Design and Verification of PCI 2.2 Target Controller to support Prefetch Request (프리페치 요구를 지원하는 PCI 2.2 타겟 컨트롤러 설계 및 검증)

  • When a PCI 2.2 bus master requests data using Memory Read command, a target device may hold PCI bus without data to be transferred for long time because a target device needs time to prepare data infernally. Because the usage efficiency of the PCI bus and the data transfer efficiency are decreased due to this situation, the PCI specification recommends to use the Delayed Transaction mechanism to improve the system performance. But the mechanism cann't fully improve performance because a target device doesn't know the exact size of prefetched data. In the previous work, we propose a new method called Prefetch Request when a bus master intends to read data from the target device. In this paper, we design PCI 2.2 controller and local device that support the proposed method. The designed PCI 2.2 controller has simple local interface and it is used to convert the PCI protocol into the local protocol. So the typical users, who don't know the PCI protocol, can easily design the PCI target device using the proposed PCI controller. We propose the basic behavioral verification, hardware design verification, and random test verification to verify the designed hardware. We also build the test bench and define assembler instructions. And we propose random testing environment, which consist of reference model, random generator ,and compare engine, to efficiently verify corner case. This verification environment is excellent to find error which is not detected by general test vector. Also, the simulation under the proposed test environment shows that the proposed method has the higher data transfer efficiency than the Delayed Transaction about $9\%$.

  • A submarine power cable is a transmission cable for carrying electric power below the surface of the water. Recently, submarine cables transfer power from offshore renewable energy schemes to shore, e.g. wind, wave and tidal systems, and these cables are either buried in the seabed or lie on the ocean floor, depending on their location. Since these power cables are used in the extreme environments, they are made to withstand in harsh conditions and temperatures, and strong currents. However, undersea conditions are severe enough to cause all sorts of damage to offshore cables, these conditions result in cable faults that disrupt power transmission. In this paper, we explore the design criteria for such cables and the procedures and challenges of installation, and cable transfer splicing system. The specification of submarine cable designed with 3 circuits of 154kV which is composed of the existing single circuit and new double circuits, and power capacity of 100MVA per cable line. The determination of new submarine cable burial depth and cable arrangement method with both existing and new cables are studied. We have calculated the permission values of cable power capacity for underground route, the values show the over 100MW per cable line.

  • Bluetooth technology is a publicly available specification proposed for Radio Frequency (RF) communication for short-range :1nd point-to-multipoint voice and data transfer. It operates in the 2.4㎓ ISM(Industrial, Scientific and Medical) band and offers the potential for low-cost, broadband wireless access for various mobile and portable devices at range of about 10 meters. In this paper, we describe the structure and the test results of the bluetooth baseband module with direct memory access method we have developed. This module consists of three blocks; link controller, UART interface, and audio CODEC. This module has a bus interface for data communication between this module and main processor and a RF interface for the transmission of bit-stream between this module and RF module. The bus interface includes DMA interface. Compared with the link controller with FIFOs, The module with DMA has a wide difference in size of module and speed of data processing. The small size module supplies lorr cost and various applications. In addition, this supports a firmware upgrade capability through UART. An FPGA and an ASIC implementation of this module, designed as soft If, are tested for file and bit-stream transfers between PCs.

  • Standardization or standard-related study are regarded as main issues in GIS applications. Though several GIS standards and specifications have been released, there are a few actual application cases adapting those. In this study, we designed and implemented a geo-spatial information processing system with editing, storing, and disseminating functions, in which standard GIS transportation data model by TTA linked with OGC-GML, XML-based geographic features encoding standard. The system developed in this study enables us to transfer and edit transportation entities based on TTA standards to GML, importing ESRI shapefile. In web-based system, GML-based databases are transformed to SVG file, for the purpose of web publishing. TTA GIS transportation data model is used in this study, and tested; however, standard data models from other application fields also can be easily applied because this system basically provides data importing and editing functions. This system as practical tools can be utilized for applicability test of GIS standard data model and practical operation of standard specification.

