percoent of error is 50%.

  • The timing chain system, which is a typical power transmission technology applied to a vehicle, has been widely used by the automotive industry because it is normally designed to last a car's lifetime. However, the timing chain system may cause some problems due to the shape of the chains and the polygonal behavior on contact between the chain and the sprocket. In addition, noise and vibration caused by transmission error are the most typical problems encountered by major automotive manufacturers and they are considered as the main source of customer complaint. The initial tension of the chain-sprocket system is thought to be the main cause of transmission error, and it is regarded as the source of engine vibration and noise. The initial tension of the chain system should be controlled carefully since a low initial tension can cause twisting, which may lead to a system malfunction, while a high initial tension can reduce the service life due to a worn down contact surface. In this paper, the kinematic analysis model is generated with various initial tensions, which are controlled by changing the shape of the fixed guide with the largest contact surface with chain. The results showed that the transmission error was minimized on a particular range of initial tension, and the tendency showed that the error changed with a higher sensitivity at a lower initial tension.

오류 강인 SVC 비디오 전송을 위한 Exclusive-OR 기반의 FEC 부호화 시스템 설계 및 성능 분석 (Design and Performance Analysis of Exclusive-OR Based FEC Coding System for Error Resilient SVC Video Transmission)

  • 본 논문에서는 패킷 오류가 발생하는 IP망을 통해 SVC 비디오 전송 서비스를 제공하기 위한 Exclusive-OR 기반의 FEC (forward error correction) 오류제어 시스템을 설계하고 성능을 분석한다. 설계된 시스템에서는 계산적으로 복잡도가 낮은 표준 Exclusive-OR 연산에 기반한 FEC 방법을 활용하고, SVC 비디오의 계층적 구조에 적합하도록 FEC 기법을 적용 한다. 설계된 Exclusive-OR 기반의 오류 제어 시스템의 성능을 검증하기 위하여 NIST-NET 기반의 전송 시뮬레이터를 활용한다. NIST-NET 기반의 시뮬레이터를 통한 SVC 비디오 패킷 전송 실험에 의해 설계된 Exclusive-OR 기반의 FEC 시스템의 오류 강인 전송 성능을 확인한다.

  • In this paper, an improved lower bound on the burst-error correcting capability of th ecyclic product code is presented and through the analysis of this new bound clustered cyclic product (CCP abbr.)code is proposed. The CCP code, to improve the burst-error correcting capability, combines the idea of clustering and the transmission method of cyclic product code. That is, a cluster which is defined in this paper as a group of consecutive code symbols is employed as a new transmission unit to the code array transmission of cyclic product code. the burst-error correcting capability of the CCP code is improved without a loss in the random-error correcting capability and performance comparison in the digital video camera records (DVCR) system shows the superiority of the proposed CCP code over conventional product codes.

  • Rapid advances in telecommunication make emergency telemedicine possible that specialist offers medical care to an emergency case in moving vehicle. Although there were many telemedicine projects delivering the image or video of patient over several wireless networks, none of them considered effective solutions for optimizing video transmission over error-prone environments, such like wireless links. To alleviate the effect of channel errors on compressed video bit-stream, this paper analyzed the error resilient features of MPEG-4 standard and measured the quality of transmitted MPEG-4 encoded video over commercially available CDMA2000 1xEV-DO networks, transmitting different IP packet sizes and RM positions. we propose an error resilient transmission methods for emergency telemedicine over real 3G network.

A Scalable Recovery Tree Construction Scheme Considering Spatial Locality of Packet Loss

  • Packet losses tend to occur during short error bursts separated by long periods of relatively error-free transmission. There is also a significant spatial correlation in loss among the receiver nodes in a multicast session. To recover packet transmission errors at the transport layer, tree-based protocols construct a logical tree for error recovery before data transmission is started. The current tree construction scheme does not scale well because it overloads the sender node. We propose a scalable recovery tree construction scheme considering these properties. Unlike the existing tree construction schemes, our scheme distributes some tasks normally handled by the sender node to specific nodes acting as repair node distributors. It also allows receiver nodes to adaptively re-select their repair node when they experience unacceptable error recovery delay. Simulation results show that our scheme constructs the logical tree with reduced message and time overhead. Our analysis also indicates that it provides fast error recovery, since it can reduce the number of additional retransmissions from its upstream repair nodes or sender node.
