This paper deals with the robustness property of Kalman filters for linear systems with delay in output. The operator-type Riccati equation is transformed to algebraic equations, and the circle condition is derived. Based on the circle condition, it is shown that the same nondivergence margin, (1/2, .inf.) gain margin and +-60.deg. phase margin, is guaranteed as for ordinary systems.

This paper presents a model which may be used in optimal control of the Man-Machine systems in the aspect of information transmission. For this, we divided information into human parts and machine parts, and consider minimum error principle as a machine operating logic. Furthermore, we take the maximum information principle as a human information operating logic. This can be done in considering the Fisher Information and its transformed type, information inequality.

This paper presents a method of analog signal processing for a coordinate transformation. Through the proposed method, two-dimensional position information obtanided from any type of null-detector can be transformed into the information with repect to world coordinate system. In order to implement the method, a null- detection device which consists of four optical proximity sensor is developed. Through the experiments for performance evaluation, the effectiveness of the proposed method has been demonstrated.

Since 1960's Mapo Apartment Housing, the apartment housing has been established as the typical urban housing type, and its design of outdoor spaces being transformed diversely. The purpose of this study is to identify the periodical trend of outdoor space design by analysing the elements of outdoor spaces in the apartment housing estates constructed in Daejon City.

Based on Landau-type transformation, a Stefan problem with non-linear free boundary condition is transformed into a system consisting of parabolic equation and the ordinary differential equations. Semidiscrete approximations are constructed. Optimal orders of convergence of semidiscrete approximation in $L_2$, $H^1$ and $H^2$ normed spaces are derived.

In this paper, Chaotic motions of a curved pipe conveying oscillatory flow are theoretically investigated. The nonlinear partial differential equation of motion is derived by Newton's method. The transformed nonlinear ordinary differential equation is a type of Hill's equation, which have the parametric and external excitation. Bifurcation curves of chaotic motion of the piping systems are obtained by applying Melnikov's method. Poincare maps numerically demonstrate theoretical results and show transverse homoclinic orbit of the chaotic motion.

This paper deals with a fuzzy sliding mode observer for nonlinear systems. A nonlinear system is approximated by a multiple model Takagi Sugeno fuzzy system and then transformed into a canonical form for which a nonlinear observer is constructed. This study presents a type of fuzzy sliding mode observer that deals with matched and unmatched uncertainties in the plant dynamics very effectively. The proposed method was validated by the example of a inverted pendulum.

11-Deoxydaunomycinone 15 and 10-fluoroanthracyclinone derivatives 9, 10 were obtained. Naphthalenone 4 prepared from 2-(2,4-pentadienyl)-1,3-dioxane 2 with methyl vinyl ketone and hydrolysis with HClO4 was condensed with phthalidesulfone 5 through Michael type reaction, and was converted to 7 by epoxidation. Epoxide 7 was transformed to trione 12 using reduction-oxidation or hydrofluorination process, and then to 15 by introducing several functional groups. Compound 8 obtained in the course of the reaction of epoxide 7 and HF/ Pyr was used for the synthesis of compounds 9, 10.

Some problems in engineering and science can be equivalently transformed into solving multi-linear systems. In this paper, we propose two preconditioned AOR iteration methods to solve multi-linear systems with -tensor. Based on these methods, the general conditions of preconditioners are given. We give the convergence theorem and comparison theorem of the two methods. The results of numerical examples show that methods we propose are more effective.

In this paper, we discuss the connection between the 5-dimensional complex Lie algebra ${\mathcal{K}} _5$ and Special functions. We construct certain two variable models of the irreducible representations of ${\mathcal{K}}_5$. We also use an Euler type integral transformation to obtain the new transformed models, in which the basis function appears as $_2F_1$. Further, we utilize these models to get some generating functions and recurrence relations.