  • The heating, ventilating, air conditioning (HVAC) system is a very important part of an automotive vehicle: it controls the microclimate inside the passenger's compartment and removes the frost or mist that is produced in cold/rainy weather. In this study, the numerical analysis of the defrost duct in an HVAC system and the de-icing pattern is carried out using commercial CFX-code. The mass flow distribution and flow structure at the outlet of the defrost duct satisfied the duct design specification. For analyzing the de-icing pattern, additional grid generation of solid domain of ice and glass is pre-defined for conductive heat transfer. The flow structure near the windshield, streakline, and temperature fields clearly indicate that the de-icing capacity of the given defrost duct configuration is excellent and that it can be operated in a stable manner. In this paper, the unsteady changes in temperature, water volume fraction, and static enthalpy at four monitoring points are discussed.

  • The flow of a universal system-level design methodology consists of system specification, system-level hardware/software partitioning, co-design, co-verification using virtual or physical prototype, and system integration. In the developing process of a hardware component in system, the design phase has been regarded as a phase consuming lots of time and cost. However, the verification phase in which functionality of the designed component is verified has recently been considered as a much important phase. In this paper, the implementation of a verification environment which is based on SystemC infrastructure and verifies the functionality of a hardware component is described. The proposed verification system uses SystemC user-defined channel as communication interface between variables of SystemC module and registers of Verilog module. The functional verification of an UART is performed on the proposed verification system. SystemC provides class library for hardware modeling and has an advantage of being able to design a system consisting hardware and software in higher abstraction level than register transfer level. Source codes of SystemC modules are reusable with a minor adaptation on verifying functionality of another hardware component.

  • 가입자가 B-ISDN(Broadband Integrated Services Digital Network) 서비스에 대한 shb은 수준의 품질 및 안정적인 서비스 제공을 요구함에 따라, 이러한 서비스를 제공하기 위한 ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) 교환기에 대한 신뢰성 설계의 중요성은 증가하 고 있다. 교환기의 중요한 신뢰성 성능 척도 중의 하나인 연결 절단율 (Cutoff connection rate)은 총 연결시간 동안 절단된 연결수로 정의되며, 연결 절단은 호 설정 (Call setup) 단 계를 지나 서비스 중인 연결이 사용자의 요구가 아닌 시스템의 고장으로 종료될 때 발생한 다. 연결 절단율 추정 문제는 기존의 신뢰도 또는 가용도 예측을 위한 시뮬레이션과는 달리 시스템 구성 유니트들의 고장율, 수리율, 그리고 요구된 연결의 트래픽 특성 부분이 혼합된 문제이다. 따라서, B-ISDN 서비스의 중요한 특징인 다양한 트래픽 특성과 시스템의 구성 (Configuration)을 고려하여 연결 절단율을 해석적인 방법을 통하여 추정하는 데네는 어려 움이 있으며 시뮬레이션에 의한 방법이 적절하다. 본 고에서는 B-ISDN 서비스의 트래픽 특 성과 ATM 교환기의 시스템 구성 및 신뢰도 데이터로부터 시스템의 연결 절단율을 추정하 기 위한 시뮬레이터의 기능 및 구조, 시뮬레이션 수행 결과 등을 제시한다. 시뮬레이터는 AweSim 시뮬레이션과 CUser Written Code를 사용하여 개발하였다. 시뮬레이터의 구성 모듈은 크게 호 도착 모듈, 연결 제어 및 자원 할당 모듈, 유니트 고장 및 수리 모듈, 통계 량 수집 모듈 등으로 구성된다. 개발된 시뮬레이터는 B-ISDN 트래픽 파라메터와 연결 절단 율의 상호 관계 규명 및 시스템 설계 대안 (Design alternatives)에 대한 비교/평가에 활용 된다., 수중생물의 경우는 특히 수온, 수량 영양원등이다.(중략). 본 연구의 접근방법으로는 ASRS의 개념적인 Reference Model을 수립하고 이 Reference Model에 대한 Formal Model로 DEVS(Discrete Event System Specification)을 이용하여 시스템을 Modeling하였다. 이의 Computer Simulation을 위하여 DEVS형식론 환경에서의 Simulation Language인 DEVSim ++ⓒ를 이용하여 시스템을 구현하였다.. 실형 결과로는 먼저 선형 상미분방정식의 예로 mass-damper-spring system, 비선형 상미분방정식의 예로는 van der Pol 방정식, 연립 상미분방정식의 예로는 mixing tank problem 등을 보였으며, 그의 공학에서 일어나는 여러 가지 문제들도 다루었다.화물에 대한 방어력이 증가되어 나타난 결과로 여겨지며, 또한 혈청중의 ALT, ALP 및 LDH활성을 유의성있게 감소시키므로서 감잎 phenolic compounds가 에탄올에 의한 간세포 손상에 대한 해독 및 보호작용이 있는 것으로 사료된다.반적으로 홍삼 제조시 내공의 발생은 제조공정에서 나타나는 경우가 많으며, 내백의 경우는 홍삼으로 가공되면서 발생하는 경우가 있고, 인삼이 성장될 때 부분적인 영양상태의 불충분이나 기후 등에 따른 영향을 받을 수 있기 때문에 앞으로 이에 대한 많은 연구가 이루어져야할 것으로 판단된다.태에도 불구하고 [-wh]의미의 겹의문사는 병렬적 관계의 합성어가 아니라 내부구조를 지니지 않은 단순한 단어(minimal $X^{0}$ elements)로 가정한다. 즉, [+wh] 의미의 겹의문사는 동일한 구성요 소를 지닌 병렬적 합성어([$[W1]_{XO-}$ $[W1]_{XO}$ ]$_{XO}$

A Preliminary Study on the Fire Safety Testing Method for Fire-resistance Paints Using an X-ray Analysis Method (X-선 분석법을 이용한 내화도료의 화재안전성 평가 방법에 관한 기초연구)

  • Fire-resistance paints are supposed to become intumescent and diminish heat transfer along the steel frames in case of a fire. If unsatisfactory fire-resistance paints which do not satisfy their standard specification are used, it may result in a severe disaster. Because satisfactory fire-resistance paints are hardly discriminated from the unsatisfactory ones by a simple visual inspection, more reliable and convenient onsite evaluation methods are necessary. Here we report the preliminary study result on the fire safety testing method for fire-resistance paints using an X-ray analysis method. It was found that the existence and quantity of effective constituents in fire-resistance paints can be detected by the X-ray analysis method. X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analyses showed that P and Cl elements are much more enriched in fire-resistance paints, compared to normal paints. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analyses showed that ammonium polyphosphate is present as the main crystalline material in fire-resistance paints, but absent in normal paints. The X-ray analysis method is expected to be used for the onsite inspection of fire-resistance paints with the upcoming availability of portable XRF and XRD instruments.

  • In this paper, CCTV based fire surveillance system should aim to development. Advantages and Disadvantages analyzed of Existing sensor-based fire surveillance system and video-based fire surveillance system. To national support U-City, U-Home, U-Campus, etc, spread the ubiquitous environment appropriate to fire surveillance system model and a fire judgement technology. For this study, Microsoft LifeCam VX-1000 using through the capturing images and analyzed for apple and tomato, Finally we used H.264. The client uses the Linux OS with ARM9 S3C2440 board was manufactured, the client's role is passed to the server to processed capturing image. Client and the server is basically a 1:1 video communications. So to multiple receive to video multicast support will be a specification. Is fire surveillance system designed for multiple video communication. Video data from the RGB format to YUV format and transfer and fire detection for Y value. Y value is know movement data. The red color of the fire is determined to detect and calculate the value of Y at the fire continues to detect the movement of flame.

The Details and Outlook of Three Data Acts Amendment in South Korea: With a Focus on the Changes of Domestic Financial and Data Industry (데이터 3법 개정안의 내용과 전망: 국내 금융 및 데이터 산업계의 변화를 중심으로)

  • This study analyzes the major content, significances, and future outlook of Three Data Acts amendment enacted in August 2020 in South Korea, with the focus on their impact on the financial and data industries. It seems that the revision of the Credit Information Act will enable the specification of a business which had previously only been regulated as the business of credit inquiry, and also enable the domestic data industry to activate the MyData industry, data trading and platforms, and specify data pseudonymization and trading procedures. For the rational and efficient implementation of the amendments to the Three Data Acts, the Personal Information Protection Committee must be as transparent and lawful in its activities as possible, and fairness must be guaranteed. Even in the utilization of personal information, the development or complementation of the related data processing technologies is essential, and clear data processing methods and areas must be regulated. Furthermore, the amendments must be supported with guarantees and the systematization of a fair competitive system in the data market, stricter regulations on penalties for illegal acts related to data, establishment and strengthening of the related security systems, and reinforcement of the system of cooperation for data transfer.
